Interesting news, I like ebay a d have been trading buying and selling on and off there since 2007 with 100% positive feedback I have only had 1 negative experience but no chargebacks against me.
It will be interesting to know the fees involved in handling Bitcoin on their platform and whether the fees will be prohibitive to doing business there.
For one of big global market places and once the #1 to start accepting crypto is big news and something including amazonwhich has been discussed on the forum a few times over the past 5 years that I have been here

Here is one tip of the blue which I just played and included on some of my multi tickets. This one is not for big stake since it is based just on stats and I haven't seen these girls play recently. Kate Boulter to take at least a set @1.7 Kate Boulter ML @2.9 Kate Boulter to win 2:0 @5.0
Kate is good in these conditions and she won low level futures last week. Konjuh is a better player but this is her first indoors match this year so maybe we can have a nice surprise.
And she won in 3 sets 7-5, 0-6, 3-6 Thats some multi bet combination Trofo, well spotted and good analysis. I have a few straight bets on for tomorrow in Monterrey, I'm a bit fearful of betting on the womens tennis because its so open and I normally bet on the favourites, which means less in the womens game I think. Anyway I have Stephens to beat Sherif, Keys to beat Martic, Fernandez to beat Schmiedlova and in Lyon Cirstea to beat Bolkvadze. I would love to try some handicaps but I'll wait for 1 or 2 more rounds I think.

This Rugby season there are 3 new rules introduced by World Rugby (union) and to me one of the rules is really interesting and promotes a level of skill, its the 50:22 rule which promotes skill, game management and field awareness. It can be used in both attack and defense positions. When a player kicks the ball from anywhere in their own half and it lands in the opposition 22 then bounces into touch the kicking team is awarded the resulting lineout, previous to this the opposing team got the lineout. The finest example I have seen of this to date was last weekends kick by Henry Slade of England, the link below has a clip of the action. https://www.rugbyworld.com/news/watch-superb-henry-slade-5022-138128

Sanctions left and right but did Putin realise or think that there would be so many of them so quickly? possibly not! I watched a documentary today about Putin and it is claimed that while he was a KGB recruit it was noted that he had a low sense of danger.
Can the economy survive? under very difficult times and trading with a small amount of allies like Iran maybe and China it can trundle along. Already today the ecomony was hit with the currency losing massive value, restrictions on sending money out of Russia and queues at banks to withdraw savings. Its going to be very difficult.

I think its important to keep up the communication, its very positive that they have committed to a timeline.
Hopefully the other deliveries will follow shortly.

The Bitcoin market has gone green today particularly in the second half and is now $41,465, this is coinciding with a 40% drop in the Rouble today and is still down 20%. This affects everyone in Russia so I would agree that there are a lot of people moving into Bitcoin, the evidence from BESTCHANGE is there with an increase of 20%.

~snip Basically never take middle handicap @1.85, take one that pays @1.6 and you will pass much more often. This brings to my only problem with Sporstbet and them offering only middle handicap. Going to write about it in their thread once more ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) have to stop reading your posts, or I am back to betting, while I do want to stay on beer-money bets for fun joking aside, it could be seen that you analyze all things about sports and odds, and yeah, that was almost identical to my thinking when I was more to betting
no ATP tournaments next week, set for Indian Wells There's Davis cup this week and WTA Lyon happening starting Monday. Is there any news on Djokovic and if he's being allowed to play the US tournaments? It would be a shame to see him miss out on yet another tournament. and also a 250 tournament in Monterrey Mexico, qualifying is taking place for the second day today and I see Leyla Fernandez is scheduled to play tomorrow, she is seeded #2, Svitolina is on tomorrow seeded #1 and Madison Keys also tomorrow seeded #3. I might throw a few bets on this tournament.

Russian people do not want war. Ukranian people do not want war. People from Belarus do not want war. Therefore at the end of the day we have to understand that it's the sick political situation that makes everything worse for people that they end up in a horrible situation. I had to run from Ukraine 3 days back from Ivano frankivsk and stand on the border for hours before they let me in with my 2 cats. What Russia is doing is horrible. All my savings, my house that I rent everything is now gone. I do hope people continue to make sure gracious donations because Ukraine does need it. NATO is not going to help and WW3 can be there any moment, I literally do not know what's going to happen now.
Terrible situation to be honest. As usual, all the oligarchs fled to Europe on their planes, hiding their capital in advance, and all this will bring the most damage to ordinary people. All expenses will be borne, as usual, by ordinary people and innocent people. It is clear that 10 dollars is a small amount and is significant and will not affect anything, but in general for many it will be support, including moral support. Its not just the $10's its the power of many many $10's of donations which will add up. You are right its the ordinary people who will suffer, some more than others, Ukrainians, then Russians from the sanctions to follow and to a lesser extent Europeans as prices for everything will increase. Great donation by Binance and proves again the trustworthiness of that exchange but it will be interesting to see of it gets covered in mainstream news and indeed will give Bitcoin and Binance a positive spotlight.

