2061  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: That's why I really like bitcoin :) on: September 03, 2022, 10:27:42 AM
Don't forget to continue liking bitcoin when things that make you feel that bitcoin doesnt like you occur - the price plunge, regular hacking activities, exchanges going bankrupt, people claiming to be Satoshi etc.
(....)
Exactly! This is one of the many tests for people who really acknowledge or are really into Bitcoin or really know how Bitcoin works.
Because there are a lot of people that only got into Bitcoin just for the money or investment and when the price of Bitcoin is suffering or due to high volatility, then intended to ignore Bitcoin too, and some of them don't really know how Bitcoin works.
2062  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Outperforms Bitcoin Trading Operations on: September 03, 2022, 10:13:21 AM
(.....)
The latest rumour going around about the Ethereum merge is a dump after, you are wrong if you are one of them, Ethereum going proof of stake and fixing the high gas fee have automatically turn this project into a GOLD, every whales will want to stake and enjoy the rewards, even if a dump happens after the so called fork it won't last.

Those will for sure lose during this event in short/medium and maybe even long time frame.
First, The Merge event on Ethereum will not fix the current high transaction fees on the Ethereum network.

The reason why Ethereum gains too much trading volume is yes because The Merge event, I also realize this as most of the time these past few days, most of the entries on my trading is on Ethereum and I notice the trading volume on Ethereum is growing high compared to Bitcoin.
2063  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Just went short on LUNC on: September 03, 2022, 10:03:09 AM
The volatility is really high now even on high market cap coins like Ethereum and Bitcoin.
If you take a look at Bitcoin which is battling the $20,000 while Ethereum is on $1,500 - $,1600.
Very wild, with a lot of candle wicks.

About on LUNC, for me short this is good, for sure a lot of traders are making profits for this pair right now, especially the trading volume for it is high.
2064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does altcoins actually have the potentials of generating benefits to investors? on: September 01, 2022, 03:41:45 AM
As a beginner into the trading business, I'm always scared of putting my money into altcoins but I do hear some people talk about how they make profits altcoins.

So I decided to come here to seek the views of experienced traders on the potentials of altcoins.
Think that most of the altcoins in the market now are scams or worthless, maybe 90% of them are not worth it.
Most of the altcoins now are just good in the beginning or they just want the people's money and after that, they start to vanish and have a lot of issues.
Over time, Ethereum for me is the only altcoin that is worth its investment others are not worth it. Well, just my 2 cents.
2065  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Grid Bot on: September 01, 2022, 03:39:06 AM
I check this also in one of the exchanges I am using and tested it. It is quite nice but there is some part I don't understand.

Was that by any chance Kucoin grid bot?
(....)
I only tried the ByBit grid trading bot but yeah I saw there was also a grid trading bot on Kucoin.

That's sad to know for you that you ended up with no profits.
For me, I just tried them for a short period of time with a low amount and no losses as of the moment. But after I pos this thread, I terminate those bots, for now, I want to research more to know how they really work and analyze too.
2066  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Rate my portfolio progress on: September 01, 2022, 03:33:45 AM
(.....)
P.S. My strategy since mid May has been to dollar cost average on various promising Alts ( high risk to low risk ) and sell my Gold into Tether and USDC when I sensed trading opportunities were near. I also bought a lot of Ethereum when BTC hit 18K. So my portfolio is highly diversified now, which wasn't before in Mid-May. Gold is still my biggest holding, Ethereum my second biggest, BTC my third.
Are you trading here? If yes, on what basis? Like how do you identify your entry, stop loss (if there is any), or take profits area?

Looks like you trade in a different way or you are just a long-term investment which is more on accumulating/buying at cheap prices and waiting for the time before taking profits.
2067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: global stock markets are under bearish pressure on: September 01, 2022, 03:30:32 AM
(.....)
My question is will this have any impact on cryptocurrency projects
For me yes, as you can see recently. It is like a global effect, it is on any market majority, not only in the cryptocurrency market but also in stock markets.
For me, during dumps, the percentage of dumps on cryptocurrency is much higher compared to stock markets, which seems natural as we all know cryptocurrency is more volatile and the volume or market cap is still low in the cryptocurrency market.
2068  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can this be the reason some people are afraid to invest in Bitcon? on: September 01, 2022, 03:27:09 AM
There is no one reason why people are afraid to invest in bitcoin, they can be scared away with what they read in the news, their age, or what their friends tell them, they can also be afraid to invest in bitcoin because they lost their funds, or someone they know lost theirs, so many more reasons are possible.
(.....)
Yeah, some people tend to believe in other people or entities compared to their own self or instinct. Even without doing first their own research, they immediately believe without verifying.
Another thing is social media, there are a lot of influencers there that spread FUD sometimes or fall for some traps about scams or Ponzi, these are also one of the many reasons.
2069  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Early Birds are always on time - Bitcoin, king In the crypto space. on: September 01, 2022, 03:09:44 AM
I  lost the asset I invested in the coins below, is better to invest in Bitcoin than some scam Altcoins.
(.....)
I remember myself through this line.
Way back I started to introduce Bitcoin I think around the year 2017. Bitcoin is the first real deal before when I started in the cryptocurrency world. But after that, as a newbie, you get easily lured by some random altcoins so some of my Bitcoins before or hard-earned are starting to allocate on random shitcoins or altcoins, and yeah, if I just stayed on Bitcoin I could have saved a lot of profits.
2070  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which meme coin is your favourite on: September 01, 2022, 03:03:02 AM
Between Baby Doge and Shiba inu which one do you feel is right for long term hold? Is there any fan of Baby Doge here? Do you think Baby doge can bring better gains than Shiba already did in near future.
I will always choose the original and king of meme coin; Dogecoin.
But among the choices, I'll choose the highest market cap which is the Shiba Inu.

