There are only 7 million dash coins mined and 15 millions more to mine so now is the good time to start mining dash right? what can I expect to earn with 500 MH/s daily? I mean in dash not in USD or BTC.

Best to check for answers here : https://www.dash.org/forum/topic/mining.3/

3043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin/s are (Dash, Monero, ZCASH) are TRULY anonymous? on: March 19, 2017, 10:46:31 AM
I've seen a lot of shilling on this forum, and I can't tell where it ends.
Can someone tell me the positives and negatives of Dash, Monero and Zcash?
Is one more anonymous than the other?

With Dash you have an open ledger just like Bitcoin (Dash is forked from Bitcoin for compatibility reasons), but you can choose to mix your funds with other users
through a decentralized and trustless system thats actually inside your wallet and you can build up a private amount in there.
This can be done from 1 to 8 rounds, with 8 rounds forming to strongest anonymity.

You can then PrivateSend an amount from your builded-up private amount to another address and the transaction history trace will be obfisquated,
making it extremely difficult to trace your transaction on the open ledger by third parties.

Monero and Zcash are anonymous cryptocurrencies by nature, the option to provide traceable transactions for all to see is lacking there.

With Dash Evolution you will have different type of accounts (spending, saving, private). The private account will automatically and instantly gets mixed with other users
and be ready for use. Dash Evolution is scheduled for the end of this year, with an alpha release scheduled mid summer.

Dash and Zcash both have trusted setups--which is a no go for anyone who cares about privacy.

Which is bullshit of course, Dash is both decentralized with its miners and its masternodes and has a trustless setup:

This just proves that generalizethis can not be trusted with regards to statements about Dash.

ok, please tell me why the dash price rose like this.

the only reason i can imagine is the low supply. but without demand the lowest supply does not lead to a price increase.

who expect from traders and speculator is buying dash? i never saw a service i would use that accepts dash?

I used to be in DRK/DASH years ago, sold maybe a year or more ago, the price seems to be linked with big blocks payment issues with BTC, generally solid DASH community (no scammy aspect), and a dash, so to speak, of just hyper. But good fundamentals*

*I own zero DASH so I'm not saying to anyone to do so.

Thank you, that is a very decent thing to say.
3047  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dash about to rise up again? on: March 18, 2017, 08:17:55 PM
1 Dash = 0.118
1 Dash = $114

Yep, thats a rise allright.

I'm very impressed that you managed to get Roger Ver for an interview and also i think your interview skills are
getting better and better (you seem much more comfortable behind the mic).
Well done Tao.

I am also amazed to hear Roger Ver started to invest in Dash (among other altcoins) 9 months ago, i had no idea he has been
holding Dash that long.

Its strange, ever since we crossed the 0.1 its all blue in cryptowat.ch : https://cryptowat.ch/poloniex/dashbtc/4hr

It is a fancy sort of color effect, i like it
I think its cryptowat.ch way of saying : congratz

edit : or the colors are at war with each other, with blue gaining the upper hand...  Huh
hmm at war with each other reminds me of something.. but what ?  Undecided

(this regards Bitcoin's possible hard fork and Poloniex viewpoint)

this too : http://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-exchanges-unveil-emergency-hard-fork-contingency-plan/

The exchanges are now planning to list Bitcoin Unlimited (BU) as they would an alternative cryptocurrency, according to the statement. BU is an alternate implementation of the bitcoin software that seeks to expand the block size in an effort to scale the network's capacity.

According to the statement – backed by Bitfinex, Bitstamp, BTCC, Bitso, Bitsquare, Bitonic, Bitbank, Coinfloor, Coincheck, itBit, QuadrigaCX, Bitt, Bittrex, Kraken, Ripio, ShapeShift, The Rock Trading and Zaif – the exchanges would list the BU asset under the BTU or XBU tickers in the event of a network split, which they collectively say "may be inevitable".
Other exchanges, though not listed as signatories, are said to be planning similar steps but have not signed on to this particular statement.

It really is getting to be a bloody mess out there.

Here is an overview of Poloniex Market Depth, interesting is how the sell orders keep dropping to a lower level.
Its already entered 12000 Dash up for sale range by now and keeps falling down.

It will be interesting to see what happens when the sell orders really hit low times....

They will never admit this, but deep deep down they love Dash

That made me think....

Day in and day out sit and troll something. It must be the most negative existence. I can't imagine any job on earth that can be more depressing. You can never tell your friends or family what you do - they will think you are mad. ...Lonely ....sad....mad?

Unless of course they are a brilliant DASH marketing initiative. New user stumbles on to this thread - sees their posts and wonders what is this all about. Starts reading - looks at DASH - gets the whole story - looks at the graphs and thinks: "Oh - this actually looks quite good" and buys!

No such thing as bad publicity? That might help to explain the constant DASH price increases. DASH thinking out of the box again. Very devious guys!  Grin

eh, no comment.

3055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: March 18, 2017, 08:02:28 AM
Every day I told to myself, it's too late to buy dash, it's too late, but everyday dash was up! poor me

There is just too much uncertainty with Bitcoin currently (check Coindesk, lots of talks about a possible upcoming unavoidable hard fork),
so investors are fleeing towards cryptocurrencies which they consider a safe heaven.

Due to Dash masternode network which actually rewards longterm holding, those investors are picking Dash more and more. In the end this whole
process will just re-enforce itself.

3056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: March 18, 2017, 07:26:25 AM
I cant understand why arielbit and icebreaker are still in this thread?  they're more active in this thread than the DASH community members?

Tall Poppy Syndrome is what it is.

They will never admit this, but deep deep down they love Dash
3057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrency is the fastest? on: March 17, 2017, 11:09:47 PM
As Bitcoin becomes slower each day in transaction confirmation time, other alternatives could prove to become useful for everyday transactions. Cryptocurrencies like Litecoin, Dogecoin, and even Ethereum have faster transaction confirmation time allowing you to send and receive coins at a hassle-free way.

Thus, among the wide variety of altcoins, many have block times which are near instantaneous. Based on these facts, which cryptocurrencies do you consider the fastest?

I would appreciate if you would list it or them here.  Smiley

Dash has InstantSend, which is about 2 seconds and gives you 4 confirmations on a transaction.
It also has that transaction locked to prevent double-spending.
3058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dash.. but why? on: March 17, 2017, 06:08:13 AM
Dash is a scam. PERIOD!

I see all logic has left you. time for the ignore button.

Some time ago we had a discussion about pruning, which is a way to reduce storage space by deleting old blocks,
i just found the commandline option in Dash v0.12.3 (Windows QT wallet):

Looks like we are getting back in the 0.08 range....

edit : small correction, we are back in the 0.08 range  Grin
Here we go! Grin
Where is the next stop?

We'll bounce between $98 and $75 for a bit - just a bit....

and reach a new ATH...
