Its an interesting consideration.
If we forget about FIAT would we be happy to accept a Bitcoin amount for goods and services like 1kg of Apples = 0.00005BTC, regardless of the FIAT value of Bitcoin we just think in Bitcoin.
But there are too many factors which work against this, will we still need to convert Bitcoin to FIAT to pay our bills? if yes its pointless pricing in Bitcoin, it would be an ideal scenario if Everything was priced Bitcoin but because of its limited supply its just not going to happen.

Lyon
The womens final at Lyon is today between Zhang China and Yastremska Ukraine
Yastremska beat the second seed Cirstea yesterday in a 3 set battle, I just caught half of the last set. Yastremska has really done well to get to the final to play Zhang who is seeded 8 and who beat Garcia yesterday in 2 sets 2-6, 5-7.
I'm going to go with Yastremska to win this, she's been riding a huge wave in this tournament after fleeing Ukraine, and I think everyone in the crowd will want her to win the title. She may be a wild-card, but she's got the ability. And I think after the US Open last season, no-one is surprised to see a wild-card or qualifier burst through from nowhere. Ah it was not to be, after 3 sets Zhang was able to win. It was a great tournament for the Ukranian and she did indeed have the crowd on her side. I didnt bet on this match, I couldnt call it.
Monterrey FINAL Osorio v Fernandez, fifth seed v the second seed, this could be a really good match, I would love to see this but its on too late here. I have 2 bets on, one on each player! I have Fernandez to win @ 1.34 and +4.5 handicap on Osorio.

To all my fellow Ukranians on the forum and the OP, I want to say to stay strong, I believe you are all strong people in a very difficult position. To be honest, I used to blame US for provoking Russia over the years that made the application of Ukraine to be part of the NATO become the last straw for Russia. But seeing how things are already, Russia is looking more and more like a bully. Ukraine has every right to choose for it's own. It is a free country and should not be dictated to do things like this or that. War should be the last thing to happen nowadays. This is just madness. What amazes me though are Ukrainians like you, I even heard people from overseas really went back to your country to help defend it and your president himself not backing down and escaping despite being offered to, instead he asked for ammunition. Stay strong sir, along all the Ukrainian people, most of all keep safe. I don't know if you believe in religion or not but I have been oraying and will surely continue to pray for Ukraine and for the leaders involved with all these to be enlightened enough to make decisions that won't have to lead to more conflicts.
I criticized the US for provoking Russia through its acceptance of Ukraine into NATO, thus being the last straw. The US and NATO allies are the main perpetrators of this disarray. All Ukrainians deserve my deepest sympathy, but I consider Russia not only the enemy or the reason for this invasion. It's pretty intriguing that most Russians in media interviews say that they invaded Ukraine to prove that they were doing the right thing. However, I don't totally agree with them. For Russia, their primary concern is security whereas Ukraine wants to join NATO to ensure their long-term existence as they continue to be treated by Russia. The solution is quite complicated.
NATO's expansion over the years is coming to a head now and unfortunately Ukraine is taking the brunt of it. I can understand Ukraine's request to join NATO, I believe they were seeking future protection from Russia, I would say there was a feeling that Russia would not stand for so long without reacting to being surrounded by NATO bases. Ukraine and Russia produce about 30% of the global Wheat, 50% of the oil and Gas used in Europe comes from Russia and they produce massive amounts of Fertilizer, I would have thought that using these commodities as leverage would have been a better road than invading another country? I feel sorry for primarily Ukraine and also Russians who are opposed to this and all who will suffer the consequences for many years both in rebuilding their country and economies.

Yesterdays set of games in the URC saw what looks to mismatched teams with big scores for one side and very few scores for the other, a big imbalance. The big surprise for me was firstly the win over Glasgow by Scarlets and second the final score, well done to them
Benneton 17 - 61 Leinster
Scarlets 35 - 10 Glasgow Warriors
Muster 64 - 3 Dragons

I think pooya87 has it right above, the report is more than likely sensationalised.
I wonder if the Hamas organisation would actually hold Bitcoin on an exchange? I mean I would expect them to be fairly technologically advanced or advanced enough to know that by using an exchange for long term storage they run the risk if their coins being confiscated especially when they are operating against a big military force and intelligence as Israel has at their disposal.

