3061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who else uses move to earn apps for the same reasons I do? on: July 30, 2023, 02:56:50 AM
Ones I have tried weren't available where I live, and they require so many permissions, being privacy conscious I do not feel safe giving them right to access.
3062  Economy / Economics / Re: The gloomy light called subsidy. on: July 29, 2023, 03:41:13 AM
All subsidies eventually gets removed, when it does, citizens just pay normal price. Basic needs can't be escaped whether there subsidy or not.
3063  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A Mobile App for Bitcointalk forum??? on: July 28, 2023, 05:05:35 AM
I am sure this has been discussed a few times here on the forum and I am against it as the forums work perfectly fine in the browser on your phone.
It's an Old SMF Forum however the mobile responsiveness is there. So I don't think we need a dedicated app just to access Bitcointalk. If someone from the community wants to make one with some mods, go ahead.

Yes it's responsive but you constantly need to zoom in-out, there are settings in browser with which you force site to condense in screen but that rather looks ugly.
3064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin, Dogecoin Gain After Musk's Tweets, But Will There Be Another Bull Run? on: July 27, 2023, 11:28:27 AM
If you think over you'd understand, compare it to flat-line in ecg.
Okay, as you're so smart, then can you explain me how bull and bear market are functioning? What is the main cause of coins movement and how do experts make predictions of these movements?

I don't think you are actually looking for explanation with the language you are using.
The easiest way is to go away from the discussion. That only proves my words that you know actually nothing Smiley and just losing my time. As I came here for some real help and explanation from people that are in crypto for a long time.

Yeah, you had no need to reply and waste any further of your time. Nonetheless, if you check back your first response you were the one who were hostile for no reason — if you don't understand my statement, then ask nicely.
3065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed can cause a lost bet, (true or false) on: July 27, 2023, 03:16:21 AM
Greed is a negative emotion, hence it's results are always negative. Learn to identify and don't be carried away by it.
Please permit me to reason from the other angle of discussion. How about if a gambler is greedy and such greed leads the gambler into winnings.  Such that the more greedy he becomes, the more he wins. What do we call such a scenario or do we argue that such a scenario doesn't exist.

I don't think such scenario is possible, greed will eventually lead to losses.

3067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [HDN] Hydranet - The Worlds First Layer 3 DEX. Trade with next to ZERO fees! on: July 26, 2023, 08:45:34 AM
This one is a hidden gem, the potential here is massive, considering it's insanely low marketcap still. If it gets a marketcap similar to Uniswap eventually, you're looking at $26/token, and that's in a bear market Wink

You know such comparisons happen pretty often, compare some new thing with already established one and make price predictions according to that. However, rarely do such projects last. Let's see how long Hydranet does.
3068  Economy / Services / Re: 🚀GET VIRAL ON REDDIT !🚀 UPVOTES & KARMA SERVICE ! ✅ on: July 25, 2023, 05:00:58 AM
It's easy to farm karma on reddit even genuinely. Reddit is huge place, join subs you are interested in, comment what comes into your mind.
3069  Economy / Gambling / Re: WebSport.io - Dex Sports Betting on: July 25, 2023, 04:39:04 AM
I think people are misunderstanding DEX term here, what op meant is 1) The site uses decentralized login system 2) When you deposit funds, instead of being held by a particular entity, they are held in smart contracts which can be interacted even if the front-end goes down and these contracts will last as long as base chain will last (here in case, BSC) unlike in traditional casino where you are at complete mercy of casino.

Although, security of smart contract still needs to verified, hopefully devs will publish audit from reputable firm.
3070  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Help to rescue on: July 25, 2023, 04:06:02 AM
I have a friend who is in the same situation as you, although for him, Dot did increase after his purchase but he did not sell and now he's significantly down. What he's doing now is staking, it should increase his holding to some extent, at least in terms of DOT and if DOT rises a good amount in dollars, that should be a nice profit.

3072  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: As a gambler do you have a potential winning amount limit? on: July 24, 2023, 05:03:40 AM
My main focus on this thread is in this question: as a gambler do you place your bet according to the weight of your financial need or you're always okay with whatever amount that comes out as potential win no matter how small amount?

