3001  Other / Off-topic / Re: Corruption and Sports on: September 10, 2021, 11:04:57 PM
The house or the sportsbook only accept bets, they might get some information on fixed games but they cannot control the game. The ones that could potentially fix a game are those who are playing the game, the players, even the coach, and the referees, as their decision making could be vital to the outcome of the game.
^ I am quite curious how they have information on the game, it is probably an insider who wants to make a profit. But that is right, there is no such way that they will get an accurate result, they make it all by there selves. Fixed games are often happening in sports because as for me, they are also fighting their dignity not only for money. If you have a very strong team, it is possible to get lost. However, anywhere as of now, there is always a corrupt.
This is how the money made people change and such greediness will likely have a negative impact. I don't think that sportsbook had to take responsibility and put it in question as they are only accepting bets. The corruption probably happens among those who are involved in that game. Those who are capable to pay and control the game will certainly have the guts to manipulate others.
"I got my share, I don't care if I lose" This is really how it looks like.
3002  Economy / Speculation / Re: How far can bitcoin price correction go? on: September 10, 2021, 10:36:01 PM
Bitcoin price went down to a level a little below $45k in the last 24-hour period. Now it is $45k but it is struggling to go over $46k. If Bitcoin price doesn't manage to break the current resistance, it migh still continue to go down even more. I'm hoping to see it stopping at $40k in the worst case. If we see a level below $40k, I'm afraid about the possibility that Bitcoin can get stuck there for a long time again and it would be a dream to see even a new ATH in this year.
That is just a short correction, I think it ain't does not go far below $40k.
Anyway, it comes to think that we are not all in bullish season, bearish could be a part of the market. We can't stop the price to decline as well not meant to hold. While some are losing their hands and sell it now, the more it helps to drop the value but I have no worries with that, this is really what happens.
if that so, I'll take this chance to buy some and wait for the recovery.
3003  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How cryptocurrency trading have helped the youth. on: September 09, 2021, 11:51:40 PM
I am one of those youths and now, I am proud to say that I am somewhat financially dependent in college because I am making money out of trading crypto and hodling some with the potential to go up in prices.
This is the result of your hard work and taking risk with crypto is not easy at all, only few are able to do this and congrats to you for being profitable in crypto world. In my country, a lot of youth people already earning much money, crypto gives them the chance to be financially free and help their own family, i have lot of friends earning in crypto and I’m so proud of them.
They gain interest this time because of the situation where they have to stay at home and have no time for leisure. This was it gives the chance to find a solution and helps the family to make living. Some got succeed while some just ended up disappointed. Thus it helps for the jobless people, it found to be a good job for now especially when you are a techy person.
It is actually a risky job which is why only a few people got into this while many were still looking for local jobs.
3004  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Setting up a gambling business on: September 09, 2021, 07:17:24 AM
Am beginning to pick interest in gambling but I don't have any computer code knowledge but will love to operate a gambling site and will like to get some advice from the members of this forum, I have the capital to run the business until it starts making profits.
Having people to help you to design and run your business is a part of the capital...
*Money
*Manpower
*Equipment

All of these things place an important role in business, you can't simply run the business alone but it needs more hands to work it perfectly or at least. So if you think you have enough money to start a business, then you should have acquired them.
3005  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DYOR or just follow famous people? on: September 08, 2021, 11:49:04 PM
Sometimes you do so many research for your investment, but you make a loss at finally. In the meanwhile, your friends just follow famous people or obey some rumors, and they make huge profits.
Have you ever had such an experience?
If you have, how about your friend ?they make a fortune or not?
I can just remember how many people are following Elon Musk investing DOGE coin and honestly, many of them got rewarded but that is a sort of market influence that this person had made, and sad to say that not all have that kind of influence level. Thus, if you can find another person like EM, it is really a good decision to follow him. But, we should be thinking about the trap, we are still careful then as not all have good results. It was still safer if we make our own research than relying on someone.
3006  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does bitcoin fall need a reason? on: September 08, 2021, 08:46:27 PM
It becomes common to see people in a panic state once hearing bad news. I'm in that situation before but had to change it already as I understand the volatility of the market. For the newbie, this was really a big deal for them, it could be the real sentiment in the market and having to see the dumping scenario.
It should have the reason but what I see for this few decline, this was just a short market correction, don't worry as the recovery will surely come next.
3007  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Shall We Hold Our Bitcoin Like Gollum? on: September 08, 2021, 08:02:41 PM

Will we sell out of Bitcoin one day?

