301  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Make Money While You Sleep? Welcome To The World Of Crypto Trading Ai Bots on: July 05, 2020, 05:37:59 PM
This thread has obviously been created with the newbies in mind to win them over in the hope that they go for the hype of Ai in trading. Personally, I have no pleasure of using AI especially when trading. The info on markets can change so quickly and this can be so large that even stop losses won't cut it.

Instead, I prefer to make my own decision as to when to buy/sell, this is not something I can entrust a bot programmed and trained only on a limited amount of data to deal with - but maybe others do prefer automation.
302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you hide your identity with bitcoin? (100%) on: July 05, 2020, 04:03:51 PM
I was having an argument with a friend. He says that you can't be anonymous to the bitcoin's network. Both nodes and wallets use, leads to an ip address where information can be found.

That is not true at all since you can use a VPN to re-direct your IP address to anywhere else in the world you want. VPNs can thus be used to keep your IP address anonymous from anybody.

Quote
I had read in this forum that you can hide it with hardware? How exactly?

As long as you release your funds on decentralised exchanges where no KYC is required, technically your identity remains anonymous to the public. This can be done using a series of other tricks like the VPN mentioned above and unrelated/fake names and email.

Overall, this is not encouraged but it is one of the beauties of crypto where anybody can be anybody - just don't take it too far!
303  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ETH better than BTC for payment? on: July 04, 2020, 10:28:18 PM
Yes, the transaction of Ethereum is more faster than Bitcoin. Btc takes much time than other crypto-currencies. I wil always try to exchange with ethereum, because it is more profitable for withdraw and getting ethereum in my wallet quickly.

I agree with the convenience of ETH payments over BTC. In addition to the pros mentioned above, ETH is also less volatile in my opinion so in the future the payments that may now seem insignificant I expect to not be on a completely different scale, and in this regard I consider ETH payments much safer over BTC.
304  Economy / Securities / Re: Dividents/Stocks on: July 04, 2020, 09:32:19 PM
Dividends are given when a company doesn't know what to do with extra money, and they are used to excite people about the stock. Some dividend stocks are awesome, but just because they are giving away money doesn't mean they are good.

Example: If a bad stock offers 10% and you make $100 from it, that seems awesome, but if the stock goes down 30% then you actually lost money.

Many of the big companies don't offer dividends because they are using the money to fund new business and execute mergers.

If you don't know what to buy then I would hire an advisor or just buy mutual funds and let someone else take care of it for you. Finding a stock to invest in can be really hard because financial statements can be long to read.

I thought dividents where given out when the company was performing well, for example when they made profit they have to pay out to their stockholders because they have a % of the company?
Not because they are just giving away money that doesn't make any sense..

Makes sense that most company's will use profit to fund research and new business tho.

Nope. Companies use dividends to pay out extra money that they are not using. It pays investors for holding on the stock. Companies like Facebook are always buying more companies and so they are not paying a dividend. Microsoft, on the other hand, is paying a small dividend, which allows them to hold some money for purchasing. If a company is offering high dividends I would be careful. Not all dividend stocks are bad, just as not all stocks that are buying companies and adding on are good.

If buying low and selling high was easy everyone would be doing it. If you aren't willing to put in hundreds of hours of research I wouldn't invest a lot and only use the money you want to experiment with. I would get an advisor that spends hundreds of hours looking at the market or mutual funds that will diversify your investments.

For the reasons mentioned above this is why is important to understand whether you want to invest in stocks and shares and get dividends at the discretion of the company you invested in and based on their financial stability and profit generated, or go with bonds where although the return is less than a share this is on time and can't be evaded. At the end is a matter of how much risk you willing to take.
305  Economy / Gambling / Re: WOLF.BET - $500 Daily Race! 30% Rakeback! DICE with the best autobet mode on: July 04, 2020, 07:36:14 PM
or even exists

That's the crucial point here

It is all idle talk until there is solid evidence that someone out there has actually wagered that much and is somehow unhappy about that. The whole story is so contrived and fishy with so much agenda insolently showing through and seeping out that it is surprising we are discussing it like it were for real. Anyway, isn't rakeback that something "extra" which you are supposed to get by gambling your ass off? But seriously, wouldn't it be too much of a good thing to ask for?

Actually it all depends on the site if they will give any extra rewards on their top wagered persons and for sure they know how to count the statistics since they all have the data's and look on it if those guys are deserving to get some bonus rewards for let say their millions $ wagered. but as far as what I see I don't believe that there's someone reach for million $ wagered since I don't see it yet or missed to see them up.

