3041  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is bitcoin worth so much ? on: July 06, 2020, 11:47:24 PM
Bitcoin is the first representative of the cryptocurrency market, it is also the standard for determining the value of coins later. It is more like and has many advantages over gold, the value cannot be measured while the supply is limited.

why should doubt the existence of bitcoin, I totally agree with you that bitcoin is the main market for crypto. bitcoin has become a prima donna for highly sought-after investments because apart from leaving out all altcoin is affected by the movement of bitcoin. There is no altcoin that can control without the encouragement of bitcoin, so we can be sure that bitcoin is very reliable and suitable to be the main investment. although do not neglect to the top altcoin which is also quite good.
Yes. A lot of new altcoins are already in the market but still, nothing can beat bitcoin. Bitcoin is worth so much because it is the very first crypto that has gained the interest and trust of people and even after its 10 years of existence, it's value still remain high compared to other crypto coins. Although bitcoin is also bound to be a global currency soon, still people consider it as the best asset or investment for now.
3042  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO SCAM on: July 06, 2020, 11:26:00 PM
very difficult to identify ico scam. we can only see it when the bounty is over, and see how the developper will manage the project. because at the end of this ico period is the most important moment, namely distribution and also token listing.
it's not so difficult thing as long as you must try to see what already experienced by others with the scam icos. So many people have been mentioning the right point about what you should take a look at before try to invest in the ico.
The scam ico will always offer too good to be true idea.
Yes. Do not be easily lured by those too good to be true promises or else you will end up being scammed too. I think the best way to avoid scam ICOs is still making a deep research on the background of the project. If you cannot do it, then better stay away from investing in ICOs and invest only in bitcoin which i'm sure you can totally make profit from it.
3043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you wish you could do the most with your Bitcoin? on: July 03, 2020, 08:56:37 PM
I would like to pay my bills and grocery with it. I know that everything else is still a big chunk of my income, however if I could pay my bills with bitcoin and if I can pay the food and other similar stuff you buy from grocery store (health stuff, shampoo, cleaning stuff etc) that means 50% of my income could stay in bitcoin and I could pay that with it.

Or better yet I want a proper bank type of thing for bitcoin where it is not prepaid cards, it is not third party organization for a bank, like actually a bitcoin independent place where we can get a bitcoin card which we can spend wherever we want to without trouble. That is actually what is the most important adoption part we are missing right now, if we can handle that, we can handle all the rest and spend it anywhere we want.
I think what you have said are almost the same with what others want to do with their bitcoin. Even myself i would really want to spend bitcoin anywhere i go and buy all the things i want with it. But these things might not be possible at the moment since most of the people here are considering it more of an asset or investment that should be kept for a higher value in the next days or months.
3044  Economy / Economics / Re: Is global adoption of Bitcoin possible post-Covid? on: July 03, 2020, 08:36:16 PM
I think your points are valid and that in the case things go like you've stated, bitcoin can be seen as a solution for several of those problems, nevertheless bitcoin is already a solution for a lot of the world problems and we don't see adoption happening anytime soon...
I agree with the user that said that adoption will come with or without the chaos, it can simply happen with the natural evolution of economy...
Yes. Global adoption for bitcoin will eventually happen but it will just take more time for it to be possible. For now, i don't see chances that this will happen with this pandemic time or post covid but hopefully in the future. But i must say that this pandemic has opened the eyes of a millions of people into crypto world and all its advantages that most of them didn't even know before.
3045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Forget bounties and Airdrops on: July 03, 2020, 04:26:55 PM
The biggest money making slot in crypto space is to be

1. a developer
2. build crypto wallets for new projects
3. find bugs in the system of many new projects

yes some paid for security breaching and all that stuff, rendering professional services is the best way to make money in crypto space now

But the three things that you mentioned can only be done by professional people and have high skills. At least they must master computer software. While the members of this forum vary greatly, ranging from high-level intelligent, to those who do not understand language.  So I think what is in this forum is also very needed variations. Both in terms of the project bounty, airdrop, and others.
Yes. Those things will also need a bigger capital and you should also deal it with more focus and intelligence. And i think they can't cater to the need of the mass. While bounties and airdrops can create jobs to those who are jobless and if they are lucky enough, they can make huge rewards from it. Although a lot of scam bounties and airdrops have been appearing today, still hunters chose to be hopefull that one day altcoins will have its hype again.
3046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty managers can do better on: July 03, 2020, 03:59:49 PM
You have a point, not bad at all if bounty managers can start knowing project team very well before accepting their offer but don't expect that all bounty managers can do this, it's not really to manage a bounty campaign trust me

