3061  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Japanese man gambled away a huge Covid-19 relief funds mistakenly sent to him on: July 04, 2022, 10:28:55 AM
~ You would pay the price on what you had committed since its not your money that you had spent which its really understandable that you would need to pay on what you had used even its an accident on where
those funds do sent into your account.~

Cases like this one may be used against all gambling industry. The phrase "gambled away" catches the eye of the reader, and then it sticks in the mind that gambling is always associated with something bad. I just want to note that such a person as this Japanese man, could buy a lot of alcohol and drink himself to death, or buy weapons and do something worse, like attempting robbing a bank with your friends, which ruins not only your life but theirs too.

So, it's not "Don't gamble with other people's money", it's "Don't take other people's money" in the first place.
3062  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons why people avoid KYC in gambling casino ? on: July 04, 2022, 09:30:19 AM
~
They don't trust the casino as the casino might misuse the kyc documents

This situation is impossible in established and trusted casinos. The KYC process is performed by a trusted third party, and the gambling site itself can't steal your personal details. But, of course, scammers are doing it all the time. Do not register on shady platforms.
3063  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Most of us have lived a world of USD dominance, but history changes on: July 04, 2022, 08:59:42 AM
Countries like china and Russia have for long wanted to create a well oiled parallel economic system against USD.  I think bitcoin seems to be a good alternative. Why there is a consensus in many countries that bitcoin will be a great alternative, as it is safe, digital and fully transferable. Thus it can in future become accepted future currency.
Bitcoin has really its own potentials that highly qualifies to become a legal currency, but if we think of making it as a global currency, most probably a lot of big countries are still going to oppose its dominance. They would want their own country's official currency instead than to resort in bitcoin which is highly decentralized. However, if by chance bitcoin will be accepted as one, it will be less decentralized as centralization could be the most preferred by all states.

Governments, especially dictatorships, want their own currencies because at some point they can print enormous amount, exchange this garbage(in the near future, but not yet) for hard currencies, and flee the country before it turns to total chaos. It's their plan B, and I understand them. Why do ordinary people want to have their local currencies, that's what I can't grasp.

~ Great to see some of the features we loved in Primedice still remain.

Yeah same here. They move all there competitions and challenge on there own forum that’s why its not visible there contest unless you are a regular poster here on there ANN thread or you view PD post everyday. I’m not a player of dice game anymore but this contest is worth a try because the minimum reward pool is 150$ and it’s increasing based on the number of participants.

Glad to see this post and remind me of this dice site again.  Cheesy

You gotta be kidding, mate. Smiley

Who can forget Primedice? It's a legend. Tell you a secret, for some of us here it was the reason to register on this forum. No matter how many new crypto gambling sites will appear in the future, we will never forget PrimeDice. And we'll be coming back to chat with old friends in PD chat box, and occasionally win 10 cents just like me today

and chat about it too

its about finding the ultimate bottom.. the actual bottom cost they refuse and impossible to sell below.. . concentrating on the low/bottom
~

Alright, first off, Thank you for taking time to explain all of it with such thoroughness.

Can you please say what's in your opionion is the ultimate bottom for BTC? Yeah, I know it will be just your opinion, not a financial advice, but still it would be interesting to know your opinion on this matter.

~
And still your loaf of bread is terrible money and will get bad if you don’t use it in some productive way. That’s why it’s not used as money.

While Bitcoin is just amazing at being money, and that’s enough for being just money. How many times did you use fiat for other things than money? You can’t eat, drink or do anything with it. And yet still want it more than a loaf of bread, that’s the irony. You don’t even understand money and would still prefer it over an actual economic resource. Because you understand that money can acquire you any economic resource you want, and that’s the purpose of money. Enabling universal indirect trade.

There’s a difference between an economic resource and money. Money is non-productive by nature, while economic resources are. This means money is used to acquire, trade economic resources and make production happen, but not used to produce something directly. While economic resources are used in the opposite way. The good that can fulfill the function of money best, will become the dominant money, it’s that simple. It doesn’t matter if it’s usable in different ways itself or not, for its success as money.

Good point, mate! I was thinking on replying him, but then I read your reply. I couldn't do it better. Smiley
3066  Economy / Gambling / Re: How do you know how to trust online sportsbooks? on: July 01, 2022, 09:12:09 AM
Hello everyone, I've been using online sportsbooks for a while now, but I wanted to know how do you know how to trust those sites? What do you look for in them, what are some red flags for you, that kind of stuff. Hope it makes sense and please share what are your favorite online sportsbooks.
We will only believe that a sportsbook casino site is trusted when we see that it is licensed.Once the sports book casino site is licensed we will find it in the casino site web series. Then people will talk good about it and if it is popular among all, we will consider it trusted.
As long as we can get a list of trusted sportsbook casino sites from this forum, we should be fine and I believe this forum has provided a list of those casinos. The sportsbook casino site here seems to have a license already and has a good reputation, making it easier for us to choose the sportsbook casino site. We can also directly register and play there while looking at other gambling games. But please be careful if you find a sportsbook casino site out there and it's not reviewed yet on this forum because we don't know how good the casino is.

