Crypto-Zoidberg will make a decision this weekend.
If I am lucky, my chosen name: LibertyNote will win I hate technical-oriented names although I am a hard-core developer BoolBerry has a lot of rooms to evolve. Its name should not limit its potential. Dark- or SuperDark- are all super stupid names I like the Berry element a lot. It's easy to remember, forms a nice picture in your head and is quite unique. Not so sure about the Bool though.

Some more to bounce ideas off:
--
ECHOCOIN
AEROTRACE
BERRYLL <- My favorite.
ESPORE
KEYSEED <- Maybe too close to Gridseed?
--
I'm approaching this phonetically rather than what any of those names could mean.
If we find a name with a ring to it then we can find what makes it so appealing.

RADIUS
and radius.org seems to be available.
Nice name but.. About 56,600,000 results well, i mean if you really want a name that suits an innovative cryptocurrency and gives only a handful results on google.. what options do you have? Maybe RAYDIUS ? Has an edge, turns up about 9.6k results and even raydius.com is still available.

Ripple is great, so is splash. but these terms are very broad. ripple had deep pockets already to buy-out domain and handle marketing. here is my idea Neutral, short (2 syllables) unique- reflects cash properties as well reference to underlying algo. Google: About 20 results It's a good idea, but Keccak isn't pronounced that way. This would be pretty embarrassing. It sounds arabic or slavic.. Like Goulascz or an iranian dish.. No offense :/

Monero will surpass Dark, I think it's still cheap.
It has the potential to do that. Based on the technicals at least.

I followed this guide: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=613072.0No pools except http://monero.crypto-pool.fr/ allowed me to connect I mined all night with 1kh/s, not even 0.000001 in my wallet Wallet loads proper when I run bitmonerod.exe and try to refresh wallet i get Error: refresh failed: daemon is busy. Please try later. Blocks received: 0 Could someone please help me get this working? I don't know why the other pools give me errors when connecting and the crypto-pool doesn't. I think you mistaken 1 H/s to 1 KH/s. The hash rate showed on miner is in H/s. My mistake it's not 1 Kh/s ( Hash Rate: 97.22 H/sec ) is what shows on pool. I confused 100h/s as 1kh/s instead of 1,000h/s What I need help on is the other things mentioned, if you can help with those then that would actually be appreciated use pool @ minergate.com , and you should get about 1 MRO with current diff and your hash rate. You have to wait until blockchain is synced in deammon, than you can refresh wallet How can you guarantee that? I'm on Extremepool with more than 3 times the hasrate of Minergate and it's quite difficult to find blocks.. because i started mining mro at minergate 7 hours ago, and during that time i mined 0.37 MRO, multiply it by 3.42 and you will get number of coins per 24h. And I also have 100hs hash rate, so that is around 1.26 mro per day. Oh, ok. I see. Let's talk again tomorrow when no block comes around for 12 hours

still wondering how much can i expect with a i6 a day?
Same here. Running an I7 2600 and an FX 4300. Making between 20-25 h/s on a pool. (Low hashrate cause I can't use all cores) What are my expected earnings (Monero) in 24 hours? The formula is your hash rate times the block reward (currently a bit under 17) times 86400 divided by the difficulty (currently 96 million) Cheers! According to your formula that would be 0,03 MRO per day... Not really worth the extra heat and effort I guess. (Free electricity) It's actually 0.3 and it is almost certainly profitable over the cost of electricity (unless you pay an awful lot). If you solo mine you will probably get a higher effective hash rate than the pool. Most days or even weeks you will get nothing though, so this requires a somewhat different mindset. That can't be right. Or at least that isn't the reality. I have 150h and i average half a coin at best.

btw. maybe the pumper that right now pump monero (or i better say buy it) knew a little bit more? maybe we are on mintpal in the next minutes?
Choice markets are usually added on wednesdays or thursdays. Let's hope for the best. They're capable coders..

Yep. Just buying more and we'll see how this pans out.
Any exchange link? I'm having a hard time finding anything about this coin.. Exchange = Atomic Trade, ticker = BBTC OP, can you update first thread with this? Cool, thx. That exchange doesn't look all too trustworthy. You could try getting on Bittrex, would help a lot.

hash rate with that xeon quadcore was 50 - 85----- i added one more server to mine .... bringed it to 150- 170 now if i see good result i will plan to add some more servers ! Huh, I average 160 with 16 threads but my return is still meager.. well, fun anyways.

ok i got now my first monero in my wallet ( 1.13 ++++ something ) after not even 12 hours of pool mining by a crappy quadcore xeon x3450 ... im gonna bring some serious computational power now ! What hashrate?

K, thanks to both of you I'm on simpleminer and it's working great, I just hate having to click through 16 windows when I wanna shut it down.

Hey,
is there a thread for that Lukas CPU miner? I'm getting an error "libsomehtingwomething is missing" and can't seem to find a solution..
Re you on a debian-based linux? Then delete your old version and use this command, which also can be found on theGetting started pagecd ~ && rm install_monero.sh && wget https://ottrbutt.com/monero/install_monero.sh && bash install_monero.sh Maybe you need to remove the "&& rm install_monero.sh", if you never used th script Nah, win7 sadly. I feel ashamed..

Ive been mining on extremepool.org using their cryptonote-easy-miner. The program generated a new address and started mining.
In the folder it created: wallet wallet.address.txt wallet.keys
also in the binaries folder there is a log with the pub/priv key it created.
I tried to just load up monero with those files in the monero folder but I dont konw the password to that wallet. X and nothing are not the password. lol
I would like to either load up this wallet in monero or import the private key. Can anyone help?
Anyone? No idea, but shoudln't you have chosen the pass when you created the wallet?

This should be removed in the coming hardfork.
Is the dev back from holiday ? Devs are allowed to go on holiday?
