Regardless of how noble a charity people might put forward, you might get a consensus of sorts, but probably not total agreement. I've seen a few scams in the forum including one purporting to be in the name of the forum but the ones organising the fundraising simply pocketed the funds instead.

I'll go along with the majority if it is an auction then either we divy the funds up equally and dispose of the funds ourselves. Or, if there is a consensus for one charity that is not regional but global e.g. UNICEF or similar, then I won't mind that.

Heh - Yeh, I just put what had arrived in my Post Box into a larger heavy card envelope and sent it on its merry way.

I'm wondering who might end up with the book and what plans there might be for a second book to start doing the rounds in the not too distant future?
304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Rugby] RUGBY WORLD CUP - sweep - 0.000735 to join on: October 13, 2023, 04:31:32 AM
Starting tomorrow evening my time is the 2023 Rugby League Pacific Championships

followed a week later by week two:

and then a third weekend of competition before the finals.

In the men's games for week one, I'll go with Australia and PNG while in the Women's, I'm leaning towards NZ and Samoa.

Week two, I think I'll go for New Zealand and Fiji then the New Zealand and PNG teams for the women's comp.

I haven't placed any bets as yet and may changing my selections once I see what the odds are.
305  Other / Meta / Re: How many people use Tor to access TalkImg? on: October 13, 2023, 01:22:34 AM
I've answered "yes" to using TOR - at the insistence of @suchmoon a couple of years ago.  As soon as I clicked "yes", I thought I should probably clarify that I also use it for BPIP, ninjastic and the bitcointalk forum site.

On occasion, I will also check out the conversion site and the web.archive.org site, however, the archive.today website requires the "prove you're not a robot" check box (which never works properly) (both of those I mainly use via Firefox in the clear), but apart from that, just the four (talkimg, ninjastic BPIP and bitcointalk).

I'll also reference mempool.space or some of the broadcast your RAW transaction sites, but that's not on a daily basis.

joeperry    2022-01-30    Reference    Plagiarism - Blog Campaign. See reference.

but the reference is a spreadsheet.

Can anyone spread light on what the plagerism was?  The user was Hecame but they weren't banned for said plagerism.

Although there doesn't seem to be a connection via user creation date for the two additions, it's interesting that Tornbit and gogolong BOTH wake up on the 19th of September - two years apart .

You can probably look at Kim Jong Un's crossing of the South Korea border during Trump's admin

You have that back-to-front

It was Trump who crossed the border, not Kim.

... but this attempt to discount them isn't accurate.

Yeh it's a scam - OP got told what a Pawn shop is then started another thread in a different section playing ignorant in the hopes of getting a different answer.

Jewellery can be returned to its rightful owner if taken to a pawn shop hence the OP is looking for another venue to fence their gear.

Notice how the OP hasn't been back in the last week once they were called out?

@Timelord2067 - whatever happens hold onto the wagers until the final or both our teams
are out.

Yeh sure - what ever is easiest for you.

My bets on the semi finals are as I flagged in my previous post:

You might want to scroll back through the last few pages of the thread - others will disagree with you given there is not much else in the way of a connection between the two.
312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Rugby] RUGBY WORLD CUP - sweep - 0.000735 to join on: October 08, 2023, 09:45:46 AM
Ireland beat Scotland 36 - 14
England only just scraped in over Samoa 18 - 17
Wales convincingly bet Georgia 43 - 19

I saw in Friday that England are already into the semi finals even before their encounter with Samoa.

Argentina play Japan in a couple of hours. I'm still expecting Japan to win but it's a must win for both teams who are tied for second on nine points in their group.  Then, as the day progresses, Romania and Tonga square off before Portugal and Fiji play.

Argentina are into the semifinals with a convincing win over Japan. At half time Japan trailed by just one point, but in the second half Argentina slowly edged ahead and by the seventith minute had etched out a comfortable lead.

Final score Argentina 39 - Japan 27

Next up, Tonga and Romania face off in around two hours.

@Apocallypse - you haven't archived anything. Plus you're relying on a deleted post more or less as your sole proof.

Please go back and find something more substantial (and archive what little you have).
314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Rugby] RUGBY WORLD CUP - sweep - 0.000735 to join on: October 06, 2023, 01:02:24 AM

New Zealand - over 79.5 @ 1.85 is a realistic bet I think!

Alternatively Uruguay under 79.5 @ 2.45?

Final score 73 - 0

I get the "over" but what does it mean "under" for Uruguay?  I can never figure those bets out. (serious question) does that mean if they keep New Zealand to under a 79.5 leed you win a payout?

Other scores - Australia 34 - 14 over Portugal

RSA 49 - 18 Tonga (at least it wasn't a blood bath)

Tomorrow, Italy and France... (look away, it's going to be painful)

Why don't you post from your main account instead of your "activity 140" account when "speaking from authority" about the "vast number of threads you have created" and "how you like to just write without asking questions" (in the four months this current UID of yours has been alive)...

What do you *really* want to know?

I've also got a few 2022 Ballet Lunar New Year cards and was wondering the same thing:

Are they all the same pattern on the cards?  I may be interested depending on what your asking price is.

At the moment, South Africa (15) England, Wales, Ireland (14 each) and France (13) are all at the top of the points with Australia (11) and New Zealand (10) and Argentina (9) filling the top two of each pools.

(source https://www.rugbyworldcup.com/2023/pools )

The semis according to the website show the top two teams from each pool progress as follows:

which would mean Japan will be out unless they can overtake Argentina (the same goes for Fiji overtaking Australia)

If these campaigns are plagued with non payment as a couple of the previous posters have alluded to, then why do CM take on the job *without* securing funds to pay the campaign participants?
320  Economy / Reputation / Re: Known Alts of any-one - A User Generated List Mk IV (2023 Q4) [MODERATED] 🔬 on: October 05, 2023, 09:38:28 AM
Their main account is probably trying to join the same campaign hence they are trying to knock off the rivals to enable them to have an open slot.

They must have re-posted just after I was last online - I've deleted their most recent post again.
