3021  Economy / Economics / Re: Fuel prices hitting an eight year high on: November 01, 2021, 05:37:17 PM
Several reasons can be added for the fuel price increase.

  • Very basic is the shortage of gas around the world.
  • In several parts of gas reserves were under maintenance as a result of continued lockdown. This has caused decrease in the outcome for supply
  • The consumption have increased and gas for energy generation is used much as the energy generation through wind isn't that effective in this season
  • The lack of supply caused demand. This wholesale price increase have reflected on the overall price of the gas for consumers
  • Today it was Congo that has got added to the list of Gas Shortage country
  • Making use of other forms of energy is the only way through which the price can come into control.

Small Suggestion : Along with bitcoin adding some low transaction fee coins like tron will benefit the buyers. When the buying is possible through Bitcoin, to buy Bitcoin there'll be small commission. If the same is done in terms of tron, then the buyer gets profit while making further transaction. If it is done through bitcoin, buyer will be charged with atleast twice the transaction costs of buying with tron.

A useful suggestion, but at the moment I'm looking at increasing my Bitcoin holdings. I do plan on exploring some of the newer coins, andI make save some of those. The most useful would ve ones where customers could earn coins through content production or services, and use their earned coins to buy items. I hoped to do this with Steem, but I ended up thinking of that as a ponzi, maybe I should revisit the site if it is still popular.
Myself suggested tron, because going through its growth chart it hasn't shown big signs of growth for a long time. Most of the coins that are with similar marketcap have bounced high during the previous and the ongoing bull market. Maybe the accumulation of tron could get good return at the earliest. This is just an assumptional prediction comparing the growth of tron with other similar coins.
3023  Economy / Economics / Re: Why criminals prefer cash (Fiat) on top of crypto? on: November 01, 2021, 04:39:19 PM
Criminals and drug traffickers prefer fiat, because they find it an easy accessible than crypto. When transaction were made through cryptocurrency, the process is simple and there is chance of backtracking if small mistakes were made. People have a belief, cryptocurrency is much used for criminal activities, terrorism and darkweb needs. I don't say crypto isn't used, but compared to fiat it is very very small.

In recent days hackers prefer crypto currency. Because, they're technically skilled and knows how to bypass different parameters involved while a transaction is made. The world is at the very beginning days of crypto adoption. So, at present it isn't possible to spend big with cryptocurrency. There are possible ways, but everyone aren't good enough and strong to take such risks.
3024  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the effects of the G20 Summit on the Crypto Ecosystem on: November 01, 2021, 04:16:26 PM
The motto of the sixteenth G20 meeting is all about people, planet and prosperity. More about the economy connected to taxation. Discussion on green energy and more vaccines to the poor countries were addressed. The need for restricting carbon emissions is much discussed, but it hasn't got specific ideas that strengthen the plan of lowering the emission of carbon.

This meet doesn't look to make big change in any form.

Everything seems to be a good approach, but what is the prime factor that made you have a collaborative donation plan with the cauvery calling. Cauvery calling is a successful campaign to plant tree. The person under who's control it is being done has got more accusations. Nothing offensive, but there are more other ways through which you can make the donation more effective and useful to the common man.

Quite often we get counts on the number of trees planted, but what is the proof for the same. In terms of donation, for a sapling $0.55 is collected. The target to reach is plant 16 million saplings.
3027  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks either adapt or face death on: November 01, 2021, 07:31:45 AM
Banks & governments are going to have to start being bitcoin friendly in the next 10 years or they can just sign their own death cert right now. Bitcoin is the present & definitely the future, adapt or get left behind.
It's not obligatory. The banking system is fully under the protection of each state and, in fact, is part of the state system of power. Therefore, as long as the states exist, nothing threatens the banking system. States have sufficient mechanisms to eliminate any difficulties in the way of their banks.
At the same time, banks have long appreciated the benefits of digital money based on blockchain technology. They will definitely implement it and are partly already on the way to this, however, the financial system does not like haste, it transforms very slowly. Of course, this will be a completely centralized and controlled by banks currency.
Even without addition of bitcoin into the service list banking services is taking place in a much effective manner. Banking services are limited, because beyond certain volume of transaction it requires lot of process. When it comes to cryptocurrency, it is possible to transact any volume of fund with ease. As most users mentioned, it can get added as a store of value which helps the banking process more ease.