This is absolute truth about sportsbooks using cryptocurrency. We normally don't review, or, discuss, fiat sportsbooks here, unless they are starting accepting BTC, ETH etc, but crypto sports betting is covered better than anywhere else on this forum. It would be very unwise to start using a crypto sports betting site without consulting this forum first.

~

Hi Karl,

I tried it with a couple of eligible games. I won't be in the leaders but I enjoyed the process. Smiley Had some nice moments too. This one with Legacy of Egypt

and I also used this nice 50% boost with it

and then I discovered this new to me game by mistake Smiley

I thought it was my favourite Money Train 2, but no, it was Money Cart! Now I see that the game was released a year ago, but for some misterious reason I've never seen it before. I won 7x of my stake right away

and then my laptop turned off because of the extreme heat around. I didn't risk to play the slot right after turning on my laptop again, because from playing slots my computer is getting hotter. But I definitely will be back during some cooler times.

I'd recommend trying this slot to all MT2 fans.
3068  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🦊 Betnomi.com | Sportsbook & Casino 🎲⚽ on: June 30, 2022, 11:41:47 AM
Is something new happening with Betnomi or you just bumping to get visibility to the topic?

How often are new slots added? I don't think they are updated weekly on Betnomi.
It was just Bump.

But as far as I know, the next major update is planned in two or three weeks (probably will include added/updating the slots).

I don't play slots on Betnomi, so can't say about that, but their Poker section, man, it's amazing. Each day lots of various tournaments to suit all tastes: from $0.34 Buy-in up to $940! Also, there are literally dozens of free rolls each day(I just counted 32 for today). Most of them are limited to only 100 participants, so you have to be quick when registration opens.  Wink

He has the money so he can risk and wager that much amount in gambling. Everyone cannot do the same as most of us are gambling only with our hard earned money. We do not have free money to spend and lose in gambling.
Most of us have only limited funds for gambling and we cannot risk more. However, some people may try to copy him and later regret losing everything.

We should not assume that no one of us can win huge amounts, lady luck favors whoever she wants and doesn't care about anything or anyone,if she has decided you will win big then you will win big. These videos are impressive and to me they serve as a motivation, although I never play with huge amounts, that big wins can happen even if we play in smaller scale bets on our favorite slot, that x5000-x30000 max multiplier on the top pay line in a slot is there for a reason,I dream of hitting it even with the minimal bet and I would be very happy if I do.

You are absolutely right saying that none of us, even small bettors, is sheltered from big wins. You mentioned 30,000x, but there are higher max multipliers on some slots. Money Train 2's max win is 50,000x, for example. Less than a year ago, user DATBOY won with amazing 31,640x multiplier playing MT2 on Stake:

Even with the minimum bet, $0.10, the won amount would be huge.

It's 2 days left until the winners drawn for this one

The $100,000.00 prize will be split among 10 lucky winners.

While wagering to earn a ticket I even got a Big Win once Smiley

Hurry up, guys, and remember, with just one ticket you have a very slim chance of winning, but with no tickets your chance is exactly zero.

but I'm not sure I understand how the jackpot winner is determined? Still hope to win it tho. Smiley

It's like a raffle, you get tickets and then there's a draw Smiley

I lost my bet and didn't win the Jackpot, BUT I found this post

on Duelbits twitter account, and then I entered the promo code, wimbledon2022, and it worked! Smiley

So, I'm $1 positive as a result. Smiley Bet that dollar today

to have a chance in the new raffle.

Congrats  User 5750!

$1,950 is a nice amount to get out of the blue. Smiley

Any of you guys placed any bets for the BTC/ ETH price prediction this time ?
I found ETH price betting to be more rewarding this time since the odds are better for ETH than BTC.
Below are my bets and I think I might win something this time.

I missed it. You are right, amazing odds for the "$1,251 - $1,500" range, 6.37. It is very likely that ETH will end up there. I would even bet on the "$1,751 - $2,000" range with 7.82 odds. Those would be my 2 bets, but it's too late now. Good luck, mate!

