301  Economy / Services / Re: YoBit.Net - Signature Campaign - Realtime Payouts (daily) on: December 09, 2015, 04:23:58 PM
I remember that if you remove the dot the email is still yours too. Technically, I think so so please check it again if it works

Nope, I highly doubt that. You mean that if I send email to first.lastname@gmail.com WITHOUT the dot, it would still come to my email address with the dot? Very hard to believe. That would mean emails like "the.bitcoin.lover@gmail.com" "thebitcoinlover@gmail.com" "thebitcoin.lover@gmail.com" etc would all land in same inbox. Simply not possible. I think YoBit has just very idiotic script claiming gmail username could not have dot, while they indeed can and I would assume most normal emails created with your own name has at least one dot.
302  Economy / Speculation / Re: So the panick buying is kicking in.. on: December 09, 2015, 11:45:39 AM
FOMO is real! Must... Buy... More...

No but in all seriousness seems like big resistance whale was slaughtered and we are on steady deserved rise once again. And yes. I will buy more.
303  Economy / Services / Re: YoBit.Net - Signature Campaign - Realtime Payouts (daily) on: December 09, 2015, 11:40:23 AM
I registered now to this campaign. Noticed one thing while creating my YoBit account.. It gave me error "Gmail email cannot contain dot in the username". What? Imagine how many people uses first.lastname@gmail.com and you say it cannot contain dot? Well, I didn't get past the error so had to use my secondary address without dots.
304  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price in 2016 on: December 09, 2015, 11:31:38 AM
Let me check my crystal ball..

I think we will definitely see rise in 2016. I feel that bitcoin adaption has only risen this year and will keep doing so. More and more news about bitcoin on mainstream media. Even my mom lately asked me what are bitcoins and how could she get some. No, she did not hear about those from me.

I think bitcoin will be well over $500 during 2016. How much over, we will see. $1000 or more is very possible too.
305  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Bitcoin Faucets and Bitcoin Information on: December 09, 2015, 10:41:10 AM
Very ugly site full of advertisements. Sorry to say but I did not enjoy and those ads ended my visit before it really even started.
306  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this Satoshi, and if so, what does his 1M btc mean for bitcoin's price? on: December 09, 2015, 10:39:35 AM
Don't jump to conclusion, maybe he asked for their protection.

What makes you think so? Not likely at all from my perspective. It also reads this on the article;

Quote
The Australian Federal police said in a statement that the raids were not related to the bitcoin claims. “The AFP can confirm it has conducted search warrants to assist the Australian Taxation Office at a residence in Gordon and a business premises in Ryde, Sydney. This matter is unrelated to recent media reporting regarding the digital currency bitcoin.”

Boldings are mine. If Wright would have indeed asked this then it sounds like it does relate to the recent claims. Also what the taxation office would have anything to do with it?
307  Economy / Services / Re: Need 2 sentences translated in several languages - 10000 satoshi on: December 04, 2015, 01:51:44 PM
I am native Finnish and actually work as a content writer too, which requires also occasional translations from English. I can do this perfectly for you in Finnish if needed.
308  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What will happen to u confirmed transactions? on: December 03, 2015, 01:36:09 PM
Would just like to point out that you are correct that 6+ hours is a long time for a simple local transaction, but it is an amazing speed for an international transaction.  Especially considering that the network is still in beta, was experiencing an attack, and that the fee paid was less than four cents.

This exactly. Also to be honest, 6+ hours is not long time even for 'simple local transaction' as most European countries still take one banking day even to transfer money inside the country if banks are different. I am Finnish and for example in Finland if you transfer from Bank 1 to Bank 2 (both banks operating in Finland) it will take 1-3 banking days. Regular SEPA transfer. In Finland we can only make instant transfers within the same bank.
309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: paypal or bitcoin? on: December 01, 2015, 12:11:57 PM
Bitcoin all the way. No questions about it. I mean seriously, you cannot even compare the two.

1. PayPal can be charged back. This is bad when you are small seller.
2. PayPal demands all kind of information.
3. PayPal can freeze and lock your account when they feel like it. Mine is currently limited for no good reason.
4. PayPal has higher fees.

