Sorry in advance if this is a dumb question, but as i keep sending BTC to mytrezor, do i need to be occasionally connecting the actual trezor? Does that backup the BTC to the actual trezor?  Like let's say for instance, the computer im using crashes and I havent connected the trezor in awhile, if i install the browser plug in on a different computer, and then hook up the physical trezor, will the BTC actually be there even though it hadnt been synced since my computer crashed?

Addresses on your trezor are deterministically derived from a seed. They arnt actually "on" the trezor. The bitcoins are on the blockchain. So long as you have the seed, than you can produce at any time as many of the addresses in that series as you feel like computing.

If one can not confer upon another a right which he does not himself first possess, by what means does the state derive the right to engage in behaviors from which the public is prohibited?

you don't have to backup periodically

you just have to keep the mnemonic seed safe(the words you are given the first time)

that is the only backup you have to do. With the mnemonic you will always be able to restore your bitcoins

For some reason when I go to send a transaction the send button stays greyed out even though I have the Trezor plugged in and it's recognized.

Any ideas?

No, it doesn't, I've tried multiple browsers as well with no avail.

I love the Trezor slush (and team) and I think you did a very good job at making a slick and ultra secure wallet! I still dream of a battery/solar powered Trezor that is wireless and perhaps uses NFC.  Wink

Yes, it was resolved.

It seems, when you fill the address and amount in the send tab first and then try to choose an account to sent the payment from, it blocks the sending operation.

oh, i never tried your order of operations; always selecting account first, then proceeding with payment.
good to know it's resolved now.

Was anyone successful in getting the Trezor to run with Google Chrome 37 on Ubuntu 13.10? I've installed the plugin on my first visit on mytrezor.com (64bit .deb), but always get the message to install the plugin.
It seems to work in Firefox, but it takes ages to come up with the user interface, it shows a white page for three minutes at least.

Any help is very much appreciated!

EDIT: Also runs in Chromium 34. Firefox and Chromium show the plugin when opening about:plugins, Google Chrome doesn't...

Chrome does not support NPAPI plugins. This will be resolved with Trezor bridge, when it is released. Trezor plugin does not work in Chrome.

Oh ok, would be great to see this somewhere on mytrezor.com...
Guess I'll have to stick with Chromium then.

Thanks for the fast reply klokan!

It is a great product, it works and I suggest you get one.

If you just read back a few pages you will see there is a general consensus that the product works.

Our family was terrorized by Homeland Security.  Read all about it here:  http://www.jmwagner.com/ and http://www.burtw.com/  Any donations to help us recover from the $300,000 in legal fees and forced donations to the Federal Asset Forfeiture slush fund are greatly appreciated!

See my posts above, it doesn't work in Chrome  Tongue
But fun aside, once you got the plugin for your browser installed, it works quite well. I don't have it set up for a long time, but setting up the device is easy and the process is very well described. I've done a few transactions already and everything worked flawlessly.

The source code is available (here) and so far no vulnerabilities have been reported AFAIK. The device uses BIP32 so hopefully as time passes more and more wallets will support the TREZOR.

I'm having a problem with the mytrezor website. Whenever I send a payment out, in the transactions list it is showing presumably my change address instead of the address I sent payment to.