Yeah, even I wish that the price of ETH stays in the range of $1,251 - $1,500 so that I can enjoy the rewards of 6x.
But anyway, even if the price is in the first two ranges then I would minimize my losses very much.
So as long as the price of ETH is below $1500 I am good to go. I think it would hardly cross $1250 though.

Unfortunately, yes, Ethereum has crashed heavily during the past few days. But you placed your bets wisely, so, at least you will get your money back. And I'm surely losing my two bets, "$27,501 - $30,000" and "$30,001 - $32,500".

BTC price crosses 20k again, and again. I would say it is more interesting that many football games Wink Still more than 24h to go, but if it would be today's midnight, I would check the price every minute.
We will see tomorrow... We talk about the most popular range 20-25 (odds 1.93) and 15-20 (2.99). In other words, your may get the double reward if you were pessimistic Wink
There were also (2419!!) optimists betting on 25-27.5 range (odds 10.78)!
~

You are talking about "$27,501 - $30,000" range, actually.

I was one of those optimists. Good that I didn't bet too much money on it.

I really start liking the slot. Smiley Today I went to Duelbits and started playing Duelbits Book of Demi Gods III right away, because I wanted to check it's hit ratio once again after you said that in normal mode even 2x were rare. I hit couple of 0.5x of my bet, and also lost several of bets, but then for the first time in my playing this slot, that magic book, the 3rd one, stopped in the last reel and I won 10 free spins:
Wow bro you showed us that gambling is fun as long as you can control it and enjoy it. Minimal capital can actually give you its own pleasure. Lol

Absolutely! That's why I love playing minimum bets on slots. Where else you'd be so happy from becoming 12 dollars richer? Smiley

I'll try to bookmark this game room, and it must be really fun to try after a while I've been missing it this week. The Book of Demi Gods is one that still holds many of the multiples untouched in Duelbits. Someone has to solve 1000X soon.

As far as I know, the max payout of Duelbits Book of Demi Gods III is 5,000x. So, let's wait for that one, shall we? Smiley

3078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Type of Gambler Am I? on: June 29, 2022, 10:03:49 AM
~

Finally, I would say that at least in poker there are 4 types of players:
Professional.
Semi-professional.
recreational.
Fish.
~

Haha, "Fish" can be also called "Recreational", right? Smiley That's what I'm doing when losing, anyway, "I've had my fun and that's all that matters.", right? Smiley

~
And to specifically answer the OP, sometimes I'm a winning player, sometimes I'm a losing player.  Smiley

So, using the OP's Seven Types of Gamblers, sometimes you are a Professional Gambler, and other times you are a Casual Social Gambler. Smiley But, if seriously, I would combine 2 types from the list, "Casual Social Gamblers" and "Relief and Escape Gamblers" because it's always both, for me, at least, "relieving stress" and "managing causes of stress".
3079  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "I'll wait for the dip!" - The Crypto Noob Cycle on: June 29, 2022, 09:19:08 AM
No one can call the Bitcoin bottom, that's how the market works. The only thing you can relate to is the ongoing market situation. The current economy is on the collapse and you cannot call $18k a bottom.
In all the previous cycles, it retraced almost 80%+ and now in the occasion of an upcoming recession, It should follow the same which takes the bottom near about $12k per BTC.
In the end, I would say don't wait for the bottom, start DCAing. Smiley

That's a good advice actually. There's no doubt that Bitcoin will start rising at one point, and a new ATH will be reached, as it always happens. And since we can't know the BTC bottom for sure, starting buying when it's below $20k is a good idea. Not with all your money allocated for the investment, but maybe with 5% of it at a time. Wait a week, do it again. I'd say, you are very lucky if you manage to invest half of the allocated money at Bitcoin price below $30k.
3080  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Japanese man gambled away a huge Covid-19 relief funds mistakenly sent to him on: June 29, 2022, 08:35:44 AM
just as the title states, a man in Japan mistakenly sent 46.3m yen to his bank account which was supposed to be shared among 436 people in their town. the article says that the man gambled away the money by withdrawing 600k yen daily for two weeks and gambles it in online casinos and when the authority finally contacted him the money has already been gambled and gone. initially the man refuse to pay back the money that was mistakenly sent to him but after some time he decided to pay it back bit by bit. the town is also suing him for this incident.

you can read the full story here
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-61490436

now, I have a question, do you think the man is entirely at fault or someone should also be responsible?

In my opinion, this is his fault entirely, and no one else should be responsible. Money sent to him by mistake is like someone forgot his wallet full of money at your place. Would you start gambling it away?

So, I disagree with those saying, if the money wasn't sent to him there would be no problem. All of us make mistakes, but life would be much easier if others were helping us to correct it, instead of taking advantage of it.
