Have a look at the volume on Havelock. With about 400 bitcoin per day it would allow us a lot of opportunity to move shares/divest/etc...

Also have a look at the yield on ASICMINER, it's not very good at all. of course this will go up once Gen 3 goes online but my point is this: People are desperate to get a decent return.

If that is the case then lets have a little thought experiment. If Ken gets 1% of the network, and we take 50% for reinvestment and ignore all hardware sales, a share at 0.0025 will be at 30% yield per year.

Think about that. A mining company on a high volume exchange that should at least be able to offer between 5% and 50% yield on a share price of 0.0025.

I can't see that same money flowing to the unknown exchange CryptoTrade and if Ken gets the 5,000 boards online, we want to be able to trade at that point. Fully working CC will be months AFTER we get those boards online and we'll miss that opportunity.

Bit off topic, but it could be great for us.

Arn't AM's gen 3 chips performing lower than what was expected?

The thing people need to realize is as holders of this coin you determine the value.  There is no great new supply of coins coming in so as you hold the scarcity of coins on the market rise and as that rises prices go along with it, as long as there is demand.  I believe a lot of new investors don't see this or the scared that panic sell don't realize they have a lot more control of this market as a whole than POW coins that are just getting mined and dumped for profit.

Yep. There are always going to be stages of someone cashing out. It happened at 4k sat. It happened again 9K sat. And it has once again happened. But if we keep putting our efforts (and GPUs) back into this coin, the upward buy pressure is going to win out in the long run, as it already has been.

Stay strong everyone. In fact this movement down has motivated me to do even work now on my supporting P2Pool. Wink

And Iconic, that letter was nice. Thank you for it.
Make the pool X11 and I'm all in.  Summer/spring/year round is crazy hot where I live at most of the time so I haven't been able to mine on the multipool and wont unless someone makes an X11 one  Sad

X11 pool just makes sense, all the GPU miners will be involved in that - lower temps = lower power consumption + higher hash rates.

I briefly exchanged pm's with Soepkip yesterday asking about the X11 pool and from the response I got it seems the ball is already rolling in the right direction  Wink

I have a theory on the multipool and I hope I am wrong.

If there is an organized community behind the pump I am almost certain they would have rented mining equipment to boost the multipool for added psychological effect.

Keep your eyes on the multipool to see if there are any large fluctuation in hashing rate. I saw a couple or large jumps when the pump was going that made me
very suspicious.

Maybe my imagination is just running wild, but keep watching the multipool.

I thought that yesterday, but if you look at the pool right now its pretty much the same

Anyways we are oversold

In order to beat bitcoin we would need to reach a value of 78.51 per BC at current values
In order to beat litecoin we would need to reach a value of 4.26 per BC at current values

3009  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is causing blackcoins rise? on: April 14, 2014, 07:02:58 PM
quark was not pos however.

Just think about it this rise started on a date and now its only going up, everyday with no stop OF COURSE its a pump don't matter if multipool or the top 100 that got millions already.

This starts to looks more like quark all over again.

Don't matter... it was instamined like blackcoin and then pumped. Holding blackcoin in a long term with no service is suicide

Blackcoin wasn't instamined.  I was at the launch and it was probably the most legit launch I have seen.

Quit spreading FUD unless you can back it up

I'm holding onto it as a long term investment.  It's limited supply makes it unique now.

3012  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what is causing blackcoins rise? on: April 14, 2014, 05:42:44 PM
Someone who bought 5 BTC worth at 1500 could easily dump the entire sell book in a  matter of seconds. This is too dangerous imo

Not true

There have been dumps, but the price recovers within minutes.

The order book looks good
3013  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [WTS] Blackcoin, MYR, and FAC for btc on: April 14, 2014, 05:05:44 PM
You could easily sell Blackcoin on an exchange with no issues...

3014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: April 14, 2014, 04:54:48 PM
If it hasn't been done already I have reached out to Soepkip and asked that a X11 pool be looked into.  Seems like most the coins coming out now will be switching to X11 and I for one cant run my gpu's at home much longer as things start to heat up (especially here in so cali)  The reduced heat output from x11 would be nice
3015  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: April 14, 2014, 04:35:13 PM
Mining related Question: I have 3,5 Mhash Scrypt Mining Power

I currently mine Blackcoinpool - I love BlackCoin ! I want more!

Should I keep mining on BCpool or Switch to a BTC - multipool?

Serious question (:

Cheers

I would stay on the Blackcoinpool.  It's profitability is often better than a normal multipool
3016  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the next Blackcoin (POS coin, smart mining multipool) on: April 14, 2014, 03:25:47 PM
Thread is pointless.  There will be no "next" Blackcoin...there is only 1 and BC is it.

All the bag holders of the currents coins will try and promote theirs

3017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: April 14, 2014, 03:12:03 PM
And here comes The Wall ...megamassive sell wall guarding the magic 0.001 line.

that wall is just ~21.67 BTC. That's not mega at all given the 4693.554 BTC 24 hour volume. Wink

Not to mention the value people should be looking at is the amount of BC represented in the sell walls.  If this pace keeps up, by next week a 50BTC sell will not even be a mosquito bite... a week ago it was common to see 100K BC traded at a single price...

Soon that very same trade will be 100BTC... but it will still represent only a very tiny fraction of the BC in circulation - and therefore not a reason for concern.

BlackCoinPool can eat that in 1 bite...

Without a doubt we are a top 5 coin.  We should settle around #3, but I feel once we get into litecoin territory there will be a huge run up or push to overtake it.  If bitcoin can recover we will enjoy the ride  Grin
