302  Local / India / Re: Help : Tax Advice for Crypto Hodlers ? on: June 11, 2019, 02:17:06 PM
Thanks for all the above answers.

What if the crypto acquired through some service like crypto games etc? Will it be 30% ? In this case the investement is barely around $1k and profit is around $100k.
I am not good at calculating these taxes but as long as you are keeping it as crypto then it is not taxable.

When you are converting it into fiat cash then pay income tax according to that.Might be some auditior can help this to solve.
303  Local / Press & News from India / Re: Reserve Bank of India Denies Involvement in Draft Bill to Ban Cryptocurrencies on: June 11, 2019, 01:36:37 PM
Saw an article regarding this draft of banning cryptocurrencies in the economic Times newspaper website so this is also a false information are they just post this article without investigation further that news is true or false?

This is just clickbait on a whole new level. I saw prices crash everywhere including localbitcoins.. It is the traders that take so much damage and eventually go out of business..

"But there may be a change in the draft bill to have a mild punishment for those using cryptocurrencies on a “non-commercial basis”, another government official told BloombergQuint requesting anonymity as he’s not authorised to speak with the media. These individuals, he said, shall be punishable with a fine that will be notified by the central government."

Ban coming soon!
Government officials are not ruling government,it needs to be taken care by the ruling party I guess.

Anyone say soon need to mention how soon it will happen?

Because immediate actions happening in India is like world wonder.

https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/economy/finance/draft-law-proposes-10-year-jail-term-for-dealing-in-cryptocurrency/articleshow/69693984.cms

Guys , did anyone read this? Indian government is going to impose 10 years jail for holding , mining or trading in cryptocurrencies. This is not fair.
Its just a proposal, but there is no official related thing released related to this news.

So until now you can do whatever you want in India with crypto currencies.
306  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is anonymous betting a desired feature? on: June 09, 2019, 03:59:45 PM
many users want anonymous features in betting. much reasoned by betting using anonymity that their privacy is protected. and there are also reasons that using anonymous features is very helpful to them if in their residence country, betting is against the law.
Even if we are playing in a registered gambling sites with crypto,do you think we can be tracked?

Anonymous betting is a good feature but without registration look unsecured way of betting,if there is any issues happens on getting rewards what can we do?

There will be no way to prove we actually bet on it.
If we want to gamble, we must have to register first and we don't have a choice but to do that.
One reason why some of the gamblers today want to bet using crypto is that they are giving an opportunity to play anonymously and even young minds can make some bets. Keeping it anonymously will also one of our security and some sort of protection from the crowd.
Thats what I said we can even play anonymously with cryptos after finishing registrations at gambling sites.

Guest mode look unsecured for me.

309  Other / Off-topic / Re: Don't know what to do with my boring $260 paypal. on: June 09, 2019, 06:12:24 AM
Hello fellas, I got $260 paypal funds, from a trusted source  ofcourse but I didn't know much about Paypal with their current rules. I'm asked to "Accept the money" i.e the $260 and when I click on it, it directs me to some document verification. Can anyone help?? I just need the 200$ and the 60 will be yours.
Thanks.
If it's asking for document verification then it's asking for your identity to prove. You need to give them your driving license, any kind of bills to prove address etc stuffs. They should have a clear instruction on their site. Just explore.
I bought the paypal account, it's already verified.
Chances for the old owner to regain the access are high because he has the verified documents so he can be able to access from another device. So it looks like you are going to be scammed but later.
310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling frustration and depression on: June 09, 2019, 05:26:22 AM
Definitely, there will be time that you will be disappointed and then frustration and depression sets in. When I was still working, when I have a big lost in casino, I will just call in sick the next day and doesn't want to go to work because of it. But as I have became mature enough, and just afford money that I'm willing to lose, then suddenly I don't have that depression I experienced in my early years in gambling.
You said it looks so easy but I think you even didn't come out of that situation so easily, there might be some struggle to get the gambling for money mindset out. When someone lost their money which is not affordable for them then its normal that they feel depressed but we can't do anything about lost money so just make more money and increase your level of affordability.

312  Local / India / Re: Indian Govt Planning Ban on Crypto on: June 08, 2019, 07:01:15 PM

313  Local / India / Re: Scammers in Indian crypto Market. on: June 08, 2019, 06:02:57 PM
What you mean by companies?

There is no registered company related to cryptos, only exchange but I am not using it anymore due to the fact they are not supporting fiat withdrawals.

Scammers can be easily identified when you know what is crypto.

315  Other / Serious discussion / Re: What are we wasting our Lives on? on: June 08, 2019, 07:01:34 AM
25 days, 3 hours and 7 minutes spent on bitcointalk.
Time is your most valuable asset: never waste it; enjoy spending it as often as possible.

331 days

12 hours

6 minutes

On btc

Did that in seven years.

Which is about 4 hours a day
But there is someone called "hmblm1245" has been online on bitcointalk for "2336d 23h 31m"
Which is nearly 6.4 years. Shocked

But didn't post anything since 24 May 2016,but still online at the moment. How is it possible?

317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which altcoins in binance best to trade small profits? on: June 07, 2019, 07:29:00 PM
Which altcoins in binance best to trade small profits?

I'm looking for at least 1~5% profits a day with my $1000.
Looking to diversify 10 coins that can bring me 1~5% per trade in daily basis.

What are the recommended stop-loss to do for this kind of trade.
It is not possible to pick a particular trading pair and making profits everyday through it,you may need to change the trading pair too often or just concentrate on the long term trading. If day trading is easier as you think then everyone will go for it.
318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Worthy to invest in Grin on: June 07, 2019, 07:02:17 PM
Grin is a new coin and I have heard a lot about it. Bitcointalk forum admin has started to accept grin as a payment method. Is it worthy to invest in grin now? The current price is $4.50 or something like that. What do you think? Will it increase or decrease more?
I know about this kind only when bitcointalk accept this form of payment but admin clearly mentioned that it is not promoting that coin so you can't invest based on bitcointalk reputation.I didn't make any investment on the coin but many people suggest that it can be a good coin for future due to its light weight.

319  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Have you actually used bitcoin for any payment in your country? on: June 07, 2019, 05:58:31 PM
I know some merchants related to selling electronics accepts bitcoin as payments but they are not having this feature in public for some reasons so if I have bitcoin then I can buy things with it.
320  Economy / Speculation / Re: When money is inflated, where does it go? on: June 07, 2019, 04:27:10 PM

Is the government given this money? I'm talking about the UK but if there's the same or different elsewhere then feel free to discuss thst too.
Money is going to the government in the form of taxes. Cheesy

They are printing money to give loan for us,then we are paying half to banks and remaining to government so they are printing more money and the cycle repeats.
