... The trolls are paid to be here. Some just try to cover shorts by manipulating those who have no resistance to the force. the rest of us enjoy learning, and think Bitcoin could succeed.
Some of those paid trolls use reverse psychology, I hear...

... I'm sure there is a My Little Pony forum someplace on the deep web where you will fit right in.
What could some shitty MLP forum possibly offer that's lacking in these fine fora, YogoH?

... That's the magic of auctions and arbitrage: somebody will bid close to market, if for no other reason to to collect a (relatively) safe profit through auction -> exchange arbitrage (if he gets them below market that is).
As I understand it, the the only reason to buy at a blind sealed bid auction is the potential for buying substantially below market.* Bringing up slippage in relation to buying, but overlooking it in relation to selling ("collect a (relatively) safe profit [by selling on an exchange]) is a bit meh. *For relatively fungible stuff like ordinary cars, Bitcoin, etc. Not talking about art/rare items. I'd say that at -20% of market (which was what the comment I responded to said), there's plenty of wiggle room for slippage, even for a large stash like that. Anyway, this is hypothetical. I doubt some large enough entity with the means to arb Bitcoin on this scale will do so on-exchange. Arb profit can also be gained by securing at a price below market a lot that will be sold OTC at a contractually bound price near market. ... Let me understand what you're suggesting: Entering into a contract to sell X BTC ~market, and then bidding for X BTC at an auction? You realize the risks here, correct? And there's at least a 24hr delay between placing your bid & getting BTC learning if you're the winning bidder--you can't dump the coin if the price takes a nosedive. Not saying there's no chance of coin going slightly below market, but above?

Draper must be very confident that the price is going to rise a lot in the future seeing as he bought in relatively late.
How'd that work out?

Unlike the bulls, who thoughtlessly rush into everything, the bear is a patient, cerebral animal. We strategize, waiting for just the right moment to void our bowels on unfortunate bulls below

.@Newbie1022: Careful you don't turn into a pig, bouncing between bear and bull like that Thanks for the thought... I had the same one... but the delusions are in full force on, here, and the longs on BFX are approaching bubble territory again (nearly $25 million). Then again, I am playing the greater fool game on the greater fool game, aren't I? Anyhow, I have some narrow double shorts in place (not only to close but to switch) so I should be able to ride a spike a heavy downdraft... if it swings in both directions very quickly I'm screwed... but if the volatility runs in one direction for at least a 20 to 30 minute window I should be able to capture some volatility based gains. I just don't feel like fighting the tide. Even though I know the tide is misguided. Good luck, just hope you're not judging the sentiment by posts in this forum. Most of the "to da moon!" folks have spent their munyz a long time ago, because permabulls. They have nothing to buy with--they never sell. Now they're just cheering on their bags holdings.

Dood, seriously, don't quote the troll. He can't even understand basic Ingliz!!! Actually, English language skills aren't her weak suit. Logic is. I agree though that people should just stop quoting this dingbat. Things seem much less confused around here since I finally put her on ignore. We don't need to be reminded with quotations of her scatterbrained ineptitude. Note date: This old chestnut again?
I'll say the same as I did 6 months ago or a month ago.
We'll probably reach our old ATH by mid summer, and hit anywhere from $7000 to $12,000 before crashing down to $2000-$2500, possibly before year's end.
We should be above $10,000 for good by this time next year.
Unless something comes along to break Bitcoin before then.
Take the right meds, or it's back to The Home for you, grampa #1
