3101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The path to mass adoption of crypto on: September 15, 2021, 05:42:53 AM
I have met many projects that state that they have an ambition to spread all over the world. Talking about ways how projects can make many people aware of their work is to run a big marketing campaign.
Marketing one project is not mass adoption of cryptocurrency but a specific currency only. I have not seen bitcoin-based awareness programs but altcoin specific events. It shows that developers only care for their own project but dont spread bitcoin's name while they take investments in bitcoin. Roll Eyes

Quote
They should attract celebrities and big partners.
Having a celeb is both good and bad. Firstly we have seen many celebs come in this sector and get ripped off their reputation because the project went bankrupt. We dont want more Floyd backed Centra scams my friend. In most cases these celebs dont even have the brains to understand what crypto is and how it works. They are only paid promoters, which is not a good thing IMO.

Because when the project tanks the real owners will go missing while the celeb will be attacked everywhere on social media.
3102  Economy / Speculation / Re: Microsteel keeps buying into BTC on: September 15, 2021, 05:34:22 AM
Apparently the current daily bitcoin trading volume is about 800k btc so theoretically if they sell their 100k btc within a couple of weeks for example, it shouldn't be noticeable.
I am more of the opinion that big institutions only give out news of when they are buying but only after that and they do not give out the news of when they are selling unless they have a reason to. They are more likely to sell of in portions slowly as the market rises after the news hits. They are in it for the profit and they know how to make it. Older bitcoin traders who have been watching the market have already figured this out.

Of course as long as the desired profit is crossed they will continue to FOMO the newbies into buying more and then wait for the crash to happen once again.

Celebs do the same thing too, just that some celebs have a big mouth. I am sure you have understood the pattern by now.
3103  Economy / Speculation / Re: Microsteel keeps buying into BTC on: September 14, 2021, 08:28:57 AM
Microsteel bought +5050 more Bitcoin statistics, this company now owns a total of: 114,042 Bitcoins.
Scary what they can do with all that money isnt it? How much did you manage to squeeze from your wallet and buy?

Quote
When they continuously buy Bitcoin in stages will it cause BTC to break ATH again?
If someone buys, someone dumps too. That is how the cycle is maintained. If ATH is broken, people will dump and exit and therefore a correction will happen. It can reach ATH but, IMO will also drop. Unless someone else also wants to keep buying.

What do you expect for BTC at the end of 2021?
I do not expect anything for bitcoin. Having expectations only effects how you trade. Rather look into the things happening and if they are bullish buy now and sell when it rises. We still have three months remaining and the Winter is unpredictable for the market. So better keep both fiat and BTC ready.
3104  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin trading got to do with profit and lose,is it true? on: September 14, 2021, 08:23:45 AM
From so many points of views, Bitcoin (BTC) trading is investing with the aim of making profit and making gain,
Trading and investing are two different terms, though used interchangeably often in this forum. Strictly speaking, traders points to those who are day trading. Hodlers mostly come under investors and so does those users who tend to for with altcoin presales hoping for a price rise to dump.

Quote
I have understood it purpose and it is vulnerable to it's stakers.
No idea what you meant by that. Staking is a different thing. You stake an asset in order to gain something. It is a type of investing but not commonly seen in bitcoin. Some companies might give you "passive income" for staking your coins with them. It is like giving them a loan.

Quote
for one to stake means he/she is ready to profit or lose.
Staking usually is profitable but the ROI might take a longer time. If you are not willing to invest, you can try it. Previously we have had casinos that allowed users to invest on their bankroll - not very common now.

But if you staking in some POS shitcoin, then I would not recommend it.
3105  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Telegram giftcards on discount. on: September 14, 2021, 08:11:42 AM
Sadly, there is nothing more that can be done for this.

You see when you take the deal to a known scammer, you are taking the risk. If you are that naive, probably new to this forum too, this should be a lesson for you. 20$ is a big amount in some countries exchange rate, so I hope you manage to get through it.

Cashapp is a service, that I have never used. Is there any chance you could contact their support if they have any and explain the situation to them? If the app is used for sending bitcoin, then of course there is no method to reverse that.
3106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which one is Best Alts or Defi Coin? on: September 14, 2021, 08:03:01 AM
Actually, from the past few years the Defi Coins are very popular b/w the investors, but I am confused Is Defi bes Best from Alts?
When Altcoins first came there were discussions on which was best - bitcoin or altcoin, today you know the answer is bitcoin, even if you might deny it. Then came questions on which altcoin among all altcoins was best - answer was none, but people did not like that but today you know even that is true.

