3121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: January 18, 2022, 12:51:58 PM
Tried watching the fights of Mark Magsayo, I can say he doesn't have the one-punch knock-out strength like the champ Russell. The fight is close to unifying WBO and WBC featherweight and Russel who is considered to have the fastest hand and can deliver a counter punch will likely win over Magsayo. This is just what the sportsbook is saying which they have the Russell Gary 1.22.

Good luck to us this weekend. If I only have $5 to bet, I'd go for Magsayo, we'll never know if an upset can happen. This is the 6th time Russel is defending this title, he must be tired and wants to go up to fight Crawford.

Magsayo has a knockout punch so there's a possibility of an upset, in one of the news conferences Russell noted that Magsayo did have a knock out power but none of this matters if he cannot hit the target, Russell is fast furious he overwhelms his opponents with a flurry of punches, I also read one local analyst that some of Magsayo's past opponents are cherry-picked for him by his promoters and the Ceja fight is his biggest fight to date, he will have his hands full against Russell, I'm also hoping for an upset just like what Magsato did to Ceja.

I'd love when the champion is trying to underestimate his opponnent. Yes, Russell is good but he should not underestimate Magsayo because they are both professionals and Magsayo continues to train and improve, in fact, he is still an undefeated fighter until now, Russell should take note of that.
3122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Brazilian mayor to reportedly invest 1% of city funds in Bitcoin on: January 17, 2022, 02:15:51 PM
As much as this sounds good for the crypto community, am hoping that the mayor is not acting ultravires which could land the mayor in problems and in the process give bitcoin a bad name. But if his acting within his powers then this is good news Smiley and hope this investment pays well with time.
Yes, it's true I have the same thoughts as you, what I'm afraid of is that he hides behind the word "bitcoin" especially if it is used for his own political interests. I think all bitcoin users welcome this, as long as it doesn't make bitcoin a bad name in the wider community later.
Then, I hope not but instead to have a clear statement in regards to funding 1% investment for Bitcoin. If the intent is to use for his political will, that surely it brought him in question and ruin his image. But I guess, he doesn't have the intent like that, maybe he is just able to see what this small investment could help for their economy. Although 1% is very small, at least it was a stepping stone to a bigger adoption.
3123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you invest in new projects? on: January 17, 2022, 01:32:45 PM
hello everyone i want to ask that investing in new projects has worth or not because to many scams projects now a days and i am afraid of losing money.

Investing in a new project is still worth it, in fact, I have a second set of portfolios exclusively for new coins, mostly play to earn coins, and blockchain-based projects, as long as you dig deep in the project and you will not feel depressed on the outcome of the project, I don't see any wrong investing in a new coin, it's great to be one of the early bird of one good project where you can make 1000% return after a few months or year of holding, just like what happens to Solana early birds.
Wow, that is good for you mate. You'll be in success not by through luck, well, I guess not but it was because you've made the right choice of picking up legit projects over these thousand of new (fake) projects.

This can't be deniable since many people had made their way good to investing new projects and perhaps, I have made that also but, of course, it doesn't work always, sometimes we've got tricked. I've suffered some losses but still not the reason for not investing again, there are some new projects that are worth trusting.
3124  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin collapse or mature? on: January 16, 2022, 11:31:42 PM
Resistance has been built at the $40.000 mark, I don't believe it crash any further than that. Thus, chances are that we'll experience some time of bear market, staying relatively stable, within $40k-45k level, it has stayed there for quite some time now. To be honest, as it has been mentioned before, I don't really mind, we have a long way ahead of us, at least, for those who are patient enough.
The green we are seeing right now could be a dead cat bouncing as well, we should always be careful about it. I mean it doesn't mean that it will not be impossible for us to go up, it could very well happen but we just need to be careful. So, maybe it is a big increase that helps everyone out and we will not be going any lower at all, or maybe it will be something much worse and it will go down a lot and this was just a fake out.

Well, I don't even feel how bad it is but seeing the market is in the uptrend motion, I then being positive that it even move high than of yesterday rather than thinking it drops again. Of course, we can't ignore those possibilities as we never what will happen next and also the mindset of other people as if they sell their coins, that could be a huge impact on the trend. But, I'd rather not to think it hard, I'm thinking it in the opposite way as many people now are committed to holding than being a panic seller.
3125  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: IS it possible to let your BTC work for you ? on: January 15, 2022, 11:00:12 PM
OP, don\t worry about complying with KYC, that unless if you were using questionable exchanges or platforms. But if you were using reputable one, that is not a problem.

