301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The advantages of bitcoin on: September 07, 2017, 01:30:41 AM
There are too many to list. However, I will do some in case anyone missed one:

- decentralized (i.e. no middleman to profit off our money)
- control your own money (we are essentially our own bank)
- pseudo-anonyminity (similar to fiat cash, Bitcoin is hard to trace)

The list goes on. Hopefully this helps you.
302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Hassle of Using Bitcoin In Everyday Life on: September 07, 2017, 01:23:18 AM
Have you ever wondered why it is a hassle though? I mean almost no one accepts it in real life, so of course it is going to be a hassle until more and more places begin accepting it and before you know it we will be using it for daily purchases!
303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can one trace a stollen btc? on: September 06, 2017, 03:09:02 AM
I heard this from one of the support team of Paxful when I
got scammed.

They traced the IP and transaction. Turns out it was a big time scammer.
They froze the other accounts and awarded me the btc.

Not sure with the specifics but that's how they said it when I asked for details.

Nice.

Do you have more input about how you made this happen?

That scammer must have been really stupid. He should have withdrawn the Bitcoin a long time before instead of leaving it in his Paxful account. Cheesy
304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans with your Bitcoin? on: September 06, 2017, 03:08:05 AM
Hi guys Smiley May I know what are your plans on your Bitcoin in the future? Do you plan to keep on investing on Bitcoin related businesses or do plan to convert it into fiat and ventures on new business?

I'm planning to invest more on Bitcoin related companies and convert some of my Bitcoin into fiat and invest it on our local stock market. How about you?
As of now I hold some of my bitcoins for the future, then every time I have enough money to buy bitcoin I'll take the chance of it then hold until the right time to reach the peak value which I know I get profit, but for the meantime need to wait and hold the coins.

You should sell very soon then, because Bitcoin price is going to rebound above $5,000 and then it will crash if we get above that or maybe over $6,000 at the most and if lucky $7,000 but then crash 100%.
305  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to win Bitcoins with Signature Campaigns ??? on: September 06, 2017, 03:07:08 AM
keeping following things in mind

1 - As we know we can see everybody profile and also see what he/she has posted,
Campaign managers see our profile and based on posts, They accept or reject
Post quality Should be constructive and on the topic.

2 - Don't Bear negative trust.
3 - Don't spam or copy paste. Always tries to give your own opinions.

Every campaign has some rules and follow them.

1) Of course, you cannot simply spam and expect this to work. Signature campaigns only accept the top posters to promote their brands effectively.

2) Again, this is obvious and a great point. If you have negative trust you can bet your bottom dollar you will not be participating in most, if any signature campaign.

3) Copying and pasting is a sure way to get yourself banned very quick.
306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What If Bitcoin is banned? on: September 06, 2017, 02:19:31 AM
What If Bitcoin is banned in your country will you still use it?

If you use it how will you? How will you exchange it and how will you completely use it as you do before.

This is going to be very hard for me for sure but I am sure just the same that I will be finding a way out of it. There are exchanges that offer USD. I guess that will be a key. I will just find a local wallet that accepts USD and then from USD I will convert it to my local currency. I am afraid this is not yet possible at the moment. Anyway, I would still stick to Bitcoin even if it goes illegal in my country.

If Bitcoin goes illegal in your country everyone would still use it only under the table. By the way, what country are you from? I don't think Bitcoin would become illegal in my country for sure.
307  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used by ordinary citizens? on: September 06, 2017, 02:17:48 AM
What is an "ordinary citizen"?! Of course Bitcoin can be used by anyone... this is common sense nothing hard to understand here.
308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: And now Vietnam to legalize Bitcoin on: September 06, 2017, 02:10:23 AM
There we go! Always good news when a country decides to legalize Bitcoin. We still have a lot to go though. Just keep pushing on and more and more will legalize it. Smiley
309  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin or other coins on: September 06, 2017, 02:09:32 AM
Personally I think if Bitcoin fails, there's going to be a lot of scepticism around other coins for quite a while, unless some seriously crazy PR happens. My grandmother has heard of Bitcoin. Ask her about other altcoins, not so much...

If Bitcoin fails, we can kiss cryptocurrencies goodbye! There is simply no way they others will survive if Bitcoin dies at this stage. Maybe sometime down the road, but not this early into it's development.
310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does China have a large part in the world of cryptocurrency? on: September 06, 2017, 02:08:31 AM
China is top 1 of known of any bitcoin or altcoin activities, 2nd is Russia. No wonder they can control bitcoin price.

