301  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: WalletRecoveryServices Reviews? on: October 15, 2019, 06:30:31 PM
How is that possible since I am sure he would not waste his resources trying to brute force an empty wallet. If he did, I would gladly pay him 20% of the empty wallet hehehe just kidding. But yes, maybe he would agree to a try out of breaking into a wallet which is empty just to prove that he can help.
And anyone can say they have a wallet with 500 BTC, encrypt a random wallet and give it to him. How is that different from only giving the wallet hash? And why would anyone do this?

I don’t get your point. He isn’t even sure if he will be able to get the password, so obviously there are cases where he just waste his time and electricity trying to brute-force a wallet.

The point is. I have to agree to give him 20% of something. That something is what I claim is inside my wallet. What if I claim there is $1million in it and 20% paid to him. When he opens the wallet. IF he opens the wallet, he could sue me. Because he put in effort wasting his time. Legally I would be bound to give him the money. THAT is the problem. In any case, this is a problem that a friend of a friend of mine. I just needed to know if this guy was good. I have already forwarded the information.

I will tell you all later if they agreed to hire him. They will probably speak to him directly. I have 0 involvement.
302  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: WalletRecoveryServices Reviews? on: October 15, 2019, 10:35:02 AM
Also, AFAIK there are ways of letting him try to brute force your wallet without actually handling it to him. So, he finds the password but only you have the wallet file, so he can't scam you even if he wanted to.

How is that possible since I am sure he would not waste his resources trying to brute force an empty wallet. If he did, I would gladly pay him 20% of the empty wallet hehehe just kidding. But yes, maybe he would agree to a try out of breaking into a wallet which is empty just to prove that he can help.
303  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: UNICEF Will not Convert Bitcoin Donations to Fiat Currency on: October 15, 2019, 10:16:58 AM
It is good that they want to not convert, but has anyone thought of what they would do with all the donations if not convert? They cannot and will not hand a starving kid in Africa a few satoshi to end their hunger. They must be total transparent with their plans. Without that much, I do not know how many donations they will get.
304  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GetSpendl.com on: October 15, 2019, 05:20:03 AM

The idea is cool and will allow us to buy even groceries with LN.

But I have my concerns about how you are funding those orders?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not accusing you of cheating, but I'm always suspicions when somebody is offering Crypto to no-Crypto/Fiat services.

Are you funding it with your own exchanged to fiat money or you are using external contractors?

I see a lot of 'yous' in your comment. Who are you referring to? Mr Omega star scream is not the owner of spendl, he is just looking for advice and reviews from people that have been using this extension.
@Mr Omega star scream, have you had the chance to verify if the source code of the extension is safe to install?  If you confirm then I will install as well.
305  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Nexo - "Earn 8% dividend a year with no risks" on: October 15, 2019, 04:27:39 AM
See this article below which explains it:

 https://medium.com/nexo/earn-interest-and-protect-your-stablecoins-with-nexos-1-to-1-conversion-guarantee-dbdefa8a8152

So basically, you deposit your crypto, convert it to some shitty stable coin of them, and earn 8% interest on a yearly basis. They say they use them for loans or something? aaaand they're 1:1 backed.. ?

Hmm. Seems too good to be true other than the fact that your "gains" are measured in USD/EUR ofcourse, and not BTC. For now it seems that you can't earn interest on BTC (it says "Coming Soon".)

Is anyone using them? I've heard of them in the past for getting loans, but not this compound interest scheme. Might be interesting if it's legit.

8% ? thats very low .

if you have 1 Bitcoin , you can make 8% interest per month trading on LBC .

8% is not low at all for a passive income.
There are many ways to do more, like you've said LBC is one of it. BUT trading in Localbitcoin involves activities like dealing with reversible payment methods, spending your time, etc. LBC is not a passive business at all.

NEXO was the first loan company to offer such an interest and out some Stable coins there a few months ago. For now, I'm happy with the interest and results.
Now there are others who are doing the same, like Crypto.com with similar interest rates.

Yes surely it is not low. But it is low when you think that you can grow your money a few hundred times more if you invest in the right ico at the right time. ico ieo or whatever that is they are calling them now days.
Second thing is that you must consider the depreciation of Nexo's inherent value as well. The appreciation or depreciation of the original fiat money invested into it as well.
Comparing all that, I can say it is not very attractive.
306  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: WalletRecoveryServices Reviews? on: October 14, 2019, 08:43:40 PM
There are many stories of password recovery safely done by this service[1] [2]. Dave appears to be an expert on how to brute-forcing password algorithms.
You need to give him enough information to recovery the password.
Note if you have enough knowledge and a powerful computer you can do it yourself.