There are a lot of options out there and it would be safer there than wasting a precious Bitcoin. Take Binance for example which had been offering a lot of staking process using new release altcoins.

Yeah and instead of going through the road of probable scam by forcing yourself to look for bitcoin staking etc, you can go with investing in some other coins and that can be better. Likewise you can buy cheap coins in binance and other exchanges. Binance have some cheap coins, apart from Shiba it has others .
That would be better. People who know about Ponzi Scheme will literally not risk any with these platforms, we'd rather not be greedy to money seeing as doubling our money as it never works in real life. Investing, staking, and also trading...we have a lot of options to grow our money and it is just for us which one we believe that it could help us in return.
3126  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pakistani Central banks wants to ban crypto on: January 14, 2022, 09:54:18 PM
We have repeatedly seen that the prohibition of cryptocurrencies in a single country or even several countries cannot affect the spread of cryptocurrencies in the world. Pakistan has previously been hostile to cryptocurrencies. Therefore, the prohibition of cryptocurrency in this state will change practically nothing for the cryptocurrency market.
It will be bad for cryptocurrency if such a decision is made, say, at the G20 summit. If the ban exists in all these states, then the situation for the cryptocurrency will even be difficult to predict.
Perhaps, Pakistan is just like nothing...we are supposed not to worry in the first place, and besides, they are not helping anyway. Banning crypto in their place is not a loss on our side. Cryptocurrencies will continue to grow without them and in fact, even China never has a huge impact on the market.

I know they have the reason for banning crypto in their place and it was respected. This will simply tell us that the spread of crypto is full of challenges, we can't force all the countries to adopt the system, and they also have the right to reject this.
3127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do u think about gambling? on: January 14, 2022, 09:41:48 PM
I want to know the opinion of everyone here on this forum.I know we have different insight about gambling, and I would appreciate hearing your thoughts.

So the question is(What do you think about gambling? Is it a fun ? Or a threat.

Purely just was for fun for me. I usually go out to the casino (before) to make fun with my friends after having huge loads of works from the job. It was to feel like a stress reliever especially when you win, that something like that.

But somehow, this could be a threat in some other way especially when got addicted and this become common nowadays since many gamblers had been able to spend more time in the house and do gambling. This could affect our financial management especially when we breach the limit and overspend the budget.
3128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: January 14, 2022, 09:25:46 PM

That eye injury is due to the car crash, so it doesn't count, and that was not serious compared to his situation before and he proved that he can still win a fight. Ugas Losses are mostly a split decision, so he is really a great fighter and who knows if he can give a good fight on Spence and make an upset again.

We cannot based on his past, I'm sure Ugas is a hard-working guy, and now that he is a champion also, his confidence will be high and he'll try to beat whoever will be in front of him.
I'm one of the guys who admire Ugas, he always comes to fight but when it comes to who he fought he only have an aging Pacquiao on his resume compared to Spence who has fought the best and the toughest, I like Ugas because of his sportsmanship, but there's no stopping Spence road to fighting Crawford, only Crawford can challenge Spence dominance in the ring.

I also like his sportsmanship, but this time his opponent is younger and really a stronger fighter. He needs more training if he wants to beat the talent of Spence. About Spence vs Crawford, we all want to see that but in the end, it still depends on how their promoter would agree on these things, remember that they are both champions and undefeated, they might have a problem with the revenue and purse negotiation.
3129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: January 14, 2022, 09:10:41 PM

GGG is now going to face another tough champion in Murata and let's hope that the fight can happen in 2022. GGG is not getting young and could just have a couple of fights in him. So he needs this fight very badly and seal his legacy without Canelo's name.

He will and let's hope that he will win because after that fight people will be calling the Canelo vs GGG Trilogy again.
At these betting odds below, GGG is a huge favorite so he will likely win this fight.

Quote
Gennadiy Golovkin (-750)
Ryota Murata (+460)

3130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 14, 2022, 08:49:13 PM

On the other hand though, if this will happen then more opportunities for other players. They don't need to wait longer just to have spots in the teams that we have right now but they will have more teams to choose with. What are the chances that this will happen? I don't know because if the PBA really wanted to expand and add more teams then they should've done it long time ago already but they aren't doing it until now.

