3061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best coins to short as hedge on: December 26, 2021, 10:15:05 AM
I'm thinking perhaps Solana as it's so high, but its direct competitors (Avax, Luna, Polkadot are better in essence)
Avoid high market caps. And I don't also suggest Solana since if you will take a look at a higher timeframe and use such moving averages, it's still above on it (this is how I look at the market structure for long term).
Remember that it's not mean that an altcoin is currently high price or reached a peak, it is considerable for a short position. Well, just my 2 cents as I am not countering the trend.
3062  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to buy and sell NFT? on: December 26, 2021, 10:05:27 AM
There are a lot of platforms these days, and some also differ with the chain.
After Binance added the NFT marketplace to their platform, other exchanges already started too, just like FTX Exchange which already has an NFT marketplace same with Binance.

Overall, I will go for on-chain transactions without using any centralized entity like centralized exchanges.
3063  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A lot of the Really Popular Fast and Cheap Blockchain are Centralized on: December 26, 2021, 09:55:31 AM
I agree decentralization is very difficult to handle as this alternative of Ethereum started to pop these days.
I saw on Twitter before a discussion about, "It is much better to solve scalability than decentralization", it hits hard me. Because as we all know, Ethereum is currently top 1 for smart contracts platform and a lot of people are complaining because of expensive transaction fees.

For me, this alternative of Ethereum is helping Ethereum temporarily to not clog too much the network but overall, the fee is high if you are just a normal user.
3064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why such high on tron chain too on: December 26, 2021, 09:50:37 AM
Remember that if you are interacting with smart contact, the transaction is way higher compared to normal transactions sending TRON -> TRON or other TRC20. This is the same with Ethereum network.
This is the same case with Binance Smart Chain (BSC) before when there's a time that even on Binance Smart Chain which become alternative of Ethereum transaction fee spiked.
3065  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to find Airdrop or ICO project? on: December 26, 2021, 09:43:43 AM
Before, there are tons of announcements you can see on the altcoin section of this forum, but there are still some who are using the altcoin section as announcement of their airdrop.
But for me, you can try to use Twitter and follow different people or Twitter handle that is about airdrop or news about a particular network, for example, Solana, if you will just search on Twitter, you will see a lot of Twitter users that are related with Solana, there are some Twitter account that is for news, and you try to follow that.
3066  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You don't need to hodl a particular coin all your life on: December 26, 2021, 02:24:00 AM
(......)
I didn't tell you to sell your bitcoin and not to buy again. I only say you sell the bull and buy the bear  Grin
This is very easy to say but difficult to achieve, like how you will know it's bull and if it's bear? There are a lot of things that need to consider.
Another thing is, taking profits is always not a bad move, I like what you said above about using your profits to buy some potential altcoins. But you should not get carried away or overconfident, because maybe you did buy at the wrong time.
Sometimes also you don't need to diversify your funds because if you just selected 1 coin and sized in, you are good.
3067  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Technical aspect in trading on: December 25, 2021, 03:02:11 PM
With that loss, for sure you already learn something that will help you to be a good trader. Learn from your mistakes.
First, identify your mistakes, like where did you go wrong? Your entry? stop-loss?
How to avoid those mistakes, learning such technical analysis to help you not to do the same mistakes.

And the most important is risk management, do you have one? Because most of the failed traders, don't have. This is the most important, you should always have one to preserve your capital.
3068  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: December 25, 2021, 02:56:14 PM

Here's a quick recap of records for these boxers. As you can see, their records for their careers are extremely close, Kieth Thurman is only ahead of 3 wins, both of them got 1 loss.
But the height and reach, Mario Barrios got the advantage which for me this is the significant advantage for him even the record or experience is got by Kieth Thurman.

I'm looking forward for the fair odds for this fight, I'm betting for Mario Barrios this time.
3069  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull or Bear Market? on: December 25, 2021, 02:47:37 PM
Let's say if next will be bear market, how dip it could possibly go before bouncing?
Because on a previous bear market, we saw more than 60% drop from All-time-high of 2017-2018, and for quite a time, we experienced bear market and huge drop, and high volatile.
So, this time it could be more different? That's for me, it does not matter to me if ever we will experience a bear market anymore because I don't believe we will experience again more than 60% drop as the market is slowly growing, volume is increasing.
3070  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Web 3.0 metaverse projects on: December 25, 2021, 02:45:12 PM

This is a helpful image for easy-to-understand web3. As you can see on the image, web3 shows "decentralization" compare to web 1 and web 2 which is most (probably all) are centralized, controlled by a central entity or company.
There are already a lot of examples for web3 right now, that some people already using, most of them are ofcourse using blockchain, cryptocurrencies involved.
3071  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should you sell ethereum and btc to buy Solana/SOL? on: December 25, 2021, 02:41:08 PM
There is already a lot of alternative with Ethereum right now, one of the most popular is Solana as it is a layer 1 protocol and very unique as it is different from other EVM compatible.

