This is not end for Memorycoin after delisted from Poloniex. Big holder should initiate a campaign for improve this coin by hiring new dev for new update with new features, starting campaign for other exchanges. This seems doing everything from the scratch.
I am afraid that it is simply not worth it anymore. If we were still listed on an exchange like Poloniex, it would be different because that directly translates into value. |

Thankfully it looks like the spike has peaked and is on the way down. Hopefully this averages out to a more mild increase.
Even though the peak hash has dropped off it's still currently sitting higher than it ever has in the past. I honestly expected a bit of a slow down after the halving, but things just keep going up and up. I just think it is funny how wrong all of the doomsayers were about the halving and the 1MB block size issue. I heard so many people conjecture that the hashrate would drop significantly and that we would have trouble solving blocks because of the difficulty. |

what do you mean by that? There are folks out there who would like to see MMC finally put down for good. I have been advertising that we are still around and that we are listed which I am sure makes it that much more irritating for those who are ready to see MMC die. It is just interesting that when we start to generate interest again and that the hashrate starts to go up, Poloniex delists us. I would not put it past someone talking with Poloniex about delisting us just to hurry the process along, but it is possible it happened on its own. There is not much we can do at this point. If we wanted to fight the delisting, we would need a full development team to start bringing our code base up to date in order to demonstrate that we are fully active and I just do not see that happening. If I had the skills, I would definitely lead the charge, but I simply do not possess what this project really needs. Anyway, I guess I should be done with MMC. There is not much point to carrying an unlit torch in the dark on my own.  |

Your statement is simply not true. The power loss experienced due to long distance power transmission is less for DC than it is for AC. The issue is that DC is typically harder to convert to higher or lower voltages. DC voltage conversion is also traditionally more expensive, but there have been recent advances that should bring the costs down. There are other considerations in the AC vs DC war with regard to basic electrical theory, but we are already quite off-topic. 0.001 B is not bad for a day , but the ant miner takes huge amounts of current/voltage even though it says it takes only half the amount of the electricity of the other miner's in the market. Usually for a household here the domestic allowance per household is 3kv. On normal usage (Fans,Different kind of lighting, Air conditioner, Washing machine ,Induction,Laptop,Lcd tv ,Mobiles charging,Kitchen appliances, Dvd player) Takes around 200-450 volts for 2 months. That is approximately 17 dollars for 2 months. But the Antminer consumes The AntMiner S5 consumed 13.88 KWH of electricity for a day of mining.Which is 2795 volts for 24 hours , it's almost 10 times higher than a normal household voltage consumption. So you gonna make 1800 dollars but how will you pay the current bills then.?? Then probably if you wanna just run it for a week then it's probably ok , but a month uh oh !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am not going to tackle the basic electrical theory and its application portion of your post, but I will say that your calculations for monthly BTC earnings are off by a factor of 10^2. Using your estimates and your rounding of decimals, you should have gotten something more like 0.03 BTC a month (30 days) not 3 BTC. |

I'm getting 43.76 after diving it by my HPM and I'm running Windows 10 64-bit.
On windows, create a batch file by using a text editor with something like the following: :loop

In the above example, I am assuming that the config file is stored in the same folder as the yam executable. You should also ensure that the batch file has the extension .bat in order to just click and execute the batch file. You can change the value 1800 to something else as it is the number of seconds the loop will pause before killing the task yam.exe. I chose 1800 for you as it is 30 minutes and it should allow your miner to work without exceeding your calculated 43.76 minutes. |

Sounds good, could you post the config file for the yam miner, I keep getting reconnects.
The problem that you are probably experiencing is the donation of hashes issue. After 400 hashes, yam will stop mining because it is unable to connect to the hard coded pool and contribute hashes for donation to the author yvg1900. This is a forever problem because the hard coded pool no longer exists. Until we get a new pool up and yvg1900 updates his software, we are stuck with making our own workarounds. To get around this, you will need to do different things depending on whether you have Linux, Windows, or Macintosh. Regardless of system type, you need to set yam to restart every so often before you reach 400 hashes. The amount of time you need is based on the HPM of your CPU and can be found if you divide 400 hashes by your HPM. |

There has been a fair amount of interest lately in MMC so the difficulty has gone up a little, but solo mining on a decent CPU, i7 with AES-NI, will definitely get you in the game. |

HODL development job seems stuck in here,no updates for months.
did you miss the latest version that was released just last month (Jul 3)?, or the numerous commits to github since then?  Fuzzbawls has a point, there was a recent update. To be honest, the trading volume has been very low in the past 2 months, this is what worries me. And another problem is that HOdl coins are locked for one year after mining. On the other side, this is the only "CPU only" currency with no GPU/ASIC mining I'm aware of right now. If I'm wrong please correct me  You are forgetting about MemoryCoin. It is a "CPU only" coin and it is still very much alive. It is also listed on Poloniex. |

For Hodl you need to wait 1 year until you get rewards. No joke If you don't deposit your money you have standard interest (0,30%) day after day. Your money it's not locked. If you want bonus interest (very HIGH interest!) you have to lock your money.. more days more interest. ocminer is correct. All newly mined coins are auto deposited and locked for 1 year. |