That's right, and the salary will be more competitive as well as the competition is getting tougher. Actually, we have a lot of talented basketball players but only few of them are given the opportunity due to the limited number of big leagues, with the increasing popularity of MPBL, that gives them a good chance.

The basketball league is a business, MPBL players will only get more players if they are making good money from sponsors and from the live audience. So they need to be more popular and get good coverage in our favorite channels. Maybe a live stream on youtube and Facebook too, that would help increase their popularity.
3131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 14, 2022, 08:30:58 PM
So if ever they move Howard then, we don't know who will be their centers that can replace Dwight's experience and game IQ.

I think it's only Dwight Howard that will likely have a good value in return instead of trading those bunch of their guards and forwards that mostly heating the bench. I prefer DJ to be traded as a priority but I hope the Lakers can find a way to assess his value on the market.

Keep Dwight Howard and consider trading others instead. Or much better, stay with the current roster and don't change anything as I don't think a revamp approaching the half of the season will still save their asses on chemistry problems. Still don't understand why Vogel doesn't want to consider giving Howard much more playing time even back in NBA Bubble. Maybe because there's not much competition on the paint now as mostly, the most offenses came from perimeter and rainbow area? Regardless, a presence of a big man under the rim always has an impact.

Howard is one of those calibers centers that can provide. He's also a 2-way player if being paired with a good passer.

Not sure also why Coach Vogel keep sitting him and not to allow him to help inside with much longer time, either a coach decision or maybe there's

also, something with whom LeBron wants to play with him inside the court. No offense, but it's more on LeBron and how he wanted the game will

be played, he chooses who's going to be beside him.

Just saying, I don't have further knowledge about how the rotation coach Vogel handling the Lakers.  Wink

Maybe he is preserving Howard to be completely healthy in the playoffs? We are just speculating now because of the frustration we are feeling, we want the Lakers to win so we want to see the best players to be playing on the court.  They say coach knows better because they are hired to do the job, but we just can't avoid to think like a coach sometimes.  Smiley
3132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Know when to buy and hold on: January 14, 2022, 02:38:27 PM
When to buy? During the dip or corrections.
When to hold? During the dip or corrections.

We just ended up holding our coins all the time. That is not the thing we look for. If there is someone who has the eyes to look at the exact time to buy, he is special but there is none. And the market itself remains unpredictable no matter what we do, even manipulations will fail to tell.

it just a matter of time before we can decide when to buy and when to hold, that is our own decision and nobody could give you that favor.
3133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Strike has launched in Argentina on: January 14, 2022, 12:38:20 PM
I think the main reason to fight with inflation is the use of Bitcoin. However, strike is the most easiest way to buy bitcoin. These makes bitcoin simple and cheap.
What will happen to fiat money will likely happen to Bitcoin someday. The market is so tricky, as well as manipulation. Bitcoin could help but not literally it will stop inflations, not for sure.

May the Argentinian leaders will take this as an opportunity to help their people through Bitcoin but this will only happen if they are also interested in this. Perhaps, haven't heard that that will adopt crypto (or just missed it). I hope they will get it and officially have a plan in regards to Bitcoin adoption just like El Salvador did.
3134  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Trading Bots on: January 14, 2022, 10:57:58 AM
You are right to hold some skepticism around trading bots, the truth is that bots can be very effective but there is a catch, if you do not know how to trade manually then there is little hope that you will make any money even with a trading bot, you need to know how to trade because if you do not then it is going to be impossible for you to actually know if the strategy that the bot is using is profitable or not, so if you were to code a bad strategy into the bot the only thing it will do is to lose money for you at an alarming speed.
That's what I always say to my friends who consider using trading bots, if they don't have any experience trading or they don't know how to do a trade themselves that generates profit then how will they generate that profit in a bot that only follows your instructions, a bot will only be as good as it's owner and the specifications that that person has added to the bot.
If they use trading bots without knowledge about trading, it is absolutely that they just waste their money and time. That is really not advisable for them and instead of learning how to use trading bots, they'd rather help themselves to learn first and focus on improving their knowledge and skill as this will not just give them the passive results but this helps them to realize that trading is not an easy job.

