301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Synergy create the first decentralized pump group? on: August 18, 2015, 07:13:05 AM
Decentralized pump? Who will buy it if everybody know that?

This might be what you are looking for.

New Release: Low Diff Syncronization Fix

This new version fixes a problem with syncronization when the PoS difficulty gets too low.

The source and Qt links in the OP have been updated to v1.1.1.0 (protocol version 62002), please update the latest version ASAP.

You will also notice an additional tab in the Qt that was not present in the past.

This new tab is the beginning of Grandpa's Decentralized Pump Group.  The styling/formatting will be updated and the fields will become functional in the next update. I decided to leave the tab in for today's bug fix because it would be too much trouble to take out. Please be assured that it will look much better with the next release in a few days. Complete details along with a dedicated website will be coming soon.  Please stay tuned to the thread for more information.

Below are a few common questions and answers, please add questions in the thread and we will update with a response.

How much will it cost me to join the group?
For each round, 2 SNRG.  This is simply to cover transaction costs for communication.  Yes, you read that correct, 2 SNRG (.00008634 BTC at time of posting).

Why should I join?  There are other paid groups out there.
The majority of what you are seeing in those threads are posts by shill accounts and results are fabricated.  This group will have anonymous members, only identifiable by their SNRG address.  Once the coin is chosen, the fate of the pump is completely up to the market to decide what happens.  Also, we only "charge" 2 SNRG as explained above.

How do I become eligible to participate?
Simply hold SNRG in your wallet and follow the instructions to enter for each round.  Step-by-step instructions will be provided upon opening of first round.

How many SNRG do I need to hold?
Levels within the group will be determined based on the balance of the address you register and verify each round.  The more you hold, the earlier you'll receive the tip.  Additional details for levels to be released soon.

How will coins be chosen?
The team and I will evaluate and determine the coins.  We will look for coins that are not on a high from a pump and have been "baselining" for a while. These coins will be easily pumped, low cap, but have active devs and communities. In short, they will have all the features of a breakout coin that only needs a gentle push up to explode.  If you have suggestions, please let us know via PM.

How and when will I receive notification of the chosen coin?
You will receive the encrypted notification in your Qt in the new panel when the time has come for your level.  Wallets holding more SNRG will be notified first.

How is this group "decentralized"?
The mechanism to control registration and ensure you are part of the group is decentralized.  You must have a balance to receive the notification of the coin to be pumped.  The decentralized ledger is also used for encrypted communication.

Will you tell me when to buy/sell?
No. But you will want to do both before others. Your success during the pump comes from having early knowledge which will be determined by your balance.

What can I do to help make this successful?
Spread the word about SNRG and the group!  The more people that join, the more successful everyone will be.

Dear Seller,

It wasn't me!

We're still waiting on Grandpa though. He could push the price up another 20% if he were to deliver an update on where he's at with the pump group.

To reward early investors a little more, I'm thinking about changing the current reward schedule from the top table (which it is currently) to the bottom table in the next major release.

What are the community thoughts about this proposed change?

I'm all for this. As long as you are staking, your holdings grow with the rest of the money. I've been staking a lot but I'll take more.

Gramps: bring on the pump group. I'm ready to make some money! It's been a few days, is it close yet?

it's dead. now dump it to my bail out walls before it's too late

It's been almost 24 hours since the dev posted. Time to dump and move to next.

Lol this thing is pumping now? Errrr, ok?  Good luck with that.  Whoever buys in now will just be buying to be bagholders and get dumped on evetually.  Sure it looks nicely pumped, yet it's 1.5 BTC back down to 10K LOL. Roll Eyes

Buyer beware as usual!!

Yes. This is clearly a pump or some sort of market manipulation. Your warning to buyers to be careful is highly appropriate.

What the heck? Since when does a dev side with the fudders?  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Huh Huh Huh Cheesy

It's called sarcasm.

Grandpa doesn't seem like the sarcastic type. But sarcasm doesn't really go over the right way on these forums so who knows.

I managed to knock out another to-do item tonight, writing code to automatically fill the "Entry Fee:" field using the P2P messaging system. It now is filled at the same time the dates are filled. I also wrote code to make the "Autofill" button fill in the "Statement:" entry, but after doing so, I feel like the information contained in the statement is redundant. This information will be entered into a comment in the transaction sent by the user to join the pump. This transaction sends not only the entry fee but the date of the pump in which the user is enrolling and the stealth address through which encrypted communication will be transmitted.

My progress tonight means that all information to join a pump now has a path to the GUI through user interaction or P2P communication.