In my country three banking transaction upto $750 is free of charge per month. Beyond that for every transaction it cost a minimum of $1 and tax on the transaction cost. When it is compared to bitcoin, right now bitcoin transaction costs big.

On considering different facts it is true that banks will adopt the technology and add bitcoin related services. Even without bitcoin adoption banks will survive and facing death won't happen as easy, because state have control over the banks.
3028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: will shiba inu coin beat bitcoin ? on: October 31, 2021, 11:59:53 PM
Once people believed it to be a meme coin. Even now it is a meme coin, but the growth it has attained made people consider it for trading purpose. This has made them make it a trading asset. It is some form of lucky investment. People invested and it has given them the profit. Beyond this there is nothing to think about, because what is behind it. The answer for this is simply a question mark.

The hypes have paved path for more similar cryptocurrencies reach the market. Now the next one on the trending is dogelon, maybe within few days we can see a thread will dogelon beat bitcoin. Hahaha... Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
3029  Economy / Economics / Re: Africa’s crypto market has grown by more than 1,200% since 2020: Chainalysis on: October 31, 2021, 11:39:04 PM
Sometimes the government leave the people with no choice to make, in the case of Nigerians, I can remember that when they started making use of crypto currency was during their ENDSARS protest. And that was what led to their government deciding to place a ban on cryptocurrencies in the country, so that they can prevent the protesters from having access to funds for the protest.

Unfortunately for them this didn’t work out because immediately they banned cryptocurrency in the country people quickly switched to decentralized exchanges. Now nobody in that country is ready to make use of any exchange that is centralized, and this is going to be the same for other countries that will ban cryptocurrencies, their citizens will switch to decentralized exchanges immediately.
And this is why the existence of bitcoin is important, when there were protests at Honk Kong due to the increase of the influence of China, protesters got donations from others on bank accounts they opened and immediately those accounts were frozen despite the fact their protests were legitimate.

As such we cannot let the governments and banks to have complete control of money and banking because they are abusing that power more than ever, and as such we need something they cannot control so they cannot censor you just because you have an opinion and stance different from what they approve.
Governments fear on this, because when people are the king the government doesn't have anything to do. Governments that are thinking good for its citizens will understand the need for it, and regulate the usage. When the government isn't able to enjoy out of its citizens it tries to ban and keep them under restrictions.

Africa's crypto adoption hadn't happened in a short. It is a gradual growth, because long back itself it is possible to see large number of people using cryptocurrency as they weren't able to carry a large volume of currency that is under hard inflation. Now this has taken fast phase adoption.
3030  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fiat-betting to crypto+betting on: October 31, 2021, 07:29:07 PM
Purchasing bitcoin at market value is not as easy as it sounds for first time buyers for starters and secondly you need to do your homework of finding the best crypto betting platform to avoid jumping in the deep end which has so many requirements before you start playing.
There is no much research to do when purchasing crypto, I understand that at least people that have just known about bitcoin should first make researches especially about not to get scammed because many sites are scamming people. But as bitcoin and crypto adoption is high now, there are even legit local traders advertised in individual countries while it is easy to make little researches to see reputable exchanges.

Oops be careful with that kind of mindset. You are right that adoption is indeed higher but this also gives the opportunity for scammers to conceal themselves and cause it appear that they legit/genuine, but which is not. Remember that the more BTC adoption goes recognized, the more reason for scammers to take advantage of such situation.

Proper research is always the key in order to avoid any scams in dealing with an exchange. Remember also that prevention is always better than cure- that is why always read reviews and feedbacks in order to strengthen the security.
Proper research lets the user stay cautious from scammers. Important thing that needs to be focused is the buying option. Different gambling platforms support buying of cryptocurrencies through third party services. This will make the platform trusted as well as lets you get the cryptocurrency with ease than using different sources for buying.
3031  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Issue of fixed Matches on: October 31, 2021, 07:10:16 PM
Those are days when fixed matches are very common around in all sports. Now this has decreased a lot, due to the technology advancement. Earlier small signs were noted for fixed matches. With the present technology uplifting it is easy to identify these activities of players. Once I participated in such a match, and won the game. During the year around 2000 match fixing was quite common in most of the sports.
3032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Jonas Sultan vs Carlos Caraballo - October 30, 2021 on: October 31, 2021, 06:23:52 PM
Congratulations to Jonas Sultan, that was a good win but I don't agree with the scoring, it looks like the judges put their money on Caraballo but it's too obvious that Sultan won because of his knockdown scores. I hope they will be investigated as it looks like they try to build the undefeated fighter but failed.
Quote
"This is boxing. This is war,” Sultan said. “And I came to win tonight. Caraballo is a tough man, but I wanted this one.