Never used them but they are legit. Dave has a good reputation.

As I've stated in many of my posts, I have not used the website myself (nor associated with them), but they have plenty of good reviews as you can see on the link given above. I see no reason to mistrust them, especially that they have been operating since 2013 with no scam accusations (at least, I haven't come across anything serious). Here is the announcement thread as well[1] If you want to read some extra reviews.

Thanks, guys for the references. I only saw one post of Mr omega star scream where he suggested this. Thanks for clarifying that you have always suggested them. I just did not happen to know the history. I also don't know this Dave person. But I might speak to him for a case for a friend of a friend of mine. Or just recommend him directly.
If anyone know a cheaper service, but reliable, also let me know.

Please let me know guys. Prefer DM over replies here.
308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Desktop wallet: any risk of hardware backdoor? on: October 14, 2019, 01:39:01 PM
In a decade of Bitcoin's existence and with billions of dollars at play. No one has been hacked through hardware backdoor installed in brand new computer hardware. I think you're being over-paranoid.
309  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to save few bucks while withdrawing from exchanges on: October 14, 2019, 04:16:41 AM
I withdraw to my TRX wallet. Cheap as fuck. And since my wallet is multi wallet with built-in exchange, I simply switch it to BTC, typically I keep 50% of my earnings in btc and the rest in a stablecoin.
Hope this strategy helps.
310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: [~1 BTC Bounty] on: October 14, 2019, 03:27:09 AM
I am curious to know guys. How can pool operator dictate which blocks get mined? As far as I know they are not in control of the individual and independent miners. Would the miners get any block reward if they include this non standard segwit transaction?

The Bluewallet guys must be held responsible for this.
311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where are 0% house edge dice games at ? on: October 14, 2019, 01:21:13 AM
Wait, what is the use of house edge?
It is like additional odds favoring the gambling site?
For example, if you set your win probability in 50%, then the gambling site will cut 1% in the 50%?
That's how I understand the house edge, please help me to understand if I was wrong.

Its funny how you do not understand what a house means and yet you are here promoting a gambling site through your signature space.. very funny and interesting indeed.
312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the Faith of Casino business owners? on: October 13, 2019, 06:42:41 PM
Just days ago i saw an online casino project looking to sell itself because it does not know how to promote itself. I think that is the case with most if not all casino projects. These are coders that create a good functioning site. But scratch heads because they do not know how to promote their sites. I am in the hotel industry so I deal with real casino owners as well. They face same problem. But unlike onlike owners, they can fix most of their problem with cheap free beer. Not the case for online casinos.

So I think the fate will be same for most of these as slowly and slowly revenue stop coming and they go bust. With each new additional casino the revenue for all currently existing casino decreases. If you consider the consumer spending budget remains the same (it does not, it fluctuates). So as soon as online casino owner think of opening a casino, he is already in loss. Only the clever will make a profit and come out on top.
313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who Plays YoPony on Yobit? on: October 13, 2019, 05:35:18 PM
I guess the prize you got is very high because from 100k satoshi returned was 800,000 satoshi and that is good profit but the chance of winning o this game is very low because they have 10 pony and percentage for you to win in this kind of games is only 10 percent and the rest will be 90 percent of possible of losing thei money so this game game created by the yobit is very risky.

Yobit is famous for such games and schemes were by only a handful of people won and the rest will always lose.  YoPony is sort of a lottery game in which you have high rewards but 99% chances of lose. The interface of YoPony is appealing which may make people invest and try.
Clearly a lottery in Yobit’s style 😂 but think this is a funny game that bettors will enjoy ,and seeing the results here?i am now. In a side where wanna try my luck in YoPony since I have no luck these past times that I try to gamble either online and real life.
But this one is interesting with many good feeds from the players experiences

I haven't played it yet but I'll try now! Actually I played the dice on yobit platform and lost a couple of bucks. The pony game looked real hard as so many pony and hard to predict the outcome and hence didn't play. But now I understand that it's easier than I thought, also congrats for that huge prize Cheesy !
It’s harder but promises huge amount compared to dice mate so let’s try and enjoy both ,and since we were both newbie ,mind if you tell us also your experience soon?same as what will i

True that it is like a lottery, but I am afraid I still do not quite understand how well it works since there is no proper tutorial on it.
Maybe someone should make a tutorial video, like I asked before in this thread, and post it here. It should be done by Yobit guys because that would be a good way to promote it I guess.
314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Creating a gambling platform, follow the journey on: October 13, 2019, 05:06:16 PM
I've got a simple question.