I am also a supporter of Solana since starting of 2021 as I am using most of the platforms under Solana especially their DeFi platforms, yield farming, staking, and NFT platforms. Ethereum for me is for whales only as transaction fees are quite expensive but this does not mean I don't support Ethereum anymore, this is just a temporary problem of Ethereum for me.
3072  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proof of work vs proof of stake? Why can't i STAKE my BTC? on: December 25, 2021, 02:34:15 PM
There are already a lot of ways to stake your Bitcoin these days, but you will use another chain, not the Bitcoin network alone.
There is some alternative chain where you can wrapped your Bitcoin to a particular chain, like in Ethereum/Solana/Avax/BSC, what will happen is you will bridge your assets from one chain to another, for example, the Bitcoin, you will bridge it to Ethereum network and now you can use your Bitcoin as wrapped to Ethereum network.
Then this time, there is some platform that offers staking wrapped Bitcoins, and now you get incentives.
3073  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which part of Bitcoin do you think it's the hardest to understand? on: December 25, 2021, 01:33:54 PM
For me, as a normal user of Bitcoin, nothing more especially if you know the basics, how to send Bitcoin, how the transaction or fees work, and different kinds of bitcoin wallet, or bitcoin wallet addresses.

But on the other hand, since I am also a developer. The development that involved codes is the hardest for me, like creating some app that is related to Bitcoin or connecting/integrating some app to Bitcoin.
3074  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Satisfied what you gained with altcoins in 2021? on: December 25, 2021, 01:11:39 PM
Cryoto market was bullish from at beginning of this year and hit most of ATHs. still i can see, altcoins recovering themself and keep increasing. Almost each and every altcoins performed/performing well and it is expected that, everyone has made satisfactory gain in this year but there are also someone, whose's luck doesn’t flavour on those. Well so do you think, you are satisfied what you gained with your altcoins in 2021??
To be honest, I made a huge lot of profits for the year 2021 alone compared to the past few years since I started with cryptocurrency. It's really different now when you are well-knowledge, you know what to do. For the past few years and past bear market, I learned a lot of lessons and applied them for this year.

For the altcoins I invested past year or this year, most of them I already took profits, most are partial. Taking profits is not always a bad choice.
3075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to invest in a possible Bear market? on: December 25, 2021, 01:05:47 PM
There is a lot of yield farming or staking these days, especially if you will use stablecoins, it's safer because you will convert to stablecoins to avoid such volatility or worst bear market.

Another thing is if you are a fan of some altcoins, especially mid-low caps. It is much better to move them on high market caps coins such as Bitcoin or Ethereum. It is proven before that the percentage of drop for some high market cap coins is lesser or the bounce is high compared to some low market cap coins.
3076  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi wallet got activated today (Satoshi is back) on: December 24, 2021, 09:37:53 AM
So what now? If ever this is true or not, what can we do about it?
I saw a lot of people speculating that once the Satoshi wallet will be active, we can see a massive dump of the price.

But for me, I don't think so, it is possible but that's how Bitcoin works, how the wallet works, owner of the wallet got the decision at all.
Overall, it does not matter at all anymore.
3077  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: EMA vs. MA(SMA) on: December 24, 2021, 09:35:16 AM
EMA for me, but to be honest these two indicators are for moving averages, there is just a small difference for them. As I saw also on some traders, the most common indicator for moving average is EMA (Exponential Moving Average).
Overall, this is just an indicator, which will help you to decide and analyze the chart, it's like an ad-on for me because there are also a lot of things to consider just like @hugeblack said (Support and Resistance) which is I agree, I also want to add the volume and momentum.
But since we are talking the moving average, support and resistance is much relevant.
3078  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When Bull Market will Start on: December 24, 2021, 09:29:33 AM
For the past few months, most of the predictions I saw were on the bullish side, from 2021 up to the year 2022. Remember the famous model for Bitcoin price, the Stock 2 Flow model by @PlanB of Twitter, as it is expecting Bitcoin to reach $100,000 before on 2021 - 2022 range. So, for me, this is still a high chance of $100,000 for the year 2022.
But then again, don't over to confidence as we saw how to bear market on cryptocurrency affect the market.
3079  Economy / Trading Discussion / Futures Trading (Cross vs Isolated Margin) on: December 23, 2021, 11:48:50 AM
I want to ask which is your much prefer the platform to use when trading futures?

There are some trading platforms that you only need collateral (could be any cryptocurrency) and you can trade in futures without having particular pair like USDC/USDT.

For example, in Binance there is a Cross/Isolated margin;

If cross, your balance in your future wallet will be used all and possible to liquidate.

If isolated margin, only the amount you set when opening your trade will be liquidated.

And on Binance, you can only use USDT to deposit in USD-M.

On the other side, FTX Exchange which got a sub-accounts feature if you want to isolate your fund and you will transfer a fund to a particular sub-account if you only want specific funds to liquidate since FTX is using cross margin and the same leverage per sub-account.

So, for you? Which is much better if you already tried to use this kind of feature trading futures?
Sub-accounts or Binance like trading futures?
3080  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where I can check the crypto events calender? on: December 23, 2021, 11:35:44 AM
Expect from coinmarketcap where i can check about crypto events
Coinmarketcap got a section for this - https://coinmarketcap.com/events/
But for me, it's not really more information as it is not their main use, but you can still use it and use multiple platforms such as Coinmarketcal (much advisable).
There are a lot of new platforms now, I can add Coinpredictor (https://coinpredictor.io/calendar).

My advice is always to verify after using these kinds of platforms, like checking different social media or announcement platforms of every project you found, like checking their Twitter account or telegram or discord to verify if this platform listing is legit.