It's not easy I guess that's your point, and yes it's not but it's an obligation of BM to also know the
team he's working with to make sure that it won't runaway.
If the manager will closely deal with the team behind the project and ask for the portion of the actual
budget for the bounty and let escrow to hold the fund
It will assure all the participants to receive their rewards, the talked between BM and the developing
teams are very important.
Trust always bring investors to support the project, if BM and developers established trust it will make
the participants to work well and advertise or even invest as well.
You really have a good point. If they can build trust to one another, it's very possible that the project will come out successful and bounty hunters will surely receive their fair shares. I think it's not a guarantee that once you end up joining a campaign with a reputable bounty manager, the project will turn out legit. There are really things that come up uncontrolled even how reputable the bounty manager is.

Done betting Cool, use eth instead of btc because of high transaction fee atm on transferring bitcoin.

Unfortunately, the streak has stopped as the Filipino lost his fight against a tall Albert Bell, at 6'0 and obviously take advantage by using his jab to make Mark Bernaldez very uncomfortable in the early going of the fight. And it was a shut out as all the 3 judges score the fight for Bell, 100-90.

https://www.boxingscene.com/albert-bell-easily-boxes-past-mark-bernaldez-decision-win--149928

Not bad on trying to get some luck, that odds was really attractive but it's very clear from the very beginning that Bell has a bigger chance of winning since he is the heavy favorite, if it resulted to an upset, that could have give @bisdak40  a good return of his bet.
Just the breaks of the game mate, @bisdak40 take the risk again, but it didn't went his way. Just another day for a gambler. I haven't seen the fight myself, but just looking at the physical stats on paper, the Filipino is really at a dis-advantage but I'm sure the Filipino warrior mentality and did try his best. Good learning experience for him though. We don't know, we might hear from this Mark Bernaldez in the future.
We can clearly see that the bid advantage is on the opponent, but we know Filipinos are good in boxing and yet they are still underrated. Just like Manny Pacquiao when he started fighting in the US, he was also an underrated until he keep proving and now he gain the respect from the oddsmaker, it's very rare now to see him being an underdog but if we bet on him during the early days of his career, we could be making easy money.
3048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: July 03, 2020, 12:11:14 PM
Slowly and slowly as more and more sports events start taking place, betting will increase. There are many people that place bets on sports events without evening having an interest in that particular sport as odds are available for many aspects of the game (goals scored, sent off, total corners etc).

I am worried about the impact the lock down has had on vulnerable people that might have started gambling and turned it in to an addiction.

I am also glad that in many countries once again started to allow the conduct of sports matches. This will show people that they need to stop being afraid and get used to living the same life.
Don't worry about dependent people. They never stopped playing. Some of them played in online casinos, others played in illegal casinos.

It's what I'm waiting, sports will resume then I would also resume betting.
This month we will witness the resumption of the NBA, that should be a big thing for the million of fans and millions of bettors worldwide. Also, it's gonna generate money not only for businesses but for the economy so they should resume even if they have to play without a crowd.
3049  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING ]: Fury vs Wilder III in Las Vegas on 18th July 2020 !!! on: July 03, 2020, 10:18:33 AM
So it's official that this fight has been rescheduled as they want to have a crowd to generate more income  Smiley. I hope that by December, vaccine is already developed so thing will get back to normal. not just in boxing but to all other sports as well.

https://www.boxingscene.com/fury-wilder-3-arum-crossing-fingers-he-crowd-on-december-19--149905
Kinda expected though that this fight will be rescheduled because of what is happening in US right now Cheesy.

Lets just hope that at that time, a vaccine has been made although the minimum time frame for a new vaccine to be created is around 12-18 months so there is still a bit chance that a vaccine can't be created by December. Hoping to have a new virus by December although I'm not expecting Cheesy.

I am not optimistic about a vaccine created and released by December. Also, if there is a vaccine on December, I hope it will not be made in China hehehe. Do not be the test guinea pigs.

Probably the vaccine will came from EU or US, I reckon. Anyways, I'm optimistic that in the next quarter, at least a potential vaccine could be developed so that everything will be back to normal. As far as the fight goes, it's the most anticipated fight, and lets hope that a fight could be made at the end of the year or early 2021.

I don't think the vaccine will be produce this year, most of the news or reports I read online saying that the vaccine is expected to be available early next year, and also I haven't read any news  a certain country guarantees a vaccine release this year, even Trump did not promise this year.