I wouldn't gamble at all with a financial need hanging over my head, high chances you will lose whatever you have got. I'd prefer 2nd.
3073  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could XRP win in SEC case be a start for next bull run? on: July 24, 2023, 04:47:14 AM
Bear markets are influenced by negative events, while the other way around for bull, both depending on significant 'base' event, paving way for further.

I believe this xrp ruling could be start of the next bull run, and we will be seeing positive events from now on. Halving is also coming which should propel up the market as well. What do you think?

I think by themselves events like xrp win and bitcoin halving will not have any global impact on the market. We can only count on some localized pump that won't allow to update the ath of the market or ath of these cryptocurrencies. Until liquidity starts flowing into the market, there will be no bullrun. What could be the catalyst to bring liquidity to the crypto industry? Halving bitcoin? Not likely. Rather, some global changes, such as bitcoin being legalized in a number of countries, lifting the ban on cryptocurrencies in some countries, improvement of the economic situation in the world, lower inflation, etc.

You make sense. And if you think about it, this case ruling appears to have at least caused some positive light to the cryptos deemed as securities, hence the pump. News sentiments these days are either positive (they aren't that big to bring significant liquidity but positive nonetheless) or neutral these days, better off negative I guess.
3074  Other / Meta / Re: How Can We Identify Someone Who Uses AI? on: July 23, 2023, 03:43:49 AM
The use of AI to make a quality post is a big offense in this Forum and I believe we still have members who are still doing as we speak.
I can't tell why they do it or is it because of how the high ranked members preach so much about making quality post before you earn merit that's the cause of people using AI to post or is there something we need to know that's the cause of breaking this rule.
How can we wash off this ill behavior? Because I know the offenders know it's not good and they know the implications if found doing it. What's the best thing to do to stop the use of AI from going on in this Forum?
Perhaps just follow your instinct?

<cut>

Or double check with tools like zerogpt [1], I have tried copy-pasting from ai there and it detected well, and rarely what I wrote by myself. I tried couple others, but they even detected my own written content as ai so I discarded them.

3075  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How was your first experience with gambling? on: July 23, 2023, 03:07:21 AM
I started sports betting back in directbet days, around 2013/'14 on IPL. BTC was around $150 at that time, and I used bet $10-$20, eventually I lost it all but I remember having adrenaline rush while watching games.

Then there was hiatus, got back for some time to sheer gambling games like dice and card games (they are somewhat better than dice but still), I made profit and felt like making certain amount daily which of course didn't work out, realized futility of gambling and now I'm staying far away from gambling.

Gambling is a game that has an addictive effect. Most people who have joined gambling sites will find it difficult to get out of the gambling circle. It doesn't matter how much you lose at gambling, as long as we still have money, we will continue to gamble.

100%.
3076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the largest meme coin ever? on: July 23, 2023, 02:58:47 AM
You're forget with Bone ShibaSwap, Dogelon Mars, Doge Killer, and Dejitaru Tsuka where all of them are shitcoins.

There are countless modifications of Doge, Shiba, Pepe — there is no need to list all of them.

To op — I haven't invested in any meme token, so I don't have any profitable coin per se, but if I were to choose it will Doge because it's father of meme coins, just like Bitcoin is to crypto.
3077  Economy / Economics / Re: What are some financial secrets that you know of? on: July 22, 2023, 07:18:43 AM
Full-fill your wants with interest that comes out of your investments, make money while you sleep. If hard work were to equal to wealth, the workers would be richest.
3078  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think selling your property is better than taking loan? on: July 22, 2023, 07:16:16 AM
If it's only property I have that gives me roof then of course loan is preferable whereas if I have couple, the extra one will go first. I try to stay away from loans as much as possible.
3079  Economy / Economics / Re: How is financial stability defined for you? on: July 22, 2023, 07:14:33 AM
How would I define? Whenever there is need/want, I can fulfill it that very moment without worrying about balance in my bank account.
3080  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The Big Decentralized Alts (DOGE, LTC and XMR) - Speculation on: July 21, 2023, 03:18:31 PM
I love doge just because it doesn't have any use lol, that aside, due to it's 1 doge transfer fees I use it as middle ground on instant exchanges. I think ltc also has low fee but doge gets confirmed faster on local exchange I transfer to. Doge memes counts a little as well.

I would possibly never go further than using them for quick transfers (doge, ltc.. have never used xmr).
