3061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will cryptocurrencies eliminate the need for credit/debit cards in the future? on: March 20, 2022, 06:40:22 AM
It all depends on mass adoption. In countries where Bitcoin has been recognized as a legal tender, I think debit/credit cards are slowly becoming obsolete. I do not think there will be a complete elimination unless the banks close their services. In India, we rarely use debit cards nowadays due to UPI transactions but we are still using credit cards.
3062  Local / India / 30% TAX and 1% TDS applicable dates on: March 20, 2022, 06:06:50 AM
Starting 1st of April 30% tax on income from crypto and other virtual assets will come into effect and 1% TDS will come into effect from 1st of July. I am not sure whether the tax will be charged by the Indian crypto exchange or a user has to separately pay it. Does anyone here have the answers? If yes then, please reply here.

There is a famous saying - Every Disaster Is An Opportunity You Must Seize

Two years back when COVID19 happened we saw a few projects that popped up at that time. I assume the same would happen now. It is just a vicious cycle for example when dogecoin pumped, there were multiple projects that were a replica of the same.

You cannot stop them but you can certainly avoid them
3066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: i want to take risk on: March 19, 2022, 09:39:43 AM
Go to CMC and then click on the hamburger menu. Then open the drop down menu for Cryptocurrencies. The select gainers and losers. Here you will find those coins/tokens that have either have pumped or have been dumped. You can filter it based on timeframe and coins. Now, do your research and invest.

Undoubtedly the match will be a draw. As we have seen the West Indies bowlers bowling poorly, the England bowlers are not doing well either. For a long time they could not take any wicket. And the pair of Braithwaite and Blackwood have probably scored 159 runs already.
It is highly likely that the match would end up in a draw because West Indies is fighting back and Kraigg Brathwaite is leading from the front and had a good partnership with Jermaine Blackwood and both reached their century, but Jermaine Blackwood lost his wicket and they are still trailing by 219 runs and two more days left in this match and unless there is a big turnaround in the morning session the match will end up in a draw .

Braithwaite is still playing comfortably and has now scored more than 100 runs. I think if he stays there till the end of day 4 then WI will be able to lead trail. England would like to get his wicket if they want to win this match. Still the chance of this match getting draw is pretty high.

3071  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: March 18, 2022, 12:30:18 PM
England managed to set up such a massive total, after so long. Nice to see Ben Stokes getting a century, and Joe Root making another big score. Dan Lawrence was quite unlucky to miss his hundred. The West Indian bowling looked dull, and only Veerasammy Permaul looked impressive in parts. BTW, Matthew Fisher is making his debut for England and he has already picked up his first wicket (that of John Campbell, caught behind by Foakes). He is having a smooth bowling action and has the capability to make it big in the coming years.

Thank God you give credit to batsmen rather then blaming the board and curator for making a flat pitch that will take the match to draw. Definitely your moral goes down if you opponent keep on scoring runs, West Indies have a tough day ahead. They are still 436 runs behind England total, they should try to score at least 350 in there first innings to remain in the match.

I predicted and said before, at the end of the first day that England is going to put up a really big total. And that's exactly what happened. Now West Indies has lost one wicket already for 71 runs. And still trailing by 436 runs. To be honest I am not sure that they will be able to get a lead at the end of their innings. 436 runs look quite a lot, to be honest, and I think we will get a good idea after the first session of the third day.
Trailing by 436 runs and losing 1 wicket does not mean they are out of the match. Still 3 more days left and WI can chase those run if they play sensibly on day 3, they need a big partnership
3072  Local / India / Re: India Celebrates Festival Of Colors 'HOLI' In The Metaverse on: March 18, 2022, 12:21:57 PM
Lol! I didn't realize that TATA can be so dumb to spend money on such nonsense activities rather than an actual promotion. Possibly they are sitting on some serious amount of cash which needed burning for something! This is utter nonsense to be honest.

I believe it is better to give dividend to their shareholders instead of burning cash on metaverse. This entire imaginary world is a hoax and nothing else! Elon Musk has a better word for metaverse - marketing buzzword!

They are basically trying to cash the hype. A better option would have been to give dividend to their share holder and a bonus to the employees. Everything a big organization like TATA does is always a marketing gimmick
3073  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you think DEX is safer? Here is why I don't on: March 18, 2022, 09:36:54 AM
Both DEX and CEX have pros and cons. If you are not comfortable in using a DEX then better to use a CEX. I have used both and have not faced any issues as I only use those  exchanges that have reputation and have been in the market for quite sometime now. If you keep your tokens on a CEX then you are no longer in control of your crypto assets but when you keep them in your wallet you are in control of them as you have access to the private key of your wallet.
3074  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question on: March 18, 2022, 07:21:50 AM
I haven't heared anything wrong about trust wallet yet. It gain a lot users because it is ability to connect to a lot of Defi dapps running on Binance chain. Being a closed source wallet does not necessarily mean the wallet is bad. Ledger hardware wallet is also closed source but everyone recommends it more than Trezor which is an open source wallet. What is important is that a wallet should be non custodial and should provide multiple functionality.

