New Zealand vs India final at Lord's, June 18-June 22. Time for swing - seam battle. Boult + Southee + Wagner + Kyle Jamieson (all rounder) vs Bumrah + Ishant + Shami + Hardik /Shardul (all rounders) (reserve Siraj, not counting others). Bowling looks impressive for both teams. But Kiwis batsmen perform much better on seaming wickets so tough battle ahead for Indian batsmen. Exciting match to look forward to though I guess it starts after IPL 2021 ends. I would place my bet on India though since they seem better in all departments when compared to NZ currently. Williamson is the key batsman for NZ while Pant seems to be the key batsman for India. I wish this was a series though since just 1 match to decide the winner seems a bit unfair to both sides. NZ was bit lucky to reach the finals however indians are much stronger team and favorites for this match. But since this match is played at lords, it may favor NZ too and could be an interesting match. I also suggest that instead of single match decider, it would be better if they could arrange a best of three matches to decide the winner. The problem with India is its middle order, they have been struggling which is evident in the last test match. Tailenders have been contributing a lot. Gill as an opening batsman has also failed. India need to look into the batting line up before the finals otherwise NZ will easily win it. |

The tension between india and pakistan could be the reason of pakistan not playing this series as this is being played in india. However, the point is whether pakistan refused to play this tournament or they were not invited at all ? I wished both Australians and pakistan were part of this tournament as then it could be a mini world cup for the legends.
With players from Pakistan banned from leagues such as IPL, I don't think that it will be any different for the Road Safety World Series. All the matches will be played in India, so getting visa for the Pakistani players will also be difficult. Ideally sports should be kept separate from politics, but in South Asia that is not always possible. Even the fans treat cricket matches between India and Pakistan as some sort of mini-war. The primary reason why Pakistan is not playing is due to the tension between both countries. Australia and Newzealand should have been part of this tournament but I am sure they avoided it because of the COVID19 situation. Still, it is a big tournament and we as cricket fans will enjoy it. |

What a day for India and specially for Pant and Sundar. Unfortunately, Sundar just missed and could not complete his century. Axar was very special in bowling and with his 43 runs this helped India in the end as India did not had to bat in second innings as India won by 25 runs and an innings. India did well to win 3-1 series.
This guy Pant is here to stay, I am pretty sure he will be the permanent wicketkeeper for India in test format. I am sure BCCI would now also check his batting and wicketkeeping abilites for shorter format. Axar patel performed exceptionally well in his home ground, he is another person's who would be seen quite frequently in different formats of Indian cricket. I am sorry for Sundar he did his job but could not find a partner on the other side to stick till the end. |

As a wicketkeeper and a Batsman, Pant has shown that he is made for test cricket. I do not know how he will perform in limited overs, but he is cricketer who has shown that the team can be depend on him. I am expecting sundar to also reach his 100 today.
Nope. Sundar won't get to 100. He is stranded at 96 not out, and India is all out for 365. India is having a lead of 160 runs and I don't think that England will be able to make that much in the second innings. So it is going to be yet another innings defeat for England. Among the England bowlers, the two pacers took 7 wickets, conceding 133 runs. Both of them were impressive, although Stokes ran out of gas after tea yesterday. On the other hand, their spinners conceded a total of 216 runs, taking 2 wickets. Dom Bess in particular was pathetic. Ishant Sharma and Md Shiraz are yet to bat. So India still have batsmen and Sundar needs only four runs to get his hundred. I was also expecting Axar to reach his fifty, unfortunately it did not happen. The lead is 160 runs which is much more than I anticipated, It will be tough for England to chase it. |

Once again we have Rishabh Pant and Sundar coming to rescue and impressed more with the Sundar at lower end batting because that helps India to rely till the time he is on crease else India would have being all out by now near England score only. Expecting around 125 runs lead for India and still will be very handy and only chance for England now is to have a good opening partnership so can laid the strong foundation else the match is already on India's side. India already has a lead of 111 runs and I am expecting them to easily achieve 150.

