The last two midweek fixtures turned into two yellow caps for me, need more of those... Grin

Surprised to see that Atalanta didn't have many backers in our pool, Napoli with their talisman Insigne out, one of their best midfielders and in-form guys Fabian Ruiz also out due to injury, and Spalletti serving a two-game suspension for his red card against Sassuolo. A lot of things were pointing towards a positive outcome for the visiting team, just saying...

Now, who watched Roma and Inter match?

https://twitter.com/toribiotome/status/1467202513065713677

Watching it live i thought it was a goal, Brozovic thought it was a goal, livescoring apps marked it a goal (temporarily)...hilarious moment nonetheless.  Grin
I was thinking between Napoli win and draw. I missed these news about Napoli, well, my fault for not making homework Cheesy. Seems that now Atalant got in very good rhytm.
And WTF was that? Epic moment Cheesy. Even commentators realised it was no goal just from 2nd replay. It instantly remind me this ghost goal from Bundesliga:

3042  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Why I wouldn't buy Ledger Nano S ever again? on: December 04, 2021, 11:54:49 PM
You have valid points, but I don't see much point to complain much about device which was released 5 years ago and never been considered as high end product.
1. Closed Source - well, you probably knew about it when you bought this wallet, nothing has changed through all these years. For some people it's not big deal. If someone discovered that Ledger is closed source only after they have bought it, it's their fault, not Ledger.
2. Small Memory. It's always been case with Ledger. Install/Uninstall is a bit inconvenient thing, but for peoplewho keep BTC mainly I think it's not an issue. But if you keep 1032 different coins/tokens, you can get Nano X with bigger memory.
3. Display dies after few years. I haven't heard about this issue before this topic and I guess it doesn't happens often. Keeping device properly can help to avoid such issue.
4. Cheap plastic body. I would like if Nano S would be rugged, but then I guess it wouldn't cost $60 and price of it would be way above $100.
5. Nano S could soon be discontinued. Well, nothing lasts forever. Same like Windows discontinue to support old versions or phone manufacturers stop giving updates to old phones. But you still can use it, same like you still can acces your crypto on old Ledger devices. I remember some guesses that Ledger amy discontinue Nano S, soon after release of Nano X, but I think 1.5 year already passed and it didn't happened.
6. Bad Multisig support. Personally I don't need this thing, but yeah, I must agree about it.
7. Leaking personal information. That's big issue, it seriously hit Ledger reputation, but because of it device itself don't become worse.
8. Bad support. I don't have much experience with Ledger support, so I can't comment much about it, but unfortunately, poor support is quite often trend in crypto business. Though, it's not excuse for Ledger.
To summarize everything, Ledger is far from being perfect, but I think it's not worth to have very big expectations about old device for $60. It's same like you don't expect that 5 year old mid range phone will work better than new flagship or Toyota Prius will be better than Tesla Model S.
Now I wouldn't buy Nano S, but 4 or 5 year ago when I bought it, it wasn't an bad option.
3043  Other / Meta / Re: What is happening with the CAPTCHA? on: December 04, 2021, 11:09:56 PM
I don't know why, but I had the idea that for security reasons it is better to log out and log in. Can anyone confirm if there is no problem with this?
Probably it's better in terms of security, especially if you haven't clicked to remember login details on your browser. But I don't share my PC and smartphone with anyone, so, I don't see much point to log in/log out every time when I visit Bitcointalk. Especially when I come here so many times during the day.
3044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: December 04, 2021, 06:52:11 PM
Unbelievable end to qualifying!

Insane speed from Max, right on the limit, looked like he was going to steal that pole position back... and then, almost unimaginably, took it a little too hard on the very final corner... scuppering the lap, damaging the car... potential grid penalty for replacement parts? It really shows how hard these two are fighting... every last centimetre is crucial.

Really hope car damage doesn't hurt him here, we want Max vs Lewis on the track, no grid penalties for either of them.
Indeed, it was amazing qualifying. Max pushed limits and on first sector he made mistake when he almost hit wall. Despite it, he was fastest on first sector. On second sector he improved his time a bit more and most likely he would get pole. But that mistake on last corner was very painful for him. But seems that car wasn't damaged seriously, so I doubt that he will get penalty.
We have two Mercedes on front row, but with such pace Max is fully able to fight for a win tomorrow.
BTW, I think that safety car is very likely to appear on race and wouldn't be surprised if red flags will be needed on such dangerous track.

Can't remember when I had to solve captcha to login to Bitcointalk last time. I clicked to always stay logged in, so I can't answer your question.
Are you using VPN or Tor? I think that people who use it sometimes face issues when they have to solve captcha.
I remember when I used faucets I had to solve hundreds of captchas each day and then difficulty of Google ReCaptcha increased much. It's normal thing because Google considered that activity from my network is suspicious. That may be case for you if you're using TOR, VPN or something similar.
3047  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Firmware Update? on: December 03, 2021, 06:44:08 PM
Well... looks like the answer was November 30th, 2021

They've put out an update to support Taproot amongst other things:
https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/360010446000-Ledger-Nano-S-firmware-release-notes?docs=true

Update was simple enough... saw the "New Firmware" banner in Ledger Live, clicked update now... followed the prompts... it even has the "re-install apps" feature at the end of the process that will put all the apps you had installed back on the device for you.