Maybe I could say that trading bot is also good but have to accept that this is not meant for everyone.
3135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How are your shitcoins? on: January 13, 2022, 11:48:00 PM
That's true and I think we should realize that shitcoins are not to be held because it's too risky,
don't have high expectations with shitcoins,
for the long term it is better to choose the top altcoins because they have the potential and the choices are also many
As for Shitcoin, let alone being held for the long term, it would be very wrong to choose it, because nothing new can be expected from it, even if there is only hype or temporary trends that will eventually disappear over time.
It was a lifetime holding, I'm sure. Well, if that miracle comes and someone will shill my shitcoins, I was so glad and sell them immediately but for now, that seems so hopeless. And besides, I don't check them, and obviously, the same thing that I could see, $0, is not listed in any exchanges.

I guess, we have to accept that this will be the future of buying shitcoins, participating in scam projects promotion receiving useless tokens. It is literally has nothing to expect from them.
3136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 13, 2022, 09:48:24 PM

My early pick.

Clippers vs Pelicans.

Pelicans here for me is the better team, they won their last 2 home games so there's no reason to bet against them. -3 is not so high and I think this odds is not a trap or something, the better team will win here and that will be the home team. SO GL to us, fade or follow.  Smiley

I'm in on this.

Elsewhere, I'll be going with Warriors ML vs the Bucks.

GL everyone.

There are barely any changes on the betting odds, I am not so sure on what team to bet on in this game, both teams are good and either team could win here if we based on the odds. I guess I would not choose a team, instead, I will go for the over as for sure it will be a showcase of offense.
3137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 13, 2022, 09:20:43 PM
Damian Lillard's injury would blow Portland chances. He will be out for at least two months, that's pretty long time. He would come back in play-offs but it's a big question which place they will be in there.
He is the heart and soul of the team, without him the Portland TrailBlazers will definitely struggle.
Last playoffs, he was the one who works hard to make the team more competitive although they lose to the Denver Nuggets.

NBA All-Star Voting is still going on and second results of fan vote just announced. It looks like starting lineups are ready, there is big vote difference for top 5 and others. The only competition is for third frontcourt player in Western conference. Wiggins and Paul George have very close votes, that may change. I don't expect other players to change.
Where can we find the voting results, can you put a link here?
3138  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Bulls Are Coming Back Soon, Are You Ready To Ride? on: January 13, 2022, 01:37:36 PM
I guess wait and see are better option rather than accumulate more Bitcoin right now because it's risky.
Maybe I could wait but I'd rather not miss this time and I'm still buying preparing for the Bullrun. Quite very optimistic, yeah...

Quote
The images is only one day candles, if you think it will pump with this chart... it wouldn't pump above $80K since candles are used for short term trading... not long term. Probably Bitcoin will crossed to $50K again as it's a strong resistance, but we don't know what will happen next.

That seems to notice that it always make changes day by day. Can't really sure by tomorrow but I guess, traders are ready enough to what it happen next. People will still take the buy option no matter what will happen. That it means risk but it was going to believe and have a huge chance that the market will move high than to drop again.
3139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a commodity market ? on: January 13, 2022, 12:31:22 PM
That was the first impression of the creator and also the people around but, it changes a lot this time, people are now considering Bitcoin as a huge investment and a moneymaker like stocks in the market. Even though it wasn't the purpose of this creation but that is now how it was meant to be. Whether it can be a commodity or not, people are giving hope for this, and eventually, it is.

It can be somehow a very important thing to the people and can be part of their life. And it can be more valuable in the future when it happens that it was officially considered as legal tender.
3140  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC has crossed $43k what's next? on: January 13, 2022, 02:05:29 AM
BTC has crossed the mark of $43k after a while and will it pump further towards $50k and is this the buy in period or else it will once again dump and stay around $40k for some more time? IMO there are more possibilities of bitcoin recovering from recent correction and March towards $50k which will send green signal for entire crypto market and we have even noticed it's positive effect today on top altcoins, what's your take on this?
It is always been a tricked which trend we go in the coming days but as we observed, once the dip is over, recovery comes next, and I guess we are heading to the uptrend motion. We have to low $40k, started to move up slowly and reaching back again to $43k, that a road to $45k. Were expect such a trend as it was happened before, kinda be a normal scenario to see in the market.

Well, we are still red in the chart, I'll be looking forward to seeing it in green someday and that be the sign for market improvement. Holders have saved the market and held the price not to dump below $40k.