Yes, and  I did several times.
Not all are holding anyway as that was their choice nor I should have to hold forever but something to enjoy while I could still use it to buy stuff.
Maybe you are right that if everyone will hold it makes the price of Bitcoin dump but this had never happened in real life because not all are holding. Buying and selling is the nature of this market, might these people buy now and possibly sell it by tomorrow, that can be happening depending on their decision and the reason why they are here in crypto.
3008  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Investors their mind on: September 07, 2021, 03:53:56 PM
Accept the losses and move on with your trade. It is a normal thing to am investors to experienced those two things in business know as profits and losses in the areas of investment.
When investors experienced profits in their businesses they feel so much happy through out the day.it is good to remain in profit making in your business, if it can be possible. As a professional in trading, there is a way you can minimize your losses in your business and be happy with your lost because is not much.

If you are new in this thing, it is certainly hard to accept losses but that is how the market works, we lose and win. But if we don't give up and work on the mistakes, we can see success later. But somehow fainted heart easily to give up while those who are aware of this scenario will able to stay strong and find a way to recover those losses. That is why we don't be afraid to commit mistakes as this could help us to fully understand the market and even help us to become more careful on every decision we've made.
3009  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading skills on: September 07, 2021, 03:13:14 PM
One tip I can give to you and I think is the best is mastering the basics such as knowing the trends and trendlines, supports and resistance is one of the most important things. You could also study indicators such as RSI and MACD with the knowledge of supports and resistance and adding knowledge about indicators you can already create your own strategy. Honestly, I only used this support and resistance, trendlines, MACD and Volume.
on the other hand we also have to pay attention to the psychology of trading and money management. trading psychology greatly affects our trading success, even though we have analyzed it correctly, but because our psychology has not been formed, it is possible to panic sell. On the other hand, by setting money, we can calculate the risk and rewards in making transactions, so that we can measure whether the position is feasible or not to enter the market.

Having good technical analysis skills is very helpful, so we can predict where the market will move. However, relying on technical analysis alone will
not be enough to make a successful trader, with the aim of generating large profits. Other factors are needed, such as how we control our psychology,
so that when trading it is much calmer and not easy to panic. The conclusion is that trading is quite complicated, it takes patience to be a successful
trader, because there is no instant success.
Technical analysis is very important in trading but it doesn't mean we are totally good at it. We never have to forget the volatility of the market and even though we think ourselves being good at TA but still, it never gives the assurance that our prediction is always right, might be always wrong, instead. We have to become flexible enough in order to adapt to the market changes and that I think is the only way not to get behind. But of course, it accompanied with our technical skills and our oositive mindset.
3010  Economy / Economics / Re: The reason to hodl bitcoin on: September 06, 2021, 04:08:35 PM
We all know that Bitcoin is increasingly recognized and closer to humans from time to time because all its advantages are very helpful for human life in terms of economic conditions. In addition to the higher value, because it is able to push the financial side... of course this is the main reason to hold Bitcoin and stay close to Bitcoin, it is clear that this will last a long time until the future which becomes a new era when crypto is more prominent and plays a very important role, such as the future currency.
People had to think that Bitcoin is just a nonsense creation before but they are wrong. The creator had never failed and it is clear to see that we are going to huge adoption. Little by little, we're moving towards what serves as the purpose of this creation. Now, it is to find out that the value of Bitcoin is increasing together with the numbers who are currently using this as a form of currency.
We don't just hold because of its market value but because we are seeing this become the currency in the future aside from fiat.
3011  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dont get sad over what could have been on: September 06, 2021, 03:22:45 PM
one little thing you have decided yesterday could have great effect today. so when it cause you sadness, it really made you regret.

