3001  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did I just lose my wallet? on: January 06, 2021, 05:45:54 AM
To some extent you could be screwed unless you get the right password to the wallet.
Another question is, did you write down the seed phrase somewhere? That kind of wallet back up could be a big savior to you right now.
OP is screwed to be honest, OP did an update that there is no back up so OP is doomed. The only thing that OP can do is try to access the password manager that OP is using, that might have some residual information because AFAIK, password manager can be accessed cross devices and even when the device got rebooted.

This is why I hate password managers, you do not exactly know what your password is, plus the password generator that some offer is very anti user because in the case that you need an access without the manager, you can't because you did not create the password yourself.
3002  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we in another Bubble? when will it Burst on: January 06, 2021, 05:10:35 AM
The price will drop but its not a bubble, if you done your own research where in the second phase of a big bullrun. Yeah sure a short term pullback will happen but Bitcoin's price will never go back to $10k. If you're a weak hand goodluck with that but shorting instead of accumulating and buying dips is a good move in long term perspective.
Exactly, bubble by definition is quick increase in value which followed by a crash that is impossible to bounce back. Remember the South Sea and Tulip Bubble they never bounced back. I think that a pullback will be healthy for the market because that means that supply is sort of replenished.

My personal take on the title is no we are not in a bubble, if we are in the first place then the prices right now is impossible and bitcoin will just be another failure, the burst will not happen because there is no bubble after all.
3003  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's share some of our Bitcoin Pizza moments for the new ATH on: January 06, 2021, 04:28:18 AM
This shows how bitcoin has become so valuable over the years that at that time you had to spend a lot to buy sweets, but today due to this increase in prices we can see that with the same amount of bitcoin we can buy more valuable things. .

And all this shows the increase in its popularity and breadth.
Not just how valuable bitcoin is over time, popularity, and breadth, this thread is depressing to be honest because you will reminisce on the bad decisions that you have done. Mine is a little different, I have known of bitcoin since I was in 8th grade and I was only fascinated by the enigma of satoshi, I could have accumulated a lot of bitcoin if my interest were in the right direction.
3004  Economy / Service Discussion / A giveaway website that pays streamers and audience on: January 06, 2021, 03:46:30 AM
Has anyone here have heard of incent.com, it is mainly used by streamers to interact with their audience via giving away codes that will give you cryptocurrency, which as the title says also gives a cryptocurrency to the streamer as well. I was watching a Dead by Daylight Streamer named Paulie Esther and there is a time interval for a new code that can be used to redeem. I haven't personally used or participated in one because there is only a limited number of users that can use the code. You can check the website if you feel like it.

3005  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Really bad beginner mistake with bitcoin. Plz HELP on: January 05, 2021, 09:34:53 AM
there is no guarantee they'll ever allow crypto withdrawals. it's been almost 3 years already---i wouldn't count on it.

if you want your keys, you need to liquidate your positions on robinhood, withdraw the fiat to your bank account, then use it to buy real bitcoins on an exchange (kraken, coinbase, etc) or p2p marketplace (localbitcoins, localcryptos). then withdraw the coins to a wallet you control.
I did not even know that Robinhood has Bitcoin available on their services, AFAIK they are a good app for stock exchanges. OP should follow what the quote above says because only one attack is what it takes to lose all your coins in that account.
3006  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Crypto profit to bank account without taxes on: January 05, 2021, 08:44:23 AM
It should be fine. I wouldn't worry about it. After you pay tax on your money you can do whatever you want with it and since you pay no tax the tax has already "been paid" and therefore you are free to do as you wish with it.