My next step will be to create the transaction (described above) when the "Join Pump" button is clicked. The only challenge will be to select the correct output for sending. This output must belong to the address specified in the "Address:" field and sacrifice the least stake weight possible. Additionally, I will need to write error checking to ensure that the selected address has sufficient funds to participate (obviously the example in the screen shot would not). I will also need to hook to wallet unlocking, etc. I anticipate that writing the code to construct this transaction will take 2 to 3 days to complete.

After that, I move to the top panel, where information originates from stealth transactions.

Thanks for all these updates Grandpa. I really appreciate looking into the mind of a dev like this. It is as if you are working on a piece of art or something. Please keep it up!

And wow the sell book is thin!

Definitely watching this.

Let the ETH clone wars begin

Oh, yeah, this will be epic. Bring on the clones!

Algo???

Make it something both rentable and solo-able.

Dagger

It's not really a proven algo at this point. You criticized X11 in the liquid thread, but it has secured dozens of coins. Dagger has secured only ethereum, and it doesn't even work right as a coin yet.
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LIQUID (ETHEREUM FORK) on: August 10, 2015, 11:57:20 PM
Looks interesting, I'll add a Pool if I can get my codebase working with ETH until launch

I might just create a normal X11 with anon features first then move it all over. So pool registration will be good, eth has too many bugs at the moment for windows users to keep private keys secure. So it has to be patched first:

http://cointelegraph.com/news/115086/windows-ethereum-users-affected-by-private-key-bug

Yes i've got lots of trouble sending/crediting funds in ETH with my test-pool... tbh currently i'm stuck but in contact with the devs concerning that.

If you go X11 and "Standard-Codebase", I'll have a pool ready in a few mins, no prob.

What does X11 and "Standard-Codebase" mean? Ethereum is all new code, correct?

what's all this talk about pumping here?  Smiley is it some new feature??  Huh Smiley Smiley

Yep, it's going to be a decentralized pump group completely managed in the Qt.  Pretty cool, eh?

But how that makes it to the moon then ??  Huh  Smiley

Who cares? Just buy enough to get early info for the next pump and save your money for the coins that do get pumped.
313  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SNRG] 🔥 Synergy 🔥 Grandpa's Decentralized Pump Group | New Update | Bittrex on: August 08, 2015, 06:41:30 PM

That's going to be handy even without a pump group. I have a couple of other wallets with a zillion addresses and it's hard to see what balances I have. You can use a wallet like to keep track of many different accounts if it has the tools. For some reason they don't. I can easily see this feature as being repurposed, maybe with address labels so we can tell what's what. I know that's probably not in the plans right now, but it's a step towards turning our wallets into accounting systems.

I'm going to register for the slack right now. Live4Crypto: check your PMs.

Oh boy. Saving the world one coin at the time. You are a hero (in your own mind).  Cheesy

I'm not trying to save the world, What I am trying to do is point out that Jspike has a group and will tuck people up.

Join the slack channel. If that's what you mean. I don't know JSpike too well, but I can say that I PM'd him several times about the wallet problems and he was working on it real time and found a fix practically during our discussion. He's committed from what I can tell, which means this coin has a future.

Github is fixed!
New windows wallet will be out tomorrow!

It's fixed already? NICE!

Looking forward to when the windows wallet is ready.

And 4.77 BTC daily volume on yobit!!! This thing is going to explode when it hits bigger exchanges.

Hello mates,

We noticed a syncing problem and we are working on a fix. We should have it fixed in a day or two. But don't worry, your interest will build while we are working on a fix, so you won't lose any interest before you can stake if you are one of the few who are stuck. Cool

Thanks for being on top of this dev! I'm glad it's not just my wallet. It's a good sign when devs are in front of problems like this. I'm glad I've been buying. I'll have to get some more.

Hi JSpike,

Are you saying that you guys are manipulating the price by not releasing any information so you guys can get it cheaper.

Didn't he just give you some information?

320  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [GLOBE] GLOBAL TAKEOVER [NEW CHAIN] [NEW POW/POS] [CERIUM] on: August 05, 2015, 03:34:13 PM

People who bought it without doing research deserved to get burned. No one bought it because of roadmap they bought it because Dev was pumping it. Let it be there lesson instead of trying to protect them for something they should've stayed away from in first place.

Create new altcoin instead you'll get more people interested unless you just want to stay with old investors who're looking to get rid of their bags as soon as price pumps above 100 sat.

I'm telling you right now..you'll be shooting yourself in foot by taking over Globe. Offcourse it's upto you and this is just a suggestion.

good luck.

Lots of good coins are takeovers from scams. The fraction of new coins that are scams is far greater than the fraction of takeovers that are scams. Given the stats, it's hard to imagine why anyone would encourage a new coin.
