2141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Myths that we often hear on: August 09, 2022, 10:57:09 PM
Myth 11: Feeling Lucky Means You’re Going to Win
>> Fact: Distorted beliefs about luck are a key mechanism in developing gambling addiction.
(....)
I can really relate here, you really can't control your hand, especially it is already itchy to gamble and that's the time you are very excited and you always keep thinking you are lucky, for me it will always come from our self, if you feel lucky, you are lucky if not you are not.
And yeah, I more agree with the fact, could be sign of gambling addiction too.
2142  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Preev.com appears to be down again! on: August 09, 2022, 10:52:36 PM
Preev.com is really down - You can check it here too: https://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/preev.com?proto=https

There are a lot of platforms just like Preev.com now, here's the list that can be used as an alternative to Preev.com;
https://coinmarketcap.com/converter/
https://bitsusd.com/
https://www.buybitcoinworldwide.com/satoshi/to-usd/
https://coinval.co/

and many more,
I just found them randomly on google. Some of them are based on average multiple exchanges or some of them are just using 1 exchange as 1 source of truth.
2143  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC make a new high in 2022? If not then what will be peak point? on: August 08, 2022, 01:56:46 AM
(.....)
My opinion is peak point of BTC in this year will be above 50K$. A good opportunity for Buyers. Your opinion will be acknowledged.
Yeah, seems a good number for the peak of this year, only a few months left before the year will end.
I am also expecting below this level, I'm not expecting Bitcoin will create a new all-time-high this year. With huge drop from all-time-high, dropping more than 50% is somehow difficult for Bitcoin to regain again and create new all-time-high in just a short period of time.
2144  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we at the bottom? no one knows, but market is doing fine. on: August 08, 2022, 01:40:12 AM
I can say that the market is already fine because of after the storm there's a rainbow.
Past few months on Bitcoin market was a bloody, not only on Bitcoin market but also on other markets.
The good thing here is Bitcoin is slowly pulling back and that's a healthy and natural one for me. I'm really positive for Bitcoin now especially recovering on short term period.
2145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Eth could take over BTC or not on: August 08, 2022, 01:38:19 AM
With PoS coming and Gas fee finally getting fixed do you think that Ethereum is capable of overtaking bitcoin? Oh also there will be max supply for Ethereum finally too, or is this expectation of mine way too high.
For me, this is impossible. This is already proven over time, even when Ethereum first started, most of the time Ethereum is always the number two highest market cap cryptocurrency.
About the upcoming update of Ethereum, Ethereum 2.0, you cannot guarantee that will be the key for Ethereum to become number 1.

Maybe in some aspects, Ethereum will number 1, just like the total transactions, transaction fees, etc.
You can track it here too: https://www.blockchaincenter.net/en/flippening/
2146  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Market Sentiment Infographic for August on: August 08, 2022, 01:32:13 AM
Beautiful chart! Short-term bullish on Bitcoin right now especially when the month of August started with Bitcoin staying above $20,000.
The month of August for me now is very bullish, few days ago I tried to short the market and most of my trades fail, it's very difficult to fight against the bulls  Cheesy
2147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador claim bitcoin attracts tourists right or wrong? on: August 08, 2022, 12:59:27 AM
For sure most tourists there are aware of El Salvador using Bitcoin as legal tender, they want to experience a country that is using Bitcoin as legal tender.
For me, I can consider legalizing Bitcoin to their country attracts tourists for sure. One of the many dreams of Bitcoin maximalists or using Bitcoin is to experience a place where you can really use Bitcoin just a normal payment everywhere.
2148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Solana still a thing? on: August 05, 2022, 03:37:15 AM
People should be more aware from now on, there are lots of potential blockchain projects, for example like Matic that @feeling sound said. Unlike Solana with their semi-decentral PoH (Proof-of-History) Cheesy. I also don't understand what actually happened in the Phantom and Slope cases, how can something like this happen in a non-custodial wallet. On Slope itself, their total users lost about $4.5M
(....)
The recent hacks on some Solana wallets are not Solana itself, they are a different thing. I also don't know why Solana got affected here or had a bad records to the public because the problem here is mainly on other platform who uses Solana just like Slope, which they had a hole that compromised the users who are using Slope wallet.
2149  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Btc not moving but we need every day some moves where the moves? on: August 05, 2022, 01:09:39 AM
You need pump as you say?

Go to the exchanges and trade and you'll have no control with pumps and dumps unless you're a whale and you're integrated with the other whales too.

