how to insert image plz help

You realise its a very big image you are trying to load. Besides I see this was the first post you made from this account and I am sure this an alt of you. Which means you should be familiar with the forum. A newbie may not post an image I guess.

I can not find any motive here to post this thread just to find an answer from a new account  Roll Eyes

Sometimes very rarely it loads cloudflare offline page for me. It happened 2/3 times only in my entire BitcoinTalk experience (96 days). However, when I reload the link then it works. Possible reason could be very high traffic on the site.

I think Quickseller was given some coin to attack the forum, so we know it's not him doing it...

~

Bounty really is a risky work without any prior guarantee. I suggest do bounty of an ICO when the manager is highly reputable in this forum with good track records who are not working as a bounty manager for the sake of money but for the community.

The advantage here is, when the highly reputable with good track record manager takes the project in his/her hand to market then he surely does his/her research. No doubt that he/she already gained some precise knowledge and techniques which is hard to figure for average/inexperience people.

PS: Good job on OP
3105  Other / Meta / Re: how you guys think about MERIT ? on: March 20, 2018, 02:50:01 PM
hi guys i am new in this forum, how do i get merit please help me

Honestly speaking, after seeing the number of posts by you, I thought lets see why you did not receive any single merits (Hoping I will give one if I find a good one).

But seriously!!!

Find me a reason and point out me for which one you deserve a merit please.

Please stop doing such things. You are giving a bad name to this forum. This a community where we talk about blockchain, decentralisation, bitcoin etc. We help each others to prepare for the future technology to make a big difference in the world.
3106  Other / Meta / Re: Proposal for the cleanness of the forum on: March 20, 2018, 02:36:27 PM
Use the report to moderator feature with your reasons (you have options to give your reasons).

By the way it really is a good pick from you. It looks really annoying when they do it too much. I hope on the forum rules they must have some guidelines to improve it.
3107  Other / Meta / Re: Can we send merit to self? on: March 20, 2018, 02:29:06 PM
I just observed that I can send merit to my own post but I am afraid that is not right or I'll be punished by getting banned for doing it?

I do not see any yet from your merit send/receive list.. I guess you just clicked the +merit link from any of your comment and found that took you to merit sending page. Actually once you finally try sending merit to your own account en error will occur saying something like.... You can not send sMerits to yourself kind of thing.

3111  Other / Off-topic / A Waiting list to receive (my) sMerits (provably yours too) on: March 20, 2018, 02:19:44 PM

This is an outdated topic. I am no longer following this topic

Only submit posts/comments link those you think worth receiving merits.
Please do not submit your own posts/comments link for the waiting list

Did I just disappointed you?  Grin
You might be expecting to expose some of your own contents to receive potential merits from this waiting list (Will be added later on the first comment on the comment section). Just think for a moment. Can I really judge something from a neutral ground that is my own? For me I will see my contents are always the best and it's true for all of us even, same applies to anyone who we know, we get biased always. It's not our fault, it's in our nature. So don't take too much stress to fix it. English is my second language. When I write or say something in English, I give my best shot to it. Finding error from there, is really hard for me while I think I am doing just ok LOL. I hope now it make sense for you why I said not to post your own posts/comments link at the very beginning.

The goal on this post for me, is to use my sMerits in an honest way without any biased mental state. I want to be really blind on my judgements when I spend each of my precise sMerit to credit other fellow members on this forum for their quality contents. I will apply some of the improvising ideas in my mind on spending my sMerits because I believe some of these ideas will help me to fairly distribute my sMerits

I know someday (as long as the forum and my interest exists) I will be a Hero Member if not a Legendary because I am very clear about my reasons to be the part of this community. I love Blockchain technology and decentralisation. I wish I was a merit source but sadly I am obviously not a Merit source nor a high ranked member yet, with tons of sMerits, I am just a regular member in the forum with an intentions to leave legacy behind me. That's all.

I spend a very large amount of my time of a day on this forum. According to the system, on average 1hour 30minutes per day (even If I exclude 14 days of ban period + 17 days of vacation period, since I have created my account to today 20th March 2018). If I exclude the 31 days not logged in period then it's 2hours 13minutes per day! So, it's obvious I come across a lot of very good posts which I think worth giving merits but since I do not have sMerits I lose them forever all the time  Sad
I am sure from now on, it's not gonna happen anymore for me.

 How it works?
Whenever I spot something worth receiving sMerits I add it on my "Waiting list". The order is FIFO.
If the comment/post already received any merit from someone else or sMerits from me then I move it to "Merited posts" section (2nd comment section of this post)
If you make any comment with any post link/s then I add the link/s  on the waiting list.
If any link/s turns out to be junk then I move it from waiting list to "Rejected list" (3rd comment section of this post).
I will update the lists as I go. So, any delays should be taken easily.
If you are someone with sMerits then you are welcome to pick any of the links from the waiting list and send your sMerits if you think they worth receiving.

