Bitcoin was supposed to be used as a currency, not only a form of investment. However, it's been more successful as a form of investment, a "speculative asset".
Do you guys think that this can change in the long term ?
Bitcoin is used as currency in some quarters but not yet generally accepted as currency because the level of awareness is somehow low. I think in the long run, Bitcoin and the entire cryptocurrency family will get more acceptability. Bitcoin succeed as a form of investment because of the volatile characteristic it has. This makes people buy it at a low price and sell when the value goes up. |

Over the short term, it means getting educated about the technology and adapting some business processes. Over the long term, it offers increased simplicity, greater efficiency and lower costs.
I think this number is a bit too low to the actual number of merchants that has embraced and accepted bitcoin. Cryptocurrencies are gradually being accepted everywhere in the world. I think those that are yet to accept it need to be educated on the benefits of its acceptance. With more awareness, i hope all countries can adopt it as a form of digital currency. |

Most of the project that find it difficult to send bounty reward quickly after bounty campaign end up telling you that they have not meet soft cap. Before you know what is happening, the project has dead. The best ones are the ones that send your reward within a month of finishing campaign

Investing in different coin is a good idea since nobody knows what can happen tomorrow. In 2006, we all don't know Bitcoin but all of a sudden it was introduced and those that invested in Bitcoin then has never regretted it. If they fail to invest then, they won't have the opportunity. Investment in different coin is good, who knows the coin might soar high if it has a very good project that it is developed for.

Hi, I have just registered to get some ideas about good coins to buy and hodl for a long term.
I don't want to invest in coins that are now in a bubble but coins with a real project behind with a promising future and of course increase of its price.
I also don't like to invest in ICO's.
I am watching some projects that have interesting platforms already launched in beta and still don't have much media attention, and still it is easy to get in direct touch with their teams and still are not on big exchanges.
Any tips?
