301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC - XBT - bitcoinfoundation.org on: May 31, 2013, 10:44:24 AM

1 million XBT = 1 BTC, is also quite OK.  Cool

Younger member in the family already started using XRP.

Then, what Bitcoin foundation is waiting for ?!?! Huh
302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC - XBT - bitcoinfoundation.org on: May 31, 2013, 04:15:30 AM
Standardization will help in the faster adopting of Bitcoin, I don't think it is a bad thing.   What do you think are in their minds?

It doesn't matter what I think.  Angry
I just wanted to know whether 'they' are really interested, and any plans to push this forward.
303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / BTC - XBT / mBTC - Choosing a better trade unit on: May 31, 2013, 02:44:29 AM
BTC - XBT / mBTC.

1 BTC = 1 million XBT = 1000 mBTC

  • XBT currency code adoption, is the next big thing for bitcoin.
  • 1 cent increase in XBT-USD exchange rate is million times higher than 1 cent increase in BTC-USD exchange rate.
  • XBT is like, 1:1000000 share split; May be we can experiment with milliBTC (1:1000) or bitcents (1:100)

Total worth of bitcoins, for 21 million coins when 1 trade unit reaches in parity with 1 USD cent, and 1 USD.

Code:
Trade Unit    = 1 USD cent    = 1 USD
----------    ------------    -------
BTC           $210,000        $21 million
bitcent       $21 million     $2.1 billion
milliBTC      $210 million    $21 billion
XBT           $210 billion    $21 trillion
satoshi       $21 trillion    $2,100 trillion

I will let you decide for a better trade unit. Smiley

Edit - 1: edited completely to explain total worth of  bitcoins, for different trade / exchange units

305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Campaign for XBT. A new ISO Currency Code is required for Bitcoin on: May 28, 2013, 06:39:22 AM
Why not use XBT for 1 millibitcoin so 1000 XBT = 1 BTC? By the time that Bitcoin gets widely traded on Forex it will be a far more reasonable unit anyway.  In any case one XBT by the above defintion is already worth more than one JPY and has been so for a while.

Good one. We need a unit to represent 1 milliBit.

When exchanges use XBT, would look entirely different, and generate lots of new interest.

Buying 10 XBT for about ~$2 is entirely different than buying 1 BTC for ~$200.

Hope this new XBT would cross US$ parity and silver parity soon..  Wink

#bitcoinfoundation, are you listening..?!?!
306  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A new platform to trade Bitcoins: BTX Trader on: May 17, 2013, 03:27:17 PM

307  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / HTML5 whitelisted "bitcoin:" on: April 24, 2013, 07:33:22 AM
With the html, now it is possible to code bitcoin address usage like, "bitcoin:1XXXX" .

for example,

  • mailto:
  • irc:
  • geo:
  • bitcoin:

after implemented, you can just choose a web-app to process "bitcoin:".
just like, you can choose gmail to process "mailto:"  Cool

Enjoy.

Bitcoin marketplace confirms with the chart so far? You can also take feedback from market and modify the chart, if required I think.

312  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: what are AMD and Intel waiting for? on: April 10, 2013, 09:38:56 AM
Would be great, if someone put / open source verilog implementation,  so that any fab. could start fabrication.

I was expecting total hash power to grow with the exchange rate, but it's lagging behind.
313  Bitcoin / Mining / what are AMD and Intel waiting for? on: April 10, 2013, 08:34:45 AM
What are these microprocessor giants like Intel, AMD or other ARM vendors waiting for?

Bitcoin valued close to $3 billions, not attractive enough for these guys to jump in, and release ASIC products?
