That's right, it's easy to envisage the SP going a lot lower. Maybe too easy? In any case I'll be keeping some dry powder in store for such an outcome.
It's also right to point out we can't be certain how long the drought will last, or how AM will fare from April. I certainly don't have a crystal ball.
But it's wrong to say that I'm suggesting anyone rush out to buy shares, I'm not sure what your angle is on that.
I'm keeping my powder dry as well. The share price has dropped basically every week since July 4 so I don't think we are in danger of reaching the bottom yet. Well I won't be keeping all my powder dry. It's possible, ok, not impossible ;-) we may start to get a stream of net positive news, a little here, a little there, and the SP creeping slowly up, rather than someone fire the starting gun sometime in April.

You seem to be following closer than me. Have you seen such a big buy recently?
Me? Yeah I have been watching on and off, I haven't seen any other big trades, but they certainly could have happened. I've been watching a bit more lately because I'm wondering if the SP has bottomed? Several factors are leading me to this conclusion, one of them being the certainty of a few lean months ahead is mostly already baked in. Not that I would argue with a well-entrenched downtrend and there's far smarter people than me around here who will certainly disagree, but for me maybe it's just time to add a few more to my LT holding? That's interesting but so many people value the SP as a function of "this week's dividend", its very hard to envisage a 2-3 month lean period not leading to shares going well below what they are today. Also, we cannot be certain how long this lean period will be, nor indeed how AM will fare with their new hardware relative to the competition in April onwards. We may have bottomed, but who is going to rush to buy shares now when dividends are looking slender for the near future? There's little value in buying shares now. People will just wait and pounce in Feb / March if they think AM has got Gen3 right. That's right, it's easy to envisage the SP going a lot lower. Maybe too easy? In any case I'll be keeping some dry powder in store for such an outcome. It's also right to point out we can't be certain how long the drought will last, or how AM will fare from April. I think no one wants a bailout. However, if the situation can be solved without involving Neo's funds (which I trust Danny will do) I don't see anything wrong.
Funds or not, the amount of time that should be spent by Neo here is zero. People's time isn't free, far from it. I agree with this sentiment, as a shareholder. I want Neo & team to be working on ways to earn me profit. As far as I'm concerned, if we are not profiting from the BF/WeEx deal, Danny shouldn't waste his time with it. To me it looks like Neo shareholders are not really getting anything out of this. Maybe Danny can clear up that point, what do we get out of it (financially speaking). I don't care about the public perception of bitcoin in regards to a failed exchange, and if that's the reward, then it certainly isn't worth Neo's time and effort. At the end of the day, the best way to shore up the trustworthiness of Bitcoin is not through BF bailouts, it's through a successful Neo operation. I don't know if you read Danny's post but he did say: "Neo & Bee has no exposure to the liabilities of WeExchange. The solution will enable Neo & Bee and all of those involved in Bitcoin to benefit greatly in the future."

Danny thanks for stepping in to help. When will we find out what happened to our coins, surely you already know?

Anyone got any news on the transfer of bitfunder G.asicminer shares to direct? tia

if the market price is 0.3 ,the auction price here is more than 0.31, then what would you do ? I am sure most guys will buy it directly on markets even he didn't cancel his bid. IF I obey the rule strongly, Then I will just let the my bid here let it be , and wish I would be kicked out, it's a smart choice. but what if I am not kicked out finally, I am sure I just have no more BTCs to buy there shares even I really want to pay them to obey the rule. Also, I know reputation is really important for the bitcoiner , but I think it's not just simply about "obey the rule".
whatever, cancel my bid is the best choice both for the seller and buyer. If people stick to say " you should obey the rule, anyway" , then I say sorry for that... In this situation , I just don't know "what's the right thing to do" , also it's maybe one of the problems of 7 days period of auction....
Well, if you think a couple of bucks is more worth than your word and your reputation, then what you say makes sense. Just please make sure you don't bid in my auctions. Thanks. +1

You know it's good when the bitfury boys post on here and basically say "I hate it, nuff said."
|

I suddenly feel that 7 days period of auction is too long....
I know that feeling, but it might not be too long for people getting fiat organised and xfrd maybe via O/S to an exchange so they can bid.
