3141  Other / Archival / Re: Refresh page or F5 sends merit on: February 17, 2022, 08:01:44 AM
and then refresh the page through the browser or F5, the merit will be sent again. Although if you do this without a short break, then a window will pop up warning you about merit sending to the post twice.
It will only proceed once you click the resend button, so it still the user's fault if he will proceed.

While theymos have solution something like this "remerit" but it's for the clicking the merit button twice.
Alright, you now can't merit the same post with the same amount within 60 seconds.

So I don't think we will see a solution or kind of fix for this since this is not a big problem.
3142  Other / Meta / Re: Forum Time Machine - Mining bitcoin with Pentium processor on: February 17, 2022, 01:07:45 AM
LOL, no! Owning a personal computer 12 years ago was actually much more common than you suggest. I don't have the exact source of the numbers, but I'm sure over 70% of households in developed countries owned a PC with a broadband internet connection. I mean, we're talking about a time where the iPhone was already in its fourth generation.

Stating source facts is more reasonable than Lol'ing someone's statement without fully understanding it.

that he would become technically advanced?
By the fact that most household in US have computers and internet plus a good education doesn't mean they would become technically literate, it just few including theymos have different taste for such stuffs.
3143  Other / Meta / Re: Forum Time Machine - Mining bitcoin with Pentium processor on: February 16, 2022, 11:15:36 PM
Could it be that during his time in high school and his freshman year, he received such a cool education that he would become technically advanced?
Probably yes, mentioning that time around 2010 owning a computer is a lot considering it's expensive, at least in my place when you have a computer and internet connection, mean you have the resources and money.
3144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Almost Lost Bitcoins Recovered - Forgotten Wallet Details on: February 15, 2022, 02:33:44 PM
~ I don't know how far this is true or is this a way of promoting Crypto Treasure Hunters, but this is really a happy moment for Rhonda getting back her bitcoins after nine years.
Yeah there's promotion involve but the story sounds true to me.

Photo of the father and son who helped her in another article:

We'll never see 'Rhonda' for security purposes.

~ While reading, I was waiting for the part where she gave them too much info, and they got all the coins for themselves.
Mine was a little different. She gave them info, paid an upfront money, and never got anything in return Grin It's the stories that I usually read from victims of (fraudulent) recovery services. She was lucky to meet those guys instead of scammers
I almost thought that it just a good fantasy story until I read this reply. Seems it's really like good story, from 80$ to well, hundred of thousands in a matter of 8~9 years.

From the hackers perspective seems it's a win-win, plus they were now cover from different press, this will also boost their recovery service or any technical related services, free ads from huge press media  Cool
3145  Economy / Services / Re: Request FREEPIK Premium File for FREE on: February 14, 2022, 11:27:17 PM
It works. Thanks a lot.
Yap, Mega is quite acceptable. btw. Uploaders on free file hosting services earn money from them, that's why he relentlessly puts files there. and yes, it can be very tiring, especially with advertisements that looks like a download button.
You're welcome!

Yes I knew the services on this free file hosting and they earns using those ads that's why I have a note to have a strong ad blocker before accessing the site coz they're annoying.
3146  Other / Meta / Re: Attempted account hacking via forgot account password on: February 14, 2022, 11:18:56 PM
Do you think something like this would be very dangerous if I ignored it without changing the password to a stronger one than before?
Yes? Most recent hacking incidents and hacked accounts are used to getting involved in posting malicious downloadable miner and its very dangerous to others if it was downloaded.

While it could be assuring for you to recover your account since you have signed message but its inconvenience for you since it will take weeks to recover.
3147  Economy / Services / Re: Request FREEPIK Premium File for FREE on: February 13, 2022, 05:54:49 PM
How many requests I can post here?
I need a couple of pieces, but a final decision has not yet been made which of them are the best choice. I would like to test it all if it's possible.
I can cut out the list if I ask too much.
Thanks  Wink

....

You can make as many as you want Smiley. Kidding aside.

Freepik have limits of 100 download files a day. So as long as it will not exceed that number and as long I'm available online it will be okay to request.

