724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the Real Risks of Crypto? on: January 21, 2019, 04:10:33 AM
The risk are scattered everywhere when people wants to invest to crypto, like the risk of scam coin, the risk of dropping the price and no chance to recover anymore and other says that the security of your coin is at risk. The word risk in crypto is too broad to elaborate but these are the basic risk that people can encounter.
725  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Pinoy Miners, Kumusta na? on: January 20, 2019, 04:42:19 PM

726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the Ethereum Fork bring about price increase? on: January 20, 2019, 04:06:00 PM
I learnt that the ethereum fork will bring about reduction in reward per block for miners from 3ETH to 2ETH thereby causing Ethereum to be scarce.

My question is will the scarcity bring about signifant increase in price?

it is not about the scarcity of eth because of fork, as you can remember if you were in the industry long period ago, bitcoin also has fork and now the price is too low, it is about the demand of the people and the help of investors.
727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are there more profitable cryptocurrencies than Bitcoin? on: January 20, 2019, 09:57:32 AM
I dont know if buying alts will give you much profit, todays market is not worth to invest in, you can look for eth if you really want to have an investment, the price is always moving it is good for trading also.
728  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: January 20, 2019, 03:09:41 AM
As much as possible yung di kailangan ng government ID. As of now disable pa din yung egivecash in coins ph eh. Amount na usually winiwithdraw ko is 50-100k depende sa incentives if na hit yung mga targets namin.

As of now i'm thinking yung LBC peso pack padala na lang.

Yan last option ko via bank account.

729  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HODL IS THE BEST OPTION FOR ME NOW on: January 19, 2019, 04:20:06 PM
the best choice besides holding is to buy more. than you only hold the coins that you have now, buying more will be better for the future of your investment.

It will be the best thing to do if there is an assurance that the market will be better soon, i think that the most stable price of bitcoin is the price today and if there is a huge changes with the price I think it will took time to happen again.

732  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Lending in the forum on: January 18, 2019, 04:23:13 PM

733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop Hodling Coins!!! on: January 18, 2019, 02:14:31 AM
since the market has not improved, I have not taken the steps you intended. I mean, trading is a high risk it's not easy to do that, I myself rather than having to trade especially not having better skills,  I switched to long-term investments even though it took a long time to make a profit. at least my funds are safe.
I like holding as a strategy since it is simple for everyone to understand and to execute but if you really want to get profits then it makes sense to become a trader and while there is no denying there are huge risks at the same time the rewards that you can get in this bear market are worth it so if you can use the time we have to improve your skills as a trader.

there is nothing wrong when people decided to make a holdings since the market is too low and when the market of btc or eth raise up those holders will celebrate. But since we dont know when the market will recover it is better to do trading, you can earn better quantity coins while the market is quiet.
734  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto reinvestment without withdrawal to fiat on: January 18, 2019, 12:47:29 AM
There are several ways to reinvest crypto to earn more crypto. Here are some examples:
Breeding: cryptokitties, fishbank, etc.
Resale: openbazaar, landhodler, etc.
Gambling: bitstars, mbit, betcoin and others.

Has anyone had experience with these sites? Are there other examples of reinvestment?

How can you define gambling as a way of investment? I think it is just a way of entertaining yourself and you will eventually lose your money because the house always wins. Maybe this will push you to lose more funds if you try to recover your initial "Investment".

Breeding is a game that I can think what is going to happen if everyone will stop playing and "investing" in it. Resale could be the only legit way. If I were to choose between these 3 I would go for the Resale option.

it is possible to invest to gambling, it is not literally investing that you need to gamble your money its means that you will put your money as investor to a gambling site, if you want to invest money then put it on gambling because it is also a good way to invest.
735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why Bounty Hunters Hate KYC !!! on: January 17, 2019, 05:29:23 PM
What i know,  KYC means Know Your Customer ! Bounty hunters are there to Support ICO Project to spread the word about the project .. BUT as soon as the Project manager mention KYC then many  Hunter run away  ! Why? Is it  because  people  don't want review their identity  for security  reason  or people  are joining campaign  with bot software ..

it is because bounty hunters protecting their identity the team can used it for some reason, they dont want to risk their identity since KYC is not an assurance that the team will pay the participants so they are running away with it.
736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safe Bounty hunters on: January 17, 2019, 02:53:05 PM
I hope Bitcointalk will start caring about its people ,there should be new moderators that can fish out bad projects on here to avoid wasting time of bounty hunters ,and about KYC ive come to think of it as many bounty hunters don't like KYC I'm sure if Bitcointalk is the one asking for KYC so as to limit frauds and multiple accounts bounty hunters won't complain, we will follow the rules ,but first 'SAFE US FROM BAD SCAMMY PROJECTS' ,no matter how wise we investigate a project they end up been scam ,scammers are getting wiser as well.looook at desico for example Shocked Can anyone tell me if he/she knew Desico is a scam from day one? I guess not

then if you want this, are you willing to do also KYC for your account here in bitcointalk?
I think it is the people's decision if they want to join bounty campaign because btt is just a forum and a medium of information and advertisement, it is not duty of moderator to scan projects and if its a scam one they wont allow it to post here.
737  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance CEO saying don't keep coins on exchanges on: January 17, 2019, 02:33:07 PM
https://cryptomenow.com/controversial-tweet-draws-fire-ceo-of-binance/

After some recent high profile hacks happening, Changpeng Zhao shares tips on keeping safe, mostly coming from a place of holding personal responsibility.  But some say this is nonsense.

I have a personal experience about holding coins on exchange, I have a coin in coinhub for almost a year of holdings and suddenly they delisted the coin that I am holding, so it is really not advisable to do it because exchange has the power on your coins.
738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to unshared bounty tokens? on: January 17, 2019, 10:32:13 AM
sometimes the unshared token will be on the team still, the other team are dividing the tokens, for example for the 10 persons who joined and only 7 who passed the kyc the allocation of the 3 person will be added for the shared token of the 7 person. it is still depends on the team decision.
739  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: January 17, 2019, 10:03:22 AM
I'm trying to withdraw btc from an exchange to my lvl1 coins.ph account. The amount of btc exceeds 2000 php if converted. What will happen? will coins.ph take my btc since it has exceeded the daily cash-in for my level?

740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time To Sell Alts For Bitcoin? on: January 16, 2019, 05:25:06 PM
Why would you do that? I mean there are tons of great altcoins that will show a great price increase once the market recovers. Just buy more altcoins, because the prices are now on the bottom and there won't be such an opportunity in the future.

If the market price raise then that is the good time to hold bitcoin, it is hard to gamble for holdings of alts because there are lots of alts in the market that when the bounty hunters dump there was no chance for the coin to recover so it is better to convert it immediately to btc or eth.
