Hello, If I fully understand the need for anonymous transaction, there's *a lot* of cases when you do want to be authentified and to send a message with your transaction. With bitcoin, I imagine a system like the following: There's also a need for a bank account ID that you can easily remember. Let's say that my bitcoin bank is ploum.net. My id could be ploum.net/ploum If my friend "Joe" (which has an account on bitcoin.com) want to pay me 5BTC for a party, in his banking software, he just put : Receiver : http://ploum.net/ploumAmount : 5 Message : thanks for the party buddy What will happen then is the following : Bitcoin.com http://ploum.net/ploum------------- ----------- New transaction From Joe Pal ( http://bitcoin.com/joe ) Message : Thanks for the party buddy --------> Replying with new bitcoin adress 15SCCTDK9xcZyKFWXsPRXYS9s1m3Mikcxs <--------- Using the bitcoin adress to pay 5BTC This makes it at least as useful as the current banking system. Even more because account number are now a simple URL. Advantages: ------------- + Easy to use, easy to give your account ID to someone. + Hide completely the ugly bitcoin adress from end user sight. + Allow to transmit message + Could also be used anonymously (for example, by going with a web browser to http://ploum.net/ploum, you can receive a bitcoin adress that you can use manually) + Decentralized. Anyone with a http server can implement his own bitcoin bank compatible with the system. Disadvantages: ---------------- - No real authentification (anybody can fake Joe Pal and pay for him. But does it make sense to forbid that ?) - Someone using the bitcoin adress manually could use it multiple times and you will always see the same message. Ich würde mit dem Nachkaufen von Bitcoins noch etwas warten, zumindest bis Sonntag Abend. Eine Kauforder mit Preis 310.12 USD wartet schon, für den Fall das es einen kurzen Ausschlag nach unten gibt.  Fall der Preis unter 360 fällt, wird diese Order angepaßt. Ich kann es kaum erwarten, bis es endlich Mitternacht ist, da machen meine Bots ein neues Logfile auf, und ich kann das Logfile des heutigen Tages auswerten. Bis jetzt haben sie 550 Trades an BTC-e und 180 bei CEX.IO gemacht, die Auswertung wird heute etwas länger dauern.  oh mann. Hört sich nicht so an als würdest du deine Gewinne versteuern. |

Chrome does not support NPAPI plugins. This will be resolved with Trezor bridge, when it is released. Trezor plugin does not work in Chrome.
I use the Trezor plugin in Chrome for Windows and Mac and works perfectly on both. I believe they may have been talking about Chrome on Linux. Older version (also on linux) support NPAPI and work. It's a recent change to do away with it. |

How often can I play?Everything! It is better to split cash (1/3..6) and do as much tries as possible. If many tries are possible a gambler would probably do martingale. In the end that doesn't change much regarding odds, though,... mostly the time it takes to finish. That's why I said: bet it all on first go and be done with it. As long as one has a means of earning income and not much funds, this makes the most sense imo. If you're old and already have enough money, why gamble at all? |

@molecular: Warum benutzt du kein Armory? Meines Wissens nach bietet es doch alle Vorteile, die du bei Trezor vermisst?
Hab Armory schon länger nicht mehr angeschaut. Hab mal 10 BTC damit an einen miner geschickt (als fee, war aber meine eigene Schuld). Vielleicht rührt daher eine gewisse Abneigung ;-). Ich bin mir jetzt nicht ganz sicher, welche Vorteile armory hat, welche ich am Trezor vermisse. |

^^supi! ich bin gespannt auf die handhabung mit electrum.
Is meiner Ansicht nach wirklich vernünftig implementiert: Man sieht alle (relevanten) Adressen dargestellt als baum. Oberste Ebene ist "Account" (analog mytrezor.com). Darunter Gibt's Receiving addresses (wiederum mit unterteilung "Used" für benutzte) und "Change" für's Wechselgeld. Saubere Sache. Ansonsten funktioniert alles handling wie bisher im electrum auch. Was allerdings noch fehlt sind die maintenance-funktionen wie "wipe", "firmware update", "restore seed",... aber das kann man erstmal noch mit mytrezor.com erledigen. |

Wollte Bitcoin/Satoshi/Whoever das wirklich? Ich glaube nicht, dass es jemals Plan der Sache war, ein kommunistisches Utopia auf Bitcoin aufzubauen.
So war es nicht gemeint. Ging darum, dass es sicher sein sollte. Das ist es für die meisten nur in der Theorie möglich. TREZOR! (sorry, ich kann das einfach nicht lassen) kann man TREZOR schon grössere mengen anvertrauen? bisher gibt es nur das webinterface, keine wallets die TREZOR unterstützen, oder? was ist wenn das webinterface down ist und man an die BTC rankommen muss? Bin gerade am helfen (v.a. testing) mit electrum trezor. Release steht an. Benutze bereits jetzt nichts anderes mehr als electrum + trezor (abgesehen von mycelium für unterwegs und meine bisherige selbergebastelte cold-storage Lösung). Auch einen guten Teil der coins aus der alten cold-storage-Lösung hab ich bereits auf den Trezor rübergeschoben. Ist nicht schwer der Sache zu vertrauen: Den BIP32 seed (ohne zugehöriger passphrase) hab ich an mehreren Orten auf Papier und notfalls kann ich andere Wallets (oder Mathematik) benutzen um an die coins zu kommen. Mir die coins vom trezor zu klauen dürfte ziemlich schwierig werden. Am einfachsten wäre wohl mir 'nen keylogger zu installieren und ein seed-backup zu klauen (beim trezor braucht man ja auch noch die PIN). Daß der trezor nicht so sicher ist wie ordentliche cold-storage, ist klar. Muss er auch nicht. Sicherer als ein wallet auf 'nem online-Rechner ist er aber allemal. Jedenfalls hab ich keine Angst die coins zu verlieren. Mit electrum ist der trezor echt super: Endlich wieder stabile backend-infrastruktur und "coin control"-features, was mytrezor.com lieber gelassen hat, wg. Komplexität. Es gibt übrigens auch ein label-plugin, welches die Bezeichnungen von Adressen und Transaktionen verschlüsselt auf einem zentralen Server speichert, so daß diese über mehrere Maschinen hinweg immer schön synchron sind. Das war immer so ein Problem bisher. |