Here's the download link of your request, I zip it all so I only need to upload 1 file instead of every file request.
Code:
https://mega.nz/file/JwsCBIgK#zjmtyZ38lE1keZOBn8fTXVIx2BoOx7NVjLRgSiqs6mE
Btw I used Mega since I think it's more secure accessing and downloading files from their site instead of other free file hosting that are full of ads.
3148  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wanting to cash out at ARC on: February 13, 2022, 04:37:22 AM
I want to cash out..... they pay bitcoin and bitcoin cash ....they require me to have a wallet address and I have no clue what that is.
Yes, like what I posted above. You can use blockstream green wallet [1] Or edge [2]  both of them can be use in mobile. For simple words, bitcoin wallet address is used to received bitcoins and it is generated using this bitcoin wallets.

For more information heres the basic information of bitcoin wallets check here[3]

If you are in US, coinbase is an option buying bitcoin. Due to some rules sending from exchange directly to gambling websites is prohibited and will cause of banning or disabling your account in the exchange.

What you need to do is send the bitcoin from coinbase to a bitcoin wallet like blockstream green wallet, then send it to the ACR if this what you mean instead of sending to a bank.
3150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Oscar Awards 2022 betting thread on: February 12, 2022, 11:43:53 PM
I just see this thread and it make me laugh and awe. That even an event like this can be put in for betting on sportsbooks.
Betting on this should have seen those movies to have better knowledge and analysis who can get the award and I guess this is harder to win than a common sports betting.
3151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Tether Ethereum? on: February 12, 2022, 10:56:52 PM
So if person A has USDT on Ethereum and person B on Tron, basically those are 2 different tokens a d person A cannot send Tether to person B?
Yep, correct. Since both blockchains are isolated on its own network, inter-transaction of USDT are not possible.

Another scenario is A send USDT on BEP20 chain to B, but B is expecting to receive it on the ERC20 chain. Due to the nature of the underlying technicalities, the transaction will be accepted but the transaction is only happened on the BEP20 chain, not on ERC20, thus B did not receive the token.

Ufff wow, didn't expect it would be so complicated
Yes, it is. If you don't know how exactly sending crypto work is, you will end up lossing them upon sending, depositing or withdrawing on exchanges or wallets, though it might have some solution to recover it, but its too technical.
3152  Economy / Economics / Re: Gambling with China and US on: February 12, 2022, 10:45:26 PM

America and the "Quad" are scared that China's aggressive business partnership, infrastructural loans and politically interference in the Pacific will make them loose a strategic partner.

The leaders of the Pacific should cease this opportunity and get the best economic deal. Since both China and US wants their partnership, these leader should consider the offers from both parties and secure the best deal. I am sure the Chinese would visit immediately after the American Secretary leaves the Pacific.
That is how china moves since then, there are already some countries that was sanctioned by china due to not paying its debt to them. They're getting more and more power because of this. That is why asking help from china is like a double edge sword, leaders knows that but ends up choosing to get a debt from china since they are most favorable and with "good" terms.

2) If I was to stake my 1 bit coin what would I get in return as a passive income.
I'll leave the others to answer other questions, but this, you should know that holding bitcoin is not just to make an income, just so you know, lots of people becomes poor in one night holding bitcoin because of poor of decision making and understanding how investing in bitcoin works. It's the same on staking coins, but regarding the staking in etoro they dont have staking for bitcoin, based on their staking page[1], they only supports ADA and TRX

3154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: there is no Play-to-Earn Game on: February 12, 2022, 03:19:03 PM
Because it was considered as a "job", so it's not already a game? So you can't make a job out of the game? When it was considered as that?

It's like facebook, as a social media, just because anyone can make a job of out it, so it's not already considered as a social media? but a job? So what you can call that now?

