Call me alarmist but, once the big players and Vc's read the charges against gox, realizing that the largest btc exchanger which hold all their millions, is now in jeopardy with a US govt agency,i'll let you imagine the continuing slipping of price in the coming days/hours as this bad news is fully digested..
Another poster brought this up, but we may see a large rally here. All those with fiat in gox should convert to BTC and get them to a safe wallet. This would cause a rise (maybe temporary, but still). Why do you think that? Maybe the uninformed will do this - but this is only effecting Gox's US based dwolla account. |

i've had a long time Dwolla acct and i've not received any email...
People only got it because they had an outstanding transaction it seems. Do you have one? I think they are also sending out to people who have recently withdrawn/sent money between Dwolla and Gox within the last 24 hours as well. |

Payward, Inc. is a Delaware corporation, but there doesn't appear to be any "Payward, Inc." registered in California, either domestically or as a foreign corporation (formed outside of California), as required by California Law, since you are claiming that your company's governing law is California. There is no registration of "Kraken" as a trade name in either California or Delaware. There is no contact information for this company on the Kraken web site, specifically no address or actual human beings associated with the company. It appears as though Payward been soliciting investment online in violation of US securities laws (specifically the Securities Act of 1933) since you aren't registered with the SEC. Anyone know of any good open source scripts that could be tweaked for a pledge website? I have been googling walkathon pledge software and some kickstarter clones but haven't had much luck. EDIT: here is an open source kickstarter platform http://selfstarter.us/EDIT: i just learned about www.coinfunder.com - contacted the creator to see if he would be willing to create another section on the site for this purpose. there is a feature where people can pledge. we are launching a second Campaign Type that we refer to as a Pledge. Under this campaign type, once a pledge is made, it counts immediately toward that project's funding goal amount. The only way a pledge wouldn't count is if the pledge is canceled. Once a project reaches it's funding goal based on the total of the Pledge Amounts, the project owner is given the ability to enter the Bitcoin address they would like to receive payment at. Once the project owner does this, the funders are given the ability to submit payment for their pledges. These payments go directly to the project owner, without going through CoinFunder.com controlled accounts. |

I see a lot of posts about how someone just recently emailed X company to start accepting bitcoins. I was wondering if we as a community should start organizing efforts to inform different businesses about bitcoin. I have seen websites in the past where people pledge X amount of dollars to spend on a company if they did Y. Perhaps we could make a website similar to this where people can vote on different companies to target for the week and pledge X amount of bitcoins if they did. It obviously would be sort of an honor system since I don't think people will want to blindly put their bitcoins into something that isnt a sure thing. The website could be organized similar to all those political sites where there are clear and convenient buttons to email/tweet/facebook etc said company and perhaps a pre-written script. Or to avoid a swarm of emails - perhaps a website dedicated to a walk-a-thon type pledging, where users would pledge and once funding got to a certain point an email would be dispatched to the company detailing how much support they have from BTC users. Hopefully the site could also automate integration of bitpay for them somehow... I don't know just spitballing my drunken ass off here  I think this would work best with smaller companies rather than large ones (see amazon, newegg etc). What do you guys think?

then a screen will appear with available giftcards - select the one you want and its pretty self explanatory from there.