Yes it is legal no one needs to know where the money comes from that is your bussiness. Also are you 100% sure about this?
Have to agree, you did not break any laws when you were transferring the money to her account. The only problem is whether your girlfriend is trustworthy enough to get things done without throwing you under the bus, remember that couple screwing each other over X amount of money is a thing. I feel bad for you people that needs to pay for taxes in your country to use your bitcoin. On a side note, your government will not bother you that much if you do that thing you are planning unless you are some hotshot in your country or the amount is too big not to be noticed.
3007  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have my 600$ stimulus check, good time to buy btc? I plan to hold for the short on: January 05, 2021, 08:05:57 AM
One thing you should note is your funds which were given for your bad times will be locked out into the storm of bitcoin's up and down market. You better think many times before you can invest your money into it. I think if you lock these funds then you should set your target prices and to be firm when to withdraw your money. Moreover you it would be very risky bet in your downtime (idk your actual status) but consider it the same way. BTC is surely hitting another level of market cap currently so there is high chance it will go up only. Since few days it has resisted a lot and is the time investors will take it further the current rate. So you have pretty good chance that it will move in the further direction only.
I think that OP knows fully that it can happen but if it is otherwise then OP might be doomed to sell it at a loss, hopefully OP still has the money to purchase daily needs that the stimulus should've provided. I would advise OP to invest on the long term because prices are currently climbing and a short time is not that prosperous as back when the prices were around 10k.
3008  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Tesla Fight! on: January 05, 2021, 07:24:02 AM
The question who will reach the moon first is pretty vague to be honest, do we know what point is considered the moon? The question should be, what should the moon look like or what is the price that is considered the moon. Bitcoin and Tesla are only similar in their market, Tesla stocks increases because the demand is higher than the supply, which is the same as BTCitcoin where the lesser the supply the higher the prices.

I'm not a big fan of electric cars. The production of Li-ion batteries can damage the environment,so advertising those electric cars as "eco friendly" and "green" is very misleading.
Isn't it fallacious to say that electric cars are bad for the environment when in reality it is only the li-ion batteries that are the one that contributes to environmental pollution. Then how come Tesla are slowly moving towards producing a better alternative. They also admitted that li-ion is impractical so what is your point?
3009  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a high roller? on: January 05, 2021, 06:40:22 AM
I'm not sure what could be the bankroll or how much is your bet to be called as a high roller, for me my bank roll is around $500-$800 per deposit and my bet is around $50-150 per match (Sports betting) some people may think this is average but some people think this is high we have different perspective.
My average when I was still gambling back in 2015 is around 1k to 2k, that amount is a lot in my country, I could rake in around twice or thrice in a lucky day but a breakeven is what I strive when it is a bad one. You could say that I am sort of a high roller in my country because that kind of money in here is hard to come by. I do agree, perspective changes if you are a high roller or not.
3010  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Asking About Riobet Casino on: January 05, 2021, 05:59:12 AM
Haven't really checked the site out because of speculations that it isba Roobet ripoff planning to dip once it gets enough traction and money, but to my surprise it actually is getting a lot of attention and is pretty much legit. Plus the free spins which hardly come by nowadays definitely pushes the people to bet on their site.
There isn't anything wrong with the site being a ripoff, most sites are just a rip off of the original anyway, they wouldn't admit because they did some change that made them distinguishable from others, you can say that it is a copy of a copy of an original. I have to agree though, that free spins can really attract customers and I hope that they try their shot at promoting their site here because as the others have said, it is an old site.

Unsubscribing on this forum is required!
[/center]
What do you mean by unsubscribing to this forum? It looks like a negative for me to unsubscribe to this forum.
It is good if you still give an update on your project because that can help people know more details about what you did for your project and the project's progress. But I see you are not yet translated your main language into English because I think that is an important thing that you and your team should do to attract more people. I am a bit confused about what your homepage is because I can't found it here. Besides that, if you have a website, it will help you introduce the project to more people. At least that can help people get more information about the project, and I think they will be interested in your project.
Have to agree, they really are a dedicated team to still update this thread of their work. Maybe the reason that they are not yet attracting more people is because they are still a small group and I think the members of this forum is enough audience for them so far. I have to second your statement that they should create a website because impressions are important, they can hire someone from the forum if they want to.
3012  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting History - 2020 on: January 05, 2021, 04:37:56 AM

You don't have to be envy because you can make your own, lol.. Op has a good stats but he still lose his money in the end.
It's just like winning 10 times in a row and you go all in in the 11th bet and then you lose, all your effort is gone and you'll still regret in the end.

