What other domains do you have and what are their prices?
3062  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Stay away from Coinbase on: December 05, 2013, 11:39:42 PM
Don't trust third parties like Coinbase to hold your coins. You simply cannot verify the security conditions under which your funds are held.

Get a desktop wallet, learn how to encrypt properly, consider cold storage, etc. Secure your own funds. Otherwise, you are just waiting around for Coinbase to screw you.

Use them to buy/sell if you need to. That's it.

I trust coinbase more than a desktop wallet. I enabled two facto so you would need to steal my phone to get access to my account and you would need to crack my password which would take a few hundred years to crack with brute force.
3063  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What do I do with the source code? on: December 05, 2013, 11:32:12 PM
BFGminer is the only thing that I know of that will do CPU mining with a pool.  But, you're not going to make anything with CPU mining bitcoin.  (literally nothing)  -- you could try primecoin maybe?

Is there a tutorial on how to setup a CPU miner with a pool for feather coin or something that is pretty new?

EDIT: I have a Mac and Ubuntu? How would I setup for both?

3065  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Introducing Hive, a beautiful new wallet for Mac OS X on: December 05, 2013, 11:25:59 PM
I just voted in the poll and quickly want to say why I chose chrome app. You should make a stand alone chrome app because of the fact that chrome is supported on all os's so this would make it quickly compatible with all of the os's. Of course you could make desktop versions for each os later on but this will make it so that one price of code is available everywhere...
3066  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Show me the numbers! 10k to play with: Mine LTC to convert, mine BTC, or BUY? on: December 05, 2013, 06:22:46 AM
Use http://coinchoose.com and mine the most profitable coin. Then convert it to btc or hold it.

Yeah but at the same time profit-coin pools aren't always profitable. Just mine litecoin and for sure have the money you invest in, bitcoin is slowly losing profitability for single people and litecoin is still uber profitable for single miner configs or small farms.

What about feather coin? I hear that feather coin is one of the better coins to mine...
3067  Economy / Services / Re: Earn up to 0.4BTC/month just by posting! on: December 05, 2013, 06:19:04 AM
Personally, I think it should be OK to link to your own reputation thread and/or to one thread you were selling something in, but obviously Stunna is the boss here and makes the rules, but as others have said, I would like clarification on this.

Small font personal links/bitcoin addresses etc are allowed below signature. No other paid advertisement/ref links

Alright, cool.  No ref links of any sort, right? damn..  Threads on bitcointalk are allowed, no?

Could you also let me know if my current signature is acceptable?

Yes, I think so; Stunna has now clarified that personal websites are allowed.

But he said "small font". Mine is the exact same size as his...
I think only primedice signature can be see. Your signature can't be see

Depends on your screen size. On my phone I can only see half of the primedice signature but on my 1080p monitor I can see both signatures.
3068  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Clearly a scam!!! watch out on: December 05, 2013, 06:15:12 AM
as far as I've heard, most 'cloud mining'/mining contracts are a scam.

Cex is good though...

Ok and is it windows only or is Mac and Linux supported?
3070  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New Bitcoin Chart Widget for Android on: December 05, 2013, 05:49:04 AM
I will for sure.

Could I ask you please to add my widget to the following list / thread ?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=136158.0

(as I'm still a newbie in this forum I can't post there yet).

Thanks  Cheesy

Done. Please let me know if you need any more help. BTW I have a android phone and an iPhone, I just much prefer the iPhone over the android. Maybe I'll boot up my old phone to test this out! Smiley

3072  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: why are devcoins so cheap on: December 05, 2013, 05:30:02 AM
200,000,000 new Devcoins are generated every month. Much more than BTC, LTC or any other altcoin. That's why the price is so low.

Wow! Whats the estimated max for devcoin?
no cap. 180,000,000 per round (3-6 weeks based on hash rate -- last couple rounds have gone quicker so i suspect hash rate has risen). 50,000 coins per block, so yes, price will naturally be lower than coins with lower supply. the intent is longterm sustained funding of open source development, with a large scope in mind.

what is unique about quark?  Huh

Thanks for the info. Since thee is no cap, I don't think it's going anywhere... As far as quark goes there are multiple complex algorithms instead of just one that supports the coin. I'm not too familiar with the coin either so you should probably check out the official thread.

If you know C and C++, you should be able to make your own alt coins! Smiley

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=225690.0

... but please don't, there are quite enough out there already thank you.

Cheesy Most of them are unique. The thing is that only a few are unique:
Bitcoin is original
Litecoin is the first (not 100% sure about this) scrypt coin
Quark coin has multiple algorythms to support it

All of these are VERY successful alt coins! All you need to make a good coin is a unique idea!

3075  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Posting every 360 seconds glitch on: December 05, 2013, 05:06:27 AM
Happens to me to, its really annoying

Dont worry. As you post more and more the time limit becomes smaller. For me its only 10 seconds (and I hardly ever get the error message).
3076  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Posting every 360 seconds glitch on: December 05, 2013, 05:05:53 AM
I have just logged in from my home computer, and tried to make a post and was given the note that I most recently posted from my current IP address less than 360 seconds ago even though I just got home.

Have anyone experienced this before?

Ya, just copy the text that you have typed, then refresh the page. After that paste the text and wait 6 minutes. Then press post.

3077  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: why are devcoins so cheap on: December 05, 2013, 05:04:26 AM
Well because the amount of devcoins being traded is small. Things need to be unique (like quark coins) to make it up quickly.