I followed this up here

I think it was a keenly contested fight with a narrow win for Sultan. A narrow win of 94-93 points isn't a fight that was easy to decide but at the end of the day the victory was given to Jonas Sultan and in the game of sports victory must be declared. Is up ty Caraballo who has the crowd by his side to restrategize

Really a close fight. From the very beginning the match was very close. Every round created expectation, because it isn't possible to predict who the winner will be. Round 6 gave momentum for Sultan and he properly made use of it. Carlos Caraballo was good with his defence than Jonas Sultan. Finally it was an enjoyable day for Philippine people.
3033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 31, 2021, 05:05:09 PM
Cant believe what is happening with india, they were the favorites before the start of this tournament and now they are on the verge of second loss in a row, and both the matches they have been beaten comprehensively, yes they lost the toss in both matches but still scoring 110 runs in 20 overs is not expectable, can really tell what is the exact problem for india right now.
It's very strange for me as well what suddenly happen to this Indian team after losing against Pakistan first time in CWC today they are completely out of way their body language is also not good enough for fighting in this match look like they are ready for early exit from World Cup 110/7 is really a joke as these all players was good enough in IPL they understand pitches and also having good advantage from other all teams. Look like some big coming after world cup because this completely not expected from them.

15 runs from 42 balls right now target for Kiwis after winning this match now they can feel some better for qualifying for semi-final.
They doesn't want to feel better, now they can feel comfortable. For India three matches were left, if two matches were won it can't get into the top 2 So, this time India hasn't got the luck to get qualified for the semi final. India has completely lost its play, because they're under pressure to win. This time Pakistan is very strong to defeat any team. The poor performance of India is visible through the score 110.

australia on the other hand doing pretty bad against england. They have been bowled out for 125 in 20 overs which is a very low score specially against a team like england. I see an easy win for england in this match.
Like all other previous matches on Dubai DSC, the batting first side continues their struggling. I guess toss alone going to play the deciding role one more time in this big tournament. Honestly this Dubai pitch is seeming like not at all fit for hosting a T20 match especially for a big tournament like T20 worldcup.

I was unable to predict a winner for this match hence I have not placed any bet (same for today's first match as well). Still, I guess we can enjoy a thriller if Starc and co make any big impact within powerplay overs.
In most matches toss is playing a big role in the winning. As said, Dubai pitch doesn't look to be a proper choice for such big tournament. Most of the time special tournaments were conducted in Dubai and other grounds of United Arab Emirates just to get the support from common people of Asian countries. Also Dubai serves as a centre location for rest of the nation. This seems to be the prime reason than thinking of the pitch condition.
3035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Jonas Sultan vs Carlos Caraballo - October 30, 2021 on: October 30, 2021, 03:09:44 PM
Sultan isn't a famous boxing champion yet in the Philipines so he must take this chance and opportunity to create a good name so more people would support him because that's what he needs as a new boxer. It's an exciting fight and I hope that he would do his best to win his match tomorrow. Lots of people have bet on him which simply means that many people are rooting for him.
Both are young boxers. There is not much of difference in the performance and this makes the odds to be close. Tomorrow we can have more lucky winners making good win as more and more number of betting options were availed. In all his previous matches Carlos Caraballo have won through technical knockout and knockout. Tomorrows match seems to go close.
3036  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 30, 2021, 01:36:31 PM
That is a big win for South Africa. The last over was really big for South Africa. David Miller scored at the right moment, because leaving a single ball decrease the winning chance. The consecutive sixes from David Miller made South Africa win by four wickets. Reaching a target of 142 looked simple when the second innings started, inbetween continuous wicket fall increased the pressure on South Africa. The match was really awesome to watch and all who have placed a bet upon two teams might've experienced the increased heart pumping.
3037  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: October 30, 2021, 09:23:58 AM
Raducanu is in action now against Kostyuk who has taken the 1st set and
looking like taking the 2nd, its 1 - 5 there now.