So now we have the same question on DeFi. Answer remains same, only bitcoin is the one which is best. Altcoins are shitcoins that have no intrinsic value and those projects running the name of DeFi to run stablecoins and lending pools are more or less the same waste of time and money that altcoins are.

In case you are misinformed, only wannabe traders get into altcoins and they get rekt pretty quickly too and stop trading. The one who remain for long know that bitcoin is the only coin to buy and any other "New project" coming up is a time waster money grabber.
3107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A good man/woman leaves an inheritance on: September 13, 2021, 06:46:26 AM
That depends, there are people who are poor but they can't leave inheritance, are they not good people? Because you've got it all wrong, some people always forget the fact that not everyone is as privileged like us to the point that they have to worry about inheritance.
I dont think that is what the OP meant. People who are poor will not be likely to invest in bitcoin. After all, you need a working electricity supply, a working internet and a working smartphone to be able to buy/sell bitcoin and in major cases, poorer population do not have the luxury of this sort.

They are more likely to pass on their children with what fiat they already own. I think there is no problem in that. In future if they are able to get a better living condition they may be able to buy their bitcoin. But defenitely not something that one should do as a risky move, because they are already poor.

i hope there is one project that will provide passive income and that he can only withdraw the earnings and not the whole investment. this way he will continue to receive and not lose anything.
That is a fixed deposit. I would keep that into the fiat category and till date, I dont think there are much of such worthy passive income methods like that. One good investment that could run such numbers was a casino bankroll investment, but few casinos do that anymore.
3108  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How to raise funds for your project? on: September 13, 2021, 06:35:45 AM
How can I raise funds for my Play 2 earn game project? Def not millions  Grin
P2E is the new hype that is starting out.

My suggestion would be to go with the beta project first, pitch it to private investors - that is angel investors first. Using that capital start your team and get the marketing out there and announce a public offering.

You might not be getting millions but you should get enough to start off. In a way the private investors will have their own lock in period at which point they will sell off their stakes and after that the project has to run with some sort of inherent demand creation - possibly an in game currency which most users hate. But it is like that if you cant think of anything better.
3109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Can you suggest the most universal crypto exchange ? on: September 13, 2021, 06:31:38 AM
I simply cannot find universal one which would mark up all above boxes...
And the reason is because you are looking for a near "ideal" exchange which sadly, does not exist and will probably never exist either.

You have to try out different exchanges and see which one fits you the most. Every exchange is more or less likely to suffer from some cons and have some pros. You have to make the decision about which one to go with. Personally I think customer service and quick communication to users about problems are more important while ease of deposits and withdrawal come second.

Low trading fees is another lacking feature in most exchanges. You will likely be paying a lot more if you do small exchanges regularly.

Have you tried any of the above mentioned exchanges yet or are you looking to start off? If the second one, I would suggest start with Binance.
3110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: This bull makes all alts will make new all time highs on: September 13, 2021, 06:19:45 AM
Almost everyone believes that bitcoin will cross the one trillion mark by the end of this year, if you look at the normal market conditions in the last few months, all observers start predicting this with the strengthening of various economists.
Ok but how do they know what can happen in future because they have been proven wrong several times. All they do is pump the market, sell their coins and exit in order make a fool of the bulls and and newbies who end up buying at the high. Does that sound familiar?

Of course the price can rise, nobody is saying against, but begin delligent about how much you trust someone's words against your own is all the more important here.

Quote
Likewise with Altcoins, if bitcoin conditions are good and normal and the market is supportive, then altcoin opportunities are also very good at the end of this year, although not all altcoins can have a good impact on the market, but in general this is quite promising for altcoins and bitcoins.
I beg to differ, but having seen the altcoins and their price changes, they only follow bitcoin and never actually make any impact on the market in the long run. They may be good for you if you are a day trader, but for the long term hodlers they are not worth putting the money in.
3111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A good man/woman leaves an inheritance on: September 12, 2021, 09:37:47 AM
I recon that in the coming years folks are going to will their wallet seed and passphrases to their family members, their favorite charity, and even their kids unborn. As an investor or crypto trader is this a legacy you would want to leave behind?
Definitely something that one needs to do if they are saving bitcoin in their lifetime. To make sure their future generations can also have something to start their journey with.

