3041  Other / Meta / Re: The DT system needs to change. on: August 15, 2022, 10:00:04 PM
First of all, what exactly is the advantage of DT power? why so much drama about it?
As a DT, I didn't recognize any special benefits, except that I get more PMs from newbies and spammers to help them solve the red tag mostly.
I would say that DT status is overrated, most often because of the created conspiracy theory and accusing DT members of joining clans. mostly drama started by trolls or spammers, who failed in their original intention of spamming the forum.

I'm in favor to change DT1 inclusions to determine DT2 and increase required inclusions.
Only one DT1 inclusion can be easily abused and 2 would be better for sure.
If there's still abuse, present in on Reputation and DT will review it. That's DT's job.

someone proposed to introduce more levels of DT, maybe it could be a solution, where the number of necessary inclusions for each level would be increased.

I'm thinking it can be interesting, maybe LoyceV could use the data he collects to recalculate what the trust system would look like with these changes. I believe that it is feasible if he would include a couple of conditions like a minimum 2 or 3 inclusion for DT1.

I already wrote about it, but I will repeat it again. A couple of users who delete their trust list do not mean much, not even enough to be excluded from the DT1 list.
I believe that only if the top 20-30 members from the list https://loyce.club/trust/ranking/ insisted that they be removed or blacklisted, would cause some change. again, the forum would certainly continue to function, there is even no guarantee that it would be of lower quality with all that changes.

I was thinking of supporting the initiative to yahoo62278 and dkbit98, but I'm really lazy to filter the list because I wouldn't touch my distrust list.
3042  Economy / Services / Re: [END] WasabiWallet.io Review Campaign | 0.002 BTC/Review on: August 15, 2022, 09:53:23 PM
Thank you icopress for running this Wasabi Wallet reviews thread. It offered a wide array of differing experiences from those that used testnet to those that deposited but did not coinjoin as well as those that used most facilities including coinjoin.

I hope the feedback helps the Wasabi Wallet developers as they continue updating and improving the service  Wink

I would like to hear their response to all these suggestions, did they get what they wanted. now we are all connected in some way  Cheesy, why not be involved in further development?
3043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: August 15, 2022, 07:34:24 PM
as Hotbit has been hacked/closed again, i.e. stopped use, trading, withdrawal, etc. what to use now for Idena trading?
is trading on Bitmart normal, without unexpected things?

also, my nod has been offline for a few days. I think it gets stuck during initialization because I don't even get around to counting down the remaining blocks until full synchronization.
what do I need to do? some cache to wipe?
3044  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Casino Critique - needs sugesstion. PGP finger print and signed bitcoin address on: August 15, 2022, 03:55:30 PM
I still didn't understand why you need crowdfunding.
you explained how your campaign will work, chips and etc... but why do you need it?
looking at ANN, there are quite a number of you in the team, can't you all invest a certain amount of money? Of course, if you believe in your idea, that shouldn't be a problem.
I also think that you would be much more careful and dedicated if you would bear the risk of the business yourself. wasn't that one of the biggest problems with the ICO, where the investors took the biggest risk of the whole project, unlike the initiators who more or less came out with a profit?
3045  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Multiple Tradingview Webhooks in a Single Trade on: August 15, 2022, 03:09:53 PM
Wow no reply so no solution to this? I thought it will be very easy to get answer here.

maybe because there is no direct solution for your request (with a high probability of what Husna QA said, this is a beginners & help section, and it is hard to expect experienced traders to come and give answers to usually banal questions)

going back to your problem, I would think in the direction of making my own trading bot, which will have this or a similar possibility. I know that the MT platform has a lot of advanced features, but it is basically simplified to forex trading.
3046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★ Unnamed.exchange - Unnamed Exchange [Official Thread] ★ on: August 15, 2022, 02:27:06 PM
Now I'm getting:

The owner of this website (www.unnamed.exchange) has banned the autonomous system number (ASN) your IP address is in (______) from accessing this website.

did you have an account there and is there a possibility that the site owner connected your account with your IP address?
I haven't a problem opening this website, although I never had an account there, so I consider myself a casual passer-by

is there anyone still using this obscure site(exchange)?
3047  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Another one bites the dust! But this one's different. The Hotbit case. on: August 15, 2022, 02:17:59 PM
They are stating on Twitter that all funds are safe (how many times have we heard that?) and they expect the freeze to "not be too long" (whatever that means).

as far as I remember, all their previous hacks where they temporarily closed the exchange lasted between two and four weeks. I believe that it will be like that now, for at least two weeks.

Hopefully no one actually loses their money here, but damn, how are people still trusting these platforms given what has happened over the last few weeks/months?

