yes i invest 266 BTC and pictured every post on tweeter and bitcointalk this morning before deleting. and follow the payments for contracts, they send to all payments to blockchain.info/address/13p5iQkqBEVgKmPeJqEL2LBRS44PjX1dZL and pictured all ips on blockchain for transactions. and blockchain personel replied me ' be careful they are scammers and this address will be blocked soon' they have 6396 BTC in it

makes no sense at all. every post is from them is probably archived via google and other archive sites. you can't delete something off of the internet so easy

@puppet: Can you update the list and add cloudminr.io to the collapsed ponzies  Grin -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=850784.msg11802519#msg11802519

let me guess before I read this link: they have been hacked.

edit: yup I was right.
3143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: New to this. Paid tx fee, zero confirmations after several hours. Help? on: July 07, 2015, 07:25:35 AM
There is quite a large number of unconfirmed transactions, 11800 and counting. This is creating a large backlog and is possibly why these transactions have not been confirmed yet.

Someone was speculating about another bitcoin stress test going on. Or maybe a frenzy has started in the PIGS?

EDIT: Apparently the answer is yes - 150 TX/second is way more than the Bitcoin network can handle. Someone is clogging up the system. Stupid of them considering the timing, we don't need to be driving new folks away with a test that gives results we all already know!

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1111811.msg11807542#msg11807542

those test are actaully useful to determinate from when we should start with the TX increase in the XT client or future core upgrade, because maybe 4mb would be sufficient instead of the 8MB planned

hmm... what if some entity is trying to force bigger blocks with this spam? who would gain the most of bigger blocks?
3144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are we stress testing again? on: July 07, 2015, 06:54:24 AM
I made a transaction from localbitcoins.com yesterday.

https://blockchain.info/address/1HpaHwTwtk2BHQ7QRGPrvvG2KQm5F1vL4w

Still didn't go through. Is it possible that zhey payed only 0.0001 fee for all of this BTC sent?

The tx fee is 0.0001211 btc and the tx size is 1211 bytes, so the sender is paying only 0.1 mBTC per KB.
From http://bitcoinexchangerate.org/fees, you can see there are a lot of transactions (nearly 15 MB) paying more fee than yours and are still unconfirmed.

Well exactly that. I just cannot understand that one prominent business as that would do that. I mean stress test or not, a 0.0001 tx fee per transaction would be confirmed faster than this BS. And I need BTC urgently!

When can I expect this will be confirmed?
Thanks

I guess you will need to at least wait for a few more hours. With a 1 MB block size, those 15 MB transactions will take at least 15 blocks to clear, and don't forget there are also new transactions in the mean time.

yep, if you want it faster setup a higher tx fee... could still take some hours to clear though
3145  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CloudThink.IO removed management pictures after being caught with stealing on: July 07, 2015, 06:51:03 AM
I had a belief CoinTelegraph was different but I was wrong, very wrong! Undecided

http://cointelegraph.com/news/114740/cloudthink (archive)

CloudThink is a cloud mining service and mining hardware developer headquartered in the UK, with a second company running their mining operations in Taiwan. Unlike other cloud mining services, some of which simply allocate hashing power to their clients without further involvement, CloudThink offers daily payouts based upon the company's trading performance and guarantees customers a minimum level of profit based on the package contract they purchase

Cointelegraph was never different than any others, it surprises me that people believe whatever they read, when they should use their heads instead, for their own good.
Did someone contact them to remove the article or?

good job on the archive! those "news" sites tend to get rid of questionable posts in silent.

i miss garza errr ..... i mean samiam666. Come back and play with us please....?

You can do an ask me anything and lie through your teeth like the good old days and add a smirky grin to it.

I'll start with some possible questions for your ask me anything.

1. How has the transition from 5 star restaurants to spam and 2 minute noodles gone?
2. What kind of car do you drive today?
3. Have you picked any names out yet for your unborn illegitimate child yet? If so could you let us in on a few?
4. How was the 4th of July? Did uncle stuart fraser visit? Did he come in the tesla elon musk gifted you? Has this upset elon musk that you gave away such a personal gift from him?

Anyone else want to add some more questions for his next ask me anything?

I was under the impression that Carlos is in charge for the illegitimate child? we need someone to dig through the mails and write a summary.

This volume @bter isn't enough for shapeshift?

