3121  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin vs. Gold: which has been more of a safe-haven asset in 2020? on: June 09, 2020, 10:55:08 PM
Neither of them could be considered as 'safe haven asset' as their track record in 2020 so far is very disappointed. To be fair, since the corona virus, many kind of assets in the red zone or uncertain zone. That's why I think the question should be which asset is more resistant at this time and my answer is gold.
Gold has lived already a hundred years and people considered it as a safe investment safer than bitcoin today. It's value is more fixed and it continues to have a higher appraisal as years go by. But with bitcoin, although its value always fluctuates, but we can't deny that it has higher returns compared to gold.
3122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ninety nine percent of new projects are money grabbers on: June 09, 2020, 10:31:40 PM
So do you think 9 out of 10 new projects are scams and only 1 is feasible? That's too much mate, if you do more research then from 10 projects we can find at least 4 or 5 that are truly worth investing.
Yes. Scammers are very rampant nowadays and they are everywhere wherever there is money involved. But if we can be very careful when it comes to investing, we can avoid those scammers and fall into a legit one. So it's really a must to DYOR first before making such investments so that our own money will not be wasted.
3123  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: THINGS THAT CAN'T BE TAUGHT IN TRADING on: June 08, 2020, 11:57:13 PM
I've got a new one here - controlling your emotions.
Controlling your emotions while setting up a trade is one of the major aspects a very few people know and this thing can't literally be taught to any person as it needs to be conquered on our own. I believe that OP should compile a list of such opinions and put the best ones in the first post so to give a glimpse of the points that are needed to be taken into mind and learnt on our own before jiving into trading.
Yes. Emotions in trading can't be taught or totally controlled because even if your trading ends with profits or losses, your own emotions will still have its own place in trading. They say controlling our emotions is a must in trading but i think it's just easy to tell but finds it hard to do when we are in actual trading.
3124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2020 rising altcoin on: June 08, 2020, 11:44:10 PM
I am sure that very few here would react positively to my recommendation. I would say that BCH is one of the best coins to invest right now. Bitcoin transaction fee has remained consistently high over the past few weeks and this may benefit Bitcoin Cash in the long run. I hate people such as Roger Ver as much as anyone here, but that doesn't stop me from investing in this coin. Let's separate out our emotions while investing.
I still go with ethereum because i believe it's still the most trusted altcoin this year particularly with its upgraded version Ethereum 2.0 which has more benefits to offer in the blockchain technology. And once ethereum hits its all time high price again, hodlers and investors will be very profitable again.
3125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trying to decide on: June 05, 2020, 08:17:48 PM
I recommend ADA good choice for investment with very faster profits chance. Unfortunately, I don't see any other strong profitable coin in your topic. Even if you wouldn't believe btc and eth then you can love ADA at this time.
ADA is a good choice for altcoin investment because it has high potentials to grow its value in the next months to come. But if i were you, i will include bitcoin in your portfolio knowing the fact that it's the most trusted investment here in the crypto market. Do not just focus on altcoin but also learn to diversify your portfolio with bitcoin too as you won't be disappointed in it no matter how volatile it is.

3127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: June 05, 2020, 10:48:49 AM

Here's the summary:

I watched all three games between these teams in this season. DEFENSE DEFENSE DEFENSE. The atmosphere was like in play off. Defense at the highest level on both sides. Patrick Beverley rules in this aspect. I don't like him but I really appreciate his skills and character. Games very even and extremely fierce. I hope for the LA derby in the final of the conference. I think that who will win this series will become a champion. I support Lakers, but above all good basketball.

Clippers has a better defense and they can spread the floor as any player can score, unlike with the Lakers that we can predict who's gonna make points, it could be either Lebron James of Anthony Davis. With the Clippers, they have PG, Leonard, and their center Montrezl Harrell, and of course you can't discount the contribution of Lou Williams.

Theoretically yes, but remember that LBJ&AD can shoot 70-80 pts combine. Even against Clippers defense. They can also count on the range shooters like Danny Green, KCP or Avery Bradley if they have a their day. Personally, I think that both teams are very even, and the disposition of the day will decide about the victory. Or maybe the genius of someone from the four: LBJ, AD, PG, KL.

