Though Ethereum is more profitable, 750 Ti has some problem with it because of its low amount of GDDR5 memory. You better mine other algorithms instead.

From what some people said to me, a card uses 7 Gb of bandwith per month. Also, do note that rigs might corrupt their DAG, so keeping a software to control them at distance is a good thing.

It can of course, but problem will be with drivers. It seems that older cards, as the R9 380, prefer 15.12 drivers, but RX 480 need the latest ones. However, maybe it has been corrected and there's now no problem at all by running everything at the latest drivers.

For the same price, go with the RX 480. A 970 can only achieve 20Mh/s while modded 480s can break 30Mh.
thanks for reply bro. what does mean modded? modded=overclocking? Modded means that you are changing the BIOS of the card, or that you are changing the core software if you prefer.

Frankly, I don't care on how it will perform on Ethereum but rather on other algorithms. I doubt that it will ever overthrown the queen 1070 though.

As long as you can find a block a day, you should be fine. You should run the experiment over a week or two to be sure of you're rentability. 1 GH/s seems good to me, but 500 MH/s might be enough too.

I have no idea. I was thinking about the same thing but since the diffulty drop was less big, I thought it was just a batch of miners that moved.

I don't know about rails and that kind of things but I can help you with your GPU choice. The main questions are : is it for long-term or short-term and are you going to resell the cards in some times to get your ROI back or not.
Currently, it is still somewhat vague as POS is likely to come next year for ETH. Unless I can find an altcoin to mine profitably, I may eventually sell off some of the cards to recoup on the initial investment. At the same time, I can get the cards relatively cheaper from Amazon compared to what I am getting locally or from NewEgg. If you count reselling it later, you should consider the 8 Go version that is only about 60$ more pricy but it will keep an higher value for a longer time since you will be able to resell it to gamers some day.

If that's so much, then that it isn't a problem to consider, because if you ROI in more than 1 year, there's questions about your maths to be asked.

I received it. I'm very pleased to be part of that campaign and to continue to satisfy you !

Thanks. Mine still has the fan but I'll see what else I can do. Maybe set it differently?
I am not getting a lot of lines saying accepted and ending with 0's which I take to mean an effective mining operation. I'm getting "Network diff set...." and "Stratum from pool...." almost 8 to 1. Is that a sign of the pool having an issue or is that possibly meaning my .bat file should be tweaked?
I think that's because blocks are going too fast for your ASIC. It doesn't create shares quickly enough.

try a different pool?
also, what is your hash rate showing at the pool?
I might do after the next payout. The hash rate at the pool is weird. Some of the time it shows 0 H/s but then it shows 800H/s and sometimes spikes up to 2.1KH/s .. That's because the hashrate is calculated and depends of the shares. I don't know why so many people are going to Minergate, it looks a dummy pool to me . Go on Dwarfpool, it is far more reliable. That's where I used to mine when difficulty was 30xxx... not so long ago. I'm not using Minergate, I'm using moneropool.com ? Oh ok sorry so. Try to switch to Dwarfpool and PM me when you'll have done so if problem is still not resolved.

How does gtx 1070 founders edition compare to the standard one?
Founders edition on ANY Nvidia 1xxx series card costs more, clocks lower, and has inferior cooling to pretty much ANY aftermarket design. Here FE cards are cheaper, but that's not the question. Just to tell you, my so hated KFA2 cards have Samsung memory and two huge fans, so a good card at a good price if you trust me !

Noob error... The difficulty on this website is far from being acurate. Check on Dwarfpool the "Frontier Diff". That is the actual difficulty. PS : I'm not saying this to you, but to prevent some people to think they'll mine much more than what they'll get :/... Noob error you say.. lol.. I have mined for like 5-6 years. I wrote "at this diff/price" I did not saw it, but in any case, even now I don't understand. You meant at this difficulty or at this price ?

The R7 370, is only good for (if good for something) Ethereum, and with 2Go, you won't go far away. Better take a 1060 with 3Go. I know that's not the purpose of the thread but I'd not like begginers to get fooled.

Hello everyone! I'm sorry to do intro in a subthread, but I'm very interested in subject, will be building my first rig soon. a little about me/project: it's my first post (as if you haven't notice!) Im lurking on the board since yesterday, reading and learning on mining. Since I'm a bit late for easy bit coin mining I've decided to make a GPU rig rand experiment from there.... I'm located in London, UK and here the cost for electricty is $0,19 which is quite high. The price of electricity is not a problem since: - I want to mine coins and don't sell them straight away, - I will be making a setup that works 24/7 so I will be using cards with low watt usage (after finding the right settings), - If my setup will work more or less I have easy option to move rig/s to Russia or Ukraine. I'm full stack developer (will be running on linux) so for me this is something like a hobby as well (some profit would be nice though lol). Want to be able to mine different coins and that's why after a lot of comparing of rx480 and gtx 1070 I've decided for the second one (mostly based on what Ive read in here, all the blogs I could find and some other boards). Intro's over, now the question:How does gtx 1070 founders edition compare to the standard one? I'm asking since I've found two contradicting opinions in this thread. As well I'm thinking about the Palit model since I've read it's good for overlock and read some bad comments about both msi and gigabit versions. The price in UK for Palit GTX 1070 is around £390, and the founders edition of the same is around £450. Take the 1070 over the RX 480. Some people here says that the FE runs hotter, so avoid it. Palit is cool, but I can't buy myself so I don't know. I use KFA2 and I'm satisfied of them.

For a 4-GPU no riser build like Phillip, you NEED to go with blower-style cards. Fan type won't cool well enough (except the one card of the 4 that does NOT have another card blocking it's fan, THAT card you could use a fan-type card on).
Don't go with "founder edition" cards, their overall cooling is widely reported to be fairly poor.
So in my case it would be better to go with MSI AERO or Asus Turbo ? And why can't I use cards with fans, if they are slim enough ? After all I should maybe finally stay on risers build, but since my two current ones do not have any structure, I'll need to build one since I'm out of Lego and plastic baskets ... Dont get either of those cards, https://www.amazon.co.uk/Biostar-HI-FI-H81S2-H81S2 Motherboard-Socket/dp/B00I8IJOD0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1474713432&sr=8-1&keywords=biostar+h81s2get this board 50$, dont get gigabyte g1 they have micron memory and are buggy. I would get asus strix, they are suppose to have samsung memory. I would recommend EVGA, but I dont know if they have samsung memory or not. Very very interesting motherboard you linked here. I'll probably stay on my KFA2 1070 EXOC. They're cheap and powerful. I have a 970 and a 1070 of that brand and they run very nice. I'll probably order two more 1070 before the end of October. PS : I corrected your link !