And if they reached for that figures for sure they are happy since they will never reach that million wagered if they are not satisfy to the site service, games or bonuses provided unto them.
The casinos shouldn't be forced to further incentivise the top wagered people but I can see that by adopting this strategy how their popularity would go through the roof, specially with whales. In real terms, the x % added wouldn't make that much of a difference in comparison to the wagered amounts but it is the gesture that matters!
306  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade and make a profit in a Volatile market on: July 04, 2020, 05:34:51 PM
Day trading is not an effort that you can do while doing other activities.
And day trading is like to gambling. You can lose it all in a short time
Indeed its not easy as it seems and not suited for traders who cant monitor the market often due to their other job or things to attend to. If you cant spend lots of time as a day trader then this might not going to work.

I believe that the best investment is made by considering the long-term goals that we want to achieve.
When we invest, the goal is not to make a lot of money in a short time, but to protect and grow money in stages
In order to gain something when you invest, its best to have plan and think whats best strategy for long term gains. I prefer to be a holder and have a set price when to take profit, in this way I dont need to rush things and just have patience to be able to earn.
Basically it is required for us to be more patient, because trading and investment is not the way for you to get rich quickly and or get profit quickly because even day trading is also not as easy as imagined because volatile markets will still be difficult for you to get good profit every day.
Trading is a skill that does not allow you to get rich quick like most people think. The nature of this type of job is so risky that if you got in hands the wrong info you could wipe clean your wallet. Information and knowing or predicting market changes is key.
307  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Australia post office now accepts Bitcoin on: July 04, 2020, 04:06:02 PM
Wow, very good progress.
With the increasing adoption of Bitcoin and its use, the BTC itself will increasingly have value, be more reliable, and can also increase the value of BTC itself. In addition, it would be possible for other countries to adopt this kind. However, it might be more difficult if in a country that has not legalized BTC as a means of payment. As we know, BTC is not only available for the digital assets but also for payment method. This will really be meaningful and easy if the BTC is available to be a payment method in most countries again.

I agree, this is a very good and forward progress we should have seen happening a while back. In that respect, it is all to do with how the population reacts to this new kind of thing (obviously it's +ve) and it just goes to show that in order for this to happen the authorities need to push forward after taking care of the frameworks etc.
I would like to know if this is just a pilot test, and whether this is something other countries will engage in.
308  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: LF: $150 in Venmo for my BTC on: July 03, 2020, 10:45:00 PM
Is Venmo a reversible payment method like PayPal?

Like are reversals and chargebacks a thing, or how does it work?

Can any experienced Venmo -> BTC traders chime in on how to stay safe?
309  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I wish there was an option to invest in multiple coins via one purchase on: July 03, 2020, 09:55:48 PM
If you want to invest in multiple coins in one guy, then your best bet is a cryptocurrency index fund.

There'a few out there, mostly run by bitwise, and they provide exposure to a bunch of small cap, medium cap and large cap cryptocurrencies.

Alternatively, you could just hand you money over to a fund manager or invest in a hedgefund, and gain exposure to their portfolio.
310  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🌴 💰 Jumba Bet | Ther Final Destination for Rewarding Entertainment 💰 🌴 on: July 03, 2020, 06:41:26 PM
hello and welcome to the forum
any advice if you allow:
- the site is really slow
- after the famous 5 seconds, without giving error it does not load anything (serious)
- game screenshots and some videos are missing

hello and good stay Cheesy
plased to have another casino in this forum

Seems like at least for me the website is loading after the 5 seconds allocated and to my surprise the casino has a large range of games to choose from but to my disappointment all of them look like a 'scam' type casino, the graphics for me are appalling it just doesn't give that authentic feel - sorry!

Also, for some reason the 'Change to French' tab is always pinned, this should be under the language section or something...
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ethereum investment for future ?? on: July 03, 2020, 05:34:23 PM
The Ethereum project is very successful and has gained a large investor mass. In addition to being the first in its field, it has never lost its current investor, although it is not the best, it has been the most preferred and constantly developing project. Personally, I think this success will continue and the Ethereum project will be very successful in the long term. There is a fact that Ethereum is a project that has proven itself to us and has achieved great success in its field. I think that if cryptocurrencies are officially accepted as a means of payment, Ethereum will spread to a much wider user base and usage area. As an Ethereum investor, I expect great success from Ethereum in the long term.

I very much agree with the comments above. In fact, in my opinion you'd be crazy to not think that ETH is an altcoin worth investing into. The fact that it is the second biggest to BTC in terms of market cap should already be a give away.
Smart contracts have become possible because of Ethereum and more innovations with greater technological improvements are underway. It is clear that ETH is an asset we can rely on on for future success.
312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A lot of Americans still don't know what Bitcoin is on: July 03, 2020, 02:34:53 PM
I had two clients from America I want offer graphics designing jobs for, I demanded my payment would be in BitcoinBTC or Ethereum. To my greatest dismay, they were dumfounded on what Bitcoin or Ethereum is. I am still suprised up to this very moment. Cheesy Roll Eyes

Unfortunately, this is not a phenomenon only people from the US suffer from. Across the globe, there are millions of people who despite them living in a developed country don't know about BTC or cryptocurrency at all.