I am yet to see any such wills made that maker the next of kin owner of their parents bitcoin, but I am sure in the next 20-30 years depending on how bitcoin gains in price and popularity this may become a new thing.

But the more important thing is teaching your children on being diligent about expenditure and saving. If they dont learn these traits they will never be able to grow that stash that one has amassed. They will likely squander it away. This is common in fiat inheritance too.
3112  Economy / Economics / Re: How would Bitconia look like? on: September 12, 2021, 09:30:58 AM
However, I am inclined to think that bitcoin needs a country.
The internet is the country of bitcoin in a broader sense. Bitcoin is free to be used by anyone who chooses to and therefore does not need a landmass to seperate its users into a closed space. Instead they should be open and open-minded in order to teach no-coiners about its uses and help them get used to bitcoin.

Was that not what Satoshi envisioned?

Quote
The value of bitcoin, the community and the influence that exerts could potentially make that possible when bitcoin reaches an even higher valuation (perhaps it would be possible even now).
Not the thing that I would want. Moreover taking these things to such mainstream levels will only get branded as "Cultish" and draw more negative influence.

Besides, we also have to take into account the "other bitcoin" out there and its followers who openly oppose Bitcoin "core" or any such self-named terms.

Quote
How would Bitconia look like? How would we get there?
By the click of a button you can get online, IMO.
3113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do i follow the moves of a successful trader??? on: September 12, 2021, 09:24:47 AM
im trying this trading thing but its not working out so good. every single time i buy something, it completely tanks.
So you had a reason to buy that which just tanked? Chances are you are beign fed bullshit by some pump and dump group and they are dumping their coins on you. Very common and legit scamming method of taking money from newbie traders.

Quote
is there a way to follow the trades real time of a successful trader without using twitter??

1. You dont need to follow a trader to be a trader.
2. Twitter and any social media for that instance is the worst place to get information about crypto. They are the breeding grounds for shills and you will only get misled there.

Quote
also just bought solana and ankr so i would completely stay away from those for awehile, already tanking bigtime
Pretty much some pumped coins. You will gradually understand that even after promises and development all these projects are worth nothing in reality compared to bitcoin. The sooner you understand that buying bitcoin would have given you much better returns, the better.

Dont follow anyone in the internet when it comes to speculative assets. Nobody is your friend there.
3114  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you want to quit trading ? on: September 10, 2021, 09:39:32 AM
So I would say the people who have entered exchanging won't ever escape exchanging. Envision attempting to bring in cash on the unstable market sets to cover bills and you can't deal with the stop misfortune hit by the current market cost.
I dont take it so seriously. If you are going to trade, you have to assume you will lose some and gain some. But comparing trading to the endless cycle of gambling is not correct. Of course it can be a type of a luck based game - in reality trading needs skills and is an EV+ game unlike gambling on dice which is EV-

Now you may feel that losing money in trading would demotivate you, but if you are putting money in the correct price and in the correct coin which is none other than bitcoin, you will not face such problems.

While I can only assume that you had taken up altcoins in your previous attempts, I would suggest you to try going for bitcoin but at lower prices and see how that unfolds. Just think of it yourself, if you bought bitcoin back at 3000USD and you are now selling at this price - would that not have been profitable?
3115  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are your trading strategies ? on: September 10, 2021, 09:33:50 AM
This is the most difficult thing in trading, buy at a low price and sell high, since no one knows exactly where this high and low are. Therefore, it happens that after buying, as it seemed earlier at a low price, we observe how the price continues to fall. And, accordingly, vice versa...
I think it can be done if you are setting buying levels and not a specific price only to buy at. Suppose you want to buy at x$ then setting buy orders at prices lower than x is also an option. Hence when the price falls even lower, you can keep buying - this will translate to more selling positions available to you when you sell.

You will never be able to reach the complete low because someone will buy it no matter what and then raise the price. Again you cannot reach the ultimate high. So sell when your selling point is reached, it does not have to be an all time high. But recycling like this will help make money.
3116  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think financial stability is mandatory to be a gainer in Bitcoin invest? on: September 09, 2021, 06:13:27 AM
Rich people become rich day by day, I think it was because of their mentality. A rich people are not afraid of losses. They always learn from it so that they won't fail next time. So they became sucessful each day.
One can always look back into the history of rich people and if they are critical enough - they will be able to understand how a rich person actually became "rich". Not everyone is born rich, many people become rich because of their actions. Hence it is wrong to assume that they are not afraid of losses. Rather the truth is that they have learnt from being poor at one time and now they are not spending their money in things they dont need.

