So I have some Monero, on an exchange. Can I store them anywhere, apart from an exchange, with downloading a wallet and the entire blockchain?
do you mean "with out downloading..." ? if so, https://mymonero.com/#/ should be what you're looking for.

Looks like i might have caused the server to crash (not sure as it could have been someone else). Once it is up ill post a bug report here, or if you contact me via PM before the site is back up i can do it via PM. I found quite a few serious issues.
hm, site looks exactly like former fastbluff ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=518840.0) iirc the original fastbluff script had a couple of issues too.

So since it took 5 days for an email to reach the developer, I am wondering if the development is outsourced or is DaDice truly 1 team that worked together before? Also since there supposed to be 500+ coins invested, I am wondering if there is already a public cold bitcoin address? Thanks.
We'll surely do so Nico. Currently 97% of the bankroll are our own funds. Once we reach a certain level of at least 10% investors funds a public address will be provided. EDIT: To answer the first part of your post, our developer is part of the team and we have previously worked together. I know him actually since 5+ years. wait wait wait... that would mean that a single investor or a group of investors would have to risk over 55 BTC with you, before you'd be willing to prove that you're solvent?

hi there, don't really wanna get involved in the discussion since I'm not tech-sawy enough for some of that stuff, but has Nico's question about the cold wallet been answered yet?
the reason I'm asking is that it has become more or less an industry standard around sites that allow other people to take part in the br to officially publish a signed cold wallet with ~80-90% of the site's investment.
not following that standard will always make people suspicious in a community where scams are part of the daily business.

site is back up, pretty sure adm will shine in on this and explain I will also talk to adm about getting some of you guys as xmr beta testers today. nice to see safedice is working nicely for me, is there any kind of special invitation needed to test XMR there, i did not see any option to play with that there. it has a separate login, since we're still testing. so yes, beta testers will be invited i also would like to join this beta tester that is nice to hear about new coin addition there and in future we will see more coins there. will let you guys know as soon as we're ready to go btw, I think xmr will be the only addition for quiet some time. every additional coin adds support work and additionally almost all altcoins are crap. xmr is different for a couple of reasons, which made it the only obvious choice to go with.

hey guys, short question: what's the recommended minimum number of confirmations a site should use before crediting deposits? I know that poloniex takes ~16(?) confirmations, but that always feels like a little bit too much. reason I'm asking: https://i.imgur.com/e3BcgAU.jpg

if your only press coverage is on ccn, I automatically assume it was bought and you're up to no good.

anyone else getting a 523 error right now or just me?
edit: spoke to admin, server is down, he's on it.

no one living in some vanilla jurisdiction and wants to start a xmr dice/casino service? btw xmr and me are celebrating first wedding day today - not the easiest marriage but you know what people tell about feisty marriages safedice will be offering the possibility to play/invest xmr "soon". can't give you any eta, since I'm not the one coding. additionally there is still the question how the cold wallet will be handled or better how to proof the reserves claimed (since there is no viewkey implementation yet). I didnt really like the workaround ccd used, so happy to hear any better ideas. I already have an idea, but it is not perfect given the jurisdiction I'm located at. Please note: I'm neither running nor owning the site. I was/am just an early investor who convinced the admin to go down the xmr route.

Thanks. On your last sentence, I'm not sure if I was clear: the base58 version is above in the code section "Integrated Address". That would be the version you'd actually use. The hex version at the bottom was for explanation only.
Thanks for the clarification, I didn't notice the distinction. That is great work. I nominate luigi1111 to get part of the bounties for designing this, the rest to go to whoever implements it (could be him of course). I agree. luigi1111 will definitely receive some XMR from me when this is implemented. However, I still pledge 100 XMR to whoever makes it happen. agree I'll send half of my bounty to luigi, if he provides me with an adress.

In the meantime, is there a reason why Payment IDs can't simply be appended to the address and parsed automatically by the client?
There is no reason. Someone just needs to define a format, implement it, pull request. Done. I'm not familiar enough with the codebase to do it myself, but if it's a simple task I'll throw 100 xmr to whoever can get it in. adding 100XMR to that bounty

Pubertäre Scherze auf Pennälerniveau und dann noch nicht mal richtig auf Englisch übersetzt... Gut, ein deutscher Betreiber erklärt zumindest letzteres... Wenn jemand das mag, OK by me.

Is anyone getting a problem when entering the site, like you need to refresh 2 times in order for the site to load and work fine?
Site offline?
------------------- Maintenance info ------------------- We will launch another update within 24 hours, the site will be under maintenance and might get down around 1 - 5 pm GMT+0. One of the upcoming feature is responsive design for mobile. Stay tuned guys!
Site was down occasionally for maintenance few minutes ago, but we're already back to action by now. Please try to refresh the page if you encounter a white/blank page. Thank you for your patience guys! there seems to be a problem with chrome after the update. the page stays white even after refreshing, deleting cookies etc. accessing the site through another browser works fine. Chrome should work just fine, can you please try again using Chrome's incognito mode? It'll make sure that you load the latest version. icognito mode works on chrome, but normal mode is still a white page only