Unfortunately she lost,  predictions will be tight turns out not, Raducannu has lost a lot of games.
My multibet in the ATP Vienna quarter-finals lost because I preferred over in the Ruud vs Sinner match, tight in the first set, not happen in the second set, Ruud lost too easily in the second set.
Zverev vs Sinner might be an ideal final but before they have to beat their opponents, Tiafoe is quite impressive here maybe he will surprise again.
For Raducannu it was something special. Because, her grandmother resides there and it is the country where her father born. Once after the winning Kostyuk mentioned she can't believe how this happened and gained good confidence out of the winning. Weeks back Halep and Kostyuk played and Halep won on the direct sets. Today's match could be a winning match for Halep.
3038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: October 30, 2021, 06:48:41 AM
Which team is having the upper hand for the Ashes series? I was thinking that it would be a cakewalk for England, but given the fact that some of their players are injured, they may not be able to field their best side. And at the same time, some of the Australian players, who were not in great form earlier (Warner, Cummins.etc) seems to have recovered by now. It is going to be an evenly contested series between two of the big 3 teams, and the Australian players are always at their best during the Ashes.

It doesn't matter if Australia plays good or bad in a certain match for the tournament they are always really serious about the ashes series. If you see the Australians play the ashes you will know that it means a lot to them. I personally love to see ashes because for me this is the biggest rivalry after probably India vs Pakistan. But if we talk about only test matches, ashes is by far the biggest rivalry ever. I have always supported Australia in ashes because they always seemed to have a flair about them and their play style. And probably another reason was Australia have always had some superstars like Glenn McGrath and Share Warne and Ponting etc. But this time I think  England is going to win the ashes series regardless of their injury problems. Because England seems to be a complete team to me right now.
The previous Ashes ended in a draw, and the same gives way for more expectation on the 2021-2022 series. The past team can't be compared with the present team. Those are legendary players who kept the Australia team as if like a strong palace which can't be destroyed that easy. Things changed little by little, and recently they regained good form. Something in between happened and once again the team went down. As in the above quote England looks complete, but Australia hasn't got perfect squad. Often players gets swapped which itself not a good sign of being strong.
3039  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: October 30, 2021, 01:56:50 AM
Logan Paul could make a win. He needs to have few years of hard training. As he's young regular practice will surely give him success, because it is not an easy thing to fight against another person who has trained himself in a professional manner. In movies we used to see a person calling for people from the crowd, anyone there to fight against me. Suddenly on person comes out and he defeats the professional one in the ring. This won't happen in the real-time. Logan has to understand and call for fights.
3040  Other / Archival / Re: The beginning of the end of traditional payment processors? on: October 30, 2021, 12:55:20 AM
It is hard to see anyone that knows about Bitcoin and what they can do with it, still making use of MoneyGram and Western Union when they are doing transactions. I myself, since I discovered bitcoin, I can’t remember the last time I have had to go to the bank to carry out an international transaction, because people who I am doing the transactions to abroad are all making use of bitcoin and I can easily stay at home and send whatever amount of money they need to them instantly.

So, why would I have to make use of the bank, when I have enough bitcoin and altcoins in my wallet and I can do that same right from the comfort of my home? So, they lost a customer already.

Crypto may have certain benefits for international payments, but the limited transaction capacity and unstable prices is what "kills" it. It's this reason why traditional payment processors are still relevant even with crypto/Blockchain tech in play. I don't see crypto replacing traditional payment processors anytime soon, especially when Fiat is a dominant player in the world's economic system. Crypto will only serve as an alternative monetary system for those who need it the most.

One thing for sure is that El Salvador's decision to adopt Bitcoin as legal tender will greatly boost crypto's mainstream adoption. But it will not signal the end of traditional payment processors. I'm fine with that as long as crypto remains decentralized and censorship-resistant. Just my opinion Smiley
With international payments bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies truly have a big place. It is highly advantageous over the traditional payment in terms of process as well as with the limits of transaction. It is quite hard to have an unified decision from the governments around. If that happens then we can see the rise in the universal adoption which at present is very minima, but tooking good phase after few countries participation.

El Salvador is under surveillance of every country. Once again it has made use of the dip buying 420 bitcoins. Now the country owns 1100 bitcoin. The success of El Salvador will make a big change in market adoption as it is the one to take a perfect decision at the right time even when there is group opposing the adoption.