These two are good, no doubt about that but I always believe that a better team work will beat talented players. Let's look at Leonard's achievement also as until now, he is still underrated despite we saw him perform his very best in the playoffs and bring success to the team. Remember that when Leonard was still new in the NBA, Spurs beat Lebron's team and Leonard got his first NBA Finals MVP at the age of 21 years old I guess.
3128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The best device for online gambling. on: June 05, 2020, 09:52:08 AM
Cellphone is just an alternative to me, when I'm gambling online, I am using my Laptop as I can see clearly whatever I am doing. Also, when I gamble, I do a lot of of stuffs online so it's more comfortable for me using my Laptop. Maybe you can make a poll so we can vote.
3129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What casinos have forums? on: June 05, 2020, 06:42:47 AM
The forum which is run by the casino itself it may be compromised to only show positive opinions.

I would agree with this, transparency might be compromise since they own the casino and they can control if they will delete a post, and being a casino owner, it should be their interest that they will value first, so if a gambler complain in their forum, I don't expect to get full and transparent evaluation. Having an ANN thread in different site might be the best idea IMO, but of course, I'm not saying they should not make their own forum, those are just the ugly side that we are mentioning here.

3131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Giving away too much quantities of tokens in bounties on: June 04, 2020, 11:55:08 PM
I've seen one or two bounty campaigns on here with massive token allocations for bounty participants, I'm wondering how this won't affect the value of the token, I believe giving away too many quantities of tokens can easily ruin the value of the token, most especially bounties that are doing 4 Rounds of campaigns, what's your take on this???

It depends on a lot of factors and in the end what matters is the product, use cases and community support, if a project has all these it has high probability of success irrespective of how many tokens were given away by them during their bounty campaigns.
Yes. Even if the bounty project has a lot of tokens to be distributed at the end of the campaign, it might dump at the end of the day but if there is a good promotion done on the project, investors will always see good opportunties to invest in it. Bounty project who has made a good impact to the audience or to the investors are most likely to succeed in the end.
3132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum planning to take over??? on: June 04, 2020, 11:35:44 PM
Take over what? if it's the entire market, then my answer would be NO.

Ethereum already rank number 2 in the entire market and number 1 in the altcoins market, so we can say it already has the best position now.
I don't expect it will beat bitcoin as the dominance alone, at 65% dominance of bitcoin, we can clearly see what's gonna happen if bitcoin will move.

There has been a big improvement of ETH already in terms of ranking, before, the competition of ETH and XRP was close, in fact XRP took the number 2 spot and just ETH just take it over last year I guess.

Comparing the two now, there's already a big disparity. (https://coinmarketcap.com/)

Ethereum $27,172,025,472 (marketcap)
XRP $9,036,777,062  (marketcap)

---

about the 32 ETH requirement for staking, this would push the demand of ETH again, and its expected to rise as the demand increases.

Ethereum won't overtake the performance of bitcoin because it will still gained the highest invested coin by investors in the crypto market. Ethereum has made a significant surge by now and with its ETH 2.0, i think there will be more great opportunities coming for ethereum as more projects will be ethereum based already in the next days to come.
3133  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why risk management is so important ? on: June 04, 2020, 11:19:28 PM
I believe only the money I withdraw from the exchange is what I win. Then ones in exchange are all my loss.

It is very strict, I know. While, it is the first we need to think before we invest, identify the risks. What if you lose all your coins? Nothing will worse than lose all, right? We can still support our live even we lose all. Then, do analyze, treat, monitor and review the risks.

Risk management is important. We need to know what we can lose before every start.
They say traders should know how to handle the risk they put in trading but i believe it's different already when you are in the real field of trading. You still need to control the risk but traders are more into making profits especially if we see good opportunities around. So we stick with our own plans and do the risks whatever it takes.

3135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin dilemma. on: June 03, 2020, 11:58:09 PM
Hi all,

So I had bought a few alts two years ago when we thought that things will keep going up and up. Two years down the line in a pathetic look at my portfolio it hurts. I had gotten in ETH at around 500, ADA at 0.70 and NEO around 80 dollars. What is the best way forward? Sell them and get in lower? modify my portfolio to todays prices or forget them and hope that some day it will go back up?

first you need to do an analysis with you alts above,,
if you predictions the price from your alts above will down more, just sell it now and buying back in the lower price
second if you can't predict the price, just hold mate, because you hold a very promissing altcoins Wink
Yes. You have potential altcoins in your portfolio and i think it will give you huge profits once the market turns to bullish. Just learn to be more patient in holding those altcoins because if it will not make good increase this year, it will eventually happen in the months or years to come. Do not be panic once you see the altcoins rice dump more because it will never stay in that price forever knowing that this crypto market turns its price upside down.
3136  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading mistakes i do on: June 03, 2020, 11:41:59 PM
Let's change the subject to "Trading mistakes everyone do".

