3101  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Electricity at 0 cost with this development on: September 01, 2013, 03:13:08 AM
With this type of energy the mining cost in the future is possible be 0
motor magnetico argentino
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sAIG0-lNSEs

At best the energy out will equal energy in. (The energy used to start and maintain the devices speed)

Lets put it this way, there are no magnetic spinning wheels that just turn forever.

In 99.9999% of cases some energy will be lost from friction, the electrical generation system, etc...

3102  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Delete addresses in bitcoin qt(sortof) on: August 31, 2013, 06:50:10 PM
I would suggest the option be called "hide" because thats all you really want.

So: right click address > click "hide" from drop down menu.

Maybe have a button at the bottom that shows all addresses that you have hidden. (obviously this will not show all addresses because all the change addresses would confuse the user a lot)

Eventually a coin control feature in the default client would make managing addresses easier perhaps by allowing tags and filters (tag certain addresses as one use etc...)

Also maybe allow the user to move certain addresses to a different wallet. (When the default client can handle multiple wallets) (so a user could have a wallet just for one time addresses, another wallet for those permanent addresses that are locked at exchanges and such, and etc...)

We're due for another selloff soon.

 Grin

In your dreams, we are going above 0.004 in a matter of hours.

How do you work out when the next retarget is going to be?
3105  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: August 31, 2013, 11:31:02 AM
For the test run we opted for QFP packaging, 44 pin, no exposed heat pad, here is a small preview :

I was wondering: why is the "labcoin" so pixelated?

Till I realized that the picture is zoomed. This might be a proper size comparison:

They seem to come rolled ready for a pick and place machine like here: http://youtu.be/OQY3Y8shBY8?t=3m28s

Smaller means better. I think we will be hitting 0.004 in minutes!
3106  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: August 31, 2013, 11:14:49 AM
This stock is going up! I have already bought back in as I think its impossible at this point for the price to go below 0.0034. I'm so happy. Smiley
3107  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTCT.CO] [IPO-cancelled] BTCGARDEN MINER---Eyes to the horizon on: August 30, 2013, 07:33:11 PM
How does anyone make money off BTCGARDEN?

Garden returns to being a private company where only the private interests (founders, private investors, early stage employees with stock options) will gain. By definition the public can not gain from a private security. (Unless the public purchases a product that security will develop and sell (miners))

You could perhaps talk to Garden about becoming a private investor if you hold several million dollars and are willing to risk the whole lot.

In a few years, it will be interesting to see estimates of how many people were swindled from their money and how much changed hands due to the manipulation of these "infantile" exchanges (meaning that they haven't reached maturity or stability yet).

The only people being swindled from their money are the monkeys that are going to sell me cheap shares below 0.003 in the coming days. Tongue

did labcoin started paying the biweekly dividend? if not does anyone know when they plan to? sorry if it was already asked.

No dividend yet. We can expect dividends mid september if/once they start hashing.
3110  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: August 30, 2013, 06:02:18 PM

As long as it stays above 0.003 for the weekend I'll be happy.

Good luck. I am certain my buy orders between 0.002 and 0.0028 will be filled over the weekend.

3112  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: August 29, 2013, 08:16:35 PM
I don't think Labcoin can be worth 10x the entire supply of Bitcoins.
well, they CAN, but they won't.

that number was from this thing they call humor.  You may have heard of it.

Come on pal, the medication thing was a joke too! :p

However on a more serious note, if Labcoin is denominated in Bitcoin there will be a limit to how much a mining company can be worth. (unless they start mining other coins at some point)

Because the pie is in Bitcoin and the pie will get smaller and smaller on each reward halving there is a upper limit in Bitcoins to the potential valuation of all mining companies.

Of course there is no real limit on the dollar valuation of these companies. Labcoin could one day be worth 10 billion usd. But never 100 million btc.

What's the most active security on MPOE..........?

.......... Its MPOE!

That alone tells us everything we need to know about MPOE and MPOE-PR
3114  Economy / Lending / Re: [CLOSED] CoinLenders on: August 29, 2013, 08:08:12 PM
well, is it actually closing, or is it just another change in policy to avoid prosecution?

are all investments going from play money to a demonstration?

if it is closing, is there some timeline to remove funds? or will they automatically be sent to inputs.io?

additionally, what was coinlenders invested in and how much? what effects has the liquidation of all those investments had?

If they are closing down its likely TF has been liquefying the securities over the past few weeks. Dumping all at once would lose TF so much money.

I suspect most of the customers funds at this point are simply Bitcoins and nothing else.
3115  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: August 29, 2013, 08:05:41 PM
I think we'll see LC hit 10 btc, now.

Ok ok ok.

I think its time for the medication.

10btc per share equals a valuation of 100,000,000 Bitcoin.

I don't think Labcoin can be worth 10x the entire supply of Bitcoins.
3116  Economy / Lending / Re: CoinLenders :: Get bitcoin loans, and get fee rebates on your deposits! on: August 29, 2013, 07:47:01 PM
Due to growing regulatory attention on Bitcoin, CoinLenders regrettably has decided to close it's service. As detailed on the site, everything was fictional anyway.

We're now selling the CoinLenders script and we have a fully functional demo instance available here. It has been filled with real world data, take a look!

I have a CD with Coinlenders that's not due to mature until October 19th.  Since you're shutting the site down, I'd like my money back now.

Interesting. Do you get the mature CD or just how much it has gained up until this point?

OMG DID YOU HEAR LABCOIN FAKED THE MOON LANDING!?

Damn you Ytterbium! You know what Labcoin "investors" are like!

Looks like we are going back down to 0.002!!
3118  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: August 29, 2013, 05:10:47 PM
I will post more chip images, pictures of running miners, specs, documentation etc. as soon as it becomes available. I would also like to point out that the 'TheSwede' on bitbet.us is NOT me. I have made if clear before and I stick by the fact that I do NOT trade, bet or in any other way personally profit off any access to news or events regarding Labcoin. Doing so would in my opinion be unfair and dishonest. I also will not ever comment on development or share price etc. through personal messages or emails in any form.

No, you are not betting on it because you know it's a scam.

Your entire "asset" consists of Burnside pasting fake trades to create an illusion of interest, and that's all.

Wow.

If it was a scam TheSwede would have bet to prove it wasn't, betting 20 Bitcoin to change the odds would have been a good expense if this was a scam.

Admittedly I thought this was a scam too but now I think TheSwede and Labcoin have came through.

I used to have a little respect for Mircea, and I know you are not him you're the twat that ruins what little reputation MPOE has left.

But I think no one can respect Mircea any longer because he made a massive mistake with you. I am gobsmacked he is ok with you prancing around on the forums like this.
3119  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Anonymous Bitcoin Transactions with Coinjoin on: August 29, 2013, 04:48:53 PM
So will combining multiple transactions also help with blockchain bloat / sustainablity? Or would the size of the coinjoined transactions be much the same as the separate ones?

No not really, because if it was not for the intention of making this transaction to mix the coins then this transaction would not happen. So its not really cutting down on bloat.

On the plus side, this would be a normal sized transaction so its not going to do any harm.