Why?

Why do you want to create a new gambling platform when there are hundreds already. Why not speak to the current owners of a reputed platform and seek to invest there? Your time or your money. That way you know you would be investing into something that is already working instead of taking a leap of faith and busting... Huh
315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Often Do you Bet on Politics? on: October 13, 2019, 02:56:06 PM
The first time I bet on politics I lost. And Donald Trump won. The last time I bet on politics, I lost again. Borris is the new PM of the british.
So you can say that I do not often bet on politics but when i do, I lose mostly
316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who Plays YoPony on Yobit? on: October 13, 2019, 05:58:11 AM
I am tempted to try but I am not sure exactly how it works.
Do you have a detailed tutorial lesson for Yopony on youtube? If you do, can you share it?
317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to be profitable in sports betting? on: October 13, 2019, 12:56:32 AM
Back when I was active better on Tennis. I used to have a courtside partner that sat there and gave me all the information of the game before the umpire could enter it into the system. There was quite a delay in those days.
It cannot work any more because there are so much security and cameras these days. If you diligently do research, you might be able to find something. This is also not cheating or illegal.
318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: October 06, 2019, 10:32:25 AM
Adensanya is for real, lol, I thought Robert will win this one, but Israel was very quick and has the guts to go toe to toe with Robert and he caught him before the end of round one and I said that it will be over. I think the quickness, movements are the key to his win here. Congrats to those who bet on Adensanya.
The next challenger is in line for Israel Adesanya as Paulo Costa will be facing him for the title and that is yet another big fight as both are undefeated fighters and if the UFC can promote it the right way, then it will be yet another huge fight, Paulo Costa looks like a model and i really liked the way in which Israel Adesanya trolled him and called Costa as Ricky Martin wannabe Cheesy .

@ if anyone is able to inform how to watch the prelims that would be great.

That Israel Adesanya is an idiot and thinks of himself as an underdog and dreams of a underdog victory when he is actually a bluffing unmatched opponent when it comes to fighting Paulo Costa. I seriously hate this guy's guts. His confidence is like overconfidence and makes me want to pay someone to kick his ass. Which is why I will be watching this game.. and you can pretty much bet on who I will bet to win the fight.
Paulo is out of Israel's class.
319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Poker vs Live Casino Poker on: October 06, 2019, 09:33:18 AM
Playing live and playing online have it's pros and cons. It's up to your preference and your schedule. Playing live gambling takes most of your time in a day but you've got the luxury also of feeling the atmosphere of the venue and the crowd. That look in the face, don't be conceive by that as it might mislead you.

I will tell you the difference in one word.

TITTS!

I have been lucky to travel a lot for business. This gave me access to some of the best hotels in the world. Many people never got chance to even lay their eyes here. Scotch and wine so good it would make you cry.
But nothing compares to the amount of tits you see in front of your face when you are in a live casino. Man some of these girls can make you horny with just the way they look at you..

Just like in the movies? Grin

Yes. Exactly like the movies. Except its in your face. The first time I saw this my mind was blown..

I bet that kept you distracted from playing seriously.  I hope you did not lose that much Tongue

That's the idea actually. Distract the players with tits so they lose in game. But I am solid as rock.

live casinos are very much different, this is where you really feel the pressure, poker players are good in reading your reaction and faces so if you happen to face a good live poker player you are in trouble, compared to online live poker, you only need to concentrate on your games and you have no reaction to hide and watch but playing in live poker is more exciting.

Agree 100%
320  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Women And Liberals Are MORE Likely To Support Censorship, Hold Double Standards on: October 06, 2019, 01:51:05 AM
I don't agree. Reviewing a small demography and saying most of women and liberals around the world are for censorship is laughable. You should not feed the trolls here with such bullshit research.

Well you disagree, case closed! You know what is better than a study with a small sample group? Some random guy on the internet disagreeing without any contrary information of his own.

contrary information? buddy I travel the world more than probably all your parents and your family combined. I meet enough liberals, feminists, non feminists, communists, democrats, etc and many more.. I see more action than you can imagine. So I am not basing my viewpoint based on some mythology. It is from experience that I speak that liberals and women are nothing like this that they would condone censorship.
