Hi,
Which is the best wallet for long term Bitcoin holding other than hardware wallets.

you can look for coinbase wallet for long term holdings, if you want to hold your bitcoins and can store to your mobile phone you can use mycelium, while the other says if you want to store it to your desktop you can use electrum they had a good security for your holdings.
302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is necessary for Remittance Industry?? on: May 15, 2019, 02:04:39 PM
Recently i had to send some money for my cousin who is staying in other country He was in real trouble . It was urgent money he needed . It was less than 100$ . I went all money transfer exchanges asked for sending money as he need urgently  Every where i found same answer we cant send less than 100$ . Even if we want to send  there will be huge process. Beneficiary should have that countries bank account even he is traveller . Minimum there was at least for 500$ and also it will take 2 to 3 days for transferring this money to beneficiary account.
Some were i found answer we cant send money apart from our blood relations (I mean sibblings and Parents) . For that they required proof

Thats when i realised the real potential of Bitcoin . Then after Came back to crypto space after long time . I got real trust . Then after market also started to move towards bullish run (Coincident) . Now i am feeling proud that i am in crypto community.

This is great, it will really help the money remittance on its easiest way and no need for the remittance center because the transfer can be done P2P, the only thing that the receiver will do is to convert its cryto to fiat which is very simple and easy nowadays that no one will question you with those amounts.
303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big Merchants Now Accepting Bitcoin on: May 15, 2019, 01:37:09 PM
This will really help the crypto industry to be more broad world wide, with those companies who were enter the bitcoin and crypto industry will influence the others to enter and use this technology in terms of payment, hope that there would be no negative output using it.
304  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How do you find good ICOs? on: May 15, 2019, 05:41:17 AM
You must check all possible links you can, from the main website to team's  members LinkedIn, after you sure its not s scam then you start to check if its a good project to invest or no is it real,is it whitepaper only or can be done real product that isn't all list but this will help.

Even following them they are cheating the investors and bounty hunters because i have faced many ICO cheating both the bounty people and as well as the investors. Even though the developments seem to be very interesting until the raise money but after raising they will not respond to the investors at all.

all the good in their project will be announced, all the partnerships are there ( dont really know if it is true or not) all the plans are there but after the success of the sales they will be all gone that is the modern ICO today that is why the image got broken.
305  Economy / Economics / Re: A cryptocurrency with volatility can't be used as money on: May 15, 2019, 12:19:45 AM
We can still used it as money actually more and more establishments are using crypto as mode of payment today meaning if it is not good to used as mode of payment then why it is many establishments are looking forward for this? Volatility is not the reason why they dont want to used it the only reason is they are negative towards crypto as this moment.
306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hope I can still ride the bull. on: May 14, 2019, 02:35:41 PM
You can still ride the bull as long as you can acquire bitcoin at this moment, no one knows when it will stop so it is better if you can join now or else it is either you will regret joining because the price drops which is low chance to happen or you will regret because you were too late to enter.
307  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Free NBA Prediction competition (Prize 0.013 BTC) on: May 14, 2019, 12:50:41 PM
Up natin para makita.

hyunee, you are leading in the competition, I hope that you will be active when the competition will be concluded so you will enjoy the price. You are the possible winner here, but we need to finish the NBA finals to tally the total score.

He is last active on  April 26, 2019,

Let say na siya na yung panalo, what if di sya makapag online pano ang mangyayare sa premyo nya may expiration ba ito kapag di nya nakuha within particular time?
Let's give him a deadline, I will decide after the competition, if after the deadline he still do not claim the reward, I will give the reward to the highest score, if there is a tie, they will have to split the full reward.

308  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is Climbing Up. on: May 14, 2019, 10:14:37 AM
Right now Bitcoin is climbing up so fast, In the CMC Bitcoins' price is $7,875.26. Its a great news, Do you think it will be the same as what happened on 2017 ? What are your thoughts about it ?

currently the price is still climbing up and we can assume that within this month the price can hit 10k$ mark as like what the most of us are expecting, the best thing to do to anticipate this market condition is  either buy more bitcoin or earn more bitcoin and also if people has a alts to convert to bitcoin it is still good thing to do.
309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: altcoin growth too slow? on: May 14, 2019, 04:51:11 AM
when i compare the markets with the bullish trend years ago i get a bit confused.
the growth always came along with bitcoin but when i see the altcoin today the growth is a bit (how i might say that...?) ridiculous...
will this change or will the volume still be so low? 24hr highs and lows variated beetween dollars back in the day at 100m coins but
today it grows a few 0,x1-3 at a btc pump and then everything is falling apart back at one little red day. the altcoin market feels a bit like a sick patient to me that trys to get revived by a lot of effort but every little stop its dieing again...