Ignorance for some is the norm, so there's the extra battle regarding adoption we as a community need to consider also. Simply having access to the internet isn't going to have people accept this new wave, and the matter is more complicated by people being either ignorant or not having access to the infrastructure - it's complicated!
313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin Analysis | 3 Coins That Could Make You 53’191% on: July 02, 2020, 10:12:31 PM
Imagine being so stupid that you put an apostrophe in the title instead of a comma to separate the digits.

Why on earth would we give any credibility to what you say when you don't even know the most basic of information?

More likely, these are the three coins that paid you to promote them, or maybe 2 are genuine and number 1 is a shill.

Get out of here with this crap.
314  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🦢 GooseBet.io 🦢 The Newest iGaming Dividend Casino With BTC, ETH, TRX and USDT on: July 02, 2020, 06:30:37 PM
This site looks like scam in the making.  Smiley I suggest you to be very careful.
Their telegram channel is highly censored.
Million Tron giveaway never happened, wagered amounts are inflated.

I agree this is not the type of site I'd feel comfortable making deposits on - looks fishy and from the original post there's the slight suspicion that these guys might be involved in some sort of 'mining' activity - though this is to be verified. In any case, for me at least this is not the casino I'll be hanging out in, just doesn't seem genuine, and as most of us know, first impression matters!
315  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is based on probability. on: July 02, 2020, 01:15:00 PM
Have not seen a perfect market trader that predicts right every time especially if he predicts regularly, at least monthly. So it is base on probability. Those who are inside are careful with information they dont divulge at all. The technical analysis are good but not the best tool to make decision for short term. For whatever tool adopted for decision, long term projection for good project is the best.

It is true, at least the way I see it that trading is almost the same as probability and odds. And that's because no. matter how in depth your analysis might be you can never be 100% certain you'll get your profit. What you can always do and should aim as a trader is minimise the risk of loss. Only then you can start thinking about the risk window you can allow to give yourself because prices change so quickly that sometimes even the analysis from a few minute ago can no longer apply to the market.
316  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What was your experience trading cryptocurrency? on: July 01, 2020, 03:58:27 PM
It was a painful experience though  Grin

What was your experience ?

Just as painful.  And that's because of the volatility in the market and FOMO. Like I'd buy coins to HODL but then somehow the market would start declining and I'd find myself pondering over HODLing or not.

Since then I have come to learn more but it would be untrue if I was to say that I mastered FOMO, it still creeps in sometimes but at least I'm not as reactive as I used to be - turns out that sometimes it relives me not only from a lot of mental strain but financial strains too! After so many years I'm Still learning because trading is all about continuous learning
317  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nigerian SEC warns about iBSmartify investment on: June 30, 2020, 06:47:38 PM
Glad to see the regulatory bodies of countries now stepping in to directly warn about crypto investments.

If the US Securities and Exchange Commission had done this a couple years ago thousands of people could have been saved from getting rekt investing in ICO tokens that were doomed to fail.

I'd like to see more like this coming from other countries too.
318  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Created an app to promote ₿itcoin on: June 30, 2020, 02:16:32 PM
@ Chris, this is a great initiative you've worked on - can't wait for the final product.

There this one thing I would suggest re-thinking and that's the integration of ICO's, bounty programs airdrops on bitcointalk.org as I fear that having this not only would make this more challenging for you in the future where you might have to answer all sorts of crazy questions (and even hold you responsible for their losses - as hard as one might imaging this happening you just can't discard the possibility). Having this might also detract from the main message -BTC-!

Other than that, I really like the design and the overall UI - keep up with the good work!
319  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is More Popular Than Traditional Banks on: June 29, 2020, 11:16:55 PM
Joining the hype is way different than trusting Bitcoin by itself but possibly the reason behind this is one is the anonymity that Bitcoin can deliver to its users.

I must say that as much as I like how it sounds unfortunately I do not see Bitcoin more popular than banks. As per the comment above, hype is not the same as usage, people know about cryptocurrency but majority are still afraid of the unknown and instead of taking the risk to try it out they stick to the traditional banks.

What's even worse is that people think that crypto is only for money laundering and because of that myth they disregard it entirely. There are still so many wrong concepts out there about what cryptocurrency is that acts as a real barrier to adoption- we need to address that more!
320  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can Signal Trading work for Cryptocurrencies on: June 29, 2020, 08:14:20 PM
In my own opinion, I have never believed in the signals, nor in the signal groups or Pump and Dump groups...

Trading signals exist and are used by others in trading but personally I don't find these signals accurate and is expected because the analysis required to predict the market price is complex.

As for signal groups for Pump/Dump I'm totally against because often these groups are made up of either whales or newbies and in terms of whales regular traders won't be able to follow suit. As for the newbies group, well that's just totally inaccurate info, sometimes even at the small fee to join the group.

All in all, signals can be misleading and can't just blindly trust and signal groups are also a no no.