I believe that these kinds of meme coins, meme coins after the Dogecoin are only hype and probably will only stay for the short term. Dogecoin is original and already proven by time.
2071  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins future is Bright on: September 01, 2022, 02:55:12 AM
I have to much love for Web 3.0 and the endless possibilities that it offers. I mean, there's a whole that a project built on the web 3.0 ecosystem can achieve. Those who truly have an understanding of web 3.0 and bitcoin knows that the future is more than bright. It dazzling. Anyone who bases their judgement of bitcoin's future on the current market situation is in for a rude shock. You can't go wrong investing in Bitcoin.
Yeah, for me Bitcoin is also a huge key player because of innovation on other blockchain technology related, like Web 3.0.
So Bitcoin is one of the biggest reasons why we have these kinds of platforms these days, even non-Bitcoin related.
As time goes by, foundation on Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency technology related are getting stronger.
2072  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between Coin and Token on: August 31, 2022, 02:04:56 AM
Please I would like to know the real difference between a coin and a token as it has to do with blockchain technology.
Main difference between them are
  • A coin has its own blockchain. Whatever its blockchain is, whatever its algorithm is: either Proof of Work, Proof of Stake, DAG, etc. It has an own blokchain.
  • A token does not has its own blockchain. It is built on another blockchain and if that blockchain die, stop working, that token stop working too.
  • In other words, tokens are like parasites on other blockchains
(....)
Nice, very brief, and simple explanation.

There are also some other tokens before like when they start their project one of their goals is to have its own blockchain.
Some of these tokens started with just a token or deployed to other blockchain like ERC20 on Ethereum network but later on, these projects starting to migrate or rebrand and that's the time some are moving into different blockchain or on their own blockchain network.
2073  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Forbes says Half of Bitcoin trading volume is fake on: August 31, 2022, 01:57:30 AM
It's still difficult to identify or to know the exact numbers who much the fake volume currently on the market because of these centralized exchanges.
There are some exchanges that are not transparent, that's why I can say it's difficult, there are also some exchanges that are manipulating it so numbers regarding centralized exchanges like volumes must not need to be fully trusted.
2074  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Keep or sell ethereum before the merge? on: August 30, 2022, 11:01:04 PM
Keep or sell ethereum before the merge?

I've made some researches and found plenty of rumors saying that ethereum will dump after the merge and why's that?

I am thinking about "buy the news, sell the rumors". In this case, the Ethereum will not pump on the day of the event(The Merge) or after the event but it will happen before the event (The Merge), but the question here is when also, I am thinking about the pump for almost 50% before of Ethereum from $1,000 - $1,5000 was already the effect of the event (The Merge), and as The Merge is fast approaching, volatility or dumps on Ethereum seems increasing also.
2075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to hodl Ethereums? (ETH MERGE) on: August 30, 2022, 10:57:44 PM
Binance takes forever to distribute forks that has ever happened to any popular crypto projects and I am sure that the same will happen with Ethereum if the fork is going to happen, you will have to wait for like a week before you see your coins, other exchanges are always faster than Binance exchnage when it comes to fork.
I think this is ok for me especially if the forked coins are of no use at all for the early days after its being forked. If you are just planning to sell it then yeah you must get it as soon as possible I think it will not matter, there are some coins that are cheap price when it is now listed on an exchange and there are some also that pumping immediately after its being listed on an exchange.
2076  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which one is your most favorite alternative to Preev.com? on: August 30, 2022, 10:52:40 PM
Most of the mentioned platforms above are the same and similar.
I'll go with the easiest to memorize domain which is myri.io and pnnv.com, and I also notice that all of them can be used as a calculator with the real current price of Bitcoin, which most of the time is what the most people need when they want a quick calculation.
2077  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Money but from where on: August 30, 2022, 10:43:41 PM
Since you are in the Trading Discussion section, then seems you are interested in Trading cryptocurrency.
This is one of the many ways how to earn profits or income in cryptocurrency, but this is risky at the same time and needs starting capital.
You also need time and effort to learn to trade and after that, you will be profitable if everything goes well.
2078  Economy / Trading Discussion / Trading Grid Bot on: August 30, 2022, 07:01:15 AM
Has anyone already experienced using grid bots on trading?
I become curious about this when I saw one TikTok video that explained how he gets profits doing this.

I check this also in one of the exchanges I am using and tested it. It is quite nice but there is some part I don't understand.

Anyone here can give some experiences or advice or tips when using these grid bots?
2079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto's Metaverse projects are looking good now on: August 30, 2022, 06:51:16 AM
This is the effect of the development of a technology.  Metaverse is now indeed a new trend that every crypto project should have. So it's only natural that the Metaverse is quickly accepted by the community. Because this is indeed the right time for the Metaverse to appear
Exactly, a new trend, and this is very unique. So, expect that there will be a lot of negative feedback from people.
I can relate to this before when Bitcoin or Cryptocurrency started, a lot of people said it was a scam.
Another thing is the Internet a long time ago before it's become widespread use in households, there are a lot of people who don't believe in the Internet and how it will help our daily lives.
We are still very early, with more room for growth.
2080  Economy / Speculation / Dormant Bitcoin Addresses on the move on: August 30, 2022, 06:35:21 AM

https://twitter.com/PositiveCrypto/status/1564495749043277824/photo/1

These days there are some Bitcoin transactions that came from Bitcoin addresses that have had no activity for 7-9 years.
If you take a look at the chart, when these transactions are executed, there we see some drops in the price.

I am curious if it's a coincidence or if it's really the transaction that sold those Bitcoin on the market immediately.
Or only people triggered the dumps because they saw some transactions transferring Bitcoins from Bitcoin addresses with no activity from 7-9 years.