Some altcoins (I'm not going to say shitcoins) are the easiest to sell there. I, for example, did not manage to convert to TRX (TRX instead of bitcoin because of the high fee), now I have some funds locked up there.
3048  Economy / Reputation / Re: Thread locked I owe it to aew. JollyGood and his Feedback on: August 15, 2022, 01:50:58 PM
If you look at his trust list, He made only two changes in the last twelve months. This could be an example too. Maybe he is one of the wise guys in this forum who uses everything accordingly.

I wouldn't really accept this as a good example. things change, people too, plus some new members are coming. I think that the trust list cannot be made once and for all.
some of the users have never been involved in any delicate discussions, so you can't even know how they would behave in certain situations. especially those with an empty trust/distrust list
3049  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Hotbit exchange suspends deposits, withdrawals and trading on: August 15, 2022, 10:26:46 AM
I just wonder the inconvenience those that are using Hotbit to trade will be right now. Also some people like leaving coins on exchanges, which is not right at all, if it is not your key, it is not your coin, exchanges do not give your any private key, they have it all and have control over your money. The government freeze some funds of the exchange (as we heard about it), but it could even be all the funds that has been frozen, leaving Hotbit customers in panic. People that will mostly leave their coins on exchanges are traders, definitely they will all be significantly affected by this.

there is not too much stress here for the Hotbit users. (I am one of them). a similar thing happens with them approximately every 2-3 months, "maintenance due to potential hack". We are not particularly surprised by the current situation, I believe that the majority of users did not hold any serious amount of money on this exchange.
occasionally I have some altcoins that are easiest for me to sell on Hotbit. Deposit altcoin, sell it, withdraw whatever. that's all.
to be honest, so far not a single Hotbit hack has sampled the theft of money.
3050  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Preev.com - DNS hosting service has expired. on: August 15, 2022, 10:14:05 AM
I have tried reaching the developer via multi-services, and there is no response. I have offered a ridiculous amount to buy the domain so I could get his attention, yet again no response ($1M in ETH was offered).

Wow, how did you arrive at that value for that domain? I mean $1M, is it really worth that much?

Quote
I hope I'm mistaken, but something maybe happened to the developer. It is not a matter of money; it's cheap to renew hosting services.

considering that after the interruption, the page still appears again, I would say that everything is fine with the owner, only that page is not on his list of important priorities.
3051  Economy / Services / Re: TWITTER MANAGER :) ;) :D ;D >:( :( on: August 15, 2022, 10:00:16 AM
.

ignore him, he doesnt have imagination probably posting just for posting count, if anyone interested im still open for this services.

it took you 5 months to give an answer, not even a direct answer to the question. although I was very serious and I was really interested in your reasoning. if you offer a valuable and legitimate thing, you certainly have no problem answering any question.
if you only offer fog, you will probably come here again in a few months.

..
ignore him, he doesnt have imagination probably posting just for posting count, if anyone interested im still open for this services.
Yup thats the right attitude, keep up the good work im sure you will get many clients this way.

what kind of good work should he continue? can you point to a reference?
3052  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] ATHOS META [ATM] Plagiarized Content, Multiple Red Flags on: August 13, 2022, 07:37:30 PM
Thanks for your review.

We are very delighted that our project are expanding in many crypto communities and are paid a lot of attentions from users

The crypto field has general terms and there are  thousands of projects being born everyday, we think this is not a big problem to analyze.

When we blend ourself in this market, we took Cardano as our goal to strive and we work night and day to achieve our targets

Regarding the game field, we have experienced it for 10 years, and there are thousands of game versions similar to us nowaday. Fishing Games are very popular in people's lives, we have implemented many game projects and gained a lot of good reputation. And now we want to apply this game to P2E blockchain model so that we can bring more benefits to users based on the clever ATM tokenomics

As far as we know, Gila Studio persists in the belief that this is their game product. Indeed they copied and imitated our products on the app store so many times.

Please read our game information here https://docs.athos-meta.io/ecosystem/p2e-fishing-game, we believe that this product will put a new brick in the crypto game market. Stay tuned with us for upcoming news

I would like to know what you and "your team" use for mood management. Sounds very good.
You are here accused of plagiarism, and this is negative attention to your Athosmeta project. I believe that when you understand the negative ratings and the active flag, then you will ask here for it to be withdrawn because it is a mistake.

Based on all the evidence, I tagged their account and created a Newbie warning (Type 1) Flag against user AthosMeta: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=3019
Please support if you agree.