It is surprising to see Indians struggling against the pace of Anderson and Stokes, while playing very comfortably against the spin of Bess and Leach. Anderson has conceded just 11 runs from his 14 overs and he has picked up 2 wickets. Stokes got the wicket of Kohli. On the other hand, the England spinners conceded 58 runs from their 17 overs, and got just 1 wicket.
It shows that bowlers who keep the tight line and length will get their wickets for sure. In 3rd test they missed to do that but now they are giving their best to make a comeback and tie the series atleast. Disappointed to see Kohli failed again and for a duck which is heart breaking moment for every Indian cricket fans. Pant and Sundar is in the crease, hope they will take the innings as long as they can, so they can think about getting any runs as lead. The middle order has again failed to deliver in this match. Look at Kohli he is out for a duck. Rahane and Pujara have been struggling although they did manage to score few runs. Ashwin can play and I hope he stays there till the end of this day. 156/6 I am seeing a big opportunity created by the Indian bowlers getting destroyed by the Indian batsmen. |

Except for the first match England did not show any chance of a fighting spirit and India looked dominating and India is repeating their performance they showcased against Australia in the last series, failing miserably in the first match so that everyone doubts whether they can be competitive in the series and then produce incredible cricket for the rest of the series  . I guess their defeat in the second match was the turning point. After their win in the first match, the morale within the England team was high. But the crushing defeat that followed in the second match left a lot of despair and doom. Their selection policies were also not up to the mark. They were picking 3-4 pacers in the playing XI, even after knowing that spinners will be bowling the vast majority of the overs. The way England team has been playing this match, it shows they have no idea what they need to do against India. I too agree after their morale is down and players are not so agressive on the field. Indian batsmen are playing well and both pujara and rohit should stick to the wicket. |

This was supposed to happen, players were only quarantine for two days rather tha 14 days. Players were allowed to party and move around. PCB blew the bio bubble and now this incident will jeopardize the reputation of PSL. IPL, Big Bash and Srilankan premier league did not have such issue as they followed strict regulations.
Even when the Pakistan team toured New Zealand, some of the players disregarded the bubble protocol and a full blown diplomatic faceoff between the two countries happened as a result. PCB should make an example out of this incident and suspend the players who broke the rules for at least one year. They need to send a strong message, or incidents like this will get repeated in the future. They first case was reported on 1st March and it took PCB 3 days to realize how the situation has gone from bad to worst. I do not expect PCB to come with a disciplinary action anytime soon. Yes, I agree a strong message has to be given to the players and a harsh punishment should be delivered. |

PSL is postponed indefinitely as more players tested positive and it is really unfortunate for everyone especially the players and the PCB as they should have taken things seriously while conducting a tournament like this and now they will incur more losses.
I was suspecting this ever since Fawad Ahmed tested positive. Feels bad for the Pakistani cricket fans and the PCB. This time the PCB worked really hard to establish the biosecure bubbles and to arrange logistics. But all that effort was undone due to the arrogant nature of a few players. Despite strict instructions, a number of star players went outside the bubble and some of them tested positive later. And from them, more individuals inside the bubble got infected. Don't want to start a blame game, but irresponsible behavior from a few players resulted in tens of millions of USD in losses to the PCB. From what I have heard, a total of 7 individuals have tested positive for COVID 19 (including 6 players). I understand that some of the overseas players have also tested positive for COVID 19. And a curious case will be that of Sandeep Lamichhane. He arrived in Pakistan yesterday, to take part in the PSL. Now the tournament is cancelled before he could even play a single game. Oh tere ki, when this happened? Last i heard tournament was going okay. Big loss for every stakeholders including fans, would be very happy if PCB and Franchise ban those players from the next PSL. Indian bowlers did good today and now Indian batsmen need to up their game in this inning and if they can apply themselves then 1st inning lead shouldn't be much problem for them. They bat deep nowadays so one can expect at least 2 batsmen to contribute, would prefer Rohit and Pant because of their strike rate.

No need to make that kind of conclusion just after the first session of the first day in this match, after the 3 wickets Bairstow and Stokes is making good partnership and it is nearing 45 at very good run rate which is a good fight back after the two early wickets. Hope this may give them the lost confidence and they also have deep batting order so if one or two partnership from now on will give good fighting total for them and don't forget the pitch is going to be more worse when the match progress.
Jonny Bairstow is gone, trapped leg before by Mohammed Siraj. Now they are down to Ben Stokes and Ollie Pope. One good news for England is that they included one additional batsman in the playing XI. So apart from Ben Foakes, they have Dan Lawrence also yet to come. Perhaps that should help them to make a total of 150 plus. Also, may be Dom Bess and Leach could add some valuable runs this time around. After the initial struggle at last England reached 100. Stokes is looking good, not out at 40.
