hey mscollec & smoke team

would be great to have an alpha version or yet a "watchonly" version of the exchange in some .onion site, asap, in order to restore confidence.

If only there are pending a few features, i think that some demostration would works well to restore the up trending

I already got the exchange script from smoke team and passed it along to someone that i trust. I have to sleep, we are both up all night.

That's actually good news, at least it's in your possession now.

Panic sells Smiley We are going down.

Ask side is pretty thin if you ask me.  Few btc and it's back over 1500

Seems like this is just 1-2 people trying to cause more panic.  Any trader with 1/2 a brain wouldn't dump like this.

Also don't forget, they are probably selling a good chunk back to themselves
2044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Don't want 10-20 new shitcoins a day - read this on: July 27, 2014, 05:06:54 AM
Most new coins hope and pray Bittrex will add them, but after whalers happened lately I doubt that will be happening now

Buying from weak hands really helped average everything out.

ok so I've been reading about POS trying to figure out why I have such a low rate of accepted mined blocks on my wallet (like 2 accepted out of 12!). My understanding till now is that when my stake finds a POS block it gets broadcasted to the network, but at almost the same time another person finds a block, so we get a fork then the longer chain gets accepted. Since I have such a low rate, I think I'm not connected to enough nodes (or not connected to important nodes) so my found block gets broadcasted much slower and I end up losing it because the larger part of the network has established another one. Does that make sense?

In that case is there a config file or a list of nodes to connect to and get a better penetration into the network?

Are you using the conf file from the op?
2049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Technical analysis of the EliteCoin heist on: July 26, 2014, 06:55:18 PM
I'm sorta glad this happened.

This will make things more strict on Bittrex.  If you lost that's just to bad, you all knew what you were getting into with all these shitcoins coming out daily.  This isn't Bittrex's fault, it's your own.

Moving forward Bittrex shouldn't even acknowledge newbie dev's.

I'm glad this happend to. Bittrex shows true colors and it will be a short term exchange that has no vision for future, happy I found it out now!

I doubt this will effect its business.

Mintpal is dead and Poloniex isn't that popular.

Bter is just alright

When you buy a shitcoin you are taking a risk

Edit
Sweet a dump!

492k out of 666k target achieved

Cashing out so you could pay your bills ?  Really?

That's just irresponsible.  If your investment tanks your asked out.
2052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: blackcoin march/april moon trip and altcoin scene going to shit? on: July 26, 2014, 06:01:52 PM
Blackcoin is shit.

I'm  still shocked it has sustained it's marketcap.  There are a ton of other coins with way more use.  The fact Vericoin is valued less than Blackcoin should be enough reason in itself.  I don't even like Vericoin, but even it's uses outweighs BC.

No reason to go to 2k.  Nothing new here.

Coin isn't dead, but it's tarnished.

most of the coins generated by my wallet are not accepted (I guess that's what's called orphan blocks?), why is that, will this get improved?

Maybe you have high latency due to bad connection that gives you disadvantage while synchronisation!?!?

On my side I have about 5% rejection ratio and I think this is quite normal. Also mostly I get 0.0X to 0.00X BTCD income from stacking  Sad Is this normal?

wow ok only 5% rejection this is a big difference to what I get. My internet connection is not too fast (12MBit/s) and I was thinking of switching to a faster one, do you really think it's the reason or could it be something else? cuz in that case I would really switch my connection, me want to have more BTCD Grin Grin

edit: I also get 0.0x BTCD with about 2000BTCD in the wallet.

I think relevant is not throughput, but latency (ping). Maybe someone else has an idea concerning the rejection ratio what could be crux of the matter...

However, with 2k BTCD and currently about  ~5% interest / year you'd ideally get about ~0.27 BTCD per day  Undecided.

thanks for the info! I guess I would get 0.27 BTCD per day if all the mined coins were accepted (I meant 0.0x for each successful mining). I tested my connection now and I get a ping time of 46ms, is that too slow? If somebody can be sure this is the reason for the low success rate then I would really get a faster connection even if it's more expensive.
(cuz BTCD worth it Grin)

edit: retested ping, it takes even 60ms sometimes..

I think your ping is quite normal. But I would let the experts (devs?) judge here, but I see nothing really abnormal concerning ping. Also Im new to the PoS used here, so I cannot really help.

BTW I got us to the listing here (theres not much I can do, but I try what I can  Grin): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=568166.0

BTW2: Why the hell is everybody selling? I am HODLing Kiss

This market is way to easy to manipulate.  I wanted to buy more this morning and I didn't like the price at 150k, I placed a sell order at 160k and moved it down a bit, my orders at 140k were filled within an hour  Wink