Now with countries like El Salvador making BTC a legal tender. This type of scenario could easily make or break Bitcoin.
El Salvador is the only country which has made legal tender and there are no confirmed countries following them yet. The scenario which El Salvador has created for themselves wont make or break Bitcoin but it could potentially make or break El Salvador. If you look at the history you'd realize that people have already been blaming bitcoin for "negative" things and that hasn't changed anything apart from some brainwashed idiots who immediately believe what the media dictates. For example the most recent nonsense has been the "environmental damage" of bitcoin! As you can see bitcoin is still continuing strongly and the adoption is growing regardless of all the FUD.
Thats right! the absolute nonsense, FUD and lies to build negativity towards Bitcoin through the years has been massive...and still here it is through all that ploughing ahead and surviving for whom ever wants to access it. Recent examples, El Salvador obviously, situations like Afghanistan and Ukraine/Russia and the protests in Canada.

Yup, what a legend. This could be phrased as "the Return of the King" ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.dubraybooks.ie%2Fimages%2Fthumbs%2F052%2F0528324_9780008376086_625.jpeg&t=663&c=BXN62Nu5e8QQ1g) Nadal is definitely back on track showing consistent form and set to continue. 6-4 6-4 against Norrie, thats not a bad result for Norrie no disrespect to him, It almost looks like Nadal is being efficient with his energy and minimising the risk of injury by doing just enough to win.

I have been saying that the drop was purely market manipulation and if anything during uncertain times people buy more bitcoin rather than selling it. Whether they are right in the middle of the conflict and having their economy collapsing (like Ukraine or even Russia) or other parts of the world and worry about their economy is dumping like the crashes we saw in a couple of stock markets.
Those who call bitcoin a "high risk asset" are either too zoomed in at hourly charts instead of long term, or have no idea what they are talking about while spreading FUD.
Bitcoin and I would also add Gold to the list which people buy the most during such events of crisis. But since Gold is a physical asset and carrying it out in such crisis is a very big risk, this leaves bitcoin to be the most safe asset to be bought. As we see more times like these (Covid pandemic, Russia-Ukriane war etc...) bitcoin is proving is true potential of "owning" the asset of value. What I am confused is that the price of it is still under $40k whereas it should have crossed $45k already since more people are buying bitcoin these days. Without having a Gold v's Bitcoin The 2 are different and have different applications...and have been debated to death already Bitcoin is the clear winner for sure. Particularly for the people in Ukraine who's country or part of it is being invaded Bitcoin is a safe haven for their assets and wealth, it is borderless and is ultra easy to hide i.e a memory stick Gold, not so much.

I said yesterday that I will skip the final but I placed +5.5 handicap on Vesely in the end.
Great calls so far my man, and it led me to have to take this as well -- making it my weird first leg in the you-know-which-sportsbook-gives-free-insurance-on-5-legs daily I'm taking today. I only take +3.5 handicap though, and had to smack myself now as it's already dead, so quick resolution too, I guess we were wrong about the adrenaline pumping him up. Not that I was watching but the loss was pretty tame by the standards he set. Another great call by Trofo with a + handicap bet. As @rdbase asked above if Vesely has more gas in the tank for the final, it looks like he didnt and called well by Trofo. I only followed part of his call, I didnt bet on him for the final or Rublev either. I also didnt bet on either Nadal or Medvedev who went out at the had of Nadal 6-3, 6-3. Would have thought that was heading for a three setter. It looks like Nadal is in flying form ATM.

That's what I am worrying right now, I am jittery right now and nervous because I can't wait for my Trezor to arrive which I am going to use to evacuate all of my funds into, this is a dire time. Thankfully and fortunately, I am not from Europe so I can rest easy for awhile knowing that I'll be able get my funds transferred on time, to everyone who has doubts or doesn't want to do the same, heed my word: it will be your fault when the exchanges go down and you lost your funds.
Very good to hear you and hopefully many more people have taken the step to SECURE your Bitcoin/Satoshi's for the sake of $100/0.0025 BTCIn the case of exchanges, they should be used only for exchanging. The tragic thing is, rapid adoption of Bitcoin will likely come from the misery of others. For example, with the Russian vs Ukrainian situation, regardless of what your view point is on the politics of it all, ultimately the people are the ones that are having the biggest impact, and will likely seek alternatives to fiat after having issues withdrawing their money after the attack. It's quite sad seeing people delay their evacuation to queue up outside a bank looking to withdraw their own money, and likely probably being rejected for whatever reason.
We saw this before and a lot of people have probably forgotten what happened in Greece back in 2015. https://www.nbcnews.com/business/business-news/greece-crisis-banks-shut-week-restrictions-imposed-atms-n383606 Personally, I think by design Bitcoin is the best solution for storing your wealth I think we can all probably agree on that, and it's by a long margin when handled correctly better than any bank out there. However, I don't have faith that the majority who come to Bitcoin will follow the recommended ways of securing it, and that could potentially be a problem. Obviously, we try to make Bitcoin more user friendly, but because of the nature of it, there's a ceiling to how user friendly we can make it, Bitcoin will always have some sort of complexity because your looking after your own security. I don't think there's a solution to that.
and unfortunately the majority of people around the world dont realise Bitcoins power and will continue to be skeptical of Bitcoin.