For me, I don't see those as a big mistake. We need to experience mistakes and losses first before we think of a way how to prevent it in the future. There is no way newbies will not experience those.

Even I still experiencing losses and mistakes as it was common. Other mistakes also considered human nature.

As we gained experienced and move forward, those mistakes will eventually minimize until such point that everything can be handle now.
Yes. We all commit mistakes in trading as this one cannot be avoided even how skilled or professional we are in  trading. But the good thing in trading is that if you keep on doing it with all the lessons you learned everytime you trade, you will be become more wiser in trading and will be able to handle your losses once you trade.
3137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stop blaming bounty hunters on: June 03, 2020, 11:21:19 PM
--

Bounty are doing their own part of the job helping to create awareness for the token, and the tokens they receive at the end is their payment and there is nothing wrong with them selling it, that's their main purpose of doing that job at first. Investors are the ones we should blame, because they will invest and once the project is a little high they will start dumping it. Impatience!
I also wonder why bounty hunters are blamed for selling the rewards they get after working hard? this is really unfair.
Actually the role of investors, dev, bounty hunter, and all aspects of this support influence each other. Just because a bounty hunter is considered to be a coin or token "for free" when in fact it is not because bounty hunters must do "work according to the rules" to get rewards.
So please don't blame each other.
Yes. Bounty hunters should not be blamed for the dumping of tokens because selling their rewards is the only way where they can make profits particularly if they have sell them at a good price. Investors actually might be even responsible for this and not those small earners bounty hunters who make lots of effort in promoting the project.
3138  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What was your experience trading cryptocurrency? on: June 02, 2020, 11:57:09 PM
TBH, it wasn't really a perfect day all the time. Maybe it is quite normal to experience bloodbath sometimes the same as what it happens to the others.
But ain't make me think all in negative and even drop my trust to myself.

One thing I've found out when you are in trading,
BE FOCUS on your trading...something that I missed in the past days that brings me into a sad end but it serves as learnings to me in returns. It has something we need to take action in order to help it out from the recurrence of the same mistake.
The first days of my trading ended up with a lot of mistakes which made me a loser that time. But i never blame myself because trading wasn't that easy especially that i'm still a newbie. But from those mistakes i have gained, it made me challenge to trade again with more confidence and to regain my previous losses. Although i can say that i'm not that profitable in trading, but i learned how to minimize my losses and focus on maximizing profits.
3139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the new cryptocurrency worth buying on: June 02, 2020, 11:48:37 PM
I'd stay with whatever brings me profit and not look for other "opportunities". Impatient people want more and more and forget that they are already invested in something volatile and risky which is Bitcoin and go into even more risky and volatile altcoins  and lose money.

I don't understand why some of you who got profit from BTC buy shitcoins. Want to increase the risk? Buy some ETH! Don't waste time and money on some stupid coins like Tron and some even worse scams.
I'd rather focus on bitcoin because it's the most proven and profitable coin i have invested. Ethereum is a good coin too next to bitcoin but trusting new crypto coin aside from them, i think i won't risk my money investing in it and might only lose it at the end of the day.
3140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunters aren't responsible for dumps on: June 02, 2020, 08:52:10 AM
But you have to realize that if team distributes for example 100 000USD to the bounty participants at a same day and the token doesn´t have enough liquidity, and all of these bounty participants decide to sell, it ia a big selling pressure and the price will fall until its find enough buyers.  Wink

Maybe you are right,,
But, in my opinion not all bounty hunters will sell their rewards after they received mate,,
And maybe if the crowsale from the project succed,, ot at least can reach the soft cap,
why the team do not buy back the token at exchange to keep the trust from crypto investors

Indeed, I am one of those who still hold the token reward from bounties.  Since I believed the project team, I tend to hold my bounty rewards until the project succeeds, alas, lots of these project are already dead and I am left bag holding their worthless tokens.
That was also my belief way back then. Until i realized that holding my tokens for a period of time won't cause any good but leaving all my tokens worthless. Bounty hunters promote the bounty project to attract investors, and in return, we are paid with tokens which are intended to sell for us to make profits too. It might dump the price of the tokens but it was never our intention so we should not be blame for it.