I know that you know that the market is volatile and you can't force it to go according to what you like. It's not just going to happen even how hard you want and how hard you tell for it to pump.
(....)
with the dump and plummeting price considering that not all or almost of those coins turns out to be dead for a particular span of time and thats why majority doesnt really touch up these things.
Having the price of Bitcoin move normally is the best thing to become natural. For me, it's more healthy on the market if we don't see any high volatility like a massive dump or pump in just a short period of time. It will help the market to become stable and natural.
Having Bitcoin stay on sideways, it could be possible it is on accumulating area and after that it will go up or down.
2150  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trading more efficiently on: August 05, 2022, 12:57:17 AM
(....)
Right now I use bybit and when I want to see the chart and enter operations the background is black, I think for me it would be better white background...is there any way to change that? and the box to enter the orders is very small...is there any way to make that box bigger...in fact I do not look at the bybit chart...I look directly at the tradingview....
Bybit is one of the best platforms for me now. That's what I am using now, their mobile app is really nice and their user experience and user interface.
Another thing is don't really put a lot of time on these, you must also give time learning how to analyze charts, you can use that trading view, yes it is useful. Don't make things too much complicated when you can do it easily.
2151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum (ETH) TVL Spiked More Than $10 Billion in July on: August 05, 2022, 12:42:45 AM
It's like after the storms (dumps a few months ago), a lot of alternative Ethereum chains are also devastated and their TVL really dumped too.
In my own opinion, most people are starting to go back to Ethereum or some are moving there for some reason for sure, they trust Ethereum more and also about the upcoming updates on Ethereum for sure.
2152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saylor steps down as Microstrategy CEO on: August 05, 2022, 12:28:26 AM
...
And as Executive Chairman, he will focused himself to what he do best, "Bitcoin acquisition and strategy".
What are your thoughts on this moved?
(....)
A title does not make a man, and some people obviously overestimate what is hidden behind the abbreviation CEO.
Yeah, they really planned this very clearly, their company is a huge company, and a lot of people are relying on them even without the involvement of their stocks or Bitcoins.
franky1 is right, his example with Elon is almost the same with Michael Saylor.
Michael Saylor is still in the company, it's just in a different position, their Bitcoins are still there, as Saylor said, he can have more focus on Bitcoin things from their company.
2153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Whales Store Their BTC on: August 04, 2022, 12:47:45 PM
I believe they are not storing their funds in just one basket, having multiple wallets is a big help here, especially if you are whales and popular or well known in cryptocurrency.
Additional thing is they have other security precautions besides storing their Bitcoin or other way how their Bitcoins are safe beside storing it on some wallets.
2154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to BTC if China attack on Taiwan? on: August 04, 2022, 12:29:43 PM
As Taiwan is a China Territory. As Russia attack on Ukraine it effects the BTC mostly. My question is that how many others coin will affected if above said thing goes straight.
For me, it will become less effects on the Bitcoin market or other markets compared with what happened before.
I don't see any other reasons why Bitcoin will get affected by conflict with China and Taiwan now even China will attack Taiwan. Even though we all know China is a big country but these kinds of issues will become normal if not that really big or huge and the Bitcoin market will not be affected at all.
2155  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Little tip discovered for instant exchanges on: August 04, 2022, 12:21:34 PM
Solana!  Cheesy
Eveytime I see that name, it petrifies me. Just yesterday, there was another saga about the blockchain not forgetting its outages. I am not sure if I should personally consider it one of the top blockchain projects anymore

It has its fair share of problems(outages due to being spammed to death), but the first article was false. No post mortem for now, but it's highly likely to be because of Slope wallet. Pretty much a wallet exploit, which can happen to literally any other blockchain.
If we are just talking about some instant or cheap fees and fast transactions and forgot about what recently happened with Slope or Solana hack then Solana for me is a good choice or alternative.
There are already lot of platform on Solana that you can exchange different tokens to one another in just few clicks with small transaction fees and fast confirmation.

instead of guessing and making predictions avoid sitting on your hands and do nothing.
I have read a lot about crypto trading on the internet, lastly I found someone asking users who are engaged in successful crypto trading, not users who invest in crypto.

Question: the person.
What do you expect, if Bitcoin goes down to the level of $10k and what do you expect, if Bitcoin goes up to the level of $100k.....?
The answer: simple.
Bitcoin $10k or $100k is the same for us, we need to watch Bitcoin move every second/minute/hour and day, That's what we need to pay attention to properly, buying and selling methods that we have to learn, when to buy and when to sell Bitcoin.

From the user's answer, I conclude, if we understand the Bitcoin trading system/science it is worth doing, $10k in my opinion for those who make long-term investments.
Now that the price of Bitcoin is still low for anyone to buy and hold before it will hit $100,000 soon, because I don't think the price will decrease more than $19,000 before it will move higher in the market.
(.....)
We'll never know. Bitcoin has already proven even how dipped we are, there's still more dip, it's really unpredictable, that's how the market works especially in the cryptocurrency market where volatility is high. To be honest, there's still a huge chance it will drop below $19,000 because, in just the last few months, we experienced to drop of around $17,000 in just a short period of time, so everything is possible anytime.
2157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how much would someone need in Crypto this bear run to become a millionaire? on: August 03, 2022, 03:30:50 AM
(.....)
What are your stacks like? Goals? Any thoughts?
For me, it's not about how much or it's not about the size. Another way how to become a millionaire, it's not easy. You may need to gamble here, high risk high reward. There is some project with a still low market cap or new projects that are not yet pumped but you need to be careful and accept the risk here. One of the example before about meme coins where most of them are shitcoins and no use but when they pumped, too much and lot of people earned huge profits.
2158  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2017 : 20,000$ - Bitcoin 2022 : 20,000$ on: August 03, 2022, 01:49:20 AM
Think Bitcoin has lost its bullish momentum? It feels like now continuing to hold BTC is pointless ...
Bitcoin stayed above $20,000 when the month of July closed, I'm very happy and positive about that, and for the month of August I am still bullish.
Resistance is $30,000 and support is still $20,000.
This is just showing how the peak of 2017 is a strong support right now.
2159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: USDT PRICES IN THE MARKET. on: August 03, 2022, 01:44:31 AM
The trust of people is still in USDT, market capitalization is the proof. What I also observed is when there is a high volatility on Bitcoin/Ethereum this is the time the price of stablecoins such as USDT/USDC is affected, and they fluctuate too. So for me, I'm still comfortable using USDT.
2160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Early Adopters rich? on: August 03, 2022, 01:36:27 AM
I heard some stories, and a lot of them which most of them are in regret because they sold most of the Bitcoins that were earned in the early days in very early, it's just sad for them. But overall, they are not losers at all, they sold it with profits. This is one of the best examples of how the strong hands holder is really lucky.