The recipe is always the right bankroll management.
I did have that kind of stats back then, although the losing money part did not happen to me. I was envious because OP can still play but me, I am an old dog when it comes to online gambling. Poker is the only game that I am playing now, although with my friends. Did not have that bankroll management back then, I was a high roller after all, really like it when I talk about glory days but priorities change as I have said.
3013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling advertising monitored closely on: January 05, 2021, 04:03:46 AM
I am amazed at how the UK's Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) is actually doing its job. Although this is just an ad which is posted on a Facebook page that can only be viewed by adults, ASA is still ordering to bring it down considering that Facebook cannot truly determine whether a user is a minor or not. How I wish my country has this kind of functioning agency.
UK's ASA is real good at what they are doing, they even have a prohibition of not using hypnotism in live television. The problem here should be solely blamed to Facebook, it is their algorithms that are doing the inappropriate advertisement, maybe in the near future and they perfected the algorithm on who should get the advertisement, the problem will be band aided.

Anyway, the gambling industry does not have much reputation to protect. More often, gambling is closely attached to booze, squandering money and time, women, sex, and so on, although this is more on land-based resort and casino gambling than online gambling. But, just the same, gambling does not have a saintly image. In the first place, if gambling is something useful instead of harmful, there is no reason to encourage people to moderate it, children to stay away from it, institutions to closely monitor it, and so forth.
Basically, gambling is a vice so it is understandable that we as responsible adults try to sway the children away from this kind of content. I would disagree on the notion that gambling industry as a whole does not have a reputation to protect. In my country, there is a state owned lottery that uses the proceeds to fund charities.

To OP, I do not think that we could stop some minor from gambling, their behavior is a product of their environment, so if they are constantly exposed to gambling then the chances that they will participate in one will be higher, the best way to combat these is to teach your child the dangers of gambling as a minor and find a place to live that is not exposed to these activities even a little.
3014  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Ryan Garcia vs Luke Campbell WBC Lightweight Interim Title (January 2) on: January 04, 2021, 08:53:14 AM
Let's hear if WBC will order Haney now to face Garcia. Although it is complicated as there are 2 mandatories, Fortuna and now Garcia.
The world is now Garcia's oyster, there are a lot of potential fights like Haney as mentioned, Teofimo Lopez and Gervonta Davis. Garcia said on an interview that he wants to have a bout with Devin but who knows. maybe Devin will accept or Davis will be the one to fight, they are both WBC Titlist anyway.

Given that he has the advantage with this fight considering his opponent is an underdog fighter, he will likely win the fight and he did. Now for his next opponent, I think he needs to relax and wait for some time to fight again no matter who will be the opponent in his weight class. As you can see, even though we already reached 2021 the pandemic still there and we will not see him fight with lots of audiences in the ring. If he delays his fight a little more, maybe we can see him and the other fights in the ring with lots of audiences cheering for them. that would not be boring to watch though.
Both fighters are good, I do not think that Garcia has the advantage besides his stamina, Campbell is an Olympic Gold Medalist, not gonna lie though, the body shots were something. Recuperation will be an easy task for these boxing fellows. Of course there will still be a pandemic even after 2020, what did you expect that Coronavirus will be gone by 2021? Time is just a construct.
3015  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 04, 2021, 08:07:23 AM
Posting the news about the update of Junemar Fajardo.