Bitcoin Fake Version
Shame on you, guys.
Better get out of your prehistoric bitcoin, BTC is not green
BTW our coin has the lowest transaction costs

P.S: I love bitcointalk. Excepting nutildah, suchmoon & timelord, because they are ultimate trust abusers

A fork of Bitcoin claiming to be the original Bitcoin. I am not sure why you said Bitcoin is prehistoric as of now Bitcoin SV is on the verge of being erased from crypto books. The problem is not Bitcoin SV or Bitcoin Cash but the person named Craig Wright. Impersonating a group or an individual and then trying to convince the world without any proof will result in such a consequence which was $100 million in damages and guilty of intellectual property theft.

I am not trying to downgrade or prove anything around this topic but I cannot tolerate anyone who states Bitcoin as prehistoric.

5. Learn what are, and how to identify, domains with punycode: UPDATED!!! Punycode and how to protect yourself from Homograph Phishing attacks?

The extension only works with the desktop browser but not with the mobile browser. I do not think there is an app that is currently available that detects such kind of threat on a mobile device browser. Kiwi is the only browser that allows extension on an android mobile device but there is no guarantee that the extension will work. The other way is to first check the URL using the Gluee tools and then visit the website, which I am sure most of us will forget.

Therefore it is always a good practice to check the URL and always remember the correct URL address. Always avoid clicking text advertisements on Google as scammers use Google ads a lot and the same applies to social media ads.
3077  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 1$ per day crypto investment plan any good ? on: March 17, 2022, 08:20:41 AM
Is 1$ investment in crypto every day enough? I'm making up to 10$ per day and I don't want something that will tie me down financially since I have other things I'm using the money for aka responsibilities so all I can afford is 1$ per day, also is BTC the best option with this 1$ per day?

$1 investment into Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency? I am aware of a $1 investment daily in Bitcoin for 5 years which can earn you a profit of roughly $20,405. It has been already discussed here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5222895.0

If any other cryptocurrency then which one would you invest in?
3078  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there a place in the world you could live like a king via sig campaigns? on: March 17, 2022, 08:09:36 AM
You can check the list of countries offering minimum wagers this article - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_minimum_wage and then accordingly decide which country to move in depending on the safety, which is listed in this article - https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/safest-countries-in-the-world

Afghanistan is the place where monthly living cost is just above 350$ but many people will not feel comfortable in the rule of the Taliban so Pakistan could be the 2nd best place for you. 370$ per month for an individual. You can live with good food, a home and can afford safe and comfortable transportation. Peoples are also hospitable towards foreigners.

Quote
Top 10 Cheapest Countries to Live In (in monthly US$) - Living Cost

Afghanistan - $354
Pakistan - $370
India - $423
Tunisia - $424
Sri Lanka - $428
Kyrgyzstan - $430
Algeria - $431
Syria - $435
Nepal - $439
Turkey - $447

https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/cheapest-countries-to-live-in

Afghanistan does not have a banking system and is also in constant civil war. India and Nepal are safer than other countries listed on the list but the new Indian tax system will swallow 30 percent of your cryptocurrency earnings. Therefore in my opinion, Nepal & Srilanka right now can be the destination where you can live like a king with your earnings from the Signature campaign.
3079  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I identify a closed or open source wallet on: March 16, 2022, 08:47:55 AM
Is there anything particularly to look into to know if a wallet is closed source or open source? I'm tired of people saying the difference but not how to identify a closed or open source wallet.
If you want fast and easy solution than follow my bitcointalk forum topic dedicated to Open Source hardware wallets.
Instead of trusting me or anyone else, I would say it is always better to verify for yourself if something is open source by looking at github pages for specific hardware wallets.
One more thing you can do is visiting walletscrutiny.com website and checking if source code for some wallet can be reproduced or not.

Hi senior, I checked out the link to hardware open source wallet you dropped and I can't find ledger nano wallet on the list, does that mean ledger isn't open source hardware wallet?.
Ledger is not an open-source wallet. It doesn't mean it is a bad wallet. It only means that it's source code is not available for use, modification and distribution. It is still considered one of the best hardware wallet for the level of security it provides.
3080  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What I have learned so Far on: March 16, 2022, 07:03:35 AM
I have learned a lot in this forum. And the following are some areas.

1. Plagiarism: I really like this forum for taking time to find out copy and post (paste) users. I, Being in this forum and not involving myself in plagiarism will also help me in my academic activities.

2. Syntax, Sematics and morphology: English Language is a second language to me (L2), which means I am a lingua franca. That is I am not using English language fluently, there are some commas, full Stops and buts (errors) in my writings and some people correct me in my English both the "the titles and the bodies.

3. Criticism and correction: most people criticized me and correct me again.. Criticism make me have an Eagle feathers (very strong).

So far, so good.. these are some of the areas I have learned from the group. Mostly the number one.

That is great that you have learned how to use the forum and gain merit. But as a member of the largest Bitcoin forum on the internet learn about Bitcoin too. Start here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=7269.0
