Mining still profitable, if you visit Mining (Altcoins) section, you could find many miners still exist even miner with the more expensive electricity bill. What make them difference with failed miners is "experience." You can't invest on Crypto if no miner exist. Who will confirm your transaction if the miners not exist? This comment totally right: Mining will help keep the system stable! The Miner gets paid for that job, and helps the altcoin grow! Any digital money system requires and requires miners! Make sure that no organization or individual controls Blockchain!

Did you mean you are using an exchange wallet since all this while to get your tokens? Despite several warnings that you shouldn't use an exchange Wallet fill any form be it airdrop or bounty. The implication is that you might lose your coin if it's not traded in coinbase. There are better wallet you can use like MEW, Metamask. You can also create a wallet on imtoken. I thought OP only wants to know which trusted (or may secure) Bitcoin wallet. But since this is OP's first post, who knows. |

I think that you need to choose between the type wallet. If you think that a hardware wallet is good, then you can choose Electrum. If you therefore need a wallet for Ethereum or ERC-20 tokens, you can use Metamask or MyEtherwallet.
Electrum isn't hardware wallet, that was Desktop wallets. Like the other said, keeping our coins on exchange or web wallet equal to saving our money in the other person. |

If what you mean with trusted, equal to secure. Hardware wallet such us Ledger Wallet, Trezor, Etc. Desktop WalletFull Node: Bitcoin Core Lightweight: Electrum, Exodus, Copay, Armory, etc Or may paper wallet.  |

Are you doing the calculation on the first and second point at the same time? Profitability calculation can be changed each time, even in the second (depends on a condition such as a diff, network hashrate, coin price, etc.)

I just read back all of OP's post above, seem like all those troubled cards were only down a bit its hashing speed. Have you tried to give dummy output on to that troubled cards? As you said: Long time lurker, finally looking to join and become a master miner. Did some searching but didn't come across any answers. I've got an issue with my settings I believe, where I can get each card to individually mine Ethereum ~31.5-32.5 MH/s, but when I connect all 8 GPUs, only the card connected via HDMI consistently mines at that rate, and the rest are 27-29 each.

Reduce memory clock on cards 3 & 5 down to 2100 and see what happens. All cards are not created equal.
Same hashes as originally stated. 32 on GPU with HDMI, 27-29 on all others. Zero memory errors. I actually dropped card 2,3,5 to 2150 - these are the 2 samsung and 1 Hynix memory cards. EDIT: Tried changing voltages of other cards and leaving card 2,3,5 at 900 and they go back to abnormal memory errors. Have you switched your cards to compute mode? Just in case you forget about that. You are using Adrenalin, right? |

Try to reset CMOS and make sure to re-setting your bios with proper setup. |

That was AMD's cards issue. Sometimes one dummy output was enough to solve that. But in other cases, all of the cards or at least cards that troubled need the dummy output (I experienced on it with my AMD cards). But may it will a bit different if you were running dual-mining. As other said, doing single mining will be better on your rigs stability. |

As above said, you can sell your whatever coins at your local exchange (if any) and withdraw your fund to your local bank account.
Bitcoin listed on most of the exchange (global/local), so when your coins aren't registered at your local exchange, you should change it to Bitcoin first at another exchange then transfer the Bitcoin to your local trade. As easy as that.

I think mining bitcoin or alternative cryptocurrency will solely depends on the environment such as weather, electricity, hashpower and some technical difficulties like settings.
That's the point, that was what makes difference between experienced and regular miners. We can't choose easily to live in which areas and condition. But with a lot of experience, we can optimize whatever condition. |