The entire process took less than 5 minutes.

I also had updated my Ledger firmware yesterday. Everything was smooth and without any issues. Actually, I was a bit surprised about it because on previous updates usually I had some kind f errors or other issues and had to search for answers how to solve it.
3048  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Share your story: what would you do when vaccines get mandatory? on: December 03, 2021, 06:09:48 PM
Yeah sorry, my summary wasn't exactly what you said. Would you accept a QR society, assuming you can get all the fake passports you need?
I'm not sure yet, it's not easy question. I don't really want to get another vaccine shot. But getting fake vaccine passport will be quite risky - if you will be caught, you're in big trouble. I think you can even get into jail for it.
I think such questions like mandatory vaccination should be answered in referendum, but it's obvious that government isn't going to ask people's opinion about it.
3049  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: December 03, 2021, 06:02:17 PM
Guys, who knows how the winner of the round is determined when two participants have absolutely identical results?
https://talkimg.com/images/2023/09/10/melpa.png
Here is article from Superbru explaining how yellow cap is given:
https://www.superbru.com/help#reamaze#0#/kb/tournaments/scores-are-tied-for-the-yellow-cap-how-was-the-yellow-cap-allocated
Quote
In the event of a score tie, our standard tie-breaking rules apply for the sport in question. If the tie cannot be broken, two or more players share the Yellow Cap.

Tie-breaking

In the event of points ties on a pool leaderboard, position is allocated on the basis of higher WP total, then higher MP total, then lower TDM. If scores are still tied after these criteria are applied, the players are adjudged to be tied. TDM is Total Distance from Margin: the sum of the differences between a player's margin predictions and the actual margins.
So, in this case Hoody Hoo got yellow cap because of tie-breaker.
3050  Other / Meta / Re: if they banned signature ads would this forum still exist? on: December 03, 2021, 05:30:27 PM
I'm not sure what's the point asking such question which was already asked so many times in past. We aren't going to find new truth here.
Without any doubts, without signature campaigns forum would exist, it's only question, how active it would be. Actually I don't like ''what if'' questions and this one belongs to this category because it seems that theymos have no intentions to forbid signature campaigns.
Without sig. campaigns and bounties worst spammers and people who came here just for money would leave forum. I'm not sure how popular my opinion is, but I think that at the same time best forum members would become less active. Signature campaigns gives them extra motivation to share their valuable knowledge and I have some doubts that without getting paid they would be so active.
3051  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: December 03, 2021, 04:35:25 PM
I was just saying a week or two ago actually that Europa League would be not bad for us to play in, to train our youngsters and give us more time to develop. The prize money isn't great but if we really cut all our wage bills, we should be able to manage. I mean even United was there last few seasons too so that's not too bad.

(I say this convincing myself lol)
After so many years in Champions League I can convince myself to see Barca playing in Europa league. Though, even if we will beat Bayern somehow, qualifying for next season Champions league won't be easy and as Trofo said, difference of prize money is big.
On the other hand, Barcelona is preparing Espai Barca project with reconstructed Camp Nou and New Palau Blaugrana and it will cost €1.5 billion. This project will bring profits in the future, but I'm not sure how club in such poor financial situation can afford to make such expensive projects.
3052  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Share your story: what would you do when vaccines get mandatory? on: December 03, 2021, 12:24:34 PM
@LTU_btc suggests to just accept the QR society and buy a code on the black market.
Well, I didn't said that. My thought is that if governments will make vaccination mandatory, black market for vaccine passpprts will be big. It's difficult to expect that even with mandatory vaccination 100% of people will take vaccine. Even now some are trying to get fake passports.
3053  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Share your story: what would you do when vaccines get mandatory? on: December 02, 2021, 11:54:33 PM
I must say that I got two shots somewhere half year ago. But I'm not really fascinated about idea getting third, fourth shot and so on. Tow is already enough for me.
I got Covid19 last week, so, they won't be able to force to take vaccine in upcoming 6 or 7 months. or maybe few months longer if I will have antibodies after it.
But then, I don't really know what to do. I don't want to take vaccine at all, but also I don't want to be basically isolated from living normal life or leave job.
Rebel, I doubt it's going to help. From all these protests against covid restrictions around Europe, did they achieved something?
Flee? Ok, where?
Pay fine for not taking vaccine. Probably it's going to be big, but that's not main issue. Even if you will pay fine, without taking vaccine they won't let you to live normal life with all these restrictions.
If they really will make vaccine mandatory, I'm sure that big Black Market for covid passports will appear.
3054  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature campaigns and some discussion about seo on: December 02, 2021, 11:17:35 PM
Is it even worth it now? Should I pay someone for this?
If it wouldn't be worth, then probably we wouldn't have double digit number of campaigns running here. Especially these long term campaigns running here for few years - if companies putting money into it for long time, probably it means that sig campaigns delivers result for them and they're happy with it.
If everything is set up properly, I think it's definitely worth it.
3055  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is this exchange legit? on: December 02, 2021, 10:28:16 PM
Well, this website don't even look seriously. No name website with .xyz domain claiming to be ''The world's leading digital asset trading platform''. And scammers don't even try seriosuly because how else you would explain such thing:

And also, Gmail for contacts. There is more than enough red flags.

yeh, I guess don't be so stupid is the moral of the story.

I found it through a chick I met on tinder. Damn, I did not see that scam coming. Should have done though. Women are always my downfall.
I know tha's already too late and probably you already learned from your mistake, but Tinder isn't best place to look for stuff related with money, even if nice chick is offering it.
3056  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Primeira Liga (Portuguese League) 2021/22 Season on: December 02, 2021, 09:52:02 PM
We are gooing to have big match on Friday. Benfica at home is going to meet Sporting. Sporting together with Porto remaining undefeated and they are 1 point ahead from Benfica. I don't know why exactly, but bookmakers considering Benfica as clear favorite tomorrow, giving 1.75 for their win.
In other game tomorrow Porto will come to Portimonense. Quite unexpected, Portimonense started this season very well and they're in 6th place now. Though, I don't have doubts about Porto win.
3057  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Covid lessons learned on: December 02, 2021, 09:30:53 PM
Honestly speaking, I don't think that people have learned any lesson from this Covid-19 pandemic.
Most of us just took it as normal fever. Which have caused a more rapid spreading. Some people have followed the SOPs for covid but many others didn't.
Yes, I do agree that socialization is important, as 'Man is a social animal' but precautionary measurements are also important. The first lesson we need to learn is how to be alive than the other lessons.

I think it's normal thing that people accepted it as fever. How they had to react? It's not a plague after all. Offcourse, people could fear of each other and avoid any social contact, but it's not an option. Even when strict lockdowns were enforced, it only reduced spread of virus, but not completely stopped it. I think that's simply impossible to completely stop spread of virus
There is phrase that people should learn to live with virus, but I'm not sure what is correct way to do that. Making lockdown despite having over 80% of population vaccinated like in Netherlands doesn't look good. Or mandatory vaccination like in Austria... I doubt that now decision which would be good for everyone exists...
3058  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: December 02, 2021, 09:17:40 PM
Something is seriously wrong with Roma man, agh! I made a big multibet, and Roma was the SMALLEST odds but I thought come on for sure they can rack an easy win especially if the odds are so low away, then it means they are the huge favorites.

But guess what, they prove me wrong again. Goodbye to top 4 man.
Roma is one of teams that I avoid betting on this season. They didn't started bad, but now they're not consistent at all. When they lost 6:1 in Europe, I said to myself - that's enough for me.
I would say same thing about other team from Rome - Lazio. They don't look good this season. I made bet on them against Udinese and guess what, result is 3:3 with 20 minutes remaining and Lazio with 10 men on the pitch.
@casperBGD, wouldn't be surprised if he will be sacked during season. But probably as always happens with Mou, he would get a lot of money if such thing would happen.

And of course we get a game like that when I take Lazio ML instead of usual BTS.
At least I'm not alone, bro Wink.
3059  Other / Politics & Society / Re: When will the vaccination end? on: December 02, 2021, 08:53:15 PM
Vaccination isn't going to end anytime soon. Seems that some European countries is moving towards mandatory vaccination. Austria already enforced it from Februrary 1st, Germany probably is going to vote on it, European Commission president von der Leyen said that EU countries should debate on this topic:
https://www.euronews.com/2021/12/02/are-countries-in-europe-are-moving-towards-mandatory-vaccination
For me it seems that most things which were marked as conspiracy theories in the start of vaccination is slowly turning into reality. First they said that vaccination will be free choice, now it's turning int mandatory thing. Or children vaccination - first they called conspiracy theory, now it's already thing.
And question, how many shots will be enough. For example, my country ordered somewhere about 16 millions shots when our population is way bellow 3 millions. You can do maths yourself. But I feel that after it it won't be end already
3060  Economy / Services / Re: Cyber Monday VPN Deals via bitcoin on: December 01, 2021, 10:06:20 PM
Mam, you're a bit too late, Cyber Monday already ended few days ago. I see that some deals is still available, but you have to hurry up.
From your options Purevpn have better price, but I don't like such long subscriptions - 5 years is way too long for me.
Personally, I use Nordvpn and now they're offering 2 years plan for €2.80/month (Not sure how much exactly in $).
BTW, price shouldn't be only factor. Good VPN shouldn't keep logs, number of server locations also matters.