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/06/05/trump-says-us-has-2-million-coronavirus-vaccine-does-ready-to-go.html
Quote
U.S. officials and scientists are hopeful a vaccine to prevent Covid-19 will be ready in the first half of 2021.

For me fiat is not looking that strong as a long term investment. They are throwing bundles of it in the toilet
Newbie question Cheesy. I'm only invested in stocks and crypto as of this moment. Can you invest fiat for the long term?? If yes how Smiley. By holding it something like that?
I'm not that interested on it but I'm quite curious about it though.
The only way you'll the value of your money is if it hits by an inflation, if the countries economy is doing better then you can invest on fiat, but if not, better think of investing in other assets as we don't want to experience what Zimbabwe and Venezuela are are experience due to hyper inflation.
3052  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Day Trading: How to Get Started & How to Win on: July 02, 2020, 05:54:13 PM
Not all who come into trading has a good start, instead, they struggled first before they got where they are today. But somehow, many also had suffered losses and quit because they never understand how trading could be, and probably it happens to anyone else.
I know a lot of people wanted to be a trader but one thing to remember first, get prepared yourself and willing to learn. Trading can't be learned in one day or two, or even a week that is why we don't by tomorrow we can make money already because it won't that work easily. Besides, most starters have suffered losses than gaining.
This one is a good tip for all newbies and that they should be prepared first before making such day trading. Day trading is little bit risky than long term trading so it needs to be deal more from a professional or expert trader. But i believe with experience, everything can be learned in there. Just know the fact that day trading will not make you a wealthy man instantly. It's a very long process and you need to deal it more in a positive way.
3053  Economy / Economics / Re: The Covid19 Curve is Flattening on: July 02, 2020, 05:30:30 PM
COVID-19 case still continues to increase in some areas just like in our place, the spread is getting worse that even some establishments resume their business operations but still, the sales are not looking good. This pandemic certainly affects the stock market, lives of the people, and more on economic capability. But despite these things, I saw a positive impact on the online business which we can find out an increase of online users and business that brought something in good. And perfectly a time for a crypto to be recognized and people will adopt in this.
Yeah I've noticed too how many online projects has risen during this time and crypto got a lot more attention than it usually gets.
We still can't say that this is the "flat" part of the hill, it may occur that there will be next even more greater wave of it, but we hope for the best of course.
If corona virus will continue to spread even more, our economy will also continue to strive hard in order not to be totally shut down. People are already encouraged to work not just offline but even online because it seemed that online opportunities have opened up more in this time of pandemic. People have become stronger now to face the crisis even if it means facing another incoming wave of corona virus.
3054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Short suggestion and situation on: July 02, 2020, 12:25:20 PM
From what I see in the current situation, I can understand that it is most convenient to make money online from home !! It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. I thought it would take another month for graduation to end and then I would go out looking for a job but now what I see is that I have to make the house my job! So I'm trying to do something online !! And I think this will be suitable for everyone who does not want to sit !!

Join with altcoin is the best.

