I think that bitcoin has more advantages, but each person has his own opinion on this matter! In my opinion, bitcoin can change the world for the better, it is very strong and has great potential!

Disadvantages

Difficult to understand – Cryptocurrencies are relatively new and come with a learning curve. People end up investing without proper knowledge and lose money to something they did not learn about.
Lack of knowledge – People are not aware of how to use cryptocurrency and hence open themselves to hacker.
Not accepted widely – Not many websites and companies accept digital currencies yet.
Can lose your wallet – There is a possibility of losing your wallet. If you have stored the money in the form of digital currency on your phone or computer, you better remember your password and not lose those devices.(unless you have a private key)
No way to reverse the payment – If you mistakenly pay someone by using cryptocurrency, then there is no way to get a refund of the amount paid.
Uncertainty & Volatility – Since cryptocurrencies are so new, they are also very volatile.
Scaling – Based on the way smart contracts are designed, there is a limit to the speed and number of transactions it can process at a time which has hindered the widespread adoption of digital currencies.

There are more adavntages than disadvantages when investing in Crypto and some of those disadvantage have been solved by some of the Altcoins.

I don't think that it's only applies in bitcoin because in crypto industry there is always risk and that's the nature of this industry , in order to earn enough profits you need to risk because crypto is unstable , you'd never know what happen next but if you are wise enough and your investment grows bigger it's totally worth it.

Well, I have actually read your link posted and deduce that The Bank of Spain Head MADRID might brought out his illustration proving his authenticity for the reason why Bitcoin to him is of more risks than benefits, where he brought up the issue of XRP failure against the US Dollars and also DICE Token failure bla-bla, we should not forget that Banks are even seeing Bitcoin as a Rival tool which may render their services redundant, and would for ever be in support of any means that would not let the Bitcoin Dream see the light of the day.
To me, I counted this as one of the FUDs that must be averted for Bitcoin success. Okay, if Bitcoin is such Risky, why are investors increasing day in day out? Why are the new ICOs springing up consistently? Why is the Demand and Supply Elasticity of Bitcoin always in most scenario falling on Bitcoin positive sides? All these are because of the potentialities embedded in Bitcoin which are very much eminent for everyone to perceive/observe and tapped from.

I think if you will look on the negative side you will see that bitcoin have more risk rather than benefits. But let us think that bitcoin without risk,I think it is boring no more thrill and adrenalin  you will feel so will the lazy in doing bitcoin because everybody will invest and buy bitcoin and it's value will fall or maybe become valueless because everybody have a bitcoin. And remember that if you think the risk you will never experince the bitcoin's benefits because you are afraid to take that risk that maybe your life will change. Don't afraid just grab the opportunity to change your life.