Four very good reasons for me already to boycott PayPal. Like mentioned my account there is limited since last July and I have no intentions of solving and opening it anymore. I am just done with PayPal. Done. Keep my cents, keep my account. I don't need or want it anymore.
310  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Faucet Claims on: December 01, 2015, 10:36:44 AM
Yap. Like mentioned here many times now, faucets are simply not worth it. You cannot earn anything big from those or at least it will take you long long time. Remember that time is money too, so if you appreciate and value your time it's safe to say these are not worth it. Not even close.
311  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: November 30, 2015, 10:52:09 AM
This is very long running and trustworthy faucet. Been getting payments from them for over a year now.
312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in 2015: Why did bitcoin fail? on: November 30, 2015, 08:31:45 AM
Well in my opinion bitcoin hasn't failed so question such as this cannot be answered.

314  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie qestion about wallets on: November 27, 2015, 08:40:50 AM
thats exactly what im asking...   how do I make MY bitcoins MIne, permanently unless I spend it?

By storing your own keys. Please try to understand this; blockchain.info is online service. If you open wallet with them, your wallets private key is on their servers. They own your key, they own your coin. You just have password which you can use to move those coins. You have the right to move them around - to use them, but you do not have the private keys solely with you. Blockchain.info has it. In this situation, if blockchain.info decided to close the site, take the coins and run, they could do it. If blockchain.infos servers get destroyed completely in World War 3 for example your coins are gone too.

So how you can make your coins your? Store them yourself. Use desktop wallet, where YOU have your own private keys, not anyone else. One of the best desktop wallets where you do not need to download the whole blockchain is Electrum. I use it myself and can definitely recommend. Cold, offline wallet is even better and I would recommend that for any bigger amounts or if you simply know you are going to hold, not spend. Paper wallet is secure enough if done correctly but there is also hardware wallets like Trezor, which allows you to also spend your coins from 'offline' wallet quite easily.

Look these things up, read and learn! Bitcoins basics are essentially very easy to understand when you get the grip of it.
315  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.35 btc on: November 26, 2015, 11:08:12 PM
Very shady. First post here and clearly the account is made only for this.

Also, just hypothetically, if I would loan you the funds why would I want rate tied to USD? To me that just sounds bad and risky. I could easily loose on that. 0.35 BTC is currently worth $123 (1 BTC = $351). Let's say the price continues the upward trend it has had lately and after 20 days it has reached magical $500 as an early Christmas present for us all. Now you would be paying $153.75 ($123 + 25%) in fiat back which only gets me 0.3075 BTC. As this is bitcoin forum we can safely assume I want bitcoins and I want to raise my bitcoin amount. Not loose on bitcoins.

Why I would loan money to you when there is risk that I end up getting the hit? Why would you count the interest to different currency than the one used in the deal? That makes no sense. Kind of the same thing if I would loan $100 from you now, base it on Chinese Yuan (638.94 CYN) and count interest for the Yuan price. If Yuan happens to take a dive I will give you less dollars than you gave me.
316  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: can't restore wallet with over 40k btc in it. Please HELP! on: November 26, 2015, 10:43:06 PM
Yeah, very interesting read even years later. Who would have guessed?
317  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you store your bitcoins ? on: November 26, 2015, 11:44:06 AM
Currently I store most of my bitcoins in Electrum wallet. I do not worry about security too much, because I am very familiar with IT and know how to avoid most viruses, keyloggers and such.. With common sense these regular wallets used with your PC are very secure already.

I am planning to buy Trezor however very soon to keep as more secure cold wallet. When that happens I will use Electrum only as a hot wallet for purchases etc.
318  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best way to earn Bitcoins? on: November 26, 2015, 11:38:39 AM
Best ways to earn bitcoins are pretty much the same as best ways to earn money;

* Start up a business of some sort and work hard.
* Invest your funds in to something and wait.
* Do not spend too much and budget your purchases.

There is no shortcuts. Faucets, signature campaigns and all these can be methods to earn some cents, but they are definitely not the best ways to earn lot of bitcoins. Not even close.
319  Other / Archival / Re: Last Drink You drank. (daily thread) on: November 26, 2015, 11:09:37 AM
Coffee. I absolutely love coffee, it's a must for all mornings and working days.
320  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you a religious person or not? on: November 26, 2015, 11:02:48 AM
I am not religious, at all. If I could, I would wipe all religions from this world.

It really is almost absurd how many adults believe in god still in 2015 and support religions. To me it is a straight away sign of persons intellectual capabilities. Seriously, religions cause so much bad in this world through wars and conflicts and all what it essentially is, is bunch of grown up people competing whose imaginary friend is the best. Ridiculous.