Risk taking attitude can be present in any person be it rich or poor. When someone has earned their money from hard work, be it rich or poor, they will have more attachment to their wealth and will not waste it. But someone who got that money from illegal methods will always want to spend it away and take more risks with it.

Again rich does not equal financially stable. Rich or poor is a relative term. Financially stable is theoretical term which depends on how you manage your earning and expenditure.
3117  Other / Meta / Re: No Incoming my messages on: September 09, 2021, 06:04:31 AM
Although this is a slightly old topic, I think we are forgetting one specific case here which lead to many users complaining that their posts got removed without any auto generated message from the forum, which is usually the case when mods/self-mod OPs remove your post.

When I quote a post and reply to that, I might be including some users whom I would want to reply to - but then someone reports one of those posts that I quoted and the quoted post if removed would mean that my post where a quote was present would also get removed.

Simply put
User A makes a post>User B quotes User A and replies.

Now some other User C reports A's post and its removed. This will lead to User B's reply to be removed too.

Happened with me a couple of time before, so I remember this.
3118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Choosing the right time for profit on: September 09, 2021, 05:58:37 AM
The profit taking between traders and investors is different, but in principle it must have the price target. Before we buy/sell in the market, we must have a careful plan so that we can stay in the market for a long time.
Usually the terms investor and trader are different. Trader is one who regularly trades based on indicators and investors are ones who look for projects to put their money in. However in this market, both terms are often used as synonyms.

But the only plan you need is to buy at low and sell at high. You can be in the market for a long time if you place your orders with proper intuition backing them.

Quote
The market is very dynamic. No one in this world can accurately predict the direction of the market. If you are absolutely sure of the prospects of the portfolio you hold, then I don’t recommend selling everything. If you are not sure, it is best to take all profits and mix in a new portfolio that is still promising. The market will always go through a "bearish-sideways-bullish" cycle, so we need to learn to take profit/stop loss.
Your last statement does not match with the first two. When you take profit, you will have to sell - then why you recommending not selling at all? That is the stubbornness mistake that traders sometimes do in the first few months.

Creating new portfolio entries is not a good thing. The more altcoins you put in, the more risk you are carrying. Crypto should mean only bitcoin. Diversification should mean fiat markets and not altcoins. These are the only things a current generation person should look into. Anything else is bogus.
3119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Centra Tech: Founders Sentenced on: September 09, 2021, 05:53:04 AM
This is a learning experience for everyone since it's almost impossible to go after these people, we just have to learn how to diversify our investments.
Or better yet, dont invest in any altcoins at all. Follow a zero altcoin policy when investing and you should be good. I cannot see any bitcoin maximalist falling prey of such scams/disguised scams unless they waste their coins for nothing.

As a learning experience it costs you money and leaves you with a lot of bad memories and frustration which is a bad thing but you have to cope with it. I can only imagine how dreadful such a situation would be to someone new to crypto. First coin they invest in because they are fan of MMA and that coin turns out to be a scam. Maybe the fans of Floyd would have invested in it and they got ripped off nicely.

Hopefully in future with regulation, such scams will become more legally approachable.
3120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The path to mass adoption of crypto on: September 08, 2021, 06:33:56 AM
So, which crypto project do you know that has a real plan to expand globally and increase the mass adoption of your project and crypto in general?
Bitcoin.

We dont need any more crypto "projects" to defame the name of crypto. Truely speaking, bitcoin has all the ingredients needed to be able to the economy and altcoins can only remain on the sidelines to help out a sidekicks. Tongue

As you can already see, those stores that till date accept crypto keep bitcoin as first option. So you know now how the mass adoption is going to start and run.

We have seen many other blockchains attempt to take over this, but they have all failed miserably. Only because they have a human backing them who wants to make profit, while bitcoin is completely decentralized.

It seems to see that most of the replies above are promoting the Divi project.
It is a group of spammers. Make sure you report their posts as "Offtopic" and they will get taken down. Dont give any attention to them.
