ok - if 10 BTC is min bid then I'm out - but if OP will accept 1 GH bids then
I increase my bid to 1GH @ 2.2 BTC
I will let Cycloid decide what he wants to do about this, but for now the minimum bid is for 5 Gh, sorry mate.

|
|
2 GH @ 1.924 BTC
5 Gh is the minimum bid as per Cycloid. This bid will not count. Sorry mate, you're welcome to bump it up to 5 Gh if you want tho. Sorry my bad
1 GH @ 2 BTC
Please retract previous bids
Again, see above 5 Gh is the minimum amount of Gh people are allowed to bid on.

|
|
bit complicated - but the way I read it is how many BTC are you willing to bid for 5GH - yes?
I will not count your bid if you want to detract it since you didn't understand the bidding process. Each bid should be in the following style: Gh wanted @ Price per 1 Gh

Need to get you a better provider, TXU is charging me $0.083 Well, all my family is here and this is home, and unfortunately the city I live in has a monopoly on power, so I can't choose our provider and shop around. The fee I am charging is too small for colocation to be considered. I have looked into it and it is very expensive for 5600watts of collocation. Although, my electric rates are about average IMO. A lot of people pay more.

I wonder if this is the result of them recently being contacted by a firm specializing in class action suits...
Probably, this was my first thought when I saw BFL was asking people to "confirm" their orders. AKA. save BFL from a huge lawsuit... but OK, this is BFL... let's call it a "confirmation of your order."
|
|
|
Wow, wasn't expecting to hear from them. They said we had to confirm our orders or they would be canceled. But now when I try to log into their website, it is down . Everyone else get this e-mail? This is them not wanting to get sued. By "confirming" your order, you are have to basically waiving any legal rights you have to sue them for their false promises.

I missed this earlier... hilarious! IF they were mining with the chips, they wouldn't be so stupid to do it on their own pools or under their own names.
Is it possible to see/track the origins of blocks generated by looking at BlockChain.info? There was a guy a day or two ago on BFL forums and Reddit claiming that he saw a ton of Blocks coming from Kansas. The accusation coming from the guy on Reddit was that it was BFL using mining hardware. You can use this site to look at the last 2000+ blocks found: http://blockorigin.pfoe.be/blocklist.phpFind the ones that were found by an "unkown" entity. Click on the blockchain link to see the information of that block located on the far right. It says what IP address found that block on that page on blockchain.info "relayed by: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx". Then you would need to proceed to look up where that IP is located at a web site like this one: http://www.iplocation.net/Oooohh, Thanks. I have the perfect software to sort through this. Will start chewing on it to see what I find. No problem. Thanks for keeping BFL in check

DramaAlways drama going on in this subforum. I got tired of debating this stuff months ago and only pop in to voice my opinion every now and then. BFL has been quiet since they received their new PCB last Friday. I'm speculating that the power problem was not fixed with this revision, otherwise they'd have shown it off by now in pics or a video. I hope all you debaters (and some of you masterdebaters ) are doing well, Cheers, Ch

I like it, although using Chinese lettering makes it seem like it was made by/for Chinese people. Not that that is a bad thing (I like Chinese people myself), but it may limit the target audience.
Maybe perhaps use a font that is not immediately associated with China or any other nation?
Just my humble opinion..
I applaud the effort to create a design for PPCoin, which is IMO one of the more promising ALTs out there today. Definately more innovative than ChinaCoin or FeatherCoin.

Doesn't anybody see a problem with this inflation of coins? It doesn't matter if the coins themselves are capped if you get a new coin every day. We can only hope they all fail in their infancy, otherwise the whole cryptocurrency world will end up in a hyperinflation that will be much worse than your average fiat inflation.
Yes, a lot of other members have posted these concerns myself included. But, everyone just wants to be an early adopter so bad they ignore all the problems that these new coins bring, and ignore the fact that these new coins bring no new innovation or value to the crypto coin community. Don't speak your opinion about Feathercoin though, the feathercoiners will brush you aside as a troll and forum ignore you (as most of them have done to me).

All I see is 36 pages of him not posting, so people are calling it: he fled.
It's been less than 24 hours since he posted the OP. Some people have a life..
|
|
|
Why CNC, though? Chinese National Coin?
The OP seems to have fled. The coin doesn't look too promising. I guess everybody is stocking up in case it becomes popular in China He was just here to post the OP last night... I don't get how people can already say that he fled or abandoned the coin or isn't giving any updates, etc. ChinaCoin is just as promising as Feathercoin. They are the same thing with a different name.

1 second blocks would make for an extremely bloated block chain. Bitcoin's block chain is already nearing 7000 Mb and it's only a few years old, and its blocks are found 599 seconds slower than your idea.
This starts to be a problem when you increase block speed like some of the newer currencies. Feathercoin and Chinacoin block chain's will be extremely bloated if they are around long. Eventually it could take days to weeks to download their block chains.

Feathercoin will be fine, as long as people don't rush onto the next coin and it continues to get a following. Look at BBQ coin, that one is still going strong isn't it?
The only time BBQ coin is brought up on these forums is when someone wants to dump their worthless stash of them on some other poor sucker. Feathercoin will soon be forgotten, just like the countless copy cat chains that came before it and the new one's that are popping up now. The only ALT coin that is "going strong" at the moment is Litecoin, all others are fighting for survival and could be worthless in a month. That's why I think it's stupid all you new guys hopped on the Feathercoin bandwagon. I guess you don't understand how many new coins are being released all the time. Here we are a week later and there is China Coin now. There will be more and more as time goes on, we should only support the ones that provide innovation from prior coins, not copy cats.