I encourage using below format when submitting your links

I tried to read some of your posts and found most of them are in your local language. I really hope you know the basic rules. I am not sure if this is the correct way to resolve this issue (creating a thread) however I read somewhere how to recover an account or something. If I see it again then I will post it here to help you.
I read here on the forum, that this is one of the options for resolving the issue,as this post banappeals-w6pquw43@theymos.e4ward.com  not responding...

Try to contact with or get attention of this person or member position with Global Moderator. They may be able to help you if they can figure out exactly why you have been banned.

After reading this, on this thread, I have the above feeling. I hope this works if you are genuinely seeking help.

3114  Other / Meta / Re: Merit hole and 3 fixes might work (Worth looking) on: March 20, 2018, 08:34:51 AM
I don't think it is waste for Legendary. They receive 0.5 sMerits per 1 received merit. Then they could distribute it to other members, someones even help junior (in general term) members to rank up. I see this type of initiative mostly among Legendary members. That is a very good think. And some of them are really knowledgeable and no wonder they get more merits.

2) Since a members also gets some Smerits on receiving merits, it gives legendary member a chance to merit other members.

The point is, if you give special privilege to the Legendaries such as making them merit source then you don't even need to waste one merit to have them 0.5 sMerits  Grin

...especially in the meta board, you will see a lot of persons spamming the forum with various merit talks which has been addressed over and over again.

- In time these people will get tired and only the people who cares about the community will last till the end.

I am not sure that this will work. There are so many ways to exploit this, I mean there are hundreds of free proxy. One can even buy dedicated IPs for multiple profiles. depending how much he is earning from his profile here.
- yes there are however things will be really difficult for someone then, and which will eventually reduce the numbers of the abusive accounts.

2) There may be some genuine users making really good posts. All their posts might be deserving enough to get merits from same member again and again. If the rule you suggested is implemented, such members will also suffer and may get discouraged.

How would you justify a post whether it worth 1 merit or 50 merits? In my view since you do not have any standardisation so just come out with a default setting such as in a drop-down box set it like 1, 2, 3, 4 or the highest 5. The use will try to judge the post worth what number out of 5. If it's 2 then select 2!

It really hurt to see getting 10 merits or even 50 merits for a post where in a month a user can send the total of 50 sMerits.

My pleasure

Yes, right for sure.
3115  Other / Meta / Re: how you guys think about MERIT ? on: March 20, 2018, 06:51:42 AM
Well, I think it really needed to stop the posts like you did on the OP.

Mate seriously (?) to find the opinion you had to create a new thread on the section.

You would not needed the whole lot of time that you have spent to write the OP, if you were looking around just on this meta section for your answers.

We need to shift our focus on something else than merit now.  Undecided

3116  Other / Meta / Re: Sweep forum account? on: March 20, 2018, 06:43:43 AM
There's an old account posting about a domain that they once owned, and I now own. Is there any way I can either get ownership of the account or get the old content removed so I don't have any branding issues when I start rolling out services?

sparkeddev is the old account.

If you own the domain then you should have the credentials to access the domain DNS and other stuffs of the domain and hosting. If you do not know what to do then contact with the actual domain company (goDadday, hostgator etc not sure in your case who they are) they will be able to help you to resolve your issue.

The user sparkeddev last logged in on January 22, 2017 which is over a year ago. So, I think awaiting for him to get connected and then resolve your issue is just waste of time. In fact if for some reason if you find him/her still you will need to do the same thing either by on your own or by him/her.

PS: If you are asking for owning sparkeddev then I do not think it's a valid question since account buying and selling should not be valid in the forum rule.

3117  Other / Meta / Re: Manual Merit and Automatic Activities on: March 19, 2018, 05:26:38 PM
Any suggestions on how an automated merit system would work?  The purpose of the merit system is to improve the quality of posts in this forum.  Quality is subjective which is why I think it has to be given manually.  How would you control this in an automated fashion?

Perhaps improvising the application level of the merit system. Here are some of the ideas

How do we automatically judge which post is merit-worthy? Super advanced AI?

- Nothing is impossible  Roll Eyes

After looking at how people merit post, my rough estimate only around 10% that given appropriately to quality post, other than that it is given to friend and people who they know regardless of the post quality, so I don't think the system is working as intended.

- Where did you get the data to find the 10%?  Grin

Yes it's obvious that we (the users) are misusing it. Sad
3118  Other / Meta / Re: 'Merit' System is a SLAP to the term 'Decentralisation' on: March 19, 2018, 05:02:50 PM
But this new 'Merit' system is a 'centralised' system which depends on the mercy of others and that is a BIG SLAP  to the face of 'Decentralisation'  Huh Angry Cry

The whole Bitcointalk.org is a centralised system. You have a central authority like the admin. The fact is for a forum post moderation can not be done pragmatically. May be in future we may be able to create an AI for such operation but for now it's really hard.

PS: Instead of criticising the merit system my advice is try to adopt with it. Every place has it's set of rules if you can not adopt then you can not survive. By the way merit is doing the right job for the forum. You need to open your eyes to see why actually it has been brought on the table.