June Mar Fajardo gets go-signal to play for SMB in next PBA season

Good news for SMB because Romeo will also be available next season, they are now a healthy team and they'll be back to being the number 1 team in the PBA. Their closest rival IMO is just the Ginebra San Miguel, next is the TNT but nowhere close to them as this TNT can easily be dominated in the Finals based on their past performance.
The odds for bets against SMB will be low again, June Mar is a monster player combined with Terrence, I think that they can dominate the next season. Feels bad that this season was full of injuries for their player, hopefully they can get back up.
3016  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting History - 2020 on: January 04, 2021, 07:12:49 AM
Pretty impressive stats, you know what, you can be profitable if you just know how to manage your bankroll, that's the secret to winning but I believe you need to focus on games that you believe you can use your skills, not games like dice where you only rely on luck to win.

About my stats, not too good to brag so I just keep it a secret. Good luck with you, don't stop gambling, just learn to win.
Have to agree, it is a good stats. If you want to have fun by having suspense, you might as well go for those that are probability/luck based games but if you want to make some serious profit then go for the skill oriented one like poker (skills to bluff), blackjack offline (card count). I was envious of OP's stats to be honest, had that kind back in '15 but since I changed my priorities, gambling for profit is just an after thought.

To OP, my tip for your resolution is to not broadcast or say it to everyone, psychologically you are not inclined to do that, you can write it in a piece of paper that only you can see. Doing it and going to do it is a different thing.
3017  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any insurance service for gamblers to retain heavy losses....??? on: January 04, 2021, 06:30:47 AM
~
But sadly as we have thought always this might seem in the last list of the insurance company to consider. But we do hope that someday this might gonna happen and insurance company can consider this possibility because there is so much gambler now.
I do not think that insurance companies will dip their toes in this disaster type of incident. If you lost at gambling, you should feel the full impact of your addiction, having an guarantee that you will get some money back is a dangerous route to tread, this will enable addicted gamblers to go on and on. Also in a business perspective, it is not profitable to insure gamblers that are incurring heavy losses, you are like borrowing money from them and not getting a single benefit out of it.
3018  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: January 04, 2021, 05:27:21 AM
You can actually put gambling into profession, but not all games of course, my friend, who is a professional gambler is actually making heck of a profit out of this, gambling is definitely not all about luck, games like poker and backgammon, they all require skill and I can definitely be the witness of all success when it comes to gambling professionally.
But it is not for everyone, if that was the case, everyone will be a gambler. Some games do need skill while others need just probability or luck, I have to agree with you about gambling not being luck based in general, but there are some instances where it is out of control of your skill set and miracles do happen sometimes in unexpected ways.
3019  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - February 20 on: January 04, 2021, 04:47:13 AM
Only $10M for Floyd in this fight?

That's pennies for him, it would be interesting to learn where you got the information about his fee. For someone who earns $280M against Mcgregor, he isn't that desperate to take offers that low. The PPV alone will get him more than $10M, you;d have to wonder how low will Logan get if its just $10M for Floyd.
That is still a lot of money, considering that he is retired and still wants to have a go with this dude. Maybe there is an under the table deal with this match or maybe Floyd just wants to be relevant at this day considering a lot of new young guns are popping out of nowhere.
3020  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hamster powered races on: January 04, 2021, 04:10:11 AM
I heard about this one from a guy who actually wanted to see how his idea will work and posted here , I literally never knew it would become big. The hamster is happy and I do think this would not only make her more engaged with her owners but people from all over the world can count on her. The only thing I am sad about is that they are using ETH and not BTC but then again it's easier with the transfer fee and such.

Plus the hamster has been taken care of and I did looked though their site , it's not like mia is running on the wheel for a long long time. She does get rest ! Apparently the next bet is like 11hr away so it's a good thing that they are giving her a considerable amount of rest and taking care of her health.

Now see this is way better than gambling of cock fighting , on horse races ! This is indeed not harming anyone.
AFAIK about hamsters, they do not get tired in hamster balls, they actually love the fact that they can move around. PETA might be on the ass of this one person though, you know how PETA does not like animals to be 'exploited' by humans when they are doing euthanasia on sheltered animals. Cockfighting is a famous game in my country, there are dedicated stadiums just for that and local officials even bet. Does anyone have the OP(Original Post)? I have seen the idea but in these forum it did not get that much traction.