Nowadays there are tons of opportunities to make money in the comfort of home. If you any got special skills which you can monetize then you can also give sites like Fiverr and freelancer a try those two sites helped me a lot to get some freelance jobs.
Yes. With this pandemic, a lot of people who have lost their jobs are looking for opportunities online in order to sustain their family needs. Crypto trading and investing is really a good revenue for those who are looking for a good income even if it means taking the risks. And with the help of internet, everything can be learned through google and there are also free demos that will develop our own skills in crypto trading and investing.
3055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers, the biggest crypto problem on: July 02, 2020, 12:07:04 AM
I totally agreed. With the appearance of cryptographic forms of money, there are a great deal of tricksters and scammers here. This is fundamentally because of the way that they are sure about their exemption. Furthermore, it isn't known when government offices will start to arraign such individuals and whether this is conceivable, in light of the fact that digital forms of money are mysterious. Most of the scammers using the platform social media posts of reputed company as a comments through with Btc address, if you send .5 btc to this address you will get 10 btc worth of that platforms coin. most of the users unaware send them .5 btc. they will absconded.
Sad to see how you and others are agreeing to the topic. Scammers are everywhere. What about those scammers that scam using your fiat money? You guys are acting like people now use only bitcoin or other crypto currencies to scam others.
If someone is this stupid for falling for scams like money multiplier, then they deserve to get scammed.
Scammers are very rampant everywhere not only in crypto market but even in fiat too. If they can see chances to exploit money from other people, they will surely use their best strategies to make it possible. But in crypto, we can still make some precautions to avoid being scam and that is to be responsible of our own account. We should always secure the privacy and security of our own accounts and be careful to keep our own passwords secretly.
3056  Economy / Economics / Re: How in the world we going to restart the world economy ? on: July 01, 2020, 11:56:44 PM
Some countries have begun to open lockdowns and quarantines, so the economy can restart again. Because the world economy has been
destroyed by pandemic, many people run out their savings to buy their daily needs. Even though the pandemic is not over, because it is
up to no vaccine has been found yet. However, the economy must start running again, and therefore people are allowed to work again. But
by continuing to implement health protocols, such as always wearing a mask, keeping a distance from others and washing hands frequently.
the fact that happens on the ground that doing work activities and continuing to use masks is very uncomfortable, this is why millions of people are lazy to use masks when working and doing outdoor activities..  the current crisis will not be completed if the vaccine has not been found.  the vaccine or the possibility of the fastest treatment for COVID-19 patients is one of our hopes to stop the crisis caused by this "PANDEMIC"..
We have no choice but to keep ourselves safe by wearing masks and observe social distancing especially when we are in outdoors. The world's economy is now going to collapse if the government cannot assess the needs of their citizens and continue losing the jobs of millions of people. But if the government will help these people by offering jobs to have their own sources if income, then i think the world's economy will start to recover again.
3057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good ICO vs Bad ICO on: July 01, 2020, 10:22:35 PM
The reputation of the manager can't be a good factor to determine how trusted the project. Sometimes the good bounty managers can also get a crap project or even scam project. It's better for the newbies to keep focusing into the reputation of project.
You are right, even we can see a lot of big managers like Artezy and wapinter also holding too many project scams. A manager is an ordinary person who makes money like a bounty hunter. who pays them will be done. no matter they will scam or not.
But there are still bounty managers who like to protect their good reputation so they won't take scam projects that might only ruin them. Yes they are just ordinary people like bounty hunters but they can be a good source of courage for bounty hunters to keep going and continue making profits.
3058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it just me or there are others who have same thoughts? on: July 01, 2020, 04:20:37 AM
Dumps are something a new or old crypto project can't escape, since all coins are designed to be volatile it will surely happen at one point in time, all you have to be aware of is the project use case before promoting, consider checking it's use case very well, if the use case is very useful the token or coin will easily recover
Yes, thats exactly one part of the price of crypto being more secured, decentralized and private.
Is it a thing for crypto to overcome somehow - Idk honestly
If the project is really useful, their tokens might still have chances to dump but later on, it's value will recover again. This is not new to bounty projects nowadays and even bounty hunters are already used to it. But with thousands of bounty projects in the market, bounty hunters still try their luck hoping in the end they can receive rewards tokens that are of better value.
3059  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the US economy suddenly recovering? on: June 30, 2020, 11:58:33 PM
I agree with you.
All of us had suffered big losses and even though US has a lot of resources but I can't think they can recover shortly. In fact, many experts say that the global economic status will be getting worse if the situation won't start to flatten. The more this virus spreads, the more it prolongs the recovery of the economy. It surely US will recover sooner (the same with the others) but not this time and not a good idea for them to fully resume business operations and lifestyle in order to make a huge recovery otherwise the crisis will still continue and it getting worse in their place.

Not only US had suffered but the rest of the countries are totally affected by covid 19 pandemic. But since most of the lockdows are already lifted, people are starting going out and those who have still jobs to return are already working again. I am expecting this already that US economy will still recover but not as quick like this. Country might not even recover even a year after but i'm glad that things are starting to go back to its new normal.
3060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is This True or Scam? on: June 30, 2020, 11:41:39 PM
At this time, only a foolish person will believe and granted airdrop as profitable. What these people had offered is not only suspicious but it was a scam.
Someone asking you to send a few ETH then expects big returns after a few minutes? Even they'll say 24 hours, still no such thing to be real but all of these are a lie and fake promises.
This is a true scam and if we care about our self and money, better ignore this kind of offerings. These people have no interest to pay such gains but only to accumulate deposits then disappear.
You don't have to think twice because this one is definitely a scam. No one would dare to give you profits like this in just a very easy way. Stay away from this kind of airdrops that offers things like this. Everything should be work hard to make money in airdrops and its very seldom today to find a legit airdrop because of a lot of scams that are very rampant these days.
