3061  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Haasonline Simple Trade Bot For BTCe and Bitstamp[Main topic] on: September 04, 2013, 10:01:10 AM
Is anyone making profits with this? Seems like a good bot.
3062  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin means comfort on: September 04, 2013, 09:05:31 AM
Bitcoin with coinjoin will make bitcoin a place for people tax evading, people saving, all online gambling and drugs, powering paid for tor networks and so much more. Bitcoin will be legal and illegal and cover every use of personal wealth.

And some people think $1000 a coin is expensive.
3063  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] BTC Growth: Capital Growth via Hedge Fund-Style Investing on: September 04, 2013, 08:40:33 AM
I think the problem here is that the monthly report schedule seems very slow in bitcoin time.

- ASICMiner pays dividends once a week.
- Coinlenders pays interest once a day.
- Just-Dice shows investors' balances to 8 decimals, in real time.

Some bitcoin investors simply may not have the attention spans for an investment like this.

Haha the beauty of Bitcoin is the diversity. I agree with you too.

I think that a long term investment such as this would be good for bitcoin, maybe get some people used to slowing down a little.
3064  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 04, 2013, 07:48:47 AM
This thread is an embarrassment.

Are we blocking brand new users from chatting as a precaution from spamming?

If so perhaps give them a little warning that they need to wait for a set time or something.

Otherwise its seems like the site is broken.

Thanks.
3066  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] Deprived Mining Speculation (DMS) on: September 04, 2013, 04:57:55 AM
Thanks twentyseventy, BitThink and Deprived.

Very interesting security.

So essentially its a game where I have to predict the correct difficulty increase and buy MINING if its undervalued or SELLING if I think MINING is overvalued.

3067  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] Deprived Mining Speculation (DMS) on: September 04, 2013, 04:32:23 AM
This isn't a Ponzi scheme, as the dividends for MINING are paid on schedule out of the SELLING reserves. SELLING is NOT guaranteed to make a profit or to necessarily pay anything out. SELLING is paid a dividend only if the Difficulty increases significantly.

So the flow is like this: funds from people buying SELLING become the MINING dividend which is paid out on schedule.

If the difficulty goes up a lot and the dividend required by MINING is smaller, then that difference is profit for SELLING and becomes a SELLING dividend.

Is this correct?

How does the situation change when you buy a SELLING share from someone whos selling one? Obviously the proceeds of that sale go to the seller instead of MINING dividends.
3068  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: September 04, 2013, 04:23:38 AM
Does ASICMINER have the funds to build a scrypt ASIC?
3069  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] Deprived Mining Speculation (DMS) on: September 04, 2013, 04:19:11 AM
I looked throughout this thread but could not find an "explain it like I am 10" explanation to how these securities work.

This is as much as I could put together, note that I am probably very wrong. Please correct me.

So dms.mining does not actually have miners, but pays out as if it did. The money to pay out the investors as the dividend actually come from the people buying dms.mining.

If you think that dms.mining share value is over priced then you can buy dms.selling, I am not sure where this dividend comes from.

Dms.purchase is simply the combination of the two.

Also this is a losing proposition as its similar to a ponzi except the payout is fixed towards what a mining bond would payout.

Thanks.

3071  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 03, 2013, 04:45:58 PM
and im expecting the price to reach 38 when 10th september comes, before the hashing is to going to be announced

38 btc per share equals 380,000,000 btc networth which equals 18 times the entire supply of bitcoins!

BUBBLE TIME!!11!!!
3072  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 03, 2013, 01:55:10 AM
A) Horrendously overvalued

I disagree with this. AM is pulling 30% dividend per share at the moment so its no where near overvalued.
3073  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 02, 2013, 07:42:57 PM
it amazes me how much time and effort FUDsters spend here trying their best to put down Labcoin...
Doesn't anyone stop and think WHY...Huh
oh.. oh.. that's right... they are trying to help us from loosing our BTC before the big crash...
oh.. oh.. I forgot... these noobs new to the bitcoin world really know what they're talking about and really care for us STRANGERS...

Seriously, even if there was a big crash and it went all the way down to 0.001 that just puts most IPO investors back to square, back to where we started... nothing lost.

Seriously just have a look at what's the reality here ActM and AM shares have gone south for one main obvious reason... They want Labcoin.  This isn't FUD just have a read in their threads, their main topic is how they can sell their shares to make big profits buying Labcoin.

edit:  sorry forgot to mention...
        WHAT AN AMAZING COMPANY

You are right. If Labcoin can maintain 1% it will inspire a huge amount of confidence whilst our competitors are either not hashing or declining network percentage every day (AM)

People want out of the falling beast AM and into a new contender Labcoin. Next week will be huge!
3074  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 02, 2013, 07:09:14 PM
I am really amazed at how the market is holding up with the large dumps. It really goes to show we have made the right decision. Smiley
Amazing company!

Big Bubble! /s
3075  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 02, 2013, 07:01:17 PM
Sorry sold 27k.. ~250% profit is good enough for now Smiley

good man..nothing wrong with quitting whilst you're ahead
everyone else will be checking feverishly 'my value analysis' seeing -1BTC, -5BTC and so on for next week
meanwhile all you have to do is F5 on 10th/SEP and buy back if needed

Seems the market is stable even if some people are dumping or mass-buying (happened a lot these last days).

I am really amazed at how the market is holding up with the large dumps. It really goes to show we have made the right decision. Smiley

call me biased but you are all going to be wiped out by the immanent sell off. its coming.

Why would anyone sell when great profits are around the corner. People stand to make some serious coin in the next week.
3077  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 02, 2013, 06:35:05 PM
Even considering all the BS spread on these forums LC supporters stand out as particularly gullible/uninformed

Its funny how we are uninformed yet Labcoin is now the best performing stock of the past month. (On BTC-TC)
3078  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 02, 2013, 06:14:19 PM
I'm not expecting it to just go up and up like a bubble, but 30% increase is feasable.

It's already up 300% dude! It's got only one way to go now.

How can any stock have one way to go? Thats very absolute.

Many Bitcoin investments easily reach 500% to 1000% and Labcoin is one of those investments.

About 1000 shares have been bought as 20k+ were sold.."buying pressure"

Well the last FUD train resulted in constant selling pressure over many many hours. It took Swede and Labcoin posting here to stop the FUD.

This time some sucker sold 20k shares and without any news buying pressure returned straight away.

I really do think that any amount of FUD is now useless.