you cant really compare the previous bull run to the current market situation of btc and the alts, it was not programmed to be in the situation, over the years investors interest are very different, you better go for a strong coins this time if you want to had a good profit and nothing to worry about.
310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how can i trust new platforms? on: May 13, 2019, 02:40:40 PM
If you are doubtful with the platforms in the market then you better put your investments to a well ranked coins in the market or if you really want to engage on the ICO you can put some of your capital and never put a huge percentage to it.
311  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will mining be profitable again? on: May 13, 2019, 02:08:10 PM
Now that bitcoin is at 7000k plus is mining becoming profitable again? Or bitcoin still have to surge more in price before profitable mining returns?

it depends on the difficulty, once the difficulty increases the mining profit will lessen and once the difficulty decreases the profit will raise, it is depends also to the price of BTC at the moment you acquire your coins from mining.
312  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Scams are a global issue on: May 13, 2019, 01:55:13 PM
Yes, they are global issue that we cannot solve. No one can solve, we just need to learn to avoid the crypto scammer when we see them. No matter how much they try to pretend, there's always something that exposes them (though some of them cover up pretty well, but there's always that one thing that will expose them. If it's about us getting the problem solved by stopping scam in crypto, nah that can't happen, there will always be scammer, it's left for us to be careful and avoid projects that seems suspicious. Unless we want to be talking about regulation.

I think we can solve this kind of issue if the crypto industry will be regulated by the government, let us say there are certain global monetary industry that needs it accreditation for a certain ICO before it can operate, with this, the scam ICO will lessen or even it will disappear.
313  Local / Pilipinas / Re: BTC challenge on: May 13, 2019, 01:38:20 PM

314  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcointalk's best threads on bitcoin's economics? on: May 13, 2019, 11:19:11 AM
Hi all --

I just joined bitcointalk to learn from folks about the economics of bitcoin.

Thanks! Looking forward to discussing.

If you want to dig some good knowledge about the forum you can look on meta section, if you want to have a knowledge on how trading works you can look on the trading thread, if you want to know about different alts you can relay on the alternative cryptocurrencies because in that you can look in the didderent section tuckling up the different coins discussion.
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are you a bounty hunter .. ?? on: May 12, 2019, 01:30:41 PM
I think that nowadays many people have left the bounty because many ICO scams have been launched on crypto. yup, the chance to get a big profit on the bounty is certainly still there and that's why I'm still here now. if you remember in years 2017 you can more get $ 800, I once got $ 2500 in years 2017 Grin
It's true you can earn that amount on 2017 but all changed in 2018-2019. I can't get that amount like that anymore, the booming of ICO in 2018 is really make the ICOs dead.

To be honest, bounty hunter is not worth anymore. Even if you get paid, you only got some bucks, not much and not worth at all.

I also notice this, many of bounty hunters even they get their payment the value was not that good for the period that they stay on the bounty campaign, that is why the reputation of bounty campaign falls even the projects seems to deliver a good service but in the end it will end up to a bad project.
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook To Announce FB Coin In Third Quarter 2019? on: May 12, 2019, 10:09:35 AM
Since the article has no good source with this kind of news there were no assurance that the FB will really launch their coin, and if it is maybe their CEO will the one who will announce it in the public that they are interested with crpytocurrency and they are able to make their own coin and engage in crpytocurrency.
317  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC $6K, BUY OR SELL on: May 11, 2019, 02:10:19 AM
do not hesitate if you had a capital to engage in bitcoin, as long as you can have it go for it because bitcoin has a long way to go, the ATH is 20k dollar meaning as long as the ATH has not reach yet the potential is very high to hit it again, the only thing you need to do is to have a patience waiting for that moment to come again.
318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Selling tokens/low market cap coins for Bitcoin? on: May 11, 2019, 01:31:49 AM
personally i think for now alot of good altcoin are undervalued in comparaison with bitcoin there is a lot of good investment opportunities in the market right now that can be caught
But when people are trying to move into the safe area and bitcoin is the only best choice. just convert it back to the altcoin when there was a little signal from the altcoin market to get another green in the future. I believe that time will come back again later. We have seen this pattern already repeated in so many times.
Just waiting to take the best opportunity from both bitcoin and altcoins.

since there were lots of altcoins in the market, it is hard for someone to look for a coin that will really give a good profit unlike to bitcoin you can see that most of the time the price are simultaneously increasing over the months unlike when you are investing to alts the question is that what coin will give you profit although there were lots of coins in the market that moving in different ways, we cant not settle for a coin that once the green numbers arrive we will stick on it because the movement of the price for an alts are very quick to change.
319  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hardcap ICO is no guarantee that the project will succeed on: May 10, 2019, 02:48:57 PM
I had read that some ICO are faking their accumulated fund just to raise money more from the investors, they are putting wrong numbers specially they are making it a good numbers so that investors are eager to invest from it.

Hardcap is really not an indication for the success of ICO because that is just a maximum limit.
320  Economy / Economics / Re: Joseph Stiglitz: ‘We should shut down the cryptocurrencies’ on: May 10, 2019, 01:52:15 PM
He cant shutdown cryptocurrency by his own insight, it is better if he ask for back up for the cryptocurrency by the government because that is the only thing that this kind of industry is needed.