Anybody watched first day of Davis Cup? Is it all played in same revenue and what is the turf? Would like to play some bets today and it is difficult without knowing how fast is the surface.
There was a lot of strange results yesterday so I'll probably try to continue in same way and place some handicaps on underdogs.
Not watching it, I cannot seem to find a channel where it is televised. If you go to the Davis Cup site and go to the qualifiers link > https://www.daviscupfinals.com/qualifiers-2022and click into a match you will get the surface type. I have tried your +5.5 handicap tip twice during the week with good results so far so yea I might do the same in some Davis Cup matches. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Flh3.googleusercontent.com%2F-aJ8vd2-8Biw%2FYiNDeaFBZXI%2FAAAAAAAAA6w%2F3NkMMhjU1Q0KT_3xLZZxbjOTdnR92YLngCNcBGAsYHQ%2Fs1600%2F1646478200891401-0.png&t=663&c=pZ15brrRtxpHcA)

^ Its a nice visual chart though and highlights the necessity to have a complex password structure. But also remember the simple truths: - Do not use words or a set of numbers as passwords
- Do not use automatic password generators, it is better to come up with a complex password yourself, it may be easier to remember it.
- Do not use a universal password to enter all sites (exchanges, wallets, etc.)
- Do not store your passwords in the cloud and on Internet sites
- Do not store your passwords in a text document on your computer desktop
I really hope in this day and age that people know and/or are conscious of those points above. I hope people have really gotten away from "password" and "qwerty1" passwords

These are busy times for Rugby globally.
Rugby Union
In the URC here Round 13 kicked off tonight with 2 thrashing scores
Ulster 48 - 12 Cardiff
Edinburgh 56 - 8 Connacht
The top 6 spots in the URC will qualify those teams into next years Champions Cup and with the URC just over half way places 6 to 11 are very close points wise.
And another break this weekend with the Six Nations.

^ Interesting idea, maybe with the success of Nadal and how well he is playing in 2022 so far Djokovic feels he needs to bring his tennis to an even higher level if thats possible?
As mentioned above Marian Vajda was only one part of the coaching team, I'm sure Djokovic will be retaining other key people in his team.

It sounds like the OP and some friends were chatting about Bitcoin, the market and Satoshi and came up with these wild ideas, it sounds like fantasy not reality.
In order to turn fantasy into reality there needs to be proof, evidence or data.
Grayscale and CME are powerful financial institutes and Bitcoin isnt controlled. Just because Bitcoin hasnt hit either $10k or $100k doesnt mean its controlled.

Good result Mopar, nice to have it in your possesion.
@willi9974 - interesting offer on the purchase of two coins to get those extras. Hopefully you will have more sales with this offer, I cannot believe more people have not availed of this customisable and loadable coin.
Can you tell us more about the notebooks, are they plain pages with different printed covers?

Just heard the news that Djokovic has split with his long term 15 year coach Marian Vajda. https://www.atptour.com/en/news/djokovic-vajda-split-march-2022Could this Djokovic began his season at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, where Jiri Vesely upset him in the quarter-finals. On Monday, Daniil Medvedev passed the Serbian for the No. 1 ATP Ranking. have had anything to do with this move? or maybe there were tensions relating to COVID vaccines in the team? This is a big move, will it result in a short term lul in performance/winning from Djokovic?

I have been following them on Instagram for a few years, The Bitcoin Family are fairly legendary around here. Didi is a great ambassador for Bitcoin as his family are also. They made the decision to go all in and have stayed active in the scene.
They have been travelling the world and educating people about Bitcoin and have been using it as much as possible.

Yes thats how I read it too, first they propose to use is for tax purposes but there is a clear willingness to adopt it fully as legal tender.
Its strange to me though that it is only a city and not the whole country, they must be able to do that or else they wouldnt start the procedure of implementing it.
Also to note while Switzerland is in Europe it is not part of the EUROzone, just in case some people start thinking this is going to be an EU thing.
Good news nonetheless.

I am thinking that the Ukranian players are even more driven now to win their matches. Svitolina after beating Potapova said she would be sending any prize money she gets to Ukraine to help the war effort.
I also watched the match last 2 sets between YastremskaUkraine and Bogdan Romania. Bogdan had match point in the second set but Yastremska battled hard to bring that set to a tie break and won it, same in the 3rd set to take the match.
The war may affect the Russian players more negatively maybe because of the case that the whole world is criticising Russia.

yes mk4 has it above, without an internet connection you cannot transfer Bitcoin, or FIAT electronically. Cash is king in that scenario.
If you have to get out of your home and country and have your assets/savings in for example Gold and FIAT it will become a burden and/or liability so In this scenario Bitcoin is the clear preferred alternative as you are transporting something the size of a USB flash drive or if your memory is fantastic you are not carrying anything physical other than clothes/laptop/food.

I think also over time Russia's ecomomic capabilities will be affected by all the sanctions. Every day I am hearing of new countries cutting ties with Russia, the latest is MAERSK the shipping company will only ship food and medical supplies to Russia.
I think this move by Russia against Ukraine will set Russia backwards when trade restrictions are felt fully.