We made the decision because we think that was the best decision without minding this could have a sad end. If I made a mistake, I'd never think I have to regret it but consider this just a mistake only. Regrets have nothing it helps us but instead, this could pushes us down and even divert our mind to start thinking negatively and losses our confidence.
Every mistake is a sort of learning and I think we don't be afraid of having this thing as this eventually helps us become better in the future.
3012  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stocks Vs Crypto, Which is Better? on: September 06, 2021, 02:49:25 PM
After the stock investment boom in mid-2020, now the investment trend is shifting to cryptocurrency (digital currency). In mid-2021, cryptocurrency seized a lot of public attention because it had spiked sharply several times.
Elon Musk's tweet on his personal Twitter, has become one of the factors that cryptocurrency is ogled by many people. However, if you don't want to lose, you can't just invest. Therefore, in-depth understanding and analysis is required before deciding to invest.
What is your opinion ?
The stocks have been in a struggle this time due to the pandemic crisis which is perfect timing for cryptocurrency to be on top. But to find the truth that many were still investing in the stock market than of crypto, I don't know why but probably it is because stocks have been in the market for so long and many people are already of this than crypto. It comes naturally but to ask which one is better, well, for me, I choose crypto because this is the place where I've been exposed to. Aside from that, it sees to be more profiting at this time while the pandemic still not done.
3013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: September 06, 2021, 12:56:44 PM
Right, and now that he has Canelo's attention, it will be very bad for Caleb for bringing this as this is provoking Canelo. Alvarez has seen a lot and for sure he was not affected by it. And worst this can be his final motivation to really put a punishment on Caleb's big mouth. I'm seeing the best version of Canelo is this fight and I will not be surprised if the fight doesn't last a distance. So Caleb better be prepared now that he uses this strategy that will backfire on him.

Caleb has an enviable record in professional boxing until now (12 KOs out of his 21 wins, with no losses). But he has never faced an opponent of the caliber of Canelo. His last three opponents were Caleb Truax, Vincent Feigenbutz and Mike Lee (all three faced him for the IBF super middleweight title). These opponents can't even be compared to Canelo. And Caleb has again made some controversial statements. It is interesting that I haven't heard much from Canelo for the last few days. Caleb has been doing all the talk.

Canelo doesn't talk that much in public, and if ever he opens his mouth, he don't trash talk, he talks more of the fight itself rather than his opponent. That's why he is quiet right now, just occasional post in his official twitter promoting the fight, that's it.

This is Caleb's biggest fight so far, and his record is on that line, because Canelo might take that 0.

Well, with the Caliber of Canelo Alvarez, it's unlikely that Caleb will win. Canelo will look to fight an undefeated fighter as that's what the opponent can only be proud of as they have not fought a high-caliber boxer in their life. I am not underestimated Caleb Plant, but he should double his hard work to last in this fight and possibly wins it.
3014  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 06, 2021, 12:24:37 PM
Ben Wallace went from undrafted to Hall of Fame
A long read but for me, it's worth it.
Quote
At 6-foot-9 and a chiseled 240 pounds, Wallace in 2002 joined Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Bill Walton and Hakeem Olajuwon as the only players to lead the NBA in rebounding and blocks in the same season (since done by Dwight Howard too). He and Dikembe Mutombo are the only four-time winners of the Defensive Player of the Year award. And Wallace was a four-time All-Star – the only undrafted guy to start an All-Star Game, in fact – as well as a five-time All-NBA selection and six-time All-Defensive pick.
One of the players that I look up to. A small center at 6'9 but jumps like there are springs in his feet. Even if you are at the three point line on act of shooting he will run from the half circle to you just to mess with your shot or at good times, block it.
I watched how the Wallace's (Rasheed and Ben not brothers) put a wall in the painted area giving every opponent a hard time to make a drive. Add-in the long reach of Tayshaun Prince which defense is at high level too. Don't forget about RIP and Chauncey.
How I miss those times when teams won with basketball basics and high level of defense.

I remember the bad boys in Detroit.
They were the team that defines the phrase "defense can win games". Those were the times when defense was appreciated equivalent to offensive highlights as well.
There nothing really special about Ben Wallace, what makes him such an spectacular players is his defensive presence, the ability to make hustle plays, and toughness inside the paint even If he's way too undersized for a center position.

Who would forget the Detroit Pistons with the bad boys, they defeated the heavy favorites LA Lakers (That's Kobe + Shaq), they were underrated but they have proven that their defense is good enough to beat the best teams in the NBA, well, they prove they are the best team after they won the championship.

Quote
Really a deserving hall of famer.
Completely agree with that.
3015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [WARNING!] For gamblers using coins.ph on: September 06, 2021, 08:57:38 AM
Guys, if you don't want troubles you should never withdraw from an exchange to a gambling site and vise versa. It can be allowed today, and tomorrow you'll encounter such a headache during the process, like I did a couple months ago, which I wouldn't wish on anyone. I mean, in the past it was easy, I've done it many times, and I did it in the beginning of this year even, but from my own experience, and from what I read on this forum - don't do it.
They allow you to do the transaction but that doesn't mean it's allowed under the law, if you are making a violation of the law, eventually they will see it and you will pay the consequences of your mistakes. Just like making a crime, we might not be caught now but that doesn't exempt us from not paying our mistakes today if we get caught in the future.
3016  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: September 06, 2021, 08:22:17 AM

Lol, I guess he is also prepared to be the next internet meme sensation if Inoue knock the hell out of Casimero, it will be huge and embarrassing for him. But that's what you get when you try to used your mouth often than your fist, karma will bite you in the ass.