Supported, now I am going to red tag them.
3053  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] ATHOS META [ATM] Plagiarized Content, Multiple Red Flags on: August 11, 2022, 11:30:43 AM
OP, you can probably create an actual flag for this user, you confused me a little with so many flags in your report, but without a flag for support.  Cheesy

If he AthosMeta started the business with plagiarism, cannot expect any honourable work behind everything so, it should be marked and neg. tagged.
3054  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Preev.com - DNS hosting service has expired. on: August 10, 2022, 10:01:13 AM
edit: is there any similar free script?
A similar site to preev.com? Have you tried the one I suggested in one of my previous posts in this topic?
https://bitcoinpricecalc.com/

It's not really a catchy name and some people rightly say the site name is too long and hard to remember. But I like the historical price references and the orange bitcoin background more than the boring white page of preev.

"similar script" not "site"  Wink
I know for bitcoinpricecalc.com, follow them from his announcing, but just because the name is too long (three words in the domain), I might look for an alternative that will be always online.
3055  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Significance of uppercase or lowercase “B” in Bitcoin. on: August 09, 2022, 11:34:46 PM
I must confess that I am getting to know for the first time, but until now and moving forward  Grin, I've gotten so used to capitalizing the first letter "B" in Bitcoin, until now, I never knew that "Bitcoin" and "bitcoin" has separate meanings.
For me, I've always capitalized the letter "B" in Bitcoin as a way of expressing respect for what the coin has turned out to become, just as it is with "God"~with capital "G" refers to the Almighty creator of heavens and the earth, while "god"~with small "g" refers to the smaller gods of this world.

I kind of left it to the autocorrect, as far as I have noticed, it is always corrected to capital B. I guess I will pay attention to that from now.
I did not find what the BTC abbreviation is reserved for.
3056  Economy / Reputation / Re: Clearing my trust list on: August 09, 2022, 11:20:20 PM
I decided to take a bit of advice and clear my trust list. dkbit98 made a suggestion and while I do not think it would force theymos to do anything, I do think DT isn't really a prestigious position to hold any longer.

you know that this will not change your status much, you will still be in the DT selection because, it sounds a bit strange, but others decide about it. Others who keep you on their trust list.
If I remember correctly, marlboroza tried to get out of the DT circle and asked everyone to put him on the distrust list, I don't think that ever happened.
3057  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Physical Bitcoin for the 3rd World on: August 09, 2022, 10:15:31 PM
Now that I have discovered an exquisite counterfeit-resistant note that requires 2 signatures to be redeemed, I am interested in discussing ways to reduce the need to electronically verify the note to the point where anyone who receives the note will instantly know that it is valid. In this way it can be used like cash.

1) Before the note is circulated, it will need to be loaded so that no one inadvertently receives an empty note. In order to remove arbitrary trust, it will need to be guaranteed at face value by the issuer - probably via an escrow contract. A government entity with unlimited funds would be ideal.

2) When a bill is redeemed, it will need to be irreparably destroyed in order to eliminate circulation of the emptied note. This will also require an escrowed guarantee of some sort, preferably automated via oracle as well. A notary or other verifiable witness will likely be needed before the second signature is made.

Solidity?

Tapscript?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5402259.0

doesn't it seem that digital things are too involved in something that should be prioritized through physical value?
the name itself, "3rd world" was created due to the backward use of advanced technologies.

however, I would use your idea in the opposite direction, national currencies to be moved to the blockchain.
3058  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is this person trying to do on: August 09, 2022, 09:55:12 PM
Less than $1 is enough to move USDT on Tron blockchain, but newbies can be ignorant to the extent that they can be lured to use $10 fee or higher to make the transaction.

Avoid this scam.

USDT can be blocked by Tether, the victim does not have many chances here
Check here, zasad@ write about that and also how to check it. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5247581
3059  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is this person trying to do on: August 09, 2022, 09:35:41 PM
this is already a well-known scam method. the scammer really shared the seed or private key, and the victim is expected to transfer some money to cover the tx fee. you assume that the scammer will withdraw this money immediately.
apparently, this method has become very popular recently, because more and more people are writing about it. for example
There is a new scam going around on Twitter, WHY THOUGH?!?
Take money $170,000

however, stay away from there.
3060  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: August 09, 2022, 09:16:19 PM
Manchester United's problem is a proper DM who can cover up spaces and bring energy to the game; Rabiot can DM as well, but he's not that guy. Fred's conversion to DM isn't working because he's spent his entire life playing the attacking role before joining Manchester United. Something is wrong with the team when the goalkeeper is the best player in every game. They need Ndidi or Rice in that position..

they should change the entire midfield. McFred combination is probably the worst duo, It is not at all clear to me why there is so much insistence on McTom. here is already the third manager. I guess he is very good at training.
I'm not sure that Rice or Ndidi would have brought such significant progress in that segment, they need player profiles like Roy Keane.