This is not true! Japan is the world leader in cryptocurrency at the moment, and even Bitcoin ahead of the United States, China AND Russia.
311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have we underestimated Bitcoin? on: September 05, 2017, 12:14:50 AM
Everyone including you and me underestimated it. Otherwise we would have bought a long time ago. Lots of people never thought it would go above $100. Then it went above $1,000. Then people doubted if it would go above $3,000. I personally thought it was going to crash, but sure enough it went above $3,000 and then $4,000! Now, I do not doubt Bitcoin any more. My opinion is someday it will be worth over $1,000,000. Smiley

313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Earning enough with Bitcoin without Job ? on: September 04, 2017, 11:38:31 PM
I am not earning enough without a job, I make about $60/week thanks to my signature campaign SolarDAO. You can click my signature to read about it and invest. You can buy shares in solar plants all over the globe the pre-sale is on now and you get a big discount on your purchases until December. Smiley
314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [BOUNTY] Solar DAO 🔅 Signature & Avatar Campaign 🔅 on: September 04, 2017, 07:53:23 PM
Payment should not be made in ETH, but should be increased because before it was more and other campaigns pay more.

You can quit this campaign right now. Farewell.

I love SolarDAO. Sorry for my stupid comment.

316  Economy / Economics / Re: Being a Smart Person or Strategic on: September 02, 2017, 10:23:37 PM
What does being smart means? One can be smart and he can act very strategic, but if the luck is not with him and he's not luck, he can't do anything on crypto market. You should be luck first.

And then you should be able to investigate the market opportunities without getting bored.

Why should you be lucky first? Everything in life takes skill. If someone relies on luck even if they win then it will not be as beneficial as someone who earns with hard work.
317  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin has power nowadays ? on: September 02, 2017, 10:20:23 PM
The reason why bitcoin has now power because some of the governments around the world are now legalizing it.
it's not only the reason. The other reason is, Bitcoin has so many supporters so that the demand in the market is increasing. And also the price of Bitcoin nowadays is increasing so it gain more power. the users attracted to bitcoin because they can earn from it and they can use it to buy goods in easier way.
Buy goods through Bitcoin easier than FIAT is wrong, because problem high fees of Bitcoin is reason make it cannot use for small order. If you waste your Bitcoin just want buy fast food and cafe, you will need spend amount Bitcoin for transaction fees higher than money you use for purchase!

Exactly! At this moment Bitcoin is very hard to use for everyday purchases. The fees are too high, requiring merchants to either accept 0 confirmations, or don't accept Bitcoin at all. We need a solution to this asap or popularity in Bitcoin will start to fall. Debit and credit cards can be used much easier and faster than Bitcoin.
318  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC and Banks on: September 02, 2017, 07:02:09 PM
hello,
I was wondering if major and smaller banks invested in Bitcoin or other Altcoins?
I think they did but, the question is how? and with which methods?  Huh Huh
of course any bank will never say it publicly....

You have find the answer, bank will never publish their investment in cryptocurrency but they do research about blockchain, trying to create their own version. But, I agree they did invest but not on behalf 'the bank' but only individual, not using bank's funds but from their own pockets because it's so risky to invest huge amount of money which is not belongs to you.
Bitcoin offer bigger interest over 400% within 8 months which banks can not give it to you, even bankers know about this, very tempting to invest in bitcoin.

My bank is invested in the blockchain but technically doesn't allow Bitcoin purchases. However, I just tell them I'm selling stocks if I need to make large deposits. Then they are accepting and let me do it, without knowing it is really Bitcoin that is being sold. Grin
319  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Network Fees on: September 02, 2017, 06:45:47 AM
A lot of people feel the average Bitcoin fee is far too high for the regular user. There is a certain truth to this statement, although it also depends on which service is being used. A new screenshot shows how a BitPay transaction charged a fee of 16% of the transaction amount. This goes to show something will need to change sooner or later. With the SegWit scaling solution, such fees should be less of an issue moving forward.

BitPay Transaction Still Invokes High Fees

A recent BitPay transaction illustrates this problem perfectly. The user tried to send $18 worth of Bitcoin over the network. However, he was charged an additional 16% in fees. That is a very large amount, although this may have something to do with the service itself. A 16% fee results in paying over $1 for this particular Bitcoin payment. Not the largest amount ever recorded, but it is still quite significant. Bitcoin is designed to be a cheaper solution, but that is far from the case these days.

Moreover, one has to question how these fees look to the outside world. Using cryptocurrencies for traditional payments makes no sense whatsoever right now. SegWit activation on the Bitcoin network will effectively reduce transaction fees over time. For now, it doesn’t appear to have a big impact just yet. The service providers have to adapt these changes as well. BitPay seemingly prefers to support SegWit2x rather than the traditional SegWit implementation. It is unclear if this will have any impact on fees moving forward.

Yeah well for that 16% transaction it all depends on how much he/she was sending in the first place. If you are sending a tiny amount (i.e. under $10) than yes, you are going to pay very large fees for the time being (until there is a solution).
320  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A fairer future to one at the path on: September 02, 2017, 06:44:45 AM
High volatility is not usually a great thing for investments, as it could either make you a lot of money or blow up in your face.  You have to be really careful, and NEVER put all of your assets into one basket.

There really isn't high volatility with Bitcoin right now. Think about it... the price keeps going straight up. That isn't volatility, it's profit. Cheesy