So he better perform and back up that trash talking of him. But we all know that Inoue is the better and superior fighter, and it sounds that if this fight is going to happen, Inoue will take this personal and will give Casimero everything until he knocks him out.

For sure, he knows what is at stake when he did that trash talk.

He needs to fight according to his mouth, or else he will gain the fame with all those memes that will circulate after this fight.

After getting the attention of both Inoue's camp and all his fans, now is the best time to train to be more prepared so he showcase
his talents and try to win this with pride!

We all know that Casimero is a warrior too, he knows what he is doing and he is not afraid to fight the best fighter in his division, and currently based on record it was Inoue who is the best fighter, and this opportunity is his chance to prove that he can be the best by beating the best.
3017  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 06, 2021, 07:20:34 AM
I hope Terrafima won't trade any of their players. All of their players are doing great.

There's no superstar. There's no main scorer. Totally different when CJ Perez is there because he's the one doing the most score. The ball is rotating. All are stepping up. It's now become a blessing that CJ Perez now traded.  Good chemistry was now more built on their team.

Schedules are not available. I forgot they only released a 1-week schedule.

Rosser and McCarthy both performing for their better addition after the trade for CJ.
Seems that the team developed a good chemistry and all the players will contribute once given the chance to play.

For now, it's too early to say, but since this bubble is just a single round, these consecutive wins are adding to their chance to
be qualified for the next round.

They just need to keep playing the same composures and the coach needs to blend them up with a good 5 selections that
Will play together to win a game. No need of a star caliber, but a good chemistry to jive together.

I wonder who they will trade next for next season, if they take one biggest contributor to the team, they have to readjust again with their chemistry, and thus far, Tiongson was the most consistent contributor of them, I hope these big team owners will not touch DYIP until they get to the finals which is a bit ambitous but possible.

LMAO, you are already expecting a trade huh? No, there's no one to be traded man as there's no CJ Perez like in this team, consistency is very important and 3 wins are nowhere near consistency, they need to be consistent per season or per conference, and even on individual players, I'm not sure if there's a player fro this team who are in the top 3 of the top scoring ranking.
3018  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trends for altcoins in September on: September 05, 2021, 11:17:42 PM
That most of the altcoins are sustaining in pumping, well, I could believe that we could reach and end this month with such an uptrend motion but of course, we can't set aside a few corrections comes. Well, we should still be wise enough to make decision in buying now, as we are still in this current momentum is totally risky, short-term investment is the best option to take.
Well, choosing those top altcoins still I'm preferred of, but should have to analyze first.
3019  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why do you watch crypto chart pattern on: September 05, 2021, 10:34:54 PM
The basis of our analysis comes from what has been shown in the past but never think it all be the same as the volatility of the market haven't changed yet. All the things that have to come still at 50/50, we all just be guessing but with the help of the chart, we have some insights into what might happen but still, we have no assurance. Even if was that the case, this remain helpful to the traders.
3020  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 05, 2021, 09:29:13 PM
DYIP -4.5 is a good pick @1.91.

They can cover it not just because they beat two SMC recently but their opponent, Blackwater has a hellish performance on all their games this conference. I don't even think placing a bet for them +4.5 is a good pick. I don't know why bookies only gave that small line to Blackwater knowing their games are all poor.

Congrats mate, DYIP had won again and they cover that spread, they are on a 3 winning streak and they are the hottest team now, I'm sure they will continue winning and they will surprise the big teams in the PBA. Nice for them, they have a balanced attack in this win and everyone was really stepping up.

96-84 was the final score, DYIP won by 12 points.

I'm still surprised now how this team suddenly change their style and start winning. As we can see o the box score of his particular game, everyone was contributing, the scoreboard looks very balance, IIRC, no one scored more than 20 points, the highest scorer only made 10 points or a little more, but the scoring was really spread well.

Look at the scoring. https://pba.ph/recap?match=1902618

They limited Tiongson but the other players step up, that's the quality of a good team as they play as a team and use a good chemistry for one goal, which is to win. That cute stars I put are for the players who is a big contributor in that win, not an easy win but a very convincing win as though their star players struggle, everyone steps up to help him.