Ah but their defence looks good in the second half and then their counter attacking was pretty damn good, ok they a bit lucky with the bouncing ball but to quote an old saying "you have to make your own luck". I really thought this was going to be close and a did a small bet on Scotland more than half knowing it was a tall ask. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Flh3.googleusercontent.com%2F-2BUlZluHmQA%2FYhpUvcqLRKI%2FAAAAAAAAA6Q%2Fpb0E-jAr5aEcH_v9ELGaC2d1c36bKWqTwCNcBGAsYHQ%2Fs1600%2F1645892796443970-0.png&t=663&c=_MU0NjINpGBUIw)
Right, up next is England v Wales, this has the potential to be a close one too. On the upside for Wales, the team is boosted with the return if Josh Adams and top player Taulupe Faletau. EDIT ::: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Flh3.googleusercontent.com%2F-N-_E_rrF3WY%2FYhp1ZmMsUUI%2FAAAAAAAAA6Y%2F1GXPrcHRXkAqxLRn1pklDs7BkFioErx4gCNcBGAsYHQ%2Fs1600%2F1645901157404048-0.png&t=663&c=IsVd7Z2Mjmnh6g) That was a game of two halves for sure, Wales probably a bit unlucky in the end, in extra time England to have a player penalised for deliberate knock on and not be yellow carded is lucky but unlucky for Wales who had a great second half to score 3 tries and a losing BP. What went against Wales today was the amount of overturns they had against them at ruck time and the line outs and of course not being able to register a score in the first half.

Before reading the replies to the OP my first thought was, Why do we need to know? Nobody goes around posting what they own here on the forum and I dont know anyone who has told me what they have in FIAT either.
There is no need to verify what any public listed company owns because being publically listed they have a duty to publically notify their purchases.

Just amazing match witnessed with Veselư winning it after 3 tie-breakers. He will meet Rublev in the finals of the Dubai Open tomorrow. It was just announced so quickly there aren't any markets available yet.
Yes fantastic win by Vesely, that was a tough match for him today. I saw the 3rd set and he looked exhausted and I have never seen anyone sweat so much. This is a magical story for Vesely to get to this final, his after match interview was interesting, he said he was feeling down prior to this tournament. Hopefully we will see more of him as the year progresses. Obviously another tough match scheduled for him in the final against Rublev, Can he find one more win? he is certainly capable of beating Rublev if he brings this A game again.

Timelord you are very right, Pizza and Guinness is a great combination!
SIX NATIONS::..
Scotland over France is going to be real close, I have a small bet on Scotland @ 3.5, France are big favourites for this one @ 1.37.
I have that bet on Sportsbet with 0.01mBTC, they seem to have gotten their act together regarding Rugby but still dont have a book on the URC, for that I use Nitrogensports.

Well Medvedev is set to become #1 and in doing so the first since 2004 who isnt Federer, Nadal or Djokovic. That will be 18 years of a monopoly broken which is great IMO.
Todays semi finals in Dubai:
Hurkacz 1.76 v 2.07 Rublev
Vesely 2.76 v 1.76 Shapovalov
Im not going to bet on either Hurkacz or Rublev but I am going with Vesely to continue his slaying of high seeded players.

Russia has been working on legalizing bitcoin for the last couple of weeks. Which still seems weird to me. Why would a nation, whose regime isn't known for seeking freedom, want to formalize Bitcoin... A currency known for decentralizing the economy. They have full control over their citizens via the banking system, I wonder what are their plans. I'll hold my breath for this. I am thinking now that the reason why suddenly Russia changed its position over bitcoin or crypto, was because they were really in position to go to war. We are seeing that bitcoin is down for the moment, but if the situation between Russia and Ukraine escalates to worse. I have the feeling that after few weeks, bitcoin will start to gain its momentum as crypto will be a very good option to move money in this time. I don't think US or EU can stop those crypto transactions as it is decentralized. So yeah, hold our breath on this but maybe start thinking of accumulating satoshis also while the price is down. ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Yes, we can see that Bitcoin from Russia's response is a Chess piece, its been brought into play as a defense to sanctions as per the thread title. As bitbollo pointed out this is a perfect use case for Bitcoin its just a pity of the circumstances. Thats Bitcoin, it ignores borders and is oblivious to its users and why they use it.