It's getting there I'd say. When it was 4BTC between bter and polo the answer was no. It needs to be steady though.

could be enough, but if shapeshift is unable to get qora out of bter, they won't do it anyways.

that too.

any news from ccedk?

maybe you could ask banx to add qora... they need some users

stress test still going?
3149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are we stress testing again? on: July 06, 2015, 08:40:30 PM
oh, that explains why I'm waiting too... didn't they run a stress test recently? why another one now?  Roll Eyes

I don't pretend to quite understand what has happened here, but it's good to know that it's apparently a recognized issue.
Could someone offer a brief, noob-friendly outline as to why a84fbe6372584f39363e01902e96e4e67858c6c9e8a6cfe511c0a7df8f198420 (not my wallet) is unconfirmed and how I can avoid this happening again? Not terribly comfortable with the notion that I can spend bitcoins and have them confirmed in minutes not hours, but only conditionally, depending on the way in which they were sent to me.

https://blockchain.info/tx/a84fbe6372584f39363e01902e96e4e67858c6c9e8a6cfe511c0a7df8f198420

check the "fees" - it's quite low. I'm waiting since 2 hours too for a low fee TX. just takes some time, but it will go through eventually

Great list, Ctrl+D Wink thanks op.
I prefer to coinurl although this through by click ads not impression. And for back-up I prefer to a-ads.

as far as I know coinurl is very stealthy about clicks and stuff... can you check your clickstats on coinurl?

what about Dubai?
A few dozen pages back, it was hinted that he had to flee Dubai for unclear reasons. It's all very hazy as he's publicly dropped off the radar and has gone incommunicado.

really? I need to read up lol. no to dubai, but who confirmed he's back in the us?

Is there a TLDR update?
Is Josh in Jail yet or is he still free spending our money?

tl;dr: He's effectively broke. Not in jail yet. Default judgement of ~$350k to Mississippi Power Company. Apparently hiding out in Texas near Houston. Still waiting for the law to catch up with him.

where's the texas near houston proof? was it posted on facebook? (what about Dubai?)
3154  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Do we have a secure online wallet yet? on: July 06, 2015, 05:02:36 PM
I only used mycelium and electrum. It's much secure for me, especially new version of electrum, they support for multisig and available for 2fa.

2fa on electrum is nice and stuff, but I've heard some horror stories about people losing their mobile and didn't backup their seed words properly... lost forever

It says probable, he doesnt really confirm anything

Probable actually means likely to happen ( see reference below ) . If it is coming from the admin himself than you can be sure that the accuracy for this might be around ~99 % because admin has the ability to check on the IP as well as the other thing that no normal user can check on this. In other word it is confirmed that it is the same person behind the account

Code:
Likely to happen or be the case:

http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/probable

this. you can be sure theymos did his due diligence as the admin of bitcointalk. I'd say he will change account after some time again to start with a pure non-trust.

TL;DR Travis Mitchell tries to copy&paste the paycoin model? what's his nick on talk.paycoin?

https://talk.paycoin.com/profile/94/TravisMitchell

TL;DR Version

"UK Digital Futures Ltd" comes into his bct thread and posts how they are 'investing' heavily in the coin and have been for the past year
UK Companies House records show the company was only incorporate less than two weeks ago
When asked how they can have been investing for so much longer than they have existed or, for that matter, if they are a licensed investment company my posts are rapidly deleted by Travis, twice.
But it may have been more to do with their rather odd claims towards how they were going to move from decentralised to centralised and provide a cryptocurrency 'bank' that might have been the reason for the deletion because,
drum roll please
It would apppear that a Mr Resad Hassan, who admits to having NO technical knowledge whatsoever, is under the impression that Trav is super-trustworthy, you know, the coin is called TRUSTplus, after all. Travis, however, doesn't appear to have mentioned to Resad and his 'investors' (who are off the building sites he works on, BTFW!), that owning 50% of a PoS coin and centralising it will pretty much destroy that coin instantly. Nobody will want to use it, I don't think I need to explain why here.

Prior to this he had managed to find a clever maths PhD who was using the coin to create some kind of transaction-fog-based anon-but-not-actually-anon-anon, which didn't really seem to serve a purpose but reminded me of Josh's super-flux-hyperchain-thing because it sounded clever rather than anything else, anyhoo, this latest event of roping in some Indian 'investment' fella by painting a less-than-honest picture of the realities of cryptocurrency, is *so* much in the Homero play-book it is absurd.

thank you! and you're absolutely right about the transaction-fog-blergh vs hyperflux-scame-garzachain. reeks of Garza.

Oh-em-gee it seems that Josh-Lite (Travis Mitchell) has persuaded his 'budget-Rishabh' 'investor' to buy over 50% of his PoS coin, thereby rendering it instantly worthless.

Relevance to XPY? Travis Mitchell is the founder of talk.paycoin.com