I say, whether what you explains on how you can make a job, earn, win, lost, invest, sell, buy in the platform it is still the platform as it is, game, job is just another category is considered out of it.
3155  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Transferring BTC from Coinbase to Nano Ledger Fee? on: February 12, 2022, 07:54:22 AM
I remember withdrawing from binance.com and the btc withdraw fee was a flat 0.005 btc fee a while back.
You mean 0.0005 BTC. 0.005 BTC is ridiculous fee from an exchange that use fixed fees for transaction fees.

Is this the non-custodial wallet of coinbase you are using or the exchange/account, if you bought that bitcoin on their exchange/account then it's probably had to show in your local currency.

Fees may vary on lots of things, but sending this time will only require smaller fee 5 sat/vbyte enough I guess, and I think it will not as high as $2
3156  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rapper wins 1,3M$ on: February 12, 2022, 07:40:45 AM
We have to ask ourselves to what extent this story is actually true. If you were to win that much money, would you share that information on the internet? Do not think so. There are many influencers active. The story may be real, but when things seem too good to be true, they often are. It is indeed a huge amount that is mentioned. I know the Superbowl is famous with big bets.
Sometimes when you heard something from an influencer or famous people in the internet talking about a website, services, product, etc. you will find it obviously as a sponsored content even though they don't announce it.

A $500,000 bet is not risky if this amount is just a spare to you, considering it's drake, although I don't know what kind of risk management he do, but based on his bets seems like it's not his first time he bet such amount.
3157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the most important features of an online crypto casino? on: February 11, 2022, 08:48:54 PM
I think the same, while a heavy marketing campaign indicates a focus in that area from the casino it does not necessarily mean that is legitimate, as scammers could be bidding their time and act as honest people until they can get a whale to play on their casino and then scam them, so a heavy marketing strategy does not tell us if the people behind the casino will actually honor the bets you place at that casino.
Welp, that is actually the most commonly used strategy of a scammer. Promote, promote, promote until someone get hooked then profit, and cycle will just going.

If I'm going to decide for what is important feature for such, responsiveness to complaints and customer service should be prioritized. Many promising gambling website are showing here with good UI, games, lots of offers yet lacking of customer supports.
Provable fairness is one of the features users will always be looking in a gambling casino so it should be considered too.
3158  Economy / Services / Re: thanks on: February 11, 2022, 08:21:56 PM
What is the appreciation of Thanks for?
You guys are talking of $45, on what task or job to be done?
Make your thread more meaningful. If you have an already existing thread that contains the main information about your offer or appreciation, put a link on your post to make it more meaningful. Otherwise, this could be termed spam.

need some help online and a partner to do some online work for me and help me on some aspects of the site I'm working on.
payment 45$ in Bitcoin/Tron
telegram for details = @gibbeethyu1

Most likely, the user above was fooled and was scammed, @alexeyneu better you can create a scam accusation though it's lil bit useless since the OP is just a newbie account, anytime he can create a new one.
3159  Other / Meta / Re: What wrong with Bitcointalk? on: February 11, 2022, 05:32:25 AM
A lot of times I see problems like this.
Can you link threads with the same problem? I never heard nor experienced something like this recently..

Especially when too much of users start posting on the forum together. like when bounty manager Bounty Detective post a campaign then many bounty hunters start POA posting together. And then there is such an effect on the whole forum. I could not login my account for this problem yesterday.
Can you tell us why you conclude such statement, did you just try it by yourself? - the posting of POA together? or what?

I don't know if it's the same to others, but I will always choose to check the "login forever" thing  when logging in due to lots of reasons including the captcha and not to logging in again.

This not a browser problem. I heard it happened to a few more people. In my experience I think this is happen due to a weak server. But I want the opinion of more experts

Have you check it on isitdownrightnow.com that time it appears? What it shows? if it was then its just temporary. I don't say this site's server is weak or what, coz if it is, we will experience more downtime that what you could have experienced.
3160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia and central Bank agreed to legalize cryptocurrency as a form of currency on: February 10, 2022, 10:15:22 PM
They should do it even earlier, banning something in the internet is useless. Plus it's an industry generating business, employment and taxes for their government, they should think that positive side instead of thinking of banning it in the early years - talking about mining.

Anyhow, it's good for their government and good for the community.
